Welcome to the Lovieba, Vegas for ghost to Kepis PRODUCT. With myself, Greg Eipson, Peter PERSON, and now part of the Beeson Family Podcast. We've got an excellent podcast for you guys. Join to be in segment number two. We're going to be joined by Brian Roth PERSON. He does such great work over at Heat Check, CBB. We're going to be joined by Brian Rolf. He does such great work over at Heat Check CBB ORG.We're going to be chatting with him about what he's all seen here in the transfer portal process, some of what he likes, some of what he doesn't like, how good some of the fits are with regards to some of these programs, and we've got a lot of thoughts as of what is happening in terms of some of these coaches that are, slash, or not, bringing over the guys from their previous stop, like we are seeing John Cala Perry bringing over a lot of Kentucky ORG recruits. We're going to be seeing which teams they have some work to do and how much more, a little bit more top-heavy this offseason is because we now have that May 1st deadline in terms of guys that are wanting to go into the transfer portal, whether they're a graduate transfer, whether they're just a normal underclassman. They have to declare by May 1st and so are the wrinkles that that throws in there. And then in the final segment, we're going to get you guys a roundup as to all the newsthat notes that we saw in college basketball on Saturday. If you do have a question, comment, segment idea what I have before this podcast, you have one of two ways we'll fire those in. First one is my Twitter ORG slash X timeline at June 9-un-uner-1. Keep in line, let's see, um, maybe does not matter. Size per usual, please you send these into the timeline.Other way, that is vying an Apple ORG podcast review. If you rate this podcast five stars, it is very much appreciated. And then from there, you are able to fire in whatever you'd like to hear on this podcast via that five star review. Again, please do send in those questions because I hear a lot of segment number one around it. And we have not really gotten in a lot of Twitter slash X questions quite yet. But that said, what I do think is very interesting is to just take a look at some of these teams and the moves that they are making.Like Creighton is a very prime example. They lose Trey Alexander PERSON, but they did a nice job bringing in pops Isaacs on Saturday. But something that you do want to be mindful of is taking a look at these teams and how much depth do you think that they're going to be able to have moving forward? Because we've seen it with Creighton ORG, and it's a big reason why I've been a little bit slower on Creighton the last few seasons. It's not because the top end talent is bad. They've always had a really good starting five, but it's because they don't really have a bench that they're able to utilize, and that's something that I'm going to be watching for this offseason. You also want to watch in relation to how a team really operates in terms of their tempo. Like if you're trying to be, let's say, Alabama GPE, for example, and you've only got five guys who are able to utilize. That's not great to say the least. If you're looking to play up tempo and you're about 10 deep, that's absolutely tremendous. Meanwhile, if you're playing at a speed like Virginia ORG, you probably don't need to be able to go 10 or so deep. I think it's much less of a detriment when you have a little bit more depth rather than a little bit less depth.Less depth, that is always really, really bad, especially if you're playing a little bit more of an up-tempo style. But that is something that you do want to be mindful of, and I do think that that's something that you want to be keeping in your ledger moving forward. So, well, I absolutely love the fact that Creighton was able to bring in Pop's Isaacs on Saturday. I think that that's going to be a great move for them moving forward.Have to mute it just a little bit unless if they're able to bring in another guy or two to be able to help out with that depth. And helping out with the depth of this podcast is Brian Roff PERSON. He does absolutely tremendous work already. We should be chatting with them next. Right here on, Chris Goodsukes with Gary and eat, Peter PERSON, and now, apart, and the music family by.

Now part of the VEason Family Podcast ORG, it is always great to be joined by this man, as Brian Roth PERSON is out there in the northeast part of the country, but doing an amazing job. Taking a look at this great game that we all know and love of college basketball. He has won the headwriters over there at Heech, CBB ORG, and he is one of the host of the He Check CBB Hangout ORG.I know that he, Riley Davis, along with Connor Ope PERSON, do a tremendous job on that show slash podcast. And Brian, he's been having his finger on the pulse of everything that we've been seeing here in the outseason. You're able to follow him on Twitter slash X at the letter B. His last name, Ralph, RAUF, and then the number 33 altogether. And Brian, always great to have you aboard.Thank you. Yeah, thanks for having me on. I appreciate it. I appreciate you, Brian. And what I can appreciate about this great game of college basketball is that it is now all 12 months out of the year. It used to be that we could sleep in May, but there is nosleeping in May because, for one, I do baseball handicapping as well, but for two, we've got so much

Speaker 0599.14s - 622.86s

movement with regards to a transfer portal right now and just how do you gauge these teams and sort of, for lack of better term, the arms race to be able bringing these guys because it feels like in this offseason where the transfer portal deadline for these guys to enter is coming up on May 1st. It feels like if you're not getting guys right now, you're really falling behind the 8 ball. And I think that there's been more emphasis this offseason and just getting guys in early.

Speaker 9623.16s - 678.96s

I think so. And the May 1st deadline has a lot to do with that. I know there were a couple of schools last year that landed big additions, right, late in July and August. Yukon and Cam Spencer PERSON coming to mind late additions to the portal and then late additions to their new teams. The May 1st deadline is going to cut down some of those. So there are still going to be some commitments that happen later on the summer. Like the May 1st deadline is not the deadline to commit to your school. It's just to be in the portal. So there are still going to be players who commit later in the summer. So it is important to take with a grain of salt that the landscape right now is not going to be the landscape in two months, let alone two weeks, let alone two days. These things are so fluid. But at the same time, the teams that could wait and potentially try and get a grad transfer somebody's under the portal in the summer, that opportunity isn't there anymore. So there is a bit more of a flurry now in April, which is more chaotic, certainly, and I know coaches don't like it, but it may be feeling differently when we get to July or August andthings are hopefully a little bit calmer.

Speaker 12679.28s - 702.8s

Yeah, Ben PERSON, I do want to ask you about this as well. And if you have no inside information, I don't blame you, because there's not a lot of people. I know what the NCAA ORG is going to do. But do you think that the NCAA is actually going to be holding true to this May 1st deadline of entering into the transfer portal, or could this be what we've seen in a past year is where they throw out a suggested date and then the rules get bent all out of shape? I think they'll stick with it. You know, I'm sure

Speaker 9702.8s - 720.94s

someone will try and challenge it because the NCAA has been just a punching bag for everything recently and many times, rightfully so. But you give players a month, month and a half after their season ends to enter the portal. That's plenty of time. That's ample opportunity. I wouldn't expect there to be a ton of guys that try and really push

Speaker 12720.94s - 784.2s

the envelope. Yep, I'm right there with you. And I think that it's a very, very fair deadline in general. But as we know, the NCAA ORG, they have been flip-flopping, to say the least, on a lot of their decisions. As Brian Roffey PERSON does, absolutely amazing work. Albright, He Tech CBB is joining me right here on Costco Supet PRODUCT. It has been really interesting to see what we've all gotten here in the offseason. And how much do you think that there's going to be an emphasis for the teams that have a returning coach because when you've gotten a new coach typically you're going to an exodus you're having to replace a lot of guys a lot of these new coaches they've got absolutely no choice but to bring in like six plus guys in the transfer portal just because everyone else left but how much you think that there's going to be a little bit more of an emphasis on some of these coaches that aren't new at a program to really retain some of their own because we've just noticed in the last few years, the teams that have been able to make a run tothe NCAA tournament, even if they picked up a guy in the NC in the transfer portal, like, for example, Tristan Newton, Mark Sears PERSON, they were able to keep them on for multiple years. I do think that there's becoming more of more of an emphasis to, for lack of a better term, re-recruit the current roster.

Speaker 9784.52s - 869.1s

It is. It's very important from a continuity standpoint, right? Like, that's vitally important in basketball at all levels. We're totally in college basketball, and when you get to the anti-termament in that single-limation format, the one game sample size of every individual game determining everybody's season. Continuity and experience matters there. We're at a point where you do needtransfers to win. They had all the stats of all the starting lines on the final four and, you know, 70% of them didn't start at the school they were playing at in the final four. That's just part of the way college basketball is nowadays. We like to lean on like, well, you don't need transfers to win. You do, but we have seen a bit of a pushback to where transfer heavy, transfer overhaul, entirely new transfer classes aren't the ones that are having success. It's the programs that are able to match some of that continuity with adding maybe two or three guys in the portalto plug and play and fill some holes and maybe stay with your program for two or three years, right? Yukon ORG, as you mentioned is one that had a number of transfers but cam spencer was only one year guy tristan newton had been there for two years like asan d'ar had been there for two years you had a couple of guys who were transfers but i've been with the program for multiple years and so the goal was not to turn things over every year it's treating the portal like high school recruiting in the sense of i can get two guys to plug some holes and potentially build on here, supposed to building an entirely new roster every season.

Speaker 12869.36s - 906.14s

Yep, and I think that that is so important to do. And I think that it's just so important that when you add a guy in the transfer portal, not to just add a guy for the sake of adding a guy, but know your needs, much like you were mentioning with Yukon ORG, bringing in Cam Spencer last year. He was that missing ingredient for them. And I think that that's just so big moving forward. And I did allude to it. There are going to be newer coaches that they need to bring in a lot of guys out out the transfer portal because flat out when you have a new coach, when you have a coaching change, a lot of guys, they just decide to leave. They go portaling. But out of all the new coaches that you've seen, which ones do you think have built the best rosters so far? Because I do think that there have been a lot of good coaching hires as far.

Speaker 0906.3s - 914.44s

And I just think to look at all these coaches. And there are a few that I've gotten out of the blocks a little bit slow. But a lot of these guys have done a nice job, in my opinion, have just hitting the ground running.

Speaker 9914.44s - 915.08s

They have.

Speaker 12915.2s - 918.2s

Now, I would place emphasis on my answer for right now

Speaker 9918.2s - 985.74s

because I fully expect Mark Pope's PERSON final class at Kentucky when all of a sudden done to be very, very good. I expect John Calapari's class at Arkansas ORG to be very, very good. But as of right now, I think you have to look at the job Pat Kelsey PERSON is down at Louisville as a tremendous job. He has overhauled that roster within a span of a couple of weeks. And I just said it's not nice necessarily overhaul roster. It's not what you want to do. But if you're a program like Louisville ORG and has been as bad as Louisville is, bringing in a whole new group of fresh blood is not exactly a bad thing for Louisville wants to go. He'sgotten in guys who have proven in other spots, a lot of guys who are very successful at mid-majors or non-power conferences that are now taking the step up and look to translate, but also have skill sets thatI think played pretty well in Pat Kelsey's system. So he's marrying the combination of fit with experience. I think that's what all great coaches do. And it's tough to do when you're at a new spot and you don't have a lot of time to really pick and choose. You're just trying to get guys in because you need to build a roster. But Kelsey PERSON has done a really good job of bringing in talented guys and talented guys who fit in large numbers so far.

Speaker 12986.24s - 1036.92s

Yeah, absolutely. I think that pal Kelsey has done an absolutely amazing job over at Louisville ORG. I think that his transfer portal hall has been so good to save the least. And what I think he's done a good job of is just finding a good fit as well. As Brian Rolfi does amazing work over at each ex-Cbb is joining me right here on Costa Coast Hoops ORG. And how big do you think that is right now?Because everyone wants to take a look at, oh, Player X scored 14 points per game at their old school and everything like that. But when I take a look at the transfer portal hall, I obviously want to be taking a look at guys that scored more than like one point per game at like insert mid-major school. Here, that might not be the world's biggest impact. But that said, I do want to try to find guys like Pat Kelsey PERSON plays a bit more of an uptempo style, him bringing in more guys that were playing a little bit more uptempo, not bringing in someone from like in North Texas GPE per se. I think that that's very big to look at as well. It is, right?

Speaker 91036.92s - 1077.98s

Bringing in Terrence Edwards from JMU, he's a really good two-way player. A guy can create for himself. Has the skill set to thrive in that system. Chuckie Hepburn from Wisconsin GPE. I know Wisconsin wasn't exactly playing up and down and playing the same way that Kelsey PERSON likes to. However, I do think that Hepburn PERSON's skill set would play well in that system. I think allow him to put up some better numbers and some more production than he had at Wisconsin GPE. It's about finding those fit and finding guys who have the skills to be able to do what you want to do. It is, I'm sure, nice for Louisville fans after going through two years ofKenny Payne PERSON and having virtually zero guards on the roster. You know, very guard-heavy transfer class and quality guards at that. So Louisville ORG certainly look a lot different, a lot more fun and should

Speaker 121077.98s - 1123.56s

be a lot better on the court, too. Absolutely. I think that they have done an absolutely amazing job here in the transfer portal, and Brian Roth, who does amazing work over at H-Tex CBB ORG, is shown to me on CoastSoupes PRODUCT. And in terms of the coach at his back and is back in full force, what if we take a look at Indiana ORG? Because I look at what they brought in via the transfer portal. And very impressed. Umar Bolo PERSON, I absolutely love his game. They were able to do a nice job being of land Miles Rice PERSON. They're going to be bringing in Luke Goody PERSON, who comes over from Illinois GPE.You go down, Melissa PERSON, and they've done a great job of bringing in talent. But how much do you take a look at a school like Indiana ORG? Do you still have perhaps a few question marks? Because while I think that the talent is no doubt about it there for the Hoosiers NORP, my question marks all revolve around the man that is still there from a season ago, and Mike Woodson PERSON, and he puts that talent together.

Speaker 91123.74s - 1196.22s

I have less questions about Indiana now than it at the start of the day. Luke Goody's commitment there is transfer there from Illinois GPE being the main reason why. The other transfers they got with Ballo and Miles Rice PERSON leading the charge there were really good transfers and certainly talent upgrades from where they had on the roster. But the problems were still the same, right? You have too many big men, not enough shooting, not in the spacing, not enough guards. That's a problem. You can do that better than Indiana did last year and be improved, but also be majorly flawed to the point where you have a legitimate ceiling. Luke Goody PERSON brings the shooting that'll add some spacing, that'll add the knockdown shooter that they've needed, and I think raises that ceiling a little bit. I have questions about Mike Woodson as a coach and his long-term prospects of success at Indiana ORG on the court, but I also haven't expected him to go out and attack the portal the way they did this all season as successfully as theyhave. That's not something that they've done in his tenure to this level. I'm more excited to have more hope for Indiana than I did again earlier and certainly a couple of weeks ago as well. I'm interested to see what Indiana ORG does because I really like the transfer hall. Thinking out another shooter, then I'll be really, really on board. But the pieces are in place for them to certainly be improved at the very least.

Speaker 121196.4s - 1248.66s

Yep, they're going to be improved. There's no doubt about it, and they are very worthy of the buzz that they are currently getting because they have done a nice job bringing in town here in the offseason. But I take a look at this transfer portal hall. And I don't know if I'm going to be willing to call it number one because Kansas ORG we're going to need to get to them in a second. It is impressive what they've done. But I look at what Ole Miss ORG has done it. I just really like it. McKell Brown Jones absolutely lit it up from three. He's a guy that can do a little bit of everything. Gray Davis was a nice player over at Cidnaul ORG.Malik Dia was awesome at Belmont ORG. Sean Padule PERSON is a nice go-to point guard. And I take a look at Ole Miss and what Chris Beard PERSON has done. It feels like every one of these guys fit their system. It feels like every single one of these guys has a good role on this Ole Miss ORG team. And I take a look at what they've done.I feel like they're one of the most improved teams here in the offseason from where they were his season. Because I think everything is just going to mel together so well.

Speaker 91249.16s - 1312.18s

I think so too. And Chris Beard is the prime example right now of a coach in his second year using the NIL ORG at his disposal. And it's a good bit of NIL at his disposal in the right way. It feels like he's had a year in Oxford under his belt. He understands the landscape. He understands the roster and what they need or they need to upgrade. And it feels very directed where they spend their efforts and are spending their NAL money and also their recruiting efforts. Bringing in guys who like you mentioned fit the system, play well together as well. But duel in particular adding the shooting, I think, is certainly necessary and a big boost for them. Drey Davis PERSON loved what he did down the stretch for his seat and hall. I think he could be a really big player for them as well. But again, they all fit the system. You got a lot of defensive-minded guys, a lot of long athletic players that can play the way you think of Chris Beard PERSON guys, or teams playing.Padula PERSON out in the shooting, again, raises the feeling a little bit because you need more of that shooting when you have a non-shooting team like Ole Miss ORG was. It was a really good effort by Chris Beard PERSON and that coaching staff of identifying what the weaknesses are and having a plan on how to attack it.

Speaker 121312.44s - 1356.34s

Yep, absolutely. I think that Ole Miss ORG has done a master's job here in the offseason. I think that moving forward there, set up for a whole lot of success. And so is Kansas, they get on Friday 100 Dickinson PERSON to come back in the fold. They get Ryland Jones in the fold as well as he's going to be coming over from Alabama GPE. I just take a look at what Kansas has been able to do here in the offseason. And they're getting Ryan Griffin in the fold from Alabama GPE. I like what they've been able to do here in this off season. And I'm not sure how you're gauging Kansas ORG as of right now, but I look at this team and they need to be towards the top of college basketball, entering into the next year if they do absolutely nothing else. Because bringing back Dickinson, bringing in the guards that they do, this feels like a very complete team at one with much more depth than a season ago.

Speaker 91356.84s - 1428.22s

1,000 percent. I think they have to be, at least right now, we'll see what other teams do, and particularly Yukon ORG, what they do. But right now, I think Kansas has to be the number one team in the country right now, and all your way too early polls, if it holds its way in the preseason polls. Last year, they did not have depth, did not have a depth of scoring options in particular, did not have shooting. They now go nine deep with very legitimate players. They have a number of guys who can knock down threes, and a number of guys who can create shots for themselves. All on top of bringing back Twan Harris PERSON in his experience, KJ Adams, who's one of the more underratedformer in the country, obviously Hunter Dickinson, who's been an All-American multiple times in his career. This Kansas ORG team has everything, it looks like. Bill Self understood last year's weaknesses, and we talk about attacking the portal with purpose. He went in and said, what happened this past year is on happening again. We are going to get back to the Kansas ORG level that they have known under him. They're going to be really, really good. Again, like the way all these guys fit, like the way the versatility I think they give Kansas and Bill self should go about nine deep with power conference starter caliber players, maybe not Kansas ORG caliber starter players, but power conference level starting players. It's been a phenomenal offseason so far for the Jayhawks ORG.

Speaker 121428.52s - 1465.34s

Yeah, it certainly has been. I'm so impressed by what they've been able to do, and they're going back to what they did last. They're looking back at what happened last year. They're learning from their mistakes, and they're improving. And that's what you'd like to see as Brian Roth PERSON, who does such great work over at each XGBB ORG is joining me right here onCostco ORG soups and want to leave this one a little bit more open-ended for you. What's a program that you take a look at and they might be flying a little bit under the radar right now, but you love what they've done, whether that be via the transfer portal, whether that be via the head coaching decision that they made, just what's a program or two that you take a look at and you say, they're having a really nice offseason. We're not talking about them enough.

Speaker 91465.52s - 1536.64s

I kind of think Tennessee ORG is in that mold. Louisville ORG, I think, as I was in that mold, we talked with them already. Tennessee ORG is another team to me, though, that I don't think people are talking much about because Don't Connect ORG is gone. You're lost Jonas Adu PERSON in the portal. You have some questions there. But the guys they've been able to bring in, I think, are good replacements for what they've been able to do. And the biggest one for me is Darlingstone Dubar from Hofstra ORG and what he can bring offensively. You're not going to replace Dalton Connect's ORG offense. Like, you're not going to replace the second best player in the country, the best guy behind Zach Eadie. But Dubar PERSON is a guy built in a similar way, 6'6, guy who can shoot, guy can create his own shot. Again, I don't expect him to be don't connect. But he is somebody to me who can fill that role, right, who can be your go-to offensive guy and provide more of that dynamic perimeter scoring punch that Tennessee ORG had lacked in the past in the Rick Barnes era, and then we still make a big difference with Connect PERSON. And so to me, for Tennessee ORG, they've filled the holes that they've lost in the portal. You kind of made some trades there, and then you add him in for Connect PERSON.I don't expect Tennessee ORG to take a big step back. It's a step back at all. I think they should be the favorite in the SEC ORG again.

Speaker 121537.06s - 1572.72s

Absolutely. I don't know if they're going to have one dominant score quite like Dalton Connect PERSON had. That's a big giant ask, but at the same time, I'm right there with you. I love what they've done in the transfer portal. And you want to talk about a team that was very complete last year. Tennessee ORG was at.And Tennessee, once again, one of those teams that has done a nice job here in the transfer portal. They haven't brought in a whole bunch of guys. But Felix Oparra PERSON, it's going to be great down low. You were talking about Dubar over at Hofster. He did a little bit of everything. And hey, he saw a guy from Officer a few years ago, and Aaron Action Estrada, go to Alabama GPE, and he had a little bit of success out there in the SEC ORG as well. And a man that has success just all across the country,

Speaker 121993.4s - 3297.1s

Las Vegas for Cuss with myself, Greg Eames Peterson PERSON, now part of the Visan PERSON family of podcast. It is always a pleasure to get aboard our good friend Brian Roth PERSON. He does absolutely amazing work over at each ex-Cbb every single time he joins me on this podcast. He lends such good insights. Did so once again today. Hard at work out there in the northeast part of the country and really just the eastern part of the country. I believe he's in South Carolina GPE taking a look at this great game that we all know and love. So big thanks to him forjoining me in the last segment. Now it is at time of the podcast. I give you a recap of all the news that notes we saw in college basketball over the last 24 hours, and this one in my opinion was really the biggest thing that we saw on Saturday. Pops Isaacs PERSON, he decides that he is going to be going on over to Creighton, and this comes about 24 to 48 hours after Trey Alexander was averaging about 15 and a half points per contest, decide that he was going to be entering in the NBA draft, and Popes Isaacs, guess what? He averages about 15 and a half pointsfor contest. He's really going to be able to do a good job of helping out this defense as well. We were talking about that with our good friend in Mike, and you take a look at what he was able to do with giving the team about three and a half assists for contest. Not the world's biggest guy, only about six foot two, so a little bit more undersized than what you're used to see for Creighton ORG. We'd like to see him get back to his freshman form in terms of the3.0.10% just last year shot about 29 and a half percent from the outside. This year was just a little bit down from Tuesday years ago. Shot more around 38% from 3-par-inch, but a big-time impact guy, and that is going to be absolutely tremendous for Creighton ORG. Once again, would like to see a little bit more depth for them, but all-and-all, that's a tremendous pickup and a big impact guy. And then you saw Bayfall PERSON. He's a former McDonald's ORG All-American, and he's going to be heading on over to the Kansas State Wildcats who have been very active here over the last, I will call it, about 72 or so hours. And Kansas State, they, I think, learned from last year to not sit on their hands early on and try to be able to get all these guys late as they've got him coming in. The back court is revamped, Brandon Housin, a nice three points year from Villanova ORG's coming in. Doug McDaniel, that point guard from Michigan GPE comes in, and a little bit of a 6-5 wing player, C.J. Jones from UIC ORG is going to be in the fold as well. So not a lot of guys that are coming in, and that is going to be absolutely massive for them. Not often that you see a former top- top winner guy go down to the Big West LOC, but we do see about one or two every single year. And how about Long Beach State ORG? And Long Beach State program that made a lot of headlines for the handling of Dan Monson. But that said, Devin Eskew, he has decided that he is going to be going down to Long Beach State ORG. And this is going to be absolutely massive for him.Eskew just really could not find his footing when he was over at Kentucky ORG, when he was over at, I believe it was Texas for a year, and then over at Cal ORG just wasn't great. It's been a rough go of it for him, but the talent has been undeniable. Was someone that had a lot of billing coming into the season just has dealt with injuries in general. He's played a combined 19 games over the last two seasons and in his, shall we say, 19 games over at Cal ORG, he was averaging about 12 and a half points right around three assists for contest. Never has been a great three pointshooter, but getting him out there at the Big West ORG level, for one, you want him to be healthy, and that's a big part of this, but if he's able to be healthy, he's able to be a nice impact guy for a Long Beach State ORG team that last season, they were very much built on Treyore Square with Lusina PERSON and Obacar Treyore PERSON. By the way, we've seensome movement on Treyore S FAC squared. So there's that aspect of things as well, and we also saw impact with regards to Cal ORG as well. We'll get into that in a second, but that's an absolutely massive pickup for Long Beach Aid, and this is a nice pickup for Cal. Andres Stoyakovich PERSON, yes, that is the sonof Pesia Stoyakovich. He averaged over at Stanford this last year, about eight points for contest. Consensus, top 50 recruit, he has decided that he is going to be heading on over to Cal ORG and he's going to be a part of that rivalry. He shot only about 33% from three part inches past year. Didn't necessarily have the world's greatest year in general. But that said, you take a look at his overall skill set and his game. I think that he's going to be able to ascend.I think that now that he's, let's call what it is, has better coaching and he's got a little bit more around him, that he's really going to be able to ascend. And I think that this is going to be a big time get for Cal ORG, a Cal team that I really love the fact that they hired on Mark Madsen this last off season. I felt like Sanford ORG should have now.Sanford ORG got a very, very good coach in their own right. They're now going to be able to run a little bit of nerd ball this season with being able to bring over Kyle Smith PERSON. I absolutely love what they were able to do there. They felt rerun backwards into that to call what it is. But that said, I absolutely do love the game of Mr. Sorokovic PERSON, and I think that he's going to be able to ascend under his Mark Madsen PERSON's style, that if you look at what Cal has been able to do here in the offseason, they add DJ Campbell PERSON is a little bit more of a developmental guy coming over from Western Carolina, is able to pop the three. Lead order is a former top 150 recruit that just couldn't get out there on the floor for Vanderbilt ORG due to injury. Joseph PERSON is able to stretch a floor.BJ O'Matt was a dominant score over at North Dakota ORG. I really like these pieces that are coming in for Madsen PERSON. I think that he's going to be able to build himself a nice program, one that's going to be rock solid on defense. And how about Xavier ORG? I was talking about Traori squared over at Long Beach State ORG. Well, they pick up Lasena Treori, who is a double-double machine. Last two seasons over at Long Beach State. Not a guy that's Lascena Treyore PERSON, who is a double-double machinelast two seasons over at Long Beach State ORG. Not a guy that's going to go out there and pop threes or anything like that, but was able log about 12 points, 10 and a half rebounds per contest, and he really completes what I think is a great offseason for Xavier ORG. Bigger than all this is the fact that Zach Fremantle PERSON is going to be back in the full, because when Zach Fremantle was so good two seasons ago, he was playing alongside Jack Nunge. Nunge was able to pop the three unlike Trierere PERSON,but that said, you still have John Hugley, someone who's six foot nine, he's able to space out the floor, you're able to give teams so many different looks now for your Xavier ORG. You've got that traditional low post player in Treyore PERSON. You've got guys are able to stretch a floor in Fremant along John Hugley PERSON. Marcus Fosser was a dominant score over at Furman ORG. Defense is probably going to be a little bit optional for the scene, but you bring in Dante Maddox PERSON as well, a nice go-to score over at Toledo ORG, and man, you are really staring at a team that's going to be hard to be able to guard out there in the Big East now. Question is, are they going to be playing a bunch of games that are like 90 to 88 or something like that, probably, especially with Ryan Conball PERSON. Now in the full, but do like with Xavier ORG, as they able to do. And for Kentucky, they're starting to bring in a few guys, Otega PERSON away. He last season was over at Oklahoma ORG. He has decided that he is going to be coming on over, and he's going to be a play for Kentucky ORG.And for Kentucky ORG, they don't necessarily have a lot of sizzle as of right now, but I do like this ad. They're going to need to pick up more. There's no question about it. But for Otego away last season, 11 a half points per contest shot about 37% from 3.Now, the one thing I will say about this is that he was very solid away was at the beginning part of the season. He seemed to just fade away towards back half of the campaign, but really that was the entire Oklahoma team as well. I don't want to pin thatall on him. I think a lot of it was just what he had around him as well. But right now, the main two transfers for Kentucky are away Alathamari Williams PERSON. You have to figure that you're going to see Mark Pope try to bring in one or two guys from BYU ORG. I know that he's already brought in an associate coach to be able help him out. So we shall see what is going to be happening on that front. And it looks like Jackson Robinson PERSON is one of those guys that might be on the radar. Jackson Robinsontop score over at BYU last season was a solid three-point sure. He entered in the transfer pole. You have to figure that Mr. Pope PERSON is going to be heavily recruiting him. That said, I do think that for Kentucky ORG, work not done yet. We shall see what happens in the next week or so. It is going to be oh so critical for them.BJ Freeman, Mr. Do It All Over at UW Milwaukee ORG. He's going to be adding on over to Arizona State ORG. I think that this is very fascinating for Arizona State because they've had success at the very least. You've seen Mr. Bobby Hurley PERSON have success with these guards that they just do a little bit of everything. And he hasn't necessarily had that last few seasons. He's coming over along with Bashir Jahad PERSON, who was a nice three-point shooter with 6'9 size over at Ball State ORG. Also Mason, who was a nice score over at Arizona State ORG. And I do think that for the Sun Devils ORG, they realize, hey, we're going to need to bring in some guys that are able to put the ball in the bucket. As I feel like Bobby Hurley just really punted on what made him so successful when he was over at Buffalo and even early on in his tenure at Arizona State ORG.As Freeman, this last season shot about 35% from 3, 21.6.5 boards, four assists and a CO per contest. Now, you're going to have an Arizona State ORG team. I think he's going to take a big step down with regards to her defense and BJ Freeman PERSON. He was far from a defensive dominator over at UW Milwaukee ORG, to say the least. But for Bobby Hurley, you just take a look at his track record when he's been over at Arizona State ORG.And when he was really able to have a lot of success. You go back to like that 2017, 2018 campaign when he was a little bit more fresh on campus. I think that he started like the 2016-17 season, I'd like to say maybe a year prior. But that year he had like Trey Holder, Shannon Evans PERSON, guys like that in the back court. And I think that he's starting to get back to that. Remy Martin was just a freshman over there and being able to get back to Happy,I think that that is going to be very big. And this is a nice pickup for Georgia. I don't know why, but it feels like Georgia just absolutely loves being able to pick off these Metro Atlantic and NEC ORG guys as they bring in Dakota Lafew. You saw last season, they brought in Noah Thomas in from Niagara ORG. Now you bring in Lafew PERSON who was a very rock saw this last season over at Mount St. Mary's ORG. Took him a little bit of time to get his bearings about him because he had to take over the point card spotafter Jalen Benjamin PERSON was holding down the fourth last few seasons. Had a few more turnovers than you'd like towards beginning part of the season, but 15 and a half points, four and a half boards, four assists. Shot about 36, 9% from 3% should be able to go to Georgia and should be ableto impact a back court that they did lose quite a few of the guys that were just oh so successful for them this past season, but being able to pick up some like a little of a few that has been through it quite a bit, someone that has a lot of experience with having the ball in his hands and just slide out knows how to score. I think that that is going to be very critical in an SEC ORG where scoring has really become soparamount for this just conference in general. We saw Braden Housley PERSON. He was playing over at Southern Utah this last season and was a whack-all freshman. Really nice season. 11 points, 3-and-a-4s, 3-5 assists per contest. Didn't necessarily pop it well from 3-part range, but was able to generate about a C-on-Apper contest as a 6'4-2-2-all-Sort-a-old player. He has decided that he is going to be entering into the transfer portal line. It's going to be very interesting to see where he goes because one of his teammates, hopefully I say this correctly, and Esther Dyshock PERSON, he has decided that he is going to be entering into the transfer portal line. It's going to be very interesting to see where he goes because one of his teammates, hopefully I say this correctly, and Esther Dajak PERSON, he has decided that he is going to be going on over to North Florida GPE. He is going to be becoming one the main men over with the Mighty Mighty Osprey.Just didn't necessarily see a bunch of playing time this last season. He was as a 6-09 little bit of combo player from Russia GPE, only able to give you about two points per contest, capable of being a pop three. So we shall see what his outlook is going to be in. The outlook for McNeese PERSON is being the Death Star, a former top runner recruit, a guy that was very successful with Ole Miss.Brandon Murray began his career over at LSU ORG. That's where the pipeline comes in. He's heading on over to McNeice, and he's going to be playing for Will Wade PERSON. I mean, my goodness, the rich just keep getting richer. And it had to be a strong, strong offer that our good friend Will Wade PERSON threw out there for Will Wade. I mean, my goodness, the rich just keep getting richer and it had to be a strong, strong offer that our good friend Will Wade threw out there for Murray last season just really didn't find a fit. He's looking for over at Ole Miss, but as a freshman, when he was over at LSU, shot about 34% for three, about 10 points per contest, and then when he was playing for Georgetown ORG,four boards, three assists, stealing a half, 13 a half points per game. Now, granted, there was just absolutely nothing around him whatsoever, but that said, for McNeese PERSON, he should be able to be a very dominant player out there in the Southland LOC. And this is going to be like when you've got that really, really dominant AAU team, and then you've got that one AAU team that's like, oh, let's have some fun, guys. That's going to be the Southland LOC this season for McNeese PERSON, in my opinion. I could be proven wrong, but it just looks like they should be able to absolutely dominatethis conference. They bring in Joe Charles, the top rebounder over at Louisiana ORG. Cizier Parker, I do it all player over at St. Louis ORG at when he was healthy, it was one of the better than major players in college basketball. Bryant settled on you, who two seasons ago, logged eight plus rebounds per game over at Tulsa ORG.Like this is going to be a very, very dominant team. So I absolutely love that transfer. Kobe King PERSON, he's going to be looking to be King as he's going to be heading on over to Tulane and he's going to be heading to Butler ORG. As for King, I just expected a little bit more from him this last year, but it's very interesting with Tulsa ORG. They played out one of the more up-tempo styles than all of college basketball, and yet they didn't go too far into their bench for King PERSON. Very much a three-point shooting specialist, 10 and a half points, steal and a half, shot 38% from 3-4-inch.Part of a Tulane team that was able to play super-duper-up tempo really didn't do anything other than gamble for turnovers on defense. So it's going to be very interesting to see how he fits in with this Butler ORG style, a team in Butler ORG that was very much improved on offense. A bunch, though, that they really slowed down towards back half of the season as well. You've got a lot of moving parts there, so we'll see how they all fit together. But I do think that this is going to be a solid ad for them, though. I don't know if he's going to be able to duplicate the same numbers that he had over at Tulane. Dominic Harris, he was a dominator for Loyal or Merrimount ORG, actually began his career over at Gonzaga ORG. He goes down to the lower level. He's able put up double figures, and now he's going to UCLA ORG and good pick up by UCLA because I think that theyrealized from last off season that you know what? We needed the transfer portal. They tried to bring in these international guys. It just worked out horribly. And for Harris PERSON, he's a former top runner recruit that a season ago over at Loy O Merrimon. 14.9 points per contest. Shot in the neighbor about 45% for three-part inch. That's much of what UCLA was missing last year. They had nothree-point shooting whatsoever. This is immediately going to be able to fill that gap for UCLA ORG. Someone that can handle the ball a little bit, you're not going to be expecting them to be like some sort of a main facilitator or anything like that, but forUCLA ORG, really nice haul here in the transfer portal. They bring in Tyler Bledew PERSON, who is underrated at Oregon State because, well, everyone else at Oregon State ORG kind of sunk. I don't know if Sky Clark is going to be working out over at Louisville ORG. He was a little bit of a black hole over at Louisville ORG,and he didn't necessarily play the world's greatest amount of defense, but I love the Daily show, Eric Daly coming over from Oklahoma State ORG, six-foot-six guy that's able to do a little bit of everything. Kobe Johnson was over at USC ORG, one of the few guys that could grab a rebound for you. William Kyle PERSON is able to do a nice job down low. UCLA ORG looks all new, all-improved.Now, you do want to make sure that some of these recruits are going to be a blossom for his program as well, but McConan PERSON, I feel like, has been able to do a very solid job here in the off-season, and nice to see them getting involved in the portal. And it is nice to see UIC getting involved in the portal as well as Javan Jackson PERSON. Eli's season was playing over at Utah State ORG. He has decided that he is going to be making the trek back out to the Midwest ashis side that he is going to be heading on over to the UIC ORG flames. And he had a solid year this last year. Came in off the bench, shot about 38% from 3 power range, 4 and a half points per contest. Going to be very interesting to see what UIC ORG is going to be doing after they decided to part ways withLuke Yachlitch this last offseason. Rob Isan PERSON, he was over at UAB for many, many years. He is taking over, and I do think that for this UIC ORG team, they're going to be running much more explosive offense. They were actually halfwaydecent defense last season, but you can tell that Asan PERSON is going to be wanting to stroke it a little bit more from three points, have a little bit more in the back court. They should certainly be able to help out with that. Bowen Hardman PERSON, he just could not see any minuteswhen he was over at Ohio State last season. He's going to be staying in the state of Ohio though. He is going to be going to Akron and he's going to be looking to be on the Akron Hammers for this bunch as he comes in as a relatively solidthree-point shooter. He only saw action in 25 games and two seasons, but has been a career about 44 and a half percent three-point shooter again. Do you want to temper expectations with him having taken just onlya few threes throughout his college basketball career, but someone that over at 247 ORG sports and a relatively decent grade on when he was coming out of high school, he was like that number 18 prospect over there in the state of Ohio GPE. This is a relatively solidlyfor an accurate team. It's going to be looking a little bit different from their NCAA tournament EVENT team of his season ago, so I think that's going to be big for them. Jacob 3D also, hopefully I said that correctly. He was playing over at Wyoming ORG this lastseason. He has decided that he's going to be going to Loyal Maryland GPE. A Loyal Maryland GPE team that they just looked a little bit strange last season because the back court wasn't too bad, but at the same time, you can tell that there just weren't a lot of guys on the same page. So I'm very curious to see how this is going to be working out. But with Thudioso PERSON, he was a guy that was just glued to the bench in general,six-foot-four gentleman that comes in from the great state of Ohio GPE. He's able to pop it from three-par range. I do think that this is a little bit of an upside get for the Loyola of Maryland GPE, so good on them for being able to bring him in. And then Jacob Connor, he was playing over at Marshall this last season. He has decided that he is going to be going to Dayton ORG. Dayton won the best three-point shooting teams at all of college basketball last season. And they've already done a nice job picking up Zed Key because they're going to be losing a lot from this past season after they had all the domination that they had down low. But Jacob Connor, he's a 6'8, a little bit more of a stretch guy. He's able to shoot about 33% from 3-part range, 6 points, 5 boards per contests. I don't expect Dayton to be shooting north of 40% from 3-part range, like they did a season ago, especially with Kobe Brea PERSON out there in the transfer portal. You've already seen Kobe Elvis PERSON leave the program as well, but this is going to be someonethat I think he's going to be able to come in. You'll probably want him as a little bit more of a role guy, but even with his size, right around about 6'8, he was still able help facilitate offense, was able to grab a steal, was able to give the team about three assists per contest, didn't necessarily have a ton around him, but I do like what he's able to bring to the table, and he should be able to fit the Satan PERSON program quite well. And the Wisconsin Badgers ORG just continue to do absolutely nothing. And the transfer portal, as they now lose Gus Yaldon, who he did close to nothing last year. I'm not going to lie to you. But that said, he's going on over to Seton Hall with Yeldon PERSON. He was ranked by 247 sports as a top 125 recruit. Again, he was just sort of stuck in the shadow of Stephen Crawl PERSON,along with Tyler Wall PERSON, and was unable to get out there on the floor. A kid from Appleton, Wisconsin GPE, so does me a little bit to see this, as I literally grew up a few miles from where he was playing his high school basketball over at. But that said, this is going to be a solid pickup for Setonall ORG.If they're able to get him some minutes, it's going to be big because Setonall ORG was one of the better rebounding teams in all of college basketball. Once again, you've got a Setonall ORG program that knows what heck they are doing in the transfer portal. It's going to be a little bit of a changeover for them this upcoming season. But when you've got a guy like Chewim Hall PERSON away that is able to maneuver in the transferportal, know exactly what he needs. You know, but feel very secure about that. And see, no, that's far. Relatively solid transfer portal haul for them this offseason. Patrick Sumnick, he was playing over at West Virginia this last season. He decided that he's going to be going to DePaul ORG.And for DePaul ORG, I think the best thing I can say for him is that they're picking up bodies and I don't think that they're going to be as bad as they were last season. After they literally won as many games in the Big East as myself. Sumnik over at West Virginia, he was able to log for the team above four points two and a boards per contest and a kid that played his high school basketball at Denmark, Wisconsin GPE. They used to be in the same conference as the Hortonville High School Polar Bears ORG and right now onthe mic is a guy from the Hortonville High School Polar Bears ORG. So we always love to see that, a career 50% three-point shooter. Granted, I think he's taking like six threes in his career, but a 50% three-point shooter. And you know what, he was able to log for the team a few points. He was able to see a few stars. I think that he's going to be able to give DePaul ORG a little bit of something. And again, DePaul ORG is literally starting from the absolute ground floor. Heck, they might be buried beneath the ground floor. Like, it was that bad for them. But you take a look at what DePaul ORG has been able to bring in. I do think that you're going to be able to see a little bit of upside. I personally have never been necessarily the world's biggest Chris Holman PERSON guy.But Chris Holpman is a whole lot better than what they had the past few seasons. And you're bringing in something like David Skogman PERSON, another guy from the great state of Wisconsin GPE, who he's 6'10, he's able to pop threes, Jacob Myers PERSON should be able to give you a little bit of facilitation. This is looking like a theme that's probablygoing to be finishing dead last in the big east LOC. I'm going to call it what it is, but they're improved while they finish dead last in the Big East, and that improvement, that's what you like to see. Sam Al-Illigie PERSON. He was playing over at Rice this last season. We give our own to Lane Kiff and Go-Ells and two seasons Sam Alijiki, he was playing over at Rice this last season. We gave our O'Dellane Kiff and Goals and two seasons ago. More importantly, he was playing over at Cal ORG. He decided that he's going to be adding on over to Oro Roberts PERSON. Year number one for Oro Roberts without having Paul Mills PERSON. It wasn't necessarily the world's greatest. So we shall see if year number two is going to be going a little bit better for this unit, that they really just slowed down a little bit more than I would have thought. And Alijiki was a part of a Rice team this past season that they played a little bit slower than expected. It just felt like there were a lot of misfit parts and there was just a lot of jankiness for a little bit of a lack of a better term. He last season over at Rice ORG average about four and a half points, three boards only played in 20 games. He's able to pop threes at a career about 38 and a half percent clip at about six foot seven, but been a part of a bunch of teams.I haven't necessarily played a lot of defense. Do I think that you can be able to provide some upside in the summit league? Sure, but at the same time, do have my question marks as to where Oral Roberts ORG is heading moving forward. Is this been a little bit rough for them? And what is not very rough is the fact that we are with you guys every single day on this podcast.
