It seems like I've been catching a lot of strays lately. First off, Steve Erick PERSON said he would take me on a run because he would outrun me if there was a zombie apocalypse, which is not true. I would outrun Steve Ersig PERSON. Derek Lewis the other day, which I will get into, was in St. Louis GPE for his fight, and Ninawas asking him about who he would like to power slap. Of course, it was me. But the one that, obviously, is the one that resonates the most of me was the other day, right? Because we're all talking about John Jones PERSON. We're all talking about John Jones PERSON.What he's doing? Because people seem to want to make it seem like he's afraid of Tom Aspinall PERSON. And that's why he's not fighting him. I would not go so far as to say he's afraid of that dude. I think what's happening is he's kind of made his mind up on something. And he's just standing with it.He's like, I'm not changing it. I'm going to keep it as it is. I know what I want to do. And part of the reason it was so hard to understand was because Steve PERSON they wasn't saying anything, right? It had been so long since you had seen them do or say anything in regards to the fight that that it seemed like it's John PERSON talking about the fight, but no one else. Well, Steve went on a podcast the other day,he said that for him, it's more about the Jones PERSON fight than even the championship belt. And I guess when you're a guy that's had as many belts as steepe has, it doesn't matter. But when talking about Tom Aspinall PERSON, Jones PERSON made this statement, he said, it was like in my absence when Daniel Cormier PERSON was the champion, it confuses people.That's not a real indication of what was going on. Look, guys, right now, John PERSON is out due to injury, right? He's out due to injury, so Tom Aspinall PERSON is not the champion. I get that. But that's not what was going on with him and I were fighting. So he misrepresented what the situation was.When you are, and plus, like like tom aspinall is not the champion because of his absence so much time as well as a champion because he was available won the belt when john got hurt well actually you know what john was right tom is only a champion because of his absence. And honestly he beat me so maybe I wouldn't have been the champ, but he was disqualified himself. So it'sbut it's two different situations because right now he injured himself. With me, it was him getting caught doing things he's not supposed to and then getting stripped and taken out of the competition.So it's not the same. While it may seem the same, it's not the same, right? You were, he was incapable of competing when I was the champion. He was not allowed to compete when I was the champion, not due to injury due to illegal substances found inside of his body. That's just the truth. That's just the truth.Because right now, right, Jones PERSON has said he is ahead of the schedule. They said it would be a year and a half before he'd be able to compete. He's so far ahead that he's looking forward. He's back in the gym traded. So if he decided today, I'm going to go and I'm going to fight.There'd be nothing to stop him. That would be his decision. That would be his decision. Him and his doctors. Whenever him and I were fighting and he kept getting in trouble, he could notgo, I'm back in the gym and I'm ready to fight. He couldn't. It was illegal. It wasn't. That's where the situation varies. That's what a situation is different.And that's such a key component to the situations being different. You could now. So it's time to stop lumping everything together, but his slight of hand is what John PERSON is very good at. On one hand, people will say he did X, Y, and Z.On the other hand, he'll go, look at this guys. This is what I have. And this is what I say. So this needs to be the truth. And I'm saying this because now it's time for me to say it's not the same thing.But the reality is in this situation, I've been more on his side than I am in more situation or in most situations. Because I think he should fight Neil Tchich PERSON. What I like to see him fight, I'm sure. But he's fought generation after generation of great what is there really to prove me eichich would be the last great from the generation that he lived in to essentially foil right and up a weight class because for a long time,people talked about Jones PERSON being a heavyweight. Well, now he is. He's the heavyweight champion. And he's going to fight the guy that was the heavyweight champion. My biggest concern is that steeper hasn't competed. But when listening to me,he sounds like he's still been working. He sounds like he's still intent on getting the job done. I just wonder physically, is he still able to fight at the level that he was before? My son is a little crazy. And I don't know.I don't know. I don't know if he can compete at that level anymore. But what I do, though, is if they could put this fight together in Madison Square Garden FAC, amazing. It would be amazing. Guys, if you think about some of these fights that potentially can land on some of these cards, it would be crazy.I talked about yesterday, will UFC 300 still be the event of the year by the end of the year? And you know what? I don't know. I don't know. I thought I originally thought for sure because it was so great. But now I don't know because when you think about the events that they're got we have coming up. Markachev will fight Porier PERSON. Strickland will fight against Paul Locaster PERSON. That's a good fight.Then you got Connemagre fighting against Michael Chandler. You still got Israel Adesania versus Drake is Duplice PERSON out there. You still got Jones PERSON versus Miotchi still out there. Guys, there are only 12 months in the year and we're almost halfway through the year. We're almosthalfway through the year in a year where there's only 12 months. So if all these fights come off, you and I as fans aren't for a great end of 2024 or middleand in the 2024. But that's my response. Jones PERSON, it wasn't the same thing, bud. So no matter how quickly you are and a magician you are at manipulating and saying this, this and the other, that's not the case. It was different.You couldn't compete whenever I was fighting. You couldn't. You couldn't make a decision that you were going to go and fight. So, yeah, I was a champion for a really long time, too, which is kind of crazy. There are some things that are too good to keep a secret.
