Speaker 8159.72s - 161.26s

for making me this tired.

Speaker 9161.86s - 162.88s

At least it was worth it.

Speaker 8163.04s - 167.44s

You watched the whole game? I stayed up until I felt like it was kind of, yeah.

Speaker 0168.88s - 179.52s

You know, and even then, your adrenaline still going. It's kind of hard to fall asleep when you're in a game. You know, like if you were up late watching an Orioles ORG game or, you know, you kind of get locked into it.

Speaker 8180.06s - 181.92s

Your adrenaline flows when you watch some basketball?

Speaker 9182.22s - 182.42s

Yeah.

Speaker 8183.3s - 217.36s

Really? Absolutely. Like, even when I don't have a rooting interest, like, when I watch the people, like, when you watch in basketball? Yeah. Really? Absolutely. Like even when I don't have a rooting interest, like when I watched the Pacers this year, I just thought it was a beautiful brand of basketball. And that would get me excited, just seeing how they were moving the ball, getting the easy look. Yeah, I love that stuff. I get that. I mean, I just think sometimes when people draw things up in a sports atmosphere, you know, you're talking about a play or something you see it,and you're like, damn, that's beautiful, man. The design of it, it's the same way when I tell people like, I'm not a soccer fan.

Speaker 9217.74s - 219.08s

Oh, I love watching soccer, though.

Speaker 8219.16s - 220.32s

But I can appreciate it.

Speaker 9220.32s - 243.96s

Yes, I can appreciate it because, like, the passing and the angles that you set up to try to create something. And the fact that they're in better shape than me. Yeah. I could, like I watch basketball. I've been in that shape before.I watched football. I've been in that. I don't know if I've ever been in the shape of a soccer player, man. That conditioning, to run all, I mean, it's a lot of running. I think some of those guys take breaks when they're off camera.

Speaker 8244.1s - 249.16s

That's what you don't see. How do they know they're off camera? I mean, it's widely known. It's widely lot of running. I think some of those guys take breaks when they're off camera. That's what you don't see. I didn't know they're off camera. It's widely known. It's widely known.

Speaker 9252.26s - 253.34s

Red like Ray PERSON, huh?

Speaker 8253.52s - 260.42s

How about? Hey, I don't want to be the best at exercising. Hit the ball, man. Kick it somewhere.

Speaker 9260.58s - 262.3s

Do something. Pick it up and throw it.

Speaker 8262.78s - 268.36s

What do you mean you can't? Come on. Yeah, you can't. You can't use your can't come on yeah you can't use your hands a sport where you can't use your hands

Speaker 9268.36s - 270.26s

dang that ain't a sport

Speaker 8270.26s - 272.14s

for me because I got these two beautiful hands

Speaker 9272.14s - 274.1s

right here you shouldn't want to use them then

Speaker 8274.1s - 275.78s

yeah you shouldn't want to use them

Speaker 9275.78s - 278.24s

they're beautiful so soft so smooth

Speaker 8278.24s - 280.28s

whenever you got

Speaker 9280.28s - 282.3s

a whole bunch of superstars

Speaker 8282.3s - 286.18s

on one team and things don't go the way you thought they would go.

Speaker 9286.58s - 288.94s

Fire the coach. That's what the Phoenix Suns ORG did.

Speaker 8289.64s - 290.8s

Frank Vogel PERSON.

Speaker 9291.04s - 311.68s

Yeah, that Bootintholder PERSON is going to be coming in. And whenever either Shams or Woj PERSON, especially Woj, when he's like, has become the frontrunner, that guy's, he's signing. So I think that it's definitely going to be bootingholtz. It's going to be the new coach. But why do they think Frank Vogel was going to work in the first place?

Speaker 8312.46s - 314.68s

I mean, it just, it had, there's so many retreads.

Speaker 9315.22s - 320.68s

Why do you think that guy, if you fire him after one year, you didn't really think it would work?

Speaker 8320.94s - 333.22s

Well, James Jones PERSON is the GM there. And I don't know how he's still the GM, because they've boggled this thing. I mean, when you owe $160 million and he's got a no trade clause to Bradley Beal PERSON, the only

Speaker 9333.22s - 386.66s

way to fix this team is to move Devin Booker or Kevin Durant PERSON. Why would I want to move Kevin PERSON, you know, either one of those guys? So you basically have to keep Bradley Beal PERSON because everybody else is saying, I'm not paying him that money. He's stupid. And again, I ask this question. When you watch Bradley Bill at D.C. ORG, why did you ever think he was that guy? I don't know. I don't know, I mean, with a basketball eye, what made you think, Bradley PERSON, we've seen this movie before. He's the guy that's on a horrible team, but it's the best player on that team.So he gets a lot of shots. He gets whatever shot he wants. And normally he typically shoots from three or four different spots. The spots that he knows are here, it's probably three. And he puts up a lot of points. But if you're really watching, you know, he's not that guy.Yeah. He's a guy's not that guy. Yeah. He's a guy, not that guy.

Speaker 8386.84s - 409.36s

Well, see, like, the weird thing was, like, I wanted Beal PERSON. This is years ago, though. I wanted him to go to Dallas. I wanted another guard paired up that could shoot in the outside. And they had Jalen Brunson PERSON, but they move on from him. But the thing with Beal PERSON, too, is, like, it's exactly what you're talking about. It's opportunity costs because you're getting the chance to to play 36 40 minutes TIME and be the man yeah and

Speaker 9409.36s - 433s

and like if i'll say this if malik monk or jordan clarkson or i mean pick one of these guys were getting 35 38 minutes a game they score they they would score 25 30 points you know it's just a matter of how many shots you put up and that's that's where get into the whole thing. Like, is Kevin Love PERSON a great player? No. He's a really good player. But when you put him on Minnesota ORG with no other stars around him, I mean, he was almost

Speaker 8433s - 434.7s

a 2020 guy. That's what he was.

Speaker 9434.8s - 435s

Yeah.

Speaker 8435.2s - 444.22s

But he's not that guy. No. But it was all said done and you put players around him, you realize, yeah, dude, that

Speaker 9444.22s - 454.84s

dog don't hunt. Yeah. That dog don't hunt. Yeah. That dog don't hunt. And I just, I don't feel sorry for them for Bradley Bill PERSON not being the guy they thought they would be because they didn't check well enough.

Speaker 8454.94s - 458.4s

Well, the thing that irritates me is that, and you know it's the pecking order,

Speaker 9458.88s - 463.32s

you know, in baseball, the hitting coach, the pitching coach, then it might be a bench coach

Speaker 8463.32s - 481.46s

or it's a manager, and then they start moving players. With the Sons, you've got all your money tied up in the three guys, and now you need to get others to come join this team, which looks like a sinking ship. It does. Why would I do that?Look at the Western Conference, the Nuggets ORG. Look at the young superstars that are- Luca, Anthony Edwards.

Speaker 9481.96s - 487.48s

Minnesota ORG is going to be good for a while. SGA PERSON. Yeah. O'KC PERSON's going to be good for a while.

Speaker 8487.56s - 487.76s

Yeah.

Speaker 9487.92s - 509.64s

So, like Houston got so much better this year, but they got all banged up at the end of the year and their center Alper and Sangoon PERSON went out. They weren't the same team. You know, but there's a lot of, and we didn't even bring up Wemby.Wemby's out there, and Wemby's a damn alien. Somebody's going to want to play with him. Yeah. Somebody's going to want to play with Wemby. He's going to bring some people to the yard. He does not have to go out and look because people are going to go.

Speaker 8509.72s - 520.5s

If I'm a point guard, I want to go there. I want to go play with that guy that can shoot in the outside. I can just throw up the worst lob ever, and he's probably going to catch it and throw that damn thing down. I threw that in the state.

Speaker 9520.62s - 521.86s

Oh, there he goes.

Speaker 8522.58s - 524.52s

Celtics ORG, man, they need to get knocked out, man.

Speaker 9524.9s - 526.02s

How do you just lay an egg

Speaker 8526.02s - 528s

like that at home? He just let

Speaker 9528s - 530.1s

Donovan Mitchell PERSON do whatever he wanted to do.

Speaker 8531.3s - 532.26s

He did whatever

Speaker 9532.26s - 533.96s

he wanted to do. Then he's going to show up

Speaker 8533.96s - 536.12s

with his readers, looking old like me.

Speaker 9536.42s - 538.08s

But look, he is

Speaker 8538.08s - 539.98s

a professional score. Mitchell PERSON is

Speaker 9539.98s - 542.12s

a guy just, like that's a higher

Speaker 8542.12s - 544.02s

gun. The baseball boys and girls, they're professional hitters.

Speaker 9544.34s - 546.32s

Yeah. The basketball, they're professional scores.

Speaker 8546.4s - 562.48s

You know the guys. I know. He's going to, he might get you 38 points and you might look over and go, oh, he grabbed six rebounds and he had one assist. Like, you know, like he's a guy. He's just a go-getter.Like the fact that they had a game against the magic where he finished the game scoring like 22 points in a row for them.

Speaker 9562.6s - 566.2s

And then in the next game, he rattled off the first seven. So it's like

Speaker 8566.2s - 568.08s

is anybody else want to shoot? But why can't the

Speaker 9568.08s - 571.76s

Celtics ORG dominate at home in the playoffs man? Why can't they?

Speaker 8571.84s - 573.74s

They do this every single year. I just saw it's that at

Speaker 9573.74s - 577.08s

$15 and $15 at home the last four

Speaker 8577.08s - 578.84s

postseason. Well I mean we might want to

Speaker 9578.84s - 581.18s

pump our brakes a little bit but

Speaker 8581.18s - 599.4s

look the Knicks are all banged up. O.J. PERSON and Nobie's out more than likely for the next two games. Jalen Brunson's questionable, expect him to play. O.G.'s got a hamstring injury, so he might be out the rest of the playoffs. And it looks like even if they, so the Pacers are going to be favored by seven and a half in both of these games. So we might have an

Speaker 0599.4s - 603.72s

even series going back, but like everybody just assumes that Boston ORG's going to be in the finals.

Speaker 8604.38s - 615.36s

And really, I thought the Cavs ORG would be a walkover for him. But this, that Boston's going to be in the finals and really I thought the Cavs would be a walkover for him, but this I'm not going to write off the Pacers or the Celtics ORG or the Knicks ORG because of the way the Celtics ORG are playing, man.

Speaker 0615.98s - 618.78s

Like Tatum looks bad right now. Nobody's shooting well.

Speaker 8619.7s - 621.5s

So they're just playing an inferior

Speaker 9621.5s - 641.96s

opponent that's banged up. 4105831057 CARDINAL. That's the number. Baltimore's Big Bad Morning Show WORK_OF_ART on the fan. More NBA 645 PRODUCT. 615 in the a.m. Baltimore's Big Bad Morning Show WORK_OF_ART on the fan.

Speaker 4672.64s - 676.62s

Baltimore Orioles have coming to this year, probably with the highest expectations.

Speaker 9676.98s - 687.54s

We can remember since maybe what, 2015? Coming off of the division in 2014? Yeah. That year, what, I think they went, what, 500? Oh, 83?

Speaker 8688.06s - 691.36s

Close to 500 that year. Yeah, it was a disappointing year.

Speaker 9692.02s - 709.1s

Right now, 24 and 12, a half game up on the Yankees who have more wins than the Orioles ORG, but more losses as well. They play more games. How do you compare, I guess, this team from maybe the last year or maybe the last two years?

Speaker 8709.7s - 730s

Well, I'd say I have more confidence in the pitching, and I think we're more solidified there. It's a year, you know, you're a year removed from Grayson's rookie year and an opportunity for him to kind of step in. We all thought he would step up and kind of feel like he did before the injury. And then you look at Kyle Braddish PERSON coming back after what he did last year, finishing what, fourth in the

Speaker 0730s - 743.94s

Cy Young, one of the best ERAs in the American League. You add Corbyn Burns PERSON. I feel like the pitching's a little bit more of a known. The ironic thing is we love the offense, but we have questions about singular pieces in the offense, but they're so important to the

Speaker 9743.94s - 746.42s

defense. How do you make this work?

Speaker 8747.12s - 747.72s

I think, you know,

Speaker 9747.8s - 749.1s

maybe because it's new,

Speaker 8749.6s - 751.04s

when people talk about Kyle Bradish PERSON,

Speaker 9751.08s - 764.84s

they forget about this one. He was second team, all MLB ORG. If the guy's second team all pro in the NFL ORG, we mentioned it all the time. MLB ORG has an all MLB team now.He was second team all MLB ORG.

Speaker 8765.26s - 779.06s

And, you know, the best part about that is, like, people look at this stuff and go, okay, well, yeah, he was good last year. But you were in the top five in ERA and the top five in Sye Young voting. That's the biggest award a starting pitcher can get.

Speaker 9779.5s - 781.08s

And you're in the top five?

Speaker 8781.2s - 784.02s

Yeah. I mean, that's all you need to know about how good.

Speaker 9784.02s - 784.8s

He was recognized across the board. Yeah.

Speaker 8785.16s - 799.4s

You know, every, he was across. Sy Young PERSON. That's, I mean, that's all you need to know. He was recognized across the board. Yeah. You know, every, he was across, Sean PERSON voting is like, your peers and everybody else, the media, they know who you are. You have to get voted. It's not opinionated. That's an actual vote, you know? So he was the top five in that.

Speaker 9799.94s - 806.4s

I think most people in baseball expect this guy to be a front line, front of the rotation type starter.

Speaker 8806.56s - 810.98s

Well, what happens if, like, all right, so let's say our four guys that we talk about all the time,

Speaker 9810.98s - 824.72s

the two that just came back, Corvin and Grayson PERSON, like, you feel really good about having those four. Let's say John Means PERSON isn't pitching, you know, up to snuff for whatever reason. You've got Dean Kramer PERSON. You've got Cole Irvin PERSON. You've got options.

Speaker 10825.86s - 841.7s

So starting pitching, I feel like, I'm not telling you it's locked down, but this is one of the better rotations in baseball, maybe Cleveland or Seattle GPE, but like I don't know that there is top heavy as we are because I think Braddish and Burns PERSON are legit. I've seen enough of Bradish

Speaker 9841.7s - 888.14s

to think this is the real deal. And if you ask me to compare, that's what I compare. That's to me with the edge. The pitching rotation, last year going to the postseason, and I know you, well, you only add one guy, but one guy's big. But last year going to the postseason, to me, that was the biggest question mark. This year, not only because you add Burns, but Bradish PERSON has been there.Rodriguez has been there. Kramer PERSON's been there. These guys have been there now. Jeremy PERSON, you and I both know, man, it's different when I'm there for the first time versus, I've been here before. Now you have some recall. Last year, there wasno recall. Everything was new. First time I did this, first time I did that. Now, remember last year, they've got that in their back pocket. And I think that's, to me, the biggest difference with this team.

Speaker 8888.4s - 919.4s

Yeah. And, you know, like when we're looking at the team, too, we talked about some of the holes, clearly the back end looking at that bullpen. But the cool thing about this year, too, is you know, you finally have an idea of who your prospects are. And when you want to go make a move, they can literally make any move they want, depending on what they want to give up. They can get anything. So they have enough firepower to do whatever they want. And I'm not saying they should go and just trade off pieces for the sake of trading, but making the right deals. And I've got the utmost confidence in the front office to get that done.

Speaker 9919.76s - 937.16s

Yeah. 410, 5-83-1057. Baltimore's Big Bad Morning Show WORK_OF_ART on the fan. You know, this is a good baseball team, an outstanding baseball team, to be quite honest with it. I think also, Jeremy, I have more confidence in the offense this year as well.

Speaker 8937.64s - 974.48s

Well, I mean, we've looked at it. For example, we've talked about some of the holes right now because Colton Cowlcher's not hitting like he did when he first came up, but again, he's not even hitting remotely close to that. And then you start looking at said, hitting 200 and how you're filtering out the rest of the lineup.I still feel like they're a little vulnerable against right-handed pitching. Excuse me, left-handed pitching because we don't have enough right-handed bats at this point in time. So you should be interesting to see what happens here moving along, but you're going to see a lot of Westberg PERSON in that lineup, regardless lefty-righty.I think you know who your everyday guys are and who you're flipping and flopping here. Flipping and flop.

Speaker 9975.14s - 982.12s

To me, nothing was more evident about how potent this offense was,

Speaker 8982.56s - 984.18s

like Wednesday night.

Speaker 9985.18s - 1003.22s

When the Nats kept responding, the Orioles ORG, bam, they get responding to the Orioles. It was almost like they just finally beat them down. You know, somebody fights back, fights back, and then finally you just get on top and that's it. It's over with. And that's how I felt on Wednesday night with the Orioles ORG.

Speaker 81003.5s - 1008.98s

Yeah. And, you know, like, how do you feel about this series coming up? Because you get another team that has, I mean, they just came.

Speaker 91009.18s - 1022.64s

They were in the world series EVENT. They're on fire right now, too. Play the ball. Playing good baseball. They just ran into the Reds ORG and beat them up. But Brandon Fott PERSON, my favorite name to say. He's a nice young pitcher. He'll be going to night for them.

Speaker 01022.88s - 1033.96s

And then, you know, the rest of the series, I don't know if they get Ryan Nelson on Saturday. And, yeah, so we'll see Zach Gallen Sunday. That's what I wanted to see. Zach Gallen PERSON and, um, what is it?

Speaker 81033.96s - 1040s

Kelly, or they're two. And then they have Jordan Montgomery, too. They picked up in the offseason. Let's go to Parkfield and get Chris PERSON. Good morning, Chris.

Speaker 91041s - 1042.06s

Happy Friday, gentlemen.

Speaker 61042.28s - 1042.76s

Happy Friday.

Speaker 81044.2s - 1046.02s

Hope everyone's doing well in theirs

Speaker 61046.02s - 1095.58s

And your families Yes, sir, you too You just like What you're just the current topic You couldn't be more spot on A lot of peopleForget like Once we hit the break Last year the All-Star break The pitching was expended And they were a year younger it's a very young team that's experience it's like the rear viewmentality that's in the rearview mirror and this team a lot of people probably don't remember this but they came back I don't know 40 some odd games where there were two innings left and they were they came back, I don't know, 40-some-odd games where there were two innings left, and they came back, and they won. It snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat. So I couldn't concur more with you guys than what you're talking about.

Speaker 91095.88s - 1114.86s

Chris PERSON, thanks a lot, man. They had a lot of come from behind wins last year and won a lot of one-run games because it was almost like a fear. They went in too many one-run games. You can't continue to do that. But people kept saying, and they kept winning those one-run games because it was almost like a fear. They went in too many one-run games. You can't continue to do that. But people kept saying, and they kept winning those one-run games. But I understood the concern about that. That's a slippery slope.

Speaker 81115.1s - 1116.6s

People are always like, what are you complaining for?

Speaker 91116.6s - 1117.02s

They're winning.

Speaker 81117.18s - 1151.76s

But yeah, like, at some point, you're going to fall behind and not be able to come back. And I think part of the reasons, like, first of all, fan graphs and some of these other publications didn't really like the Orioles ORG coming in. That's why you saw the low win totals. And that can be expected because they got ahead of it beforehand. But this past year, we were all looking at their win total saying they won 100 games last year. I feel like the team's going to be better this year, even with the loss of Batista PERSON. And then their win total comes down. Well, a lot of those were, as you're talking about, one-run games, late. Yeah. I mean, you're holding on and I think I think that's why you see the numbers drop a little bit,but I still think they're going to get over that win total.

Speaker 91152.4s - 1174.8s

Speaker 71283.1s - 1307.74s

You never want to see anyone get hurt, especially with at the rate guys are going down right now. I think we've got a problem in our game. MLB ORG is going to tell you it's not pitch clock related. I would argue that injuries, long-term injuries are up the last two years, and the rate we're having injuries this year is nothing like we ever seen before. You hate seeing guys go down. A lot of these are career-changing injuries for guys. It sucks to see. We'll see what happens. That's Corbyn PERSON down. A lot of these are career-changing injuries for guys. It sucks to see. We'll see what happens.

Speaker 91309.94s - 1325.82s

That's Corbyn Burns. That's the last week. He's one of the pitchers that believes that this is pitch clock-related. There are numbers that actually support that. But there's numbers that refute that as well. That's what I'm about to say. I don't know where I stand on that, Jeremy PERSON.

Speaker 81325.98s - 1376.82s

Well, my only problem is if we look over what the past 10 years, and I don't have numbers in front of me, but I did hear somebody breaking this down when this first started, that the injuries haven't outweighed the other years as much as it has this year. So like if you look at it, it's not like this is an anomaly and we've seen 20 players go down. In other years, we've only had three or four. It's kind of on par with a lot of other season. So I think some of it, too, we look at some of the pitchers have gone down. How about Blake Snell PERSON coming in late? How about, you know, some of these other guys that, you know, you're pitching in the off season. What are you doing? Now we're talking about getting rid of the tack.Guys are still learning to throw with it. Are they overcompensating because they don't have enough tack to try to get that extra, you know, drop on their curveball or get that slider to move a little bit more? And the only thing I'll say about the pitch clock is if, if guys tended to be ones that wanted to wait and they made you,

Speaker 01377.04s - 1389.94s

you know, they were way too patient. The human rain delay pitchers, if you will, those types of guys that maybe they're rushing through their process or they're going through the motions too quick and they're rushing that. But again, I'm just not

Speaker 91389.94s - 1396.16s

buying it. You know what else is gone? Happened over the last two or three years, Jeremy PERSON? What's that? The velocity.

Speaker 81396.46s - 1399.12s

Yeah. Average velocity back in 2021,

Speaker 91399.92s - 1451.78s

93.7. The next year went up 93.9. Last year, 94.7. The next year went up 93.9. Last year, 94.2. Average velocity on the slider back in 21 was 84.8. Then 85. Now, then last year, 85.5.So that's the one thing that we're not talking about. We're talking about the pitch clock. Yeah, that's changed. But also, the velocity has. And when you've got velocity, as you're talking about it, you got to spin. People don't realize, even try to spin fast balls.Everything's thrown with a spin to it. So when you bring up that velocity, you're putting more torque on your arm. I think the injuries to me are more akin to everybody wants to throw harder. Everybody wants that breaking ball to break sharper. They're slotted to move tougher. And when you do that, you're putting more torque on your arm.And the human body's not meant to throw overhand anyway.

Speaker 81452.34s - 1473.48s

Yeah, this is another one where, I mean, maybe we won't find out for years to come until they're actually going back and doing research on everything. And looking at these years is, you know, to figure out what's actually taking this down. And we're seeing the injuries. And it's not just like starting pitchers and things like that. I mean, we had an injury to Wilson Contreras PERSON, which was a freak injury with a bat hitting him.

Speaker 01474.02s - 1507.82s

I mean, we've had some stupid things. But I agree with you. Like, let's talk about the arm angles we're throwing at. I mean, did we have the Darren O'Day types, that we have the Chris Sale PERSON types and throw from all these different slots and really change things up? Is that bad for the arm? We've heard people saying that over time you're probably going to need Tommy Johnif you're throwing that way. And I think when we look at some of the other guys across the board, it's exactly what you talked about. We have to throw faster. We have to throw harder. Everybody's talking about Mason Miller PERSON.He's averaging almost, it's over 101 miles an hour on his fastball. That's what he averages.

Speaker 81509.04s - 1511.08s

So, chances are, you know, eventually.

Speaker 91511.88s - 1512.76s

The bodies weren't made.

Speaker 81512.92s - 1541.74s

Look, when we talk bigger, stronger, faster, at some point we get to the point where the body starts breaking and it starts breaking down because you're adding too much or overcompensating for something else. I don't think, like when guys played back in the day and we're talking baseball and not comparing it to other sports because I think baseball is very different. You know, we didn't hear about all of these injuries. They weren't working out the way guys are working out. I'm not saying there's anything wrong working out.But when you keep building, building, building lean muscle, lean muscle, I think the joints and everything else will break down.

Speaker 91541.86s - 1567.14s

Jeremy PERSON, when we talk bigger, stronger, faster, we talk about a naturally bigger, naturally stronger, naturally faster. But what's happening is we're forcing our bodies to be bigger, stronger, and faster. That's when you start putting more on it.Maybe your body wasn't meant to have as much muscle as you have on it. Maybe your body wasn't meant to try to go as fast as you're trying to go. You know, the bigger, stronger faster is a natural comment. But we're trying to enhance that. We're trying to go. You know, the biggest, strong, or faster is a natural comment. But we're trying to enhance that.

Speaker 01567.22s - 1573.52s

We're trying to go probably beyond what our body is capable of doing. It's funny you talked about working out more.

Speaker 91573.62s - 1590.8s

I was watching MLB Network, and he did something on Tony Gwynn because yesterday was his birthday. Yeah. Oh. I don't think, I don't know. I know Gwen PERSON has been in some cages Yeah But I don't know QuinnIn the weight room

Speaker 81590.8s - 1591.28s

I know

Speaker 91591.28s - 1605.54s

People would say the same thing about Marshall Falk When you saw me Oh yeah And I don't mean this in a derogic It looked like a little doughboy YeahHe wasn't muscular But he just had that twitch I didn't realize it I'm like Hmm I meanAll right People may not like it But my body is peak Physical condition For a grown man he just had that twitch. I didn't realize it. I'm like, hmm. I mean, all right.

Speaker 81609.8s - 1611.58s

People may not like it, but my body is peak physical condition for a grown man. You know, like that's... Who are you quoting?

Speaker 91613.16s - 1619.56s

Um, not your, that's not your comment. That's a quote from somebody else? No, it's Scout PERSON. Okay, that's what I thought. Yeah. About somebody else.

Speaker 81619.62s - 1621.78s

Peak physical condition. About something.

Speaker 91621.78s - 1625.16s

Well, maybe not the, um, maybe not the cardio part right now.

Speaker 81626.12s - 1633.66s

What's the last time you lift? I haven't lifted. Last time I lifted almost three years ago because when my neck went, I went,

Speaker 91634.02s - 1638.84s

and last time you ran was when somebody chased you. Mm-mm. I don't think that,

Speaker 81639.64s - 1641.1s

I don't remember the last time I ran.

Speaker 91642.74s - 1643.96s

I still think I can run.

Speaker 81644.16s - 1644.52s

Like I was,

Speaker 01644.62s - 1646.04s

who was I talking smack to about

Speaker 91646.04s - 1729.5s

basketball yesterday? I was like, man, I was still bust your ass. I ain't, oh, it's my buddies that I grew up with. I was telling one of my friends, Ricky PERSON, he was talking, he said, I still play basketball. I said, I ain't played in five years. I still bust your ass. I just, I just found this, this was I looking forabout throwing. Overhead throwing can cause the tendons of the rotated cuff to become compressed as they pass through the shoulder joint gradually leading to pain. Eventually this condition, which is one of the most common baseball injuries can progress to moresevere tendonitis. So think about this. Think about this. That's natural that's going to happen anyway, right? So now I'm r wearing back to throw harder. And I'm throwing harder and harder. Now I'm coming from the side because I want to get a little spin on it. So now I'm taking these two fingers and I'm bringing them over my wrist sideways. So now I'm putting all of that. If you just do this, you can feel the muscles in your forearm stretch. So now if I'm doing this with some velocity, oh, I wonder why I have pain in my forearm.I wonder why I need Tommy John surgery because that's all those muscles and tendons there. And you're trying to do that with more velocity. This is not rocket signs, folks. If you don't like the pitching clock, let's not make the pitching clock the problem. The problem is you're throwing harder and harder, and that's fine. However, expect there to be some repercussions to that.

Speaker 81729.8s - 1746.74s

Yeah. And like the other thing that people have to realize, too, is, you know, when you're starting to look at all these guys and breaking them down, like each body's different. We don't know what guys are doing in the off season if you hurt something doing this, working out.But everybody is trying to get faster or trying to get more break on the breaking ball.

Speaker 01746.94s - 1750.1s

You know, something to fool the hitters.

Speaker 101750.4s - 1755.4s

And I think over time, the constant, you know, repetition of doing that over and over again.

Speaker 01755.64s - 1784.92s

Like when you're lifting, you're basically tearing your muscles and building it up bigger, right? So I wonder what happens to the body when you keep throwing, throwing. Don't they tell you to take time in the off season, take time off, let that arm rest. Right. You know, some guys are trying to work their way up. They want to get paid. And like, you know, we were talking about this too. You had players this year, and I'm doing apples and oranges in the NBA, like Tyrese Halliburton PERSON and some others, that want to be eligible for all pros so they can get the super max deal. So they played hurt most of the season trying to get to that point.

Speaker 91784.92s - 1805.9s

Because the NBA ORG has that policy where if you miss games, certain amount of games. Yeah, you've got to play at least 65. Yeah, you're not eligible for those awards, which I like the rule. I mean, I think maybe guys like Halliburton ORG are beaten up by because they legitimately hurt. But we know, I would say the majority of, it protects the integrity of the game.

Speaker 81806.1s - 1816.24s

Let me give you an example. Again, I'm comparing apples and oranges, but if Austin Hayes was banged up at the beginning of the year, and you're looking over your shoulder and you see all these young players, aren't you going to push it to try to make something happen?

Speaker 91817.02s - 1843.4s

I think Austin Hayes was banged up at the beginning of the year. I think he was. Remember, he missed the last part of spring training. Yeah. He knew he made the team. He knew where his spot was.You missed that time in order to be able to start the season. Why in the world? Coulton Couser PERSON made the squad. I'm not going to get on the injury list while he's on the squad. You got guys in AAA Norfolk ORG ready to come. I don't blame Austin Hayes at all.

Speaker 81843.5s - 1868.5s

I don't blame anyone. I'm just saying like you don't like guys are competing. We talked about this year being a different year for Grayson Rodriguez PERSON so he doesn't come out. He doesn't have to come out in spring training and say, hey, I'm ready, check this out.He gets to come out and just work on some stuff. I'm doing my air quotes. You know, and he knows he's going to be on the roster. Other guys when you're competing for that spot, you're going to go out and work your ass off and, you know, doing too muchto try to get to a point where you want to be.

Speaker 91868.7s - 1894.44s

Well, give it away Slipknot ORG tickets in the 8 o'clock hour, but at 715, a very, very good barbershop topic. Probably one of my favorite barbershop topics that we've had. That's at 715, don't go anywhere. But on the other side, the Pacers complained about 78 foul calls over the last two games. What is going on with the Indiana Pacers? Do you believe this, Jeremy PERSON? Baltimore's Big Bad Morning Show WORK_OF_ART on the fan.

Speaker 51895.08s - 1902.4s

Honoring those who serve Baltimore ORG. Its first responder Fridays on a big bad morning show. 1057 The Fan ORG.

Speaker 01902.52s - 1919.68s

I'm always talking to our guys about not making it about the officials, but we deserve a fair shot. There's not, there's not a consistent balance, and that's disappointing. You know, small market teams deserve an equal shot, no matter where they're playing. Oh, man.

Speaker 91919.92s - 1926.48s

Small market teams deserve a shot. What is he talking about?

Speaker 81926.56s - 1951.4s

So he stayed up really late and he wrote 78 finally worded letters to the NBA ORG office. It's a bit much, right? So this is a bit much when you're talking about you think in basically over two games that there were 78 calls that didn't go in your favor. Now, I'm saying if that's factual, what I think happened is there's probably four or five key moments in those two games where they didn't get the call.

Speaker 131952.28s - 1955.34s

And then they look for all these other things that are 50-50 plays,

Speaker 81955.42s - 1957.2s

and they just say, hey, what about this?

Speaker 131957.24s - 1962.5s

What about that? We're not going to point this out. I don't know how you come up with 78 and why they spent all that time.

Speaker 91962.66s - 1964.58s

What does he get this whole small market thing, though?

Speaker 81964.58s - 1970.92s

So I sent something last night to the group about Tim Donegge PERSON. You remember the ref that was fixing games?

Speaker 91971.8s - 1999.16s

Here's what he said to Matt Hayes PERSON on one of, or actually he was on a radio show, and I guess he's just kind of retweeting it. They used to put us in a room and show us plays that concentrate on that they didn't want us to miss. It was always for those big market teams and always against mid-market teams. It's not fixed, but they definitely put one team in an advantage. We'd walk out of those pre-game meetings and say, oh, man, they really want the Lakers to win tonight. And if you're getting paid $25,000 to extend each playoff game, you'd definitely want that series to go longer, too.

Speaker 82000.18s - 2043s

That's an interesting point. Like, I don't like the, I hate any of the fixed stuff when we when we get into that, because I feel like we talk about it way too much. Anytime somebody loses a bet, the game's fixed or something goofy happens in a game, the game's fixed. And they might be right every once in a while, but they say it every single time. And it just sucks because, like, when you have a guy like Tim Donig who gets busted and he's telling everything now, It's almost like the Jose Canseco PERSON thing, right? Right. Gets busted for steroids like, all right, and I'm telling on everybody now. And you're going, I don't think he's lying about this stuff, but doesn't it behoove him to lie? So he's back in the news again and he's getting these appearances and he's selling books. Sohonestly, I don't know what the right answer is, but I think that's where that stems from. Okay.

Speaker 92043.86s - 2047.38s

What are you considered a big market? Like top five, top ten maybe?

Speaker 82047.64s - 2050s

I think you're probably looking top 20 markets.

Speaker 92050.14s - 2053.76s

Okay. All right. So, okay. Denver 17. That would be big market?

Speaker 82054.32s - 2055.76s

Bigger, but okay.

Speaker 92056.14s - 2057.12s

They won last year.

Speaker 82057.72s - 2058.82s

Yeah, before that golden state.

Speaker 92059.76s - 2060.46s

Big market?

Speaker 82060.98s - 2062.12s

It is with San Francisco GPE.

Speaker 92062.44s - 2077.42s

Okay. Yeah. Phoenix GPE. Lakers won the year of the bubble. Golden State ORG won, what? But several, no, Toronto ORG won before then.In fact, Phoenix GPE didn't win. It was Milwaukee GPE the one.

Speaker 02077.48s - 2081.12s

That's not big market. Nope. So I don't understand.

Speaker 92082.04s - 2104.46s

That's my pushback. Sometimes when we get upset, when we talk, I think we go too far. Express what you're really concerned about. But the whole big market thing in the NBA ORG, I don't think the NBA ORG has a fix-in for big market teams to win.I think they like stars. I do. But the big market thing, I'm not buying. So that's what he's saying.

Speaker 82104.46s - 2106.08s

When last time the Knicks ORG have won the championship?

Speaker 02106.32s - 2107.06s

Yeah, that's their fault.

Speaker 82107.36s - 2108.28s

They have terrible ownership.

Speaker 92108.44s - 2126.5s

I'm just saying. Yeah, but all right, so the last time they won a championship, it's been forever. That being said, I do think, like, what Tim Donagie PERSON's saying is like, hey, they're not fixing the games. It's almost like when a team says, hey, we're not tanking. We're not telling them to lose on purpose. We're just putting out bad. Yeah, we're putting out bad. So if you're the referee and you're going, hey, we're not tanking. We're not telling them to lose on purpose. We're just putting out bad.

Speaker 82126.5s - 2127.68s

Yeah, we're putting out bad.

Speaker 02127.82s - 2131.76s

So if you're the referee and you're going, hey, I'm getting paid $25,000 a game.

Speaker 82132.62s - 2164.88s

And you know the NBA ORG is kind of saying, hey, we want to look for these plays. Because if you're looking at certain plays and it's like, hey, LeBron PERSON gets hit every time he does this. So make sure you're calling that. It does feel like you're giving the superstars or even some of these bigger markets. If you want to talk about New York, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco GPE. I don't know what else they're considering Boston's in there. Detroit GPE's a big market. They haven't done anythingin a long time. So, Texas, you know, if you're looking at Dallas, I don't know which one's the biggest, Dallas, Houston. I know San Antonio GPE is probably the smallest. Listen, I'm not arguing

Speaker 92164.88s - 2183.78s

that the fact that, you know, Houston, I know San Antonio GPE is probably the smallest. Listen, I'm not arguing that the fact that, you know, you big market teams help your product out. I'm not arguing that. I just, I'm pushing back from, I don't think the NBA ORG istrying to cater to New York Knicks ORG over the Indiana Pacers. I don't think it's an NBA ORG thing. It's a bad call. Do you

Speaker 82183.78s - 2211.42s

think it does anything to send all those things into the front office? Like, you know how you, like sometimes you're doing something just to make a statement to say, hey, look at us. This is so over the top with 78 in two games that I almost feel like this is, we're going to see a difference in the next game, but it may not matter much because it just might be home court in the fact that O.G. Ninovi is going to miss the next two games, and Jalen Brunson PERSON's banged up. He's questionable for the next game, although I think he plays.

Speaker 92212.56s - 2232.4s

Yeah, I think all those things matter. I do. 410583-1057. That's the number but the most big bad morning show on the fan. I think what were you looking at the New York Knicks ORG team came out, it were hot. It came out a lot more physical as well. I think, if're looking at the New York Knicks ORG team came out, it was hot.It came out a lot more physical as well. I think if anything, the more physical team beats you down in terms of the refereeing.

Speaker 02232.82s - 2244.46s

They dictate the calls down the stretch. You may get those tick-and-tack calls early on because I'm being physical, but I think as the game goes on, I'm conditioning the referees by telling them how this game's going to be played.

Speaker 82244.46s - 2291.1s

Let me, you coach, I coached. The good defensive teams, there's going to be a little gray area of whether or not they're dirty teams, right? Because you're going to play as to the, and I don't mean dirtyin the wrong way, I'm just saying like, here's a jersey pool, here's, you know, I'm giving you a little extra nudge, maybe I'm tapping that elbow when the jump shot goes up. You know, little simple things that you're trying to poke in your stomach. Like getting away with certain things in thegame because the reps aren't calling it. They're calling it a little bit looser instead of being so tight and blowing the whistle every time somebody touches someone. So I think that does play in the hands of a Knicks ORG team.So the NBA ORG could do something like hey, this this officials group, they call the least amount of fouls. Maybe I put them on this. That could happen. But again, you're not fixing a game.

Speaker 92291.9s - 2299.04s
