Speaker 334.88s - 56.84s

Everyone has a loss. There's a no hitter. A team is playing in Sacramento. Let's talk.

Speaker 258.64s - 126.06s

Hello and welcome to talking baseball, presented to you by seat geek. My name is Jake Storelli PERSON. His name is Trevor Plouf PERSON, BBD behind the dish. Over a week into the baseball season, luckily that packed house in Flushing GPE's got to seethe Mets get their first win and the Tigers get their first loss, that everyone's in it now. Every fan base knows what it feels like to get that in and out of the way. Trevor Plouffe PERSON, how are you doing, man? I'm a little mental health check. Well, everyone on the YouTube right now, I currently look like a cursed image threw onthe Jamboy Reds jersey, a gift from Tucker Barnhart a couple years ago, a big Johnboy ORG media guy, now on the snakes. I was looking like a bat boy because I was wearing my Yankees ORG jersey with a Yankees hat. Going opening day in a little bit at the stadium, so excited for that. Treve PERSON, I've seen a lot of, oh God, and I just said everyone's got to win, everyone has a loss. That's not true. That's not true.

Speaker 5126.06s - 131.76s

Not everyone has to stop you there, but. Wow. Okay, well, we just lost all of our

Speaker 2131.76s - 146.2s

our Marlins listeners, but we've kind of been mad at them ever since that Jazz Chiz PERSON and Mickey Row thing. But Treve PERSON, you've been getting dragged by our social team, dog. Are you okay? Yeah, like, what started that? I like i must have somebody mad and who's

Speaker 5146.2s - 151.68s

running it let me just tell you something you know that's not tay jack is that is that kyle like what's going

Speaker 2151.68s - 158.8s

on i'll check dude when they get hot on something they just they don't stop i think it's kyle

Speaker 5158.8s - 164.36s

you know he's got all his little minions coming after me it's fine i can take it i can handle it

Speaker 2164.36s - 166.42s

i would like some highlights of my career post.

Speaker 5166.42s - 167.92s

You do have highlights, too.

Speaker 3168.22s - 169.6s

Yeah. Yeah, you were an average player.

Speaker 5169.76s - 174.66s

It's just as much good as bad. Thank you, B, B, B, B.D. You look like Aaron Boone PERSON right now.

Speaker 2174.7s - 177.36s

If he went through his closet and just put on some shit.

Speaker 3178.08s - 178.44s

Remember?

Speaker 2180.38s - 182.04s

Can you do, like, the strike-up thing?

Speaker 5182.22s - 189.6s

There's that picture. I'm doing it. I can do that. How we doing picture I'm doing it. Can do that. How we doing? I'm doing great, dude.

Speaker 0189.74s - 191.04s

It's early morning app.

Speaker 4191.12s - 193.7s

I guess it's only 15 minutes earlier than usual.

Speaker 0194s - 198.26s

But I don't know, man. Like baseball's hot. I'm excited. The season's kind of like,

Speaker 5198.86s - 211.48s

so I guess not in full swing yet. But I think there's enough to diagnose a few different teams. My twins are struggling offensively. So I'm going to get in there and maybe make a call and say, hey, guys, this is what you got to do. No, I'm never going to do that.

Speaker 4212.02s - 213.2s

Shout out Dick Bremmer PERSON, though.

Speaker 5213.6s - 220.76s

Shout out Dick Bremmer PERSON. My guy got the TV broadcasting booth at Target Field named after him, and he threw out the first pitch to Joe Mower PERSON.

Speaker 2220.82s - 225.68s

It really was a nice ceremony for him, so I do want to actually give him a shout-out. So there it is, Dick PERSON.

Speaker 5226.04s - 228.18s

Hey, and how about as we're giving shout-outs?

Speaker 2228.42s - 277.36s

The Central Division's currently pulling their weight. I'm happy for you. And, like, there's, I don't know, I'm hoping that becomes a conversation of this season, is that we went through this off-season and it was like, man, the NL Central ORG,anyone can win it. The AL Central, your Twinkies PRODUCT are the favorite, and then everyone else can get involved, basically. And I don't know. I'm hoping that we ignored the fact that I do think a lot of these teams got better than last year.So if the NL Centrals ORG can be balanced but a step up, I think the product of baseball, like, any given night, you can kind of look at 15, 20 ball clubs that got some, I don't know, maybe hope is just too much in the air for me right now. You need everybody, listen up,

Speaker 5277.4s - 279.5s

this is a little PSA announcement, okay?

Speaker 2279.6s - 283.36s

Everyone needs to stop talking crap about the central divisions.

Speaker 5283.68s - 287.14s

Okay, like yes, like any division, they might have a

Speaker 2287.14s - 296.44s

bad team or two at the bottom. But like, that is everywhere. Okay, there's some good teams there. And let me ask you something. How did Eno Seris pick the pirates to make the playoffs this year?

Speaker 5296.68s - 301.72s

What is going on with him? Why does he know things that nobody else knows?

Speaker 2302.28s - 305.86s

Eno PERSON always knows, bro. Yeah, they...

Speaker 5305.86s - 306.5s

Miss you, Eno PERSON.

Speaker 2306.7s - 308.28s

If they keep this hot month going,

Speaker 5309.04s - 310.1s

they'll just need a little more

Speaker 2310.1s - 311.38s

because they did do it last year.

Speaker 5311.84s - 337.94s

Speaker 2392.2s - 394.46s

I got a request out to CAA ORG.

Speaker 5394.88s - 395.26s

Okay.

Speaker 2395.46s - 397.48s

To use their Dodger Stadium FAC tickets.

Speaker 5397.58s - 398.24s

They're very nice.

Speaker 2398.76s - 399.16s

Okay.

Speaker 5401.08s - 403.66s

Yes or no, that's the bet that I get them.

Speaker 2404.12s - 414.7s

Oh, well, CAA ORG, uhAA depends who's coming to town. Well, I'm trying to go with the Padre ORG series. That's the, uh, uh, on a weekend.

Speaker 5415.46s - 416.06s

Hmm.

Speaker 2417.32s - 418.26s

Padre's weekday.

Speaker 5419.18s - 420.96s

What time is that game? Padre's weekday, I think I got you.

Speaker 2420.96s - 422.56s

I said Saturday or Sunday.

Speaker 5423.4s - 425.46s

You gave them options, so that's good.

Speaker 2426.1s - 428.36s

That was, uh, yeah.

Speaker 5428.64s - 429.4s

It gets Sunday.

Speaker 3429.48s - 431.28s

The ticket game's always so funny, man.

Speaker 5431.28s - 433.24s

I, I had a buddy.

Speaker 3433.54s - 434.48s

It's supplying demand.

Speaker 5434.58s - 436.26s

Okay, a little business early on.

Speaker 2436.8s - 439.5s

Someone was like, hey, Yankees game Saturday night.

Speaker 5439.92s - 449.1s

The weather's bad and it's the final four is on, especially like Yukon GPE, that my buddy basically was already in, like, so, hey, I got tickets to work.

Speaker 3449.16s - 449.84s

Anyone want to go?

Speaker 2449.88s - 451.72s

And everyone was like, kind of not, man.

Speaker 3451.72s - 454.1s

Like, let me know in the summer.

Speaker 2454.66s - 456.1s

Like, God, and I'll see you there.

Speaker 4456.56s - 458.96s

Let's talk some National League ORG baseball, please.

Speaker 2459.98s - 683.24s

Please. Treve, your CAA Los Angeles Dodgers ORG. They sweep the San Francisco treat, the Giants ORG. And I think we're going to hear this a lot this year, man. Because the first game, Mookie and Freddie combined for five hits. The second game, Mookie and Freddie combined for five hits. These guys are out of control. Otani PERSON homers in the last game. They even hit a, they beat Logan Webb PERSON, and they've kind of had Logan Webb's PERSON number a little bit, and they beat them, and this is kind of gross to me, a Ryan Brazier opener with our guy, Ryan Yarber PERSON as the bulk guy.My goodness. The Dodgers ORG did what Dodgers do. They sweep the Giants. We'll talk about that one a little bit. My Cincinnati Reds, they take two out of three from the Phillies, a tight one in the first game. We're going to Buenos Contos GPE. And there's Spencer Steer Grand Slam in the 10th inning. That'll about do it, huh?The first Reds ORG Grand Slam and extra since? The Todd Father, Todd Frazier PERSON. Bryce Harper followed that up with a three-home or day. Love that. Ricardo Pinto PERSON, drive to the game. You're pitching the final four innings, dude. That's some fun. And then the Reds ORG took it in the rubber match. Six hits, five of them, extra bases. And how about Frankie Montas PERSON? Twirling the damn pill in Cincinnati GPE. A little rain in that one. There was a lot of rain all around the league. The Cardinals and your Padres teed it up for three. And the Cardinals took the first two games. Gippy, seven innings to earn runs. Yep. The boy. The boys. Cadres teed up for three, and the Cardinals took the first two games. Gippie!Seven innings to earn runs. Yep. The boys were hitting off of knuckleballer Matt Waldron in that first game. The second game, the cards take. Wilson Contreras, his second day with a two-run homer. We like that from the catcher spot. The Padres ORG salvaged on the last one. Joe Musgrove PERSON pitching. Kyle Higishioca PERSON. My guy, he throws out two base runners. He hits a home run. How about that from your backup guy behind the dish? And congrats to Jackson Merrill, his first show, Homer PERSON. Cubs sweep the Rockies ORG. This might be another thing you hear a lot this year. We talked about Imanaga's debut a little bit in the midweek episode. They had a little opener follower with some alliteration on the final game. Luke Little opens Ben Brown PERSON with the bulk, babe. They get it donethere. Christopher Morel keeps hitting homers. I saw him on a list of, I think it was Bel PERSON, or who was it? Chris Bryant and someone else for most homers in 200 Cub ORG games or whatever. That's a bad stat. Here's a good stat. The Pittsburgh Pirates stay hot, hot, hot. They take two out of three from the Nats ORG. They take the bread games. Marco Gonzalez PERSON does enough while that lineup be hitting. The boys are getting on base, I think, at like a 381 clip early on this year. And then Martine Perez, 6.2 to earn runs. While Brian Reynolds and Connor Joe's been doing a lot of hitting this season, Pirates, they get their first loss, but they are six in one and feeling good about it. Eno Seris PERSON always knows. And that's what happened in the national. Why does Eno PERSON know things? Dude, I...Oh, stuff plus. You know, what?

Speaker 5683.4s - 689.96s

Maybe we'll save this for an August episode, but maybe we'll build out our front office. Oh.

Speaker 2690.84s - 693.1s

I just watched Moneyball with my kids last night.

Speaker 5693.32s - 705.16s

Yeah, how'd that go? They loved it. They loved it. Yeah? Really? My daughter's like, is he going to get fired, Daddy?I'm like, maybe they should fire that. The sequel's gonna suck

Speaker 4705.16s - 715.6s

do you think him and John Henry actually sat down at Fenway FAC and had like a coffee and talked about Bill James PERSON and dinosaurs

Speaker 2715.6s - 716.98s

like I don't know

Speaker 5716.98s - 719.9s

I think once you're that level

Speaker 2719.9s - 779.34s

and you're that kind of deep in it I don't know I don't know sound off below't know. Sound off below. Trev, I mean, the two, you know, we're trying to get a little more topical because we, again, peeling back the curtains. You guys know your team better than us.There's times when we're talking about game two between the Reds and the Pirates that we kind of felt dumb because we're just reading a box score. So we want to hit some big topics. Dodgers are a big topic and they're going to be all season. They give the Giants ORG the business early on.Two, five, four games to wind it down. And I know I think we might be hearing a little bit about Mook Man PERSON later. You know, I don't want to give anything away. But I don't know. Anything you want to hit with your Dodgers ORG? Or anything that's not obvious with these Dodgers ORG?Well, I'll say about the series.

Speaker 5779.52s - 815.6s

The Giants ORG are a dang good team. Like, they're going to be a good team. They just run into, they ran into a buzz stop. And the Dodgers ORG are kind of buzzing right now people are you know they're at home for the home opener and and they're going man i mean yes we know about the top three of the lineup uh but the complimentary pieces have been really good as well and you were on to oscar the signing early on he'sbeen doing his thing they've been getting good pitching performances i mean james pexton PERSON i saw him i didn't know who was pitching. I went to the game. I was, oh, James Paxon PERSON's pitching. And I was talking to my buddies. He's not going to, like, he'll throw a little bit. And, you know, we'll see how far he can go. He goes five innings.

Speaker 2815.96s - 818.88s

Yeah, five innings, fucking zero earnings.

Speaker 5819.18s - 819.96s

Five walks.

Speaker 2819.96s - 820.26s

Five walks, too.

Speaker 5820.4s - 822.38s

So he had the bullets. Yeah.

Speaker 2822.64s - 825.6s

Like, they just kind of have a little bit of everything

Speaker 5825.6s - 855.12s

going on right now for them it's it's really it's really incredible to watch because people say oh like i think the word that people use to describe their lineup is relentless and it kind of just feels that way like somebody is going to get you yeah and like if it's like a tight rope back man like you have to be on your game one through nine. Like you can't, you can't give in in any certain any because it'll snowball on you. That's really what it feels like watching this team. Yeah.

Speaker 2855.2s - 865.04s

And I, you gave me a little credit there for Tay Oscar PRODUCT. You know, Teosker PERSON did get, I think 24 and a half milly this year. So I,you know, probably not my deep. But it wasn't under the radar signing. It really was. Well, that's the thing. You know, I think, 24 and a half milly this year, so I, you know, probably not my...

Speaker 5865.04s - 867.82s

But he wasn't under the radar signing. It really was.

Speaker 2867.9s - 904.54s

Well, that's the thing. You know, I think him and, you know, were him in Soler PERSON in similar buckets? Like, I think Soler PERSON has a little more pop potential, but Teoster can kind of play the outfield every day. That Teosker took a one-year dealand is kind of betting on himself, and it currently looks great. You know who got the save in that last game for the Dodgers? Denilsson Lamett PERSON. That's a name, you know, not to go full OB-W-Wan. That's a name I haven't heard around these parts in a long time. But if I see a name like that in the Dodgers ORG bullpen getting some outs, that'll, that'll scare you a

Speaker 3904.54s - 911.54s

little bit. I think I saw someone tweet, he's got like two clean appearances, and everyone just tweeted like, all right, Dodgers ORG did it again. That's messed up.

Speaker 5911.88s - 934.62s

Yeah, right. The stats that we have on our page that just is exactly kind of encapsulating what teams that face the Dodgers ORG are going to have to deal with is they've scored five runs, at least five runs, in all nine games they played in this season. It's a problem. That's a problem.

Speaker 4934.62s - 935.98s

We're talking about the Blue Jays ORG going

Speaker 2935.98s - 937.84s

how long without a freaking hit.

Speaker 4938.06s - 938.34s

Yeah.

Speaker 5939.2s - 948.08s

And here are the Dodgers scoring five runs in every single game. They're going to be a problem. We know that. And I think I took the under on their win total, and that's freaking me out a little bit.

Speaker 2948.08s - 974.2s

But, you know, long season ahead. Yeah, I always go on my lineup depth ramps. And, you know, when I talk about my Cincinnati Reds ORG, I'm like, how about Jake Fraley in that six hole? And then I'm looking at Tay Oscar and Muncie PERSON, and it's like well the DodgersDodgers season rolls on and yeah if you're the Giants like Jungle Lee PERSON's been hitting a Solair hit a little bit Patrick Bailey PERSON so

Speaker 5974.2s - 977.42s

I don't know I think they have a squad there they're going to be okay

Speaker 2977.42s - 1001.16s

anytime I think you come away from a Dodgers ORG series you kind of got to wipe that and be like all right let's let's hope we get something better next time. Trev, how about, I think I found my way to make this a little more topical with the other National League ORG games. Because all of them do have a central team. The Reds, the Cardinals, the Cubs, the Pirates.

Speaker 51001.96s - 1003.7s

They all won.

Speaker 21004.04s - 1064.18s

Wow, how about that? And, hey, we only have the data we have right now. We have seven or eight games from these teams. And I don't know. I guess I gushed a little bit at the start of the show, but I did tilt my head last night, and I was like, when I did the Pirates, TPP, I was hell-bent on taking the under because I need more unders. And then I looked at the lineup, and I was like, when I did the Pirates, TPP, I was hell-bent on taking the under because I need more unders. And then I looked at the lineup and I was like, okay, like I kind of believe, like the Pirates lineup felt like it got better. The Reds ORG had a sneaky, nice little offseason.I think they spent over 100 mil. And they got a year older. The Reds ORG got better. The Cubs ORG, you know, they've got a bunch of top prospects. They went out. They got better. The Cardinals ORG had to be better, right? So I'll pitch it to you wide and see where you want to zoom. I think the pirates have kind of taken a little bit of the headlines because they're off to another hot start. But I'm, Treve, you have me drinking a little Central Kool-Aid PRODUCT.

Speaker 51065.32s - 1067.42s

The Kool-Aid's good in the Central FAC, man.

Speaker 21067.54s - 1088.44s

You talk about, you know, the Reds go into Philadelphia GPE. They take two out of three, you know, Frankie Montas PERSON. What does he bring to the team? You know, he's healthy. You know, he's throwing the ball really well. The line there was five and two-thirds with one earned run.I mean, this is against a very good Phillies ORG lineup. If he is healthy, then you got, you know, you got yourself a rotation.

Speaker 51088.7s - 1135.84s

Andrew Abbott PERSON went out and had a good start against them as well. Like, I think that's the thing that we always question. Like the offense, even with all the injuries that they've had, like, it's still there. And you asked that question last night. Like, what should we talk about? One of the replies was, let's talk about the twins trade for Tyler Malley PERSON and who they gave upowie not that the twins necessarily needed more position players I feel like they do have enough at the big league level and the AAA ORG level but you know their offensive start a little bitand here you know you got freaking Spencer Steer PERSON hitting a Grand Slam and Cardinstein Strand PERSON hitting a walk off home run it's like the Reds ORG are going to be fun to watch all year I think Montas PERSON is a huge hugeplus if he can you know just be healthy people forget how good this guy can be I believe

Speaker 41135.84s - 1142.88s

2021 was in the big year 2022 he had a good year with the A's ORG before getting traded over to your Yanks

Speaker 51142.88s - 1147.4s

and then you know he's following the sunny gray pattern. That's what people are saying.

Speaker 41147.56s - 1147.92s

Yeah.

Speaker 51149.78s - 1152.2s

So that's a big, that's a big plus for them.

Speaker 41153.14s - 1158.04s

As far as the pirates go, like they're kind of like doing it in all facets, man.

Speaker 51158.04s - 1220.4s

Like their lineup be hitting. We got a lot of guys contributing up and down, which is nice to see again. Like, you know, it's early in the season, but we're getting a lot of good performances offensively, defensively, like they've improved a ton. Just having O'Neill Cruz back at shortstopis used for them, a full season of Triolo at second base. Like, they got dudes that can go do it. So I think that coincides with, you know, the pitching's been good. The bullpen's been really good. And here we are. Like, again, atides with, you know, the pitching's been good. The bullpen's been really good. And here we are. Like, again, at the beginning of the season, talking about these pirates who I think, like, the way they've been winning has kind of, like, been the most sustainable way. Like, it's just kind of been coming from all sorts of different areas on their team. Like, we did look at the roster. We did say, okay, it looks a little bit better. It looks a little bit different. But you got to go out and play the games. And so far what we saw in the preseason we're seeing show up on the field early on. So it's really, it's nice to see, man. And right now, you couldn't guess who's going to win the NL Central ORG. And I love that for baseball.

Speaker 21221.32s - 1316.84s

No, and I think it hit a sad, it hit a little bit of a sad note at times last year because you were looking at, well, outside of the Brewers ORG, like again, the Brewers deserve respect. They've been a well-run organization and they are four in one, so we'll get to them. But yeah, Pittsburgh ORG's getting on base, currently leading baseball and getting on. The Reds are first in Solminton GPE. I guess that's the other fun start. These teams kind of play different brands of ball. That if they can continue to stay elevated, I think that's really good for baseball and a fun watch. Like the Pirates have been on base and bullpen. The Reds ORG, you guys know I love their lineup depth. And I think, you know, we saw it with Texas last year that there's a point where Texashad nine MLB ORG starting pitchers on their roster that you knew. And that's where the Reds ORG are kind of a light version of that, where, you know, they got some guys healthy. They've got some guys in AAA ORG. I think Lodolo PERSON is rehabbing right now. Like, you know, Richardson pitched a little bit for them last year. That, hey, if Montas PERSON clicks, cool. And then if he gets banged up or has a rough week, then it's kind of onto the next guy that they have options to pitch, which I think that's part of my new regular season formula, have a lot of, have good offense and then have pitching options and something will figure itself out.Again, I don't think that's too analytical. Yeah, I think that's...

Speaker 51316.84s - 1318.02s

Give a little love to the Cubs ORG.

Speaker 21318.26s - 1331.2s

You know, I know it's the Rockies ORG, and we're always going to say, oh, it's the Rockies ORG, but you go and I believe it was the home opener, right? This, uh, this, uh, yeah, we got the, the electric pyrotechnic show, which, oh, yeah, yeah,

Speaker 51331.2s - 1336.18s

that was, that was something to marvel at. You know what, though, like, if I'm a ball player,

Speaker 21336.28s - 1339.84s

I don't want sparks just flying a little of place when I'm running out. Okay, put those,

Speaker 51340s - 1345.46s

get it away from me. Nice. It's way from me. Baltimore does massive flames.

Speaker 41345.58s - 1346.06s

I don't know why.

Speaker 51346.16s - 1352.78s

I feel like I saw so many home openers in Baltimore during my times, and they put like flames out there. Like big dog.

Speaker 21354.62s - 1360.42s

Here's the starting pitching the Cubs put out there against the Rockies ORG.

Speaker 51361.46s - 1364.94s

Shoda, I mean, my guy, my pick to win, NL rookie of the year,

Speaker 41365.38s - 1366.18s

went out and carved them up

Speaker 51366.18s - 1386.64s

in some really tough weather. Nine Ks. The strikeout stuff from him has been nuts.Javier Assad PERSON, who's like such a fun watch, six innings pitch zero and runs. And then they usean opener and then had a bolt guy and between Luke Little and Ben Brown PERSON, five innings pitched one earned run. We're doing it, people.

Speaker 21387.6s - 1423.18s

Yeah, I am going to put the slightest Rockies ORG asterisk right now, because my God, it's been a tough, tough go for my rocks there. But we got Rockies opening today. Kelsey Wingard on the sideline, yeah, there's the, for those on the YouTube ORG, there's the Cubs ORG Pyrotechnic show, which is, uh, yeah, it's almost, it's almost why bother a little bit, but hey, that's, uh, that's fun.Uh, Rocky's opening day. Everyone have a blast. Beautiful day in Colorado ORG. I saw Kelsey PERSON's, Kelsey's parents were out supporting their daughter, so.

Speaker 51423.34s - 1426.56s

Like, I want that relationship with Iowa GPE when she goes up.

Speaker 21426.64s - 1428.06s

They have such a great relationship.

Speaker 51428.56s - 1429.7s

That's why Kelsey PERSON's the best.

Speaker 21429.84s - 1430.9s

That's why Kelsey PERSON's the best.

Speaker 51433.12s - 1434.08s

Cards ORG pods.

Speaker 21434.3s - 1435.94s

Yeah, that series kind of happened.

Speaker 51436.24s - 1437.82s

Cards ORG got a couple pitching outings.

Speaker 21437.88s - 1439.4s

That's what they were looking for last year.

Speaker 51439.68s - 1441.4s

They've got an interesting little stretch coming out,

Speaker 21441.5s - 1451.8s

surrounded by a couple off days, Miami, Philly GPE. And, yeah, it looked like the Cubbies ORG, I think they're going on the road to the Dodgers and someone else.

Speaker 51452.04s - 1454.66s

No, Dodgers are going to the Cubs ORG.

Speaker 21455.2s - 1465.72s

Dodgers to the Cubs ORG, sorry, and then they hit the road for San Diego, Seattle GPE. So let's, again, we're going to be finding out more about all these teams in the coming days. Let's jump to the American League ORG.

Speaker 51465.72s - 1469.38s

I got one more thing on the Cardinals Padres ORG.

Speaker 21469.54s - 1475.52s

There are a couple fun things that happened. You talk about Higgie throwing out two runners.

Speaker 51476.4s - 1495.96s

I believe the first one was, who were the two runners? Beech, can you look that up for me? The first one, whoever it was, went in sliding feet first. And I was like, oh, that guy's not a base dealer. Like, you just don't.I used to slide in feet first. And I wasn't a base dealer.

Speaker 21497.38s - 1509.42s

So I think that can go two ways. I think you're right. I think for the non-base dealer, base dealer. I do think if you're a legit base dealer, if you can do kind of the trade turner, just stay on the bag.

Speaker 31510s - 1516.66s

I think there's a cool way to do it too. I believe the two guys are Donovan and Nolan Aeronado PERSON.

Speaker 51517.38s - 1519.22s

Aronado PERSON not a base dealer.

Speaker 31519.52s - 1521.64s

I think it was Aeronado that went in feet first,

Speaker 51521.72s - 1526.02s

and I was like, I know the the feeling bro. You're like if I

Speaker 31526.02s - 1527.48s

slide head first am I going to get there?

Speaker 51528.14s - 1530s

Do I have enough speed to get there?

Speaker 21530s - 1534.24s

If you're saying Lewis PERSON I don't know if that's your speed combo you want.

Speaker 51535.38s - 1537.7s

But then also at the end of the game

Speaker 21537.7s - 1541.98s

Roberto Suarez PERSON comes in or Robert Swartz PERSON comes in excuse me and

Speaker 51541.98s - 1563.5s

Five outs I think. Five outs save and after game, there was the Musgrove PERSON quote. Like, it's really nice to have a guy willing to go out there. It's more than one inning. Like, a little shots fired at Josh Hader PERSON. My first take on it was, I don't know if he really meant that, or if he was just pumping up his boy for doing it.It kind of like, when I'm really thinking about it, it is kind of like shots fired there.

Speaker 21564.2s - 1571.96s

Yeah, we, you know, Ryan Cohen is, he's a part of our, we now have a resident Padres ORG fan in the office. He's helping out with our socials.

Speaker 51571.96s - 1575.24s

Kind of a hot boy, Ryan PERSON is like a little, here in there. Like a weird way.

Speaker 41575.24s - 1575.76s

He's in there.

Speaker 51576s - 1577.22s

He's a type for sure.

Speaker 41577.5s - 1578.04s

He's a type.

Speaker 51578.04s - 1578.96s

He's a type.

Speaker 41579.16s - 1581.26s

Him and Jack Doyle PERSON are cousins. Yeah.

Speaker 21582.18s - 1584.78s

You know, he had some comments about Hater PERSON.

Speaker 41584.78s - 1587.24s

And I think Padres Nation ORG felt a little bit

Speaker 51587.24s - 1598.24s

that, dude, I got checked this offseason. You guys know if I get called out, I'd have that little defensive short guy mechanism for a second that, like, you want to do this?

Speaker 21598.66s - 1624.5s

And then, dude, Hater didn't, did not do one plus outings. And, like, in my head, that was one of the biggest perks of Hader PERSON. Like, hey, if you need a grindy five out finish, who else would you want? And that kind of wasn't in his bag. So I don't, I don't know if that was free agency. I don't know if his, he felt his performance got hurt by it.But, yeah, I mean, that's a shot across the bow.

Speaker 31624.5s - 1664.36s

I think I remember at one point at being a thing that he kind of asked not to do it because he felt like if he can just be a traditional clothes or rack up some saves, that's what's going to get him paid. It did. And there was like people thinking, but he never said anything that like when he gets his payday, maybe he'll go back to doing that since money's gotten. It's in the bank. One more Cardinals ORG thing on those steals. The Aeronado one with the bad slide. Ali Marmold PERSON might have done the rudest thing he's done as a manager. He challenged the play unsuccessfully, so they just had to sit there and watch him slide for a while. It's Aranado?

Speaker 51664.46s - 1664.7s

Don't do that.

Speaker 21664.7s - 1666.46s

No one. Just pick the ball third, baby, and hit some homers. It's Aranato. Nolan, just pick the ball at third, baby,

Speaker 51666.5s - 1667.28s

and hit some homers.

Speaker 21667.64s - 1750.4s

And here's the tag. Lexus Diaz with a five-out save during the Nats ORG. Let's jump over to some American League ORG baseball, huh? America GPE. Yep. Speaking of a couple teams with Trev PERSON's fingerprints all over them, his Texas Rangers versus his Tampa Bay Rays ORG. Yeah, Trev PERSON, yeah. Rangers ORG, they take the bread games. How about it? Dane Dunning, a couple innings left, couple innings right, 6.1, 3 earned runs. Josh Young PERSON with a big game, but also an injury.I think he's going to miss a chunk of time. We don't love that. Adolus PERSON with a homer in that game. Led Zefflin and Esauk Paredes the next day put in some big boy efforts. And then Nate Doggivaldi makes it regulate seven innings. Shutout.Corey Seeger Homer PERSON. Yeah, that checks out. Rangers ORG get their business done in the trough, by the way. Not always an easy place to get it done over there. The Blue Jays and the Astros ORG, man. The Astros dominated 2.8 games, but they got two wins. The Blue Jays, they steal the middle game. Davis Schneider, Babe Ruth Schneider, takes one. Was that off a hater?

Speaker 01750.56s - 1757.3s

Oh, boy, tough hater at Punt. Oh, yeah, and that first episode, first game,

Speaker 41757.66s - 1775.08s

Ronel Blanco PERSON with the no-hitter. Welcome to the season, dude. Fun story there. We're going to talk about that. They won that game 10-0, and they took the final game 8. Oh, man, my guy the Basset Hound PERSON has been getting banged up a little bit early on.Yorda on Alvarez PERSON.

Speaker 21776.22s - 1779.66s

Is our whole building shaking BBB? Is that an earthquake?

Speaker 01780.2s - 1783.34s

We'll circle back on that. You feel that, right?

Speaker 21784.38s - 1926.2s

Maybe building might be coming down. We'll check on that that. You feel that, right? Maybe building might be coming down. We'll check on that later. Chris Roses, Cleveland Guard Dogs ORG. They take two out of three from Seattle GPE. How do you like that? The Guard Dogs have been swinging the stick this season.Bone Naylor, two for four. Brian Rokio PERSON, sure, the bottom of the lineup, bringing the noise, and then J-Ram-Quon in that final game with some special pitching from Logan Allen and Shane Bieber PERSON. Mariners drop another series. Canzone homered in that first game, Julio Rodriguez PERSON made a couple catches, but guard dogs, that central hype train is rolling, but it stops rolling here for a little bit. The Baltimore Orioles, they go bread game. It's been a bread life. A couple walk-offs from the birds, that top prospect middle infielder for the Orioles ORG, Jordan Westberg PERSON walk off to run home run. He's like your fourth Orioles ORG top prospect. And then your Orioles ORG stud catcher with the walk off in the final game, James McCann PERSON. So the birds come at you in differentways. Royals fans, some good news. Alec Marsh shoved in the middle game and Michael Garcia, along with obviously Bobby Whip, but Michael Garcia has been going off early on for them. Trev PERSON thinks this is a budding rivalry. Maybe we'll talk about that. Probably not a budding rivalry, but how about the Sox ORG kid? They round off their West Coast road trip by sweeping the Oakland Athletics ORG.They handled their bidsness. That's all you ask. They blow them out in the first game. The second to 11 innings in that middle game and then a 1-0 full pension Piv and the Sox ORG bullpen. Hold on. It got a little scary late.Chicken Strips was pitching well for Oakland ORG. J.J. Bladay and Landjolier PERSON with some homers. But the Sox, how about it? An early West Coast trip to start the year? We saw some Trevor PERSON story signs. Rafael PERSON, the kid, is making some highlight real plays for them. Jaron, my goodness. He's all over the box score. Sox ORG, they get the sweep and they're winning early on, and that's what happened in the American League ORG. Yeah, we had an earthquake. Was that an earthquake? That's what happened in the American League ORG. Yeah, we had an earthquake.

Speaker 31927.02s - 1928.1s

Was that an earthquake?

Speaker 21928.7s - 1930.02s

That's what everyone on Twitter ORG's saying.

Speaker 51930.68s - 1932.76s

That's nuts. I saw the camera shaking.

Speaker 31932.82s - 1934.56s

Dude, the building was shaking.

Speaker 51935.36s - 1936.26s

New York GPE has earthquakes.

Speaker 31936.26s - 1937.74s

And I went to Twitter ORG and everyone said,

Speaker 51937.94s - 1939.48s

whoa, New York City GPE earthquake.

Speaker 31940.48s - 1941.64s

Does New York GPE have earthquakes?

Speaker 21942.02s - 1943.9s

Maybe you got a pulse check from the office.

Speaker 51944.14s - 1946.24s

See the level of panic out there?

Speaker 31947.76s - 1949.26s

Like, what?

Speaker 51949.84s - 1956.3s

I want you to be safe, but like if you like fell over or something and like something toppled behind you, that's kind of cool for our show.

Speaker 31956.96s - 1958.1s

Dude, we were.

Speaker 51958.76s - 1959.66s

I saw it.

Speaker 21960.52s - 1961.92s

That's a little nutty, man.

Speaker 51961.96s - 1963.38s

I don't know if I felt that before.

Speaker 21963.5s - 1966.14s

Maddie Mass PERSON is in the room now are we fracking

Speaker 51966.14s - 1973.54s

an upstate new york or something are you okay mattie how's the office dude it was like

Speaker 21973.54s - 1980.64s

you can like when when this app comes out you'll i think you'll see it shaking whoa um

Speaker 31980.64s - 1986.42s

i kind of like that also what hurt me just Justin Pennick PERSON was in our live stream lounge,

Speaker 21986.48s - 1987.98s

which I can see out of the corner of my eye,

Speaker 31988.08s - 1991.46s

and he did like a big guy bolt. Like, big guy doesn't like this.

Speaker 21992.94s - 1994.6s

Imagine you dying in that outfit.

Speaker 51995.36s - 1996.74s

If I die in this fit,

Speaker 21997s - 2042.94s

I am Aaron Boone's PERSON favorite person. That's good news. Dude, earthquake eclipse? They would know who you are because you have your monogram on your... I would be easy to identify. So let's get away from that. Trev in the AL ORG, man, we gave this a little love in the midweek. We need to give it actually proper love now because we kind of didn't. Rono Blanco PERSON, no hitter.I know we, no hitters have been, they've been a little more prevalent that has taken a little bit of the punch out of them. But I'm not going to knock this dude, and he's got a cool story. And the Astros ORG in general, they kind of gave the Js the business in this series. So I'll let you go on that.

Speaker 52044.06s - 2083.62s

Yeah, first I love that this was Joe Espada's first manager win was a no hitter. They had to really get it done for this guy. I'm happy for him there. But Ronel Blanco PERSON is, yeah, it's just a great story. I think people probably have heard most of it by now because this did happen, you know, a little bit ago. But this guybackstory with him wasn't really going to make the team or even the roster get a couple of injuries you know Verland PERSON or Akiti so he ends up in the startingrotation I think he just had a baby a couple days before the season so he's kind of like riding that high

Speaker 02083.62s - 2103.56s

making the roster having a baby and then all of a sudden that high, making the roster, having a baby. And then all of a sudden you get here and the guy throws a no hitter on 105 pitches, almost has the Maddox, only walks George Springer PERSON twice. That was the only base runners he allowed. And just a masterful game. They were calling him Ronel Cambio Blanco because you start throwing that change up a lot more this year.

Speaker 42104.12s - 2109.26s

But this dude was an afterthought down there in the DR GPE.

Speaker 02109.68s - 2114.7s

He signed at 22 years old for $5,000 because a scout saw him when he was scouting

Speaker 42114.7s - 2115.76s

Julio Rodriguez PERSON.

Speaker 02116.62s - 2118.3s

I love those stories, right?

Speaker 52118.8s - 2130.54s

One, he was practicing baseball during that time. He was also working at a car wash, like to make ends meet. I just, I love stories like this. And Chris Rose PERSON asked me, like, what does this mean for him going forward?

Speaker 02130.64s - 2132.44s

Like, what does a note hitter do for you?

Speaker 42133.08s - 2134.3s

Chris Rose PERSON asked you that?

Speaker 02134.92s - 2135.28s

Of course.

Speaker 42135.86s - 2136.18s

Of course.

Speaker 22137.98s - 2139.78s

The worst best questions ever.

Speaker 42142.18s - 2143.18s

I'll tell you what it does.

Speaker 52143.24s - 2144.38s

It gives you opportunities, man.

Speaker 42144.38s - 2163.2s

Yeah. Like he's going to get an opportunity either to stay in the starting rotation for the Astros ORG, you know, he's going to have a few more starts here, obviously. And then, you know, when the injuries or the people come back from the injured list, like he'll have a spot because he's shown that he's been able to do it while making adjustments.

Speaker 52163.44s - 2194.22s

Like he's, I like that he's made meaningful adjustments and like reaping the rewards of that. So, I mean, the guy was, it was awesome to see and I'm happy for him. And 22 years old signing, that's like unheard of in the DR GPE. You're talking about guys that are typically signing much younger, 16 to 18 years old. This guy has just kind of like paid his dues and all of a sudden now we're getting the no hitter and man, like, look, he's in the record booksforever now and I love that for him.

Speaker 22194.96s - 2212.56s

He, uh, yeah, I mean, I was just, I was on a little bit of a, you know, Houston ORG's rotations, not what it looks like. We're always wondering, teams can't last forever. It's never happened. And here's, here's Ron El Blanco PERSON.

Speaker 52213.18s - 2215.24s

How many times have we said that about them? Like,

Speaker 22215.24s - 2227.72s

all of a sudden, Framber Valdez PERSON just showed up and was like, oh, here's their ace for the foreseeable future. Like, it's crazy, dude.Yeah. Yordon PERSON goes off in the final game.

Speaker 52228.38s - 2231.66s

Kyle Tucker's been going. These are your Houston Astros ORG.

Speaker 22231.66s - 2252.06s

I guess is there any Blue Jays ORG commentary that you want to add? They're currently three and four. I mean, they just, you know, they just played Houston ORG. The offense has been struggling a little bit. I don't know. I guess is, again, still very early in the season. Is there anything you're seeing or concerning?

Speaker 52253.28s - 2274.58s

I mean, yeah, the offense struggled this series for sure. And I mean, I don't think that's going to be the case over 162. A lot of people can bat me on that. I'm like, I think the Blue Jays ORG offense has a potential to be pretty damn good. And some people say, well, have you been watching the games? And I'll say to them, it's still very early on in the season.I do love that they snuck out one win. That means something.

Speaker 42275.72s - 2287.72s

Schneider with the two-run jack off a hater. And before that at bat, it was Justin Turner PERSON. I was watching this live. And Justin Turner was 0 for 10 with 5Ks against Hater PERSON. And he worked to walk.

Speaker 52287.76s - 2299.34s

I don't even think he swung the bat in that at bat. I think it was like a five-pitch walk. And he gets on and Hater hangs a slider to Schneider PERSON. And he hit the shit out of it, man. Babe Schneider PERSON.

Speaker 22299.84s - 2302.16s

So look, I mean, look, it's a bad series for them.

Speaker 52302.32s - 2307.94s

Is there a baseball term? You shut out twice, you get no hit, but you salvage one game, and I think you just keep it rolling.

Speaker 22308.12s - 2312.98s

Is there a baseball term for if you get a walk without swinging the bat?

Speaker 52313.1s - 2314.38s

Because I feel like we need that.

Speaker 22315.76s - 2316.68s

Just don't take.

Speaker 32316.92s - 2322.66s

The pedestrian walk? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I like it. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 22322.78s - 2367.32s

Blue Jays ORG, I guess here's what I'll say. The formula, one of the things I loved about the Blue Jays was their bullpen and two of the guys on the back end are Romano and Swanson, and they're both currently on the IL ORG. So that has changed their bullpen depth chart a lot. They got a hit. And, you know, after seven games, I'm not saying the Blue Jays ORG are going to hit this this year because I think they're going to.Uh, but that lineup does get a little thin on the back end. So, uh, I don't know. Let's see, Blue Jays at the Yankees ORG. I'll get a look at them in person today, Seattle GPE. And then, uh, let's check in. They get a little Colorado at home, uh, in about a week and a half.So that can, uh, that can help the stats a little bit.

Speaker 52367.48s - 2373.74s

How about Justin Turner casually hitting 318, 423, 636 for a one daughter? Who would have thought? Everybody.

Speaker 22373.96s - 2397.54s

Stay's hitting. Stays hitting. Travis PERSON, the other, well, we got a couple topics in the AL ORG. I guess, socks pitching. I think we might be talking about that a little later on.And there is the slightest Oakland A's ORG caveat here, but Boston ORG, that's the question.

Speaker 52397.96s - 2400.14s

Are we talking about the pitching later or now?

Speaker 22400.34s - 2407.02s

Let's talk about it later then. Okay. Do you want any A's ORG, well. Do you want any A's... Well, do you want any A's Sacramento talk?

Speaker 52408.14s - 2411.66s

I'm so confused on when we're talking about the Boston Red Sox ORG pitching.

Speaker 22412.54s - 2415.34s

Are you talking about it? Not later.

Speaker 52415.7s - 2417.16s

Okay, then let's talk about it now.

Speaker 22417.34s - 2419.14s

Okay. I was like, what are you talking?

Speaker 52419.34s - 2436.44s

I didn't think you were. I don't know. No, no, no. Oh, no. Well, dude, we both need to just... I think at least I do, need to say, I'm sorry. Okay.To the Boston Red Sox ORG pitching staff? Or like, I don't know what they say.

Speaker 22436.44s - 2437.92s

You're an Andrew Bailey PERSON guy now, right?

Speaker 42438.26s - 2443.1s

Well, I didn't, look, I think going into the season, you kind of looked at the rotation,

Speaker 52443.1s - 2481.74s

you got guys that definitely have stuff and could get the job done. But I think there was a lot of question marks in it. You know, like, yeah, Bayo PERSON's been a hell of a starter in his young career. But like, you know, we haven't seen him do it too often. And we've seen ups and downs from him. Same with Pavetta PERSON.We've seen this guy dominate. We've seen him get blown up. Like there's a lot of, there was a lot of variation, I believe, and how, you know, this season can gowith their starting rotation. You got, you know, a guy like Whitlock who's just been, you know, back and forth between the pen and starting. You know, I actually like Carter Crawford PERSON, watching a pitch. It's like kind of my nightmare. The way he throws the balls, like all turkey jerky.

Speaker 42481.74s - 2481.9s

Yeah.

Speaker 52483.62s - 2494.9s

But they've dominated this season. I mean, they've been incredible. I believe this is starting pitchers and relievers combined. They have a 154 ERA.

Speaker 22496.4s - 2502.9s

I mean, their third in starting pitcher ERA and their first in bullpenny R.A. right now. You're Boston Red Sox ORG, man.

Speaker 52503.26s - 2522.9s

They have a, I mean, they are crushing it.'re crushing it so so you know how is this getting done? Is this just a byproduct of who they're playing? Is it just an early season thing? Well I think you can maybe point to some of that but they do have a new pitching coach a guy coming over from the Giants ORG who really revamped the Giants pitching staff Andrew Bailey

Speaker 02524.4s - 2529.36s

kind of like widely renowned is one of the new kind of stars in that department.

Speaker 52530.02s - 2552.36s

And he's got some interesting kind of quotes and ideas about how to approach the game of pitching. He's, he had an interview, and he was talking about, like, relating pitching to boxing. He said, a lot of people will say, you're pitcher's best pitch is they're like a well-located fastball. He goes, I of people will say your pitcher's best pitch is they're like a well-located fastball. He goes, I don't necessarily know if that's true. He's equating a fastball to a jab.

Speaker 22552.98s - 2556.12s

And jabs have to be well-located, well-placed to do

Speaker 52556.12s - 2563.42s

damage. He goes to win a fight. You need haymakers. You need to throw your best pitch. And he's saying the haymakers are more like off-speed pitches. Okay.

Speaker 42563.54s - 2565.06s

Like your best off-speed pitch.

Speaker 02565.58s - 2571.22s

So it's using your fastball tactically to set up your haymakers essentially.

Speaker 52572.12s - 2619.22s

Now, I guess that's all kind of just like fun quote stuff to say, hey, let's throw off-speed a little bit more often because hitters have a problem with off-speed. But like it's really made a difference in the pitching staff. Like for instance, um, with Nick Povetta PERSON.Last year he threw his four seamer 50.6% of the time. This year he's throwing it 32.8% of the time. Because he's brought his sweeper up from 5.4% to 26.4% and his cutter from 17, or from 7.8% to 20.7%. So like we're using the pitches more tactically. So yeah, you can say he's just throwing more auspy pitches, but they have a plan behind it. It's not just like when Sunny Gray came over to the Yankees

Speaker 02619.22s - 2629.74s

and they said throw your slider more or your curb bowl more. No, this is like, hey, let's use it. Let's sequence it into it. It's not just throw it all the time. Let's like figure out ways to do it. So you have that example.

Speaker 52629.86s - 2695.76s

Cutter Crawford, I talked about before. Four Seamer last year, 39.1 percent. Four Seamer this year, 23.8 percent. He barely threw a sweeper at all last year, 6.8 percent. He's done that the most of any pitch, 36.9 percent. So the sweeper's been introduced and like this whole jab haymaker thing. I kind of like the analogy, to be honest with you. And it's really proven to be fruitful for the Red Sox early on the season. And I always say this.Like you can have improvements come and sometimes that's just baseball and you're just in a good spot and things are lining up for you but when you're making meaningful adjustments and those improvements and come those improvements come i think there's more staying power in that so andrew bailey's maybe going to have all of us eating crow this season maybe this maybe full pension piv ORG is finally going to win that sye young uh you know like they they the armed talent there. Now if they're like using their pitches differently and correctly, like this, this could be something to monitor.

Speaker 22697.06s - 2708.44s

Best K to walk ratio in the Biggs LOC right now. Hey, if the socks can pitch. Holy cow, the ALE East. Holy cow.

Speaker 52709.08s - 2719.24s

They got some, you know, like, stories healthy, so he's playing a better shortstop. Ceyton in Centerfield GPE has made some really good catches.

Speaker 02719.38s - 2722.14s

That helps your pitching staff, too. They got a guy that can go out there and get it.

Speaker 42722.5s - 2723.2s

Outfield defense.

Speaker 22723.2s - 2742.94s

I was calling for a gold glove for this guy. We're talking it up here, people. people the red socks are hot in the streets raphaela duran and uh o'neal in the outfield i talked about that a little bit and their offense hasn't gone yet like their their offense has been duran um and uh o'neal basically so

Speaker 52742.94s - 2760.6s

socks chrishton cossis PERSON is still out there just sunbathing. And I just, I, like, part of me wants to hate on it, but I just can't. This guy's just like, I'll do whatever I want to do. I'm going to go out and lay and soak in the sun and ground my feet on your grass.

Speaker 22761.12s - 2778.02s

Play good. Things take care of themselves. Orioles ORG have a new home run handlebar from your guy, Colervin PERSON? Do you need to look into that? Is that,is that you? That's what do you mean? Is that me? I mean, he's your guy. He's your fishing buddy.

Speaker 52778.74s - 2792.48s

I mean, I didn't tell Cole Irvin PERSON to get handlebars and to do the celebration. They always got something nutty up there. They're having fun in Baltimore. There's a bunch of freaking kids bawling out, dude. They're all like, we're all going to get paid very soon. do the celebration. They always got something nutty up there. They're having fun in Baltimore. There's a freaking kids bawling out, dude. They're all like, we're all going to get paid very soon.New ownership, let's go. Let's just have some fun. Their minor leagues are balling out.

Speaker 22792.6s - 2793.88s

They're hitting Big Boy runs.

Speaker 52794.12s - 2795.1s

Don't talk about minor leagues.

Speaker 22795.24s - 2798.36s

Couple walkoffs and, hey, Royal ORG fans.

Speaker 52798.36s - 2801.58s

Jackson Holiday and Paul Skeens PERSON are not ready for the big leagues people.

Speaker 22802.58s - 2803.12s

Royals ORG fans.

Speaker 52803.12s - 2807.74s

You got another Cole Reagan's PERSON nasty start, and I don't know.

Speaker 22808.46s - 2809.72s

Will Smith PERSON kind of blew.

Speaker 52810.1s - 2811.74s

Hey, you were in all these games, Royals ORG.

Speaker 22811.86s - 2817.44s

You were in all these games. Treve PERSON, we kind of got a juicy aisle, so let's get through that as well.

Speaker 52817.44s - 2819.5s

Shout out Guardians ORG for banging the ball around the park, though.

Speaker 22819.86s - 2821.5s

There'll be some guard dog love coming.

Speaker 52821.68s - 2821.96s

Okay.

Speaker 22823.4s - 2930.04s

They are banging the ball. Speaking of banging the ball, how about your New York Yankees ORG? They take two out of three from the snakes. Red games. Luis Hill PERSON, the young pitcher, got a fun little fastball. He has a nice first start.Anthony Volpey 4 for 4. Are you kidding me? Kid looks like jeats. Judge PERSON breaks out of his slump with a homer in the last game. Zach Gallen PERSON was nasty in that middle game. And they got some nice offensive performances.Christian Walker, Blaze Alexander PERSON. Extra innings in the last one, 11. Couple runs scored in each inning got kind of ugly. Game ended with Scott McGuff PERSON hitting. That's right. Reliever Scott McGuff PERSON had the last that bad in that final game. The Los Angeles Angels, they sweep the Marlins ORG.Okay, Halos PERSON, stay involved. Why not? Tyler Anderson PERSON with a big start. Mike Trout, two homer game, and the longest homer of the season. Holy cow. He pissed on one. And so did Taylor Ward in that last game. How about your guy Miguel Seno PERSON? With a couple hits, a couple runs scored in the office. Marlins ORG, uh-oh. And even worse news offthe field, Yuri Perez PERSON, T.J. See ya. How's my Side Young Draft? They don't care about that. They care about getting a win. Detroit Tigers and the New York Mets ORG. A lot of rain. They end up getting a doubleheader in Thursday and a couple extra inning games. Tigers ORG blow them out in extras the first game. Things are getting Metsie PERSON, but they get a win in that last game. Jose Butto PERSON? Budo PERSON?I think Budo PERSON.

Speaker 32930.34s - 2930.9s

Yeah, I bet.

Speaker 22931.4s - 2985.56s

Pete Alonzo PERSON homers to get it done. Tigers, they take two out of three out. Gio Orchella, the most happy fellow, Reese Olson PERSON, twirling the pill in that first game. Chicago White Sox and Braves, they played two. Again, Rain. Braves blew them out in the first one. Chicago White Sox and Braves, they played two. Again, rain.Braves blew him out in the first one. White Sox ORG, behind some nice pitching, you might hear about. They get the win in the second one. And then Brewers and Twins, they also split two. Twins and the Brewers ORG' perfect season. Louis Varland, your guy guy, Treb PERSON.Bryce Terang PERSON has been going nuts. We talked about him in the midweek. Alex Kirillow four-hit day. Ryan Jeffers, a four-R-B-I day in that last one. Tereo PERSON, my God, the young man, he gets his homer on the board. Two game splits, you know we hate that.So that's what happened in the aisle. Nice, puppy.

Speaker 52985.62s - 2987.5s

What are you drinking there? What kind of latte you got?

Speaker 22988.68s - 3017.12s

I've been on a... I've been mixing in Dunkin ORG a little more recently. I didn't really... I had some old Dunkin ORG points racked up, so I've been drinking Duncan PRODUCT for free, which is a nice way to drink any coffee. And I, uh, I had it an espresso shot, and I normally been going medium, but I got the large today because I'm going to the big house, going to the stadium. I got to be shot, and I normally have been going medium, but I got the large today, because I'm going to the big house, going to the stadium. I got to be on, you know? I'm a man of the people.I heard Paul O'Neill's got the first pitch, but he gets caught up in traffic.

Speaker 43017.78s - 3025.7s

Earthquake. Earthquake? Well, you know, I have media credentials, Trev PERSON, so. You're sitting in the press box?

Speaker 53025.74s - 3026.9s

I'm just going to cover the game.

Speaker 23028.24s - 3037.88s

Get my tweets out. Trev, I don't think Yank Snakes PERSON has a big topic. Yanks have just been hot. We kind of covered that early on.

Speaker 53038.08s - 3042.74s

Let me ask you a question on that, though, because we did get a Scott McGuff PERSON. The Storelli Bowl EVENT.

Speaker 23043.18s - 3045s

People are calling that. Okay. You got him batten there. It's because all these things happened. The Storelli Bowl EVENT. People are calling that. Okay.

Speaker 53045.24s - 3069.04s

You got him batten there. It's because all these things happened, Catelle-Marte shifts from D.H to second base. So they lose their D.H. Let me ask you this. Why not just put a pitcher in the outfield? And not lose your D.H. I guess does that mean anything? I wasn't watching this game. I don't know where they were at in the lineup, but to me that makes more sense than giving up your G8 PRODUCT.

Speaker 23069.04s - 3078.1s

It's an interesting question. If you have a pitcher that you think can, you more likely have a pitcher that can track fly balls than can get a hit.

Speaker 53079.12s - 3079.98s

Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 23080.4s - 3082.36s

I guess that guy will have to hit eventually too.

Speaker 53082.36s - 3084.58s

I don't know where in the lineup they are.

Speaker 23084.7s - 3089.26s

It was sixth in the lineup and it got to that spot, which is kind of tough.

Speaker 53089.38s - 3094.3s

But also, I don't know if you got a fly ball to the outfield and your pitcher looks bad or they get hurt.

Speaker 23094.44s - 3096.22s

You're getting questioned either way.

Speaker 53097.62s - 3098.06s

And I don't know.

Speaker 33098.46s - 3099.66s

Here's one thing I know about pitchers.

Speaker 53099.86s - 3100.9s

They can catch fly balls.

Speaker 23101.18s - 3103.02s

That's what they've done for a long time.

Speaker 53103.18s - 3103.84s

It's ShagbP.

Speaker 23104.02s - 3107.5s

I mean, they used to ShagbP. A lot of teams don't even... Whoever's most flexible.

Speaker 33107.82s - 3108.86s

No, it is, though, dude.

Speaker 23108.98s - 3110.6s

And I know you're not going to like this,

Speaker 33110.7s - 3117.38s

but taking a pitcher from off the bench, like, on an off day,

Speaker 23117.58s - 3125.5s

to you're going to be playing the outfields. Like, have they stretched? Like, what... I don't know. You're just, you're playing a little bit of a dangerous

Speaker 33125.5s - 3132.8s

game there either way and and it's soft it's soft it's soft i know it's soft for also my question is

Speaker 53132.8s - 3137.72s

scott mcuffa PERSON hitter like in college or something so why is it him we were researching live

Speaker 23137.72s - 3143.48s

so he was in the game pitching and then we were doing like oh who are they going to make hit um

Speaker 53143.48s - 3147.5s

and then i think someone found out he was like five for 13 in the minor, so it's kind of a

Speaker 23147.5s - 3157.02s

perfect storm. Trev PERSON, the hitter in you, if you saw the last pitch he was rung up on, I felt bad for Scott McGuff in the Story Ellie Bowl EVENT. It wasn't necessarily given a shot.

Speaker 33157.26s - 3157.48s

No.

Speaker 23158.56s - 3160.32s

He followed one off.

Speaker 33161.38s - 3172.62s

That's tough. Another thing, just part of that decision, like Marte PERSON goes to short. I think they didn't have like short stops and maybe they're prioritizing that. Having a real guy short.

Speaker 23172.62s - 3174s

There was an injury.

Speaker 33174.5s - 3190.34s

So it, you know, hands got forced a little bit. And Tori was out of the game already. Also after the game, we missed this a Yankee ORG fans, but there is a base open for judges double. And they were like, hey, Tori, should you have walked judge? He's like, yeah, probably. I've been thinking about that one.

Speaker 43192.6s - 3194.48s

Marlins ORG done or finished, you were saying?

Speaker 23196.4s - 3197.98s

Dude, it's actually depressed.

Speaker 53198.04s - 3304.3s

Go look at their baseball reference page. It's actually very depressing to look at, which I'm going to pull it up and out because I want to depress myself one sec. Oh. I think you need to give credit to the Angels ORG a little bit here for what they were able to do. Like they've had some really good starting pitching, um, come out. And I talked to Chris Rose about this a little bit. You know, after the second game of the season, they were 0 and 2. And Ron Washington PERSON, you know what he did? He called a little team meeting.Instead, we're putting a squash this right now, guys. Get over the two games. Let's go on. They've won four games since. They beat the birds, re-Detmers. I had a great start against the Orioles ORG,and then they went into Miami GPE and swept them. But if you're looking at Miami GPE, they have... Oh, my God. One person with an OPS plus over 85. they have oh my god one person with an OPS plus over85 offense ain't been going is Jake Berger PERSON who's decimated yes Jake Berger PERSON they've been decimated by starting pitching injuries the Yuri Perez PERSON news absolutelysucks dude because they've been very careful with him and they've tried innings limit starting pitching injuries. The Yuri Perez PERSON news absolutely sucks, dude, because they've been very careful with him and they've tried ending's limits and all these different things and it's still happening. I don't know what the solution is there for the TJ stuff, but, I mean, they're just like in a bad spot right now. You can't lose four starters out of your rotation and have your offense go cold and think you're going to win games. I mean, that's the recipe for 0 and 8. Plus you got too much talk in the media, man. Let's just stop talking to the media or like just go back to cliche stuff and findyour business, get it right, okay? Like things are just not good down there in South Florida LOC.

Speaker 23309.6s - 3313.86s

Yeah, like, I don't know. We do this a lot if if the Marlins ORG we're winning and they were talking to the media we wouldn't care it just does

Speaker 53313.86s - 3318.72s

feel weird when I would care this is nothing they're talking about it's stupid it's hey they

Speaker 23318.72s - 3324.18s

figure it out quick because two gamer at St. Louis FAC I don't know that is what it is

Speaker 53324.18s - 3326.02s

at the stadium for three and then they host the St. Louis, I don't know, that is what it is, at the stadium for

Speaker 23326.02s - 3344.84s

three, and then they host the Braves ORG. So like, I don't know. If you don't start figuring something out quick, we talk about having the good month and how that can anchor your season. The bad month can, I don't know. I don't know. This was a playoff team last year.

Speaker 53346.14s - 3348.64s

They've lost a lot since that.

Speaker 43349.94s - 3351.1s

Shout out the Angels ORG, though.

Speaker 53351.16s - 3352.74s

Your guy Taylor Ward PERSON, who you pointed out,

Speaker 43352.8s - 3354.06s

that's kind of like your guy

Speaker 23354.06s - 3357.2s

that could change things in that Angels ORG lineup.

Speaker 43357.42s - 3358.4s

He's been going off.

Speaker 23358.46s - 3359.96s

Obviously, Mike Trout PERSON's been going off.

Speaker 53360.06s - 3373.76s

Logan O'Hoppy PERSON's doing his thing. But, yeah, they begin some good pitching performances, man. Kind of excited about these halos. Man, that... I said they could be in contention. I said they can be in contention this year, and I actually meant it.

Speaker 23375.14s - 3385.04s

There's some stats out there that aren't pretty, but here they are. I think they're in first place. Your first place, Los Angeles GPE, Angeles. And they're teeing it up against the Boston Red Sox ORG, baby.

Speaker 53385.04s - 3404.26s

So let's, one of those teams is going to be feeling pretty damn good in a couple days, which both, I think, fan bases were skeptical. We've done a lot of central tigers and brewers are hot. I don't know if any of those are really topical, and I think we're highlighting some guys coming out.

Speaker 23404.26s - 3408.62s

I'm sick of the tigers already. They're too good. You're over it. Nice. Yeah, they're too good. I don't want

Speaker 53408.62s - 3419.42s

them challenging my twins for the sensual. You see, I know we can do this almost every year and every day, but did you see the Torkelson checks swing that they got called? Angel PERSON, my guy? Your guy,

Speaker 23419.46s - 3425.98s

Angel. That's tough. That's infuriating, man. It It's tough But the Tigers ORG have been a really fun watch

Speaker 53425.98s - 3426.78s

Um

Speaker 23426.78s - 3429.64s

And bullpen's absolutely nasty

Speaker 53429.64s - 3432.92s

Um Scoobl's been nasty

Speaker 23432.92s - 3445s

Like everything we kind of Here it is I was shocked Like I knew it was going to be bad Because it's Angel Hernandez ButOh Trev PERSON that's not even...

Speaker 53445s - 3446.46s

Did he say it was a foul ball or a swing?

Speaker 23446.96s - 3459.76s

They said it was a swing. Sheesh, bro. I mean, the bat... Pointed at you, dude. The bat doesn't come over the plate. That's insane.

Speaker 53461.12s - 3477.74s

That's insane. Oh, yeah, I mean, Tigers ORG had the sweep, and I don't know how Pete Alonzo hit that ball ball did you see the pitch new york metz baby we're back it's insane what he was able to do um yeah tigers are scaring me a little bit i gotta be honest with you okay

Speaker 23477.74s - 3502.96s

or no bullpen era is 059 or something at one point um i'm glad the Mets ORG got their dub. I know people, it's obviously an easy joke. I pull the joke sometimes. That's when 13 innings without a hit. It was awful weather. The double header, so the stands were empty. And then Jolly with a little optimism on Twitter, and then I think you kind of came back at them.

Speaker 53503.9s - 3518.76s

I said, get back in the box. Yeah, I was texting Jolly. I said, are you still in that box? Because you should be after they lost the first game. How about, like, they had a combined no hitter through what in that last game, like almost eight innings, seven innings?I met's went 13 without a hit.

Speaker 33519.08s - 3524.06s

Yeah, across a couple games. And then the no hitter in the second game was broken up in the eighth.

Speaker 53524.78s - 3531.62s

In the eighth, right? Okay. Did you see the hit? It was the second game was broken up in the eighth in the eighth right okay did you see the hit it was Bader PERSON like blooped one in to left field Mark Kana

Speaker 33531.62s - 3533.9s

Mark Kana PERSON's getting some

Speaker 53533.9s - 3534.62s

still a Met

Speaker 33534.62s - 3536.56s

getting some still a Met ORG allegations

Speaker 53536.56s - 3538.06s

no stop

Speaker 33538.06s - 3543.46s

absolutely not Mark Kana feels no affiliation to any team because he was a beloved Met

Speaker 53543.46s - 3557.02s

affiliated to himself, but I think you've got to die for that ball. Just, even if it's just a show dive. Maybe he was just trying to keep it in front of him because of the score.I don't know. Mark Cannon PERSON. We'll reach out.

Speaker 33557.02s - 3563.76s

One of, if there's like a cop between weird bad first step. I don't know. Okay. And the twins.

Speaker 23563.86s - 3564.54s

Got to start hitting the ball.

Speaker 53565.86s - 3569.94s

Brewers. Central. Trev PERSON, no, it's essential.

Speaker 23570.48s - 3638.3s

Traveling.

Speaker 33640.12s - 3641.38s

You go first.

Speaker 23641.66s - 3642.06s

Okay.

Speaker 53642.3s - 3642.86s

I like that.

Speaker 23642.9s - 3765.86s

I went first last time. That's better. I am giving some love to Sayah Suzuki PERSON. Sayah had a couple big days at the office. Wednesday he was three for five, a homer, four RBI. Six for 12, two homer, six RBI in the series versus Colorado ORG.And I know I've been throwing up Colorado ORG asteris myself. But I'm more so I just wanted to highlight SEA because Trev PERSON, we've done a lot on international players. We talked about them in the midweek. And then Sayah Suzuki, you know, when the baseball season's going on, you get these tidbits that kind of get stuck in your head.Remember Seah got like half benched for a week last year? Like just the Cubs ORG lineup was deep. They had a bunch of outfielders and they couldn't find a spot for SEA ORG. I think there was an injury or something happened a week later. Sayah PERSON ended up back in the lineup and he went nuts. That Sayah Suzuki last year, 138 games had a 285 batting average, a 357 on base, and an 842 OPS. Last season, that's a full sample size. He took a step up from his rookie year to that, and he's been balling this year that I saw a couple Cubs ORG people putting out, and it's one of my favorite phrase, because it's a phrase that gets ruined if you use it too much. it now, and it's one of my favorite phrase, because it's a phrase that gets ruined if you use it too much. But is Sayas Suzuki PERSON, one of the most underrated players in the game, and he's off to a hot start, 972 OPS on the season, obviously early. But like we talked about with these international guys, maybe they need a little more credit. Maybe it's not, are they clicking, are they not clicking? Sayah, you know, career 121 OPS plus since he's been in the show. So Sayah Suzuki PERSON, and part of these NL CentralCentral have more talent than maybe we're thinking. He's been bawling to start this young season, and I want to highlight that for the Cubbies while I'm wearing a Reds ORG jersey and a Yankees ORG hat.

Speaker 53766.76s - 3768.52s

I love that. Yeah. Good for you. Thank you.

Speaker 23770.98s - 3776.44s

You're just a man wears many hats? Yeah. Does that make any sense? Yeah. You know, I like watching say a play.

Speaker 53777.38s - 3798.42s

I like watching him hit. And I do believe, I don't know about the most underrated player. I don't know about that. I feel like he gets plenty of love. You know, sometimes you get overshadowed with the, you know, a couple international, you know, especially the guys coming over from Japan GPE,you know, this year, Yamamoto PERSON, a lot of talk about him, but say it's a huge part of what the Cubs ORG are trying to do. Yeah.

Speaker 23798.58s - 3800.58s

Like right in the middle of lineup, doing his thing.

Speaker 53800.58s - 3805.92s

And you're right, man. Like 121 OPS Plus is nothing to sneeze at in the major leagues.

Speaker 23806.36s - 3814.94s

No, and if he's, you know, we talk about players getting exposed or seen, and other times players get better, and if he's getting better.

Speaker 53815.72s - 3816.46s

He's getting better, yeah.

Speaker 23816.46s - 3817.96s

Where are you going?

Speaker 53818.1s - 3820.74s

The on-base percentage is something that I like to look at, you know,

Speaker 23820.82s - 3825.32s

with a guy who, you know, first couple years in the big leagues, you know,

Speaker 53825.36s - 3826.86s

what are you going to do there?

Speaker 23827.88s - 3850.46s

336, 357 last year, 379 right now. I think that's the best indicator of are you actually getting better? Your plate discipline is getting better. You're getting the pitches in the zone. You're getting your pitches that hit more often. And the slugging has gone up too.I mean, he is like literally getting better in all of the categories that's a good thing that's nice to see if you're a co ORG's

Speaker 53850.46s - 3858.08s

fan because he's locked up until when to 2028 yeah they gave him a contract listed at 511 no chance

Speaker 23858.08s - 3864.72s

right you're listed at 511 i want to know because i mean say is pretty like yeah but if you're

Speaker 53864.72s - 3866.6s

actually 511 you put six foot.

Speaker 23866.7s - 3867.8s

I'll send half the text.

Speaker 53869.22s - 3869.52s

Yeah.

Speaker 23870.18s - 3871.4s

How tall is Seya PERSON?

Speaker 53871.82s - 3872.36s

Hey, Happer PERSON.

Speaker 23873.62s - 3874.98s

Sayah listed...

Speaker 53874.98s - 3875.54s

511.

Speaker 23877.14s - 3877.68s

True?

Speaker 53877.98s - 3878.42s

Thoughts?

Speaker 23878.72s - 3879.28s

Thoughts.

Speaker 53880.66s - 3881.18s

Okay.

Speaker 23881.44s - 3882.34s

What do you got, Treb PERSON?

Speaker 53883.54s - 3895s

My standout performer is a guy who got drafted in 2020 and made his Major League debut in 2020, which is always fucking crazy to me because I spent a lot of time in the minor leagues.

Speaker 23895.5s - 3905.66s

Garrett Crochet against the Bravo. Sevenings pitch, three hits, one earned run, eight K's one walk. Now he's had two starts this year.

Speaker 53906.12s - 3929.34s

The first one against the Detroit Tigers ORG, he went six and he's pitched with one and run, eight strikeouts. So he's got back-to-back starts. He's got 13 innings pitched on the year, 16Ks, one walk, and he's only given up two earned runs. And against, like, you know, the Tiger's offense hasn't been great to start the year, but they're not like a, they're not the Rockies ORG. Yeah.

Speaker 23930.06s - 3933.84s

But then to do it against the Braves ORG is a whole different thing.

Speaker 53933.84s - 4034.22s

So I think it's cool, like, he wanted to be a starter. Chris Gatz PERSON, you know, was like, all right, open-minded enough to say, let's do it, let's approach this off-season, like, what's build you up?Let's see if you can be a starter. And now here he is looking like an ace. Like that's just, that's nice to find. And are we going to be seeing this more often with guys with high end arms? We're seeing Jordan Hicks do it and having success with the Giants ORG. Usually it's kind of like the other way. Like, hey man, like you didn't really work out as a reliever or a starter go to the bullpen it's really not often we see guysespecially with established bullpen arms he's been in the bullpen for a couple years Hicks PERSON has been in the bullpen for a couple years go back to being a starter I think that's very uniqueand he's been able to do it he hasn't necessarily changed much of the pitch usage. I think he did add a cutter in. But he's just kind of that guy. I mean, he's had all the armed talent in the world. Now he's just stretched out. And now it has me thinking, like, who else is going to do this? There are a lot of guys that throw cheese in these pens and they're nasty. Like, you know, I talked to Chriser before uh one of the dodger games i saw him down the field he's he's kind of like a roving instructor with the with the dodgers right now and we're talking about jordan hicks and he's like man what a genius contract for the giantsto do this with hicks so i believe he's making like something like 11 million dollars a year average and he goes think about it upside here he's a he's a he's a he's a he's making something like $11 million a year average. And he goes, think about it. Upside here, he's a two starter, you know, like a top end rotation starter.

Speaker 24034.46s - 4045.52s

You kind of said that. Not to flex, slight flex. You kind of said that like Archer PERSON. That's how Archer PERSON talks. He goes, you know, think about this. Upside?Yeah, you're right.

Speaker 54045.68s - 4067.82s

Two-star. I think I might have just, like, quoted him verbatim. I don't know. Love me some arch. So, upside is he's a two-starter, and you have him at $11 million a year. But worst case, you send him back to the bullpen. He's a high-leverger leverger lever, making $11 million a year. Yeah. Like, kind of like, are teams going to be following this model a little bit more?Like, why not?

Speaker 24068.24s - 4073.52s

Earthquake. What happened?

Speaker 54074.32s - 4081.66s

They just did one of those like emergency alert phone things about the earthquake from 30 minutes ago, which I don't, who's that helping?

Speaker 24082.5s - 4084.4s

I don't know they do that for earthquakes.

Speaker 54084.8s - 4088.1s

Yeah, I don't know if we want to mark it down for a midweek episode or something,

Speaker 34088.2s - 4092.72s

but I've been changing my thoughts just on the whole starting pitching world.

Speaker 04092.96s - 4096.96s

And I know that was a big topic, and it's how do we get back to that?

Speaker 54097s - 4100.26s

And it's not fully flushed out, but I don't know, man.

Speaker 34100.26s - 4101.54s

Like you mentioned Jordan Hicks PERSON.

Speaker 24101.58s - 4125.46s

When you see Garrett Crochet PERSON doing this, it's like it kind of feels like we've been giving up on guys too early to be starters because going to the bullpen is also a win just like you laid out with jordan hicks like hey if you go out and you get out there you can make a fine career of that but um i don't know starting pitchers are still that's the ticket that's what that's what gets people in the ballpark, so I don't know.

Speaker 54126.02s - 4126.06s

We are going to be,

Speaker 24126.58s - 4127.38s

this is my, my, my, uh,

Speaker 54127.44s - 4130.68s

my look into my crystal ball into the future, okay?

Speaker 34132.58s - 4133.84s

Everyone's going to be the same.

Speaker 54135.22s - 4194.16s

It is not going to be starters. It's not going to be the years. You're just a pitcher. You're a multi-inning pitcher. Maybe we have the rare occasion. I'm talking maybe like, you know, five, six years in the future. I think teams are going to start thinking like this is what I'm saying. Everyone's just a multi-inning pitcher. Some guys may prove to be, you know, a little bit longer than that. You know, but I think those guys are kind of a dying breed. So maybe we'll have some guys still trying to go six, seven. But I think we're going to have a whole team full of guys that can go three or four innings pitched. And then maybe we have a couple high end relievers still to come shut the game down at the end because I do believe that still is a different animal. I believe ending the game is still different. Talk to any pitcher. They'll tell you the same damn thing. So my belief is we're going to see more of those guys where it's just like, you're just a pitcher. Like starting pitching is kind of going to be out. And we'll have like eight guys in our eight of the 13 that can just throw like three or four innings.

Speaker 24194.6s - 4205.76s

Yeah, I've messed around with this like theory. I think you're still going to need starting pitchers that can go because that can reset everyone

Speaker 34205.76s - 4211.44s

like that's one of the that's kind of one of the key things to guys um but yeah i think i think bullpen

Speaker 04211.44s - 4227.58s

if you're an edwin dyes or a hater and you're going to give us that one inning we can do that if you're everyone else you better be able to go three and i it's kind of funny like all the analytics and stuff we had to baseball, that's kind of what baseball was.

Speaker 24228.54s - 4249.72s

Like it was a closer and a setup, man. And then if you were someone else in the bullpen, it was like, be ready to throw. And all the starters were ready to go a buck 10 and nine innings if you need it. So I think it's funny that we're probably going to progress back to that with all the numbers and nerds that got involved in the game.

Speaker 54251s - 4268.76s

I think we're... Sorry, nerds. I feel like starters were trying to go seven, eight innings every single time they were on the mound back in the day. I think we're not getting going back to that. I think everyone is going to want to pitch three innings, three or four innings.

Speaker 04270.22s - 4284.64s

And then teams can, it's a way for teams to mitigate cost too. It's like, right. Like it all kind of like makes sense. Like in the future, this is the way we're going to go. And maybe that's the path to like not having so many arm injuries. I don't know, man.

Speaker 54285.1s - 4285.88s

It's a discussion.

Speaker 24285.88s - 4286.98s

Just thinking out loud here.

Speaker 54287.08s - 4288.96s

Maybe another one for another day.

Speaker 24289.36s - 4292.32s

Hey, why didn't Zach Gallen shoved against the Yank PERSON?

Speaker 54292.42s - 4293.68s

Kirolov PERSON went nuts.

Speaker 24293.68s - 4295.86s

Zagallin PERSON is the most underrated player in baseball.

Speaker 54295.98s - 4298.02s

Hey, and Jose Ramirez PERSON share that title, okay?

Speaker 24298.76s - 4311.32s

Awesome. Hi, why aren't you talking about Austin Riley and Jaron? Hey, there's a lot of stud players that had big weekends, but talking baseball is maybe most electric part of each episode.

Speaker 14313.82s - 4322.2s

That means I'm on fire, baby. Like Waco GPE. Treb PERSON? That's hilarious.

Speaker 54322.36s - 4395.84s

All right, we're going to start up with this series. You spoke about this man, this big, beautiful man. Jorge Saler, against the Dodgers ORG. You went five for ten, a double, two homers, three ribbies for a 500 batting average. That's what five for ten is. Nice, nice math there.Jaron, nine for fourteen. That boy, fella. Two ribbyes, three runs, four stolen bases. Okay. Jake, what's nine for 14? What's the average there?Just do it in your head. That's also 500. Yep, crushed it. 750. Brendan Donovan PERSON, six for 10, a double a homer, two ribby's five runs. Two hit by pitches for a 600 average in the series. For the week, this is the one you want to be on, people. Bobby Witt PERSON. Our freaking guy. My, you asked who was going to, I was DMing on Instagram. It's Bobby Witt all the time. And he responds to me. So thank you, Bobby PERSON, for making an old man feel cool. 12 for 28. Five doubles, a triple, two homers. Only two ribbies. Two stolen bases, three walks.Garrow Crochet PERSON just talked about him, man. 13nings pitched. One walk, 16Ks. How about this guy? Who is this guy? New York Yankees reliever Ian Hamilton PERSON?

Speaker 24397.28s - 4398.16s

Is he good?

Speaker 54398.54s - 4400.2s

Might be asked to do a lot more

Speaker 24400.2s - 4402.32s

because Johnny Lou Isaaca PERSON just got hurt.

Speaker 54402.5s - 4427.68s

But yeah, he's... Five and two-thirds and three games pitched only one hit, seven-kays, no walks, me like you that, Poppy PERSON. When you get the Kays and no walks, that gets my thing moving a little bit. Speaking of moving, Cade Smith, Cleveland ORG reliever. Four and a third innings pitched, one hit.Nine K's and only two walks. And that, my friends, is who is in Fuego. I love it, Trev PERSON.

Speaker 24427.78s - 4474.92s

Good for Soler PERSON getting out of the gates. And Bobby Wood Jr. PERSON, man, during that Sayah PERSON talk, we talked about getting better. Bobby Witt last year, 30 homers, 49 stolen bases, an 813 OPS,and a big second half. Picture all the, picture those numbers ticking up. I mean, that's 35 homer, 60 steals. Like I, you know, we're getting into a Cunia territory with a shortstop. So, uh, I'll drink that Bobby Wood Cullet. I'm glad he responds to you, man. That's, uh, that's nice. That's nice. It is nice. Slump watch, not happening yet. Not sure if it's going to happen at all. I did see some big ofer numbers out there. I won't throw anyone under the bus, Chris Bryant PERSON.

Speaker 54476.6s - 4487.48s

Rendon. Anthony Rendon PERSON? Rendon's been getting cooked. What's going on with this guy? I try to defend him in the off season. I don't know. I thought Ron Washington PERSON was going to light a fire.

Speaker 24488.16s - 4496.82s

Anti-fire. Some of the, like, Shenoul PERSON was in college since his last hit or something. The non-Peadmancer.

Speaker 34496.82s - 4498.62s

I think his last year was July 4th.

Speaker 24499.38s - 4500.9s

Is that true? America GPE.

Speaker 34501.1s - 4505.46s

I missed a lot of time. I do think the I.L.

Speaker 24505.46s - 4533.88s

is an unfortunately important segment, even though it's my least favorite segment so far. Al Thomas PERSON for my snakes. He gets banged up. Corby and Carroll PERSON sliding over to center. Josh Young PERSON, like I mentioned.Big piece missing on the hot corner for Texas ORG. Jason Hayward for the Dodgers ORG. See some other veterans getting playing time for them. Both McGills PERSON? Tyler and Trevor McGill PERSON.

Speaker 54534.76s - 4536.44s

That's tough, man.

Speaker 44536.44s - 4538.4s

Mom McGill PERSON is not happy about that.

Speaker 24538.96s - 4541.26s

Their family is bummed.

Speaker 54542.26s - 4544.32s

Matt Carpenter PERSON, we don't like that,

Speaker 44544.38s - 4547.08s

and Victor Robles for the Natanels ORG.

Speaker 54548.4s - 4550.14s

So that's kind of,

Speaker 44550.24s - 4552.2s

and like I just mentioned, Jonathan Loisiga PERSON,

Speaker 24552.42s - 4558.48s

Yankee's set up man this morning. He's a right flexor strain, which could mean a chunk of time.

Speaker 34558.48s - 4561.14s

You see the Boone PERSON quotes on it?

Speaker 24561.48s - 4564.9s

He says very concerns. Certain things that's significant.

Speaker 34565.52s - 4566.44s

That's usually, and the MRI. Yan PERSON said significant. He says significant. That's usually...

Speaker 24566.44s - 4569.48s

In the MRI. Yankee ORG code for a bad time.

Speaker 34569.76s - 4570.9s

Immediate 60 day.

Speaker 24571.14s - 4575.36s

I will tell you our talking baseball code for a good time.

Speaker 34576.92s - 4577.4s

Awards.

Speaker 24579.32s - 4581.46s

I mean, Rocky's opening day.

Speaker 34581.66s - 4583.3s

Kelsey Winger Awards.

Speaker 24583.3s - 4587.22s

And what could be better than MLB ORG 9 innings?

Speaker 44587.58s - 4589s

You're watching baseball.

Speaker 24590.02s - 4644.4s

You might as well be playing baseball in the palm of your hands with MLB ORG 9 innings. Wide variety of game modes, from league mode to live PVP, over 2,000 player cards to collect. You know they got some of the historical guys in there. Bob Gibson, hello, Eddie Murray, switch hitting, Dennis Eckersley, and Mo Rivera PERSON to shut down the game. If you need that true nine innings. Download and play MLB 9 innings 24 today with the link in the description.Give it a look. If you like baseball, which you're currently listening to talking baseball, there's a chance that you're going to like MLB 9 LAW inning. So go download it today. I will bat lead off as Trev PERSON dished that off before. And you were out of the screen for a second. So I'm going to do my award. Fine.

Speaker 54644.5s - 4645.18s

I was ready, though. I'm going to do my award. Fine, I was ready, though.

Speaker 24645.68s - 4788.88s

I'm going to do the waiting for the next single award. It's going to a pitcher, but it's encompassing some hitting that was referenced earlier as well. And because I'm waiting for the next single from my guy, Justin Bieber PERSON. Like, when's the next track? I need the next Beaver summer hit. Meanwhile, Shane Bieber, two games started, 12 innings pitched, how zero earn runs in Trev PERSON. I had to double check this. 20 strikeouts from Shane Bieber PERSON. And just a reminder, what's something we love here at talking baseball. We loves a contract year. Oh, walk year, baby.So Shane Bieber, Cy Young PERSON, in the bag, and he's come out two starts, zero earn runs, 20Ks, and 12 innings. So I wanted to highlight the beeps, because, you know, he can be a star in this game and one of the best pitchers, and we talk about Cleveland ORG pitching a lot. We love a contract year. And he's been waiting on the bench because he's been watching his team hit some singles and a lot more. The guard dogs have been bopping trep. Is there a little A's ORG asterisk? Yes. Does there need to be an A's Mariners asterisk?Because the Guardians and the Red Sox ORG, who have played both of those teams, have been lightened up from both sides of the ball. I don't care about that yet. I care about what you've been doing. And the Cleveland Guardians third in runs so far this year. How about that? So a shout out to Shane Bieber PERSON highlighting him and Guard Dogs fans. I did want to give you some love. Quan Jimenez and Ramirez PERSON have been going off. That's the top of their lineup. And then they've been getting some games from different guys. Tyler Freeman filling in, Rokio, Bo Naler. So the Guard Dogs, who had a really tough offensive season last yearand then they shut down all their pitchers. Shane Bieber PERSON is back in shoving. That's a guy we thought about they were going to trade a lot because of his contract year. So the guard dogs getting it done on both sides and give me that just, when that Justin Bieber summer jam hits, man.I mean, that's just different. He's just that guy. I can't wait, man. I mean, that's just different. He's just that guy. I can't wait for summer.

Speaker 54789.08s - 4790.36s

I got a nice tan.

Speaker 24790.46s - 4802.52s

The body's like not exactly where I want it to be, but I have been hitting the gym a couple days in a row. I'm getting back into it, pop. Shane Bieber PERSON made, I'm an adjustment guy. Made some adjustments. Last year got crushed by lefties.

Speaker 04803.04s - 4805.26s

So, you know, how do I fix that?

Speaker 44805.36s - 4807.68s

Well, he started throwing his change-up a lot more.

Speaker 04807.76s - 4808.86s

He's a drive-line guy.

Speaker 44808.94s - 4809.92s

Went there this off season,

Speaker 04810.12s - 4814.52s

ticked up his fastball velocity a little bit. But the pitch usage has been interesting.

Speaker 54816.22s - 4868.96s

He's actually throwing more four-seemers, 35% last year, 41% this year. The big thing is the change-up. Went from three-and-a-half, basically like non-existent last year. He started at 13% of the time. So he's using it to get those lefties out. And theslider changed a little bit. That's gone up from 20% to 24%. Cutters, kind of the pitch that's taking the biggest hit. So I like when guys go and they have a plan. Okay, this is what's going wrong. How do I fix that? What's the equalizer for our lefty is to change up?He goes, starts throwing that more and he's had success. The strikeouts are up. He's looked dominant. Whether he's there all year or not, it is yet to be seen. But it is nice to see him back. I like, I mean, he's a pitcher, man. Like, it's nice to see that. And shout out Stephen PERSON vote.Is vote the reason these guys are winning?

Speaker 14869.26s - 4869.8s

Uh-oh.

Speaker 44872.32s - 4873.22s

I like that, though.

Speaker 54873.22s - 4879.2s

I do like Shane Bieber PERSON. Santa Barbara Goucho PERSON, right? Ooh, I can double check. Hold.

Speaker 24879.3s - 4886.64s

Pretty sure. I'll give it to you for now. Yeah. Er, wait. Yeah, Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara. Santa now. Yeah. Or wait. Yeah, Santa Barbara GPE.Santa Barbara GPE.

Speaker 54886.84s - 4887.84s

Okay.

Speaker 24889.18s - 4890.08s

Where are you going, Treb PERSON?

Speaker 54893.64s - 4919.82s

My award is called Slang That Dang. Award. Okay. And it's funny. You know, like I coach, you know, a youth team. And I hear these kids talking and all the things they're saying.I think the biggest word that, like, young boys say, this, like right now is bruh. It's bruh everything. I was on my, I was on the phone with my good friend, Ollie Linton, a CA ORG agent.

Speaker 44921.96s - 4923.34s

He said he talked to you a little bit.

Speaker 54924.6s - 4944s

So he shot you a text. And we were talking about kids. And I was asking how his kids are. He's like, man, like, he's like, I think I'm a good dad, but I'm, I think I'm more like just an older brother. And I'm like, what do you mean? He's like, well, I kind of travel a lot right now.So when I get home, like, I just want to do all the fun things with my kids. He's like, so I just like play video games with them.

Speaker 04944.06s - 4947.7s

We like watch movies together. He's like, I'm like like play video games with them. We like watch movies together. He's like, I'm like a cool older brother.

Speaker 54947.7s - 4984.88s

And he goes, and they just don't really respect me at all. Right. And I'm like, what do you mean? He goes, well, my, his youngest son, his name Zion. And he said, he goes, Z baby doesn't even call me dad. He calls me Ollie PERSON.So he said, I'll come home, But hey, Ollie PERSON, what's up? He's like, I don't really know what to say to this kid. You know, okay? And then he's like, you know, and then Kingston is his other son. And yes, Ollie is Jamaican. So Kingston is balling out playing some balls. So I was like, how's that going? He doesn't listen to me at all. I was like, I had the same thing with Teddy PERSON. Teddy PERSON does not want to take really instruction from me.

Speaker 44984.9s - 4988.08s

Right. And he says, Kingston is always saying,

Speaker 54988.58s - 4994.66s

Dad, you're doing too much. Dad, you're doing too much. Pause. And I'm like, how old is he?

Speaker 34994.74s - 5001.1s

What is he talking like? Pause is crazy. It's all pause or bet. And I'm like, oh man,

Speaker 55001.54s - 5019.18s

because Teddy PERSON says that to me all the time. Bro, okay, bet, bet, bet. So I've been hearing that a lot lately. You know who else's been hearing bet, bet, bet a lot lately? That freaking major league offensive leaderboard.

Speaker 05027.84s - 5033.12s

It's littered with bets, just like these youth out there saying, bet, bet, bet, bet. Major league offensive leaderboard is littered with bets. This dude,

Speaker 45033.24s - 5038.08s

Mookiee PERSON bets, what are we doing, people? If you aren't

Speaker 05038.08s - 5041.34s

paying attention to this, please pay attention, okay?

Speaker 25042.28s - 5046.26s

Mookie PERSON leads all of baseball and wins above

Speaker 05046.26s - 5048.18s

replacement. This guy's played nine games.

Speaker 55048.96s - 5056.34s

Baseball reference has enlisted at one and a half war. Kyle Schwaber had 1.4 war all last year.

Speaker 45057.8s - 5060.76s

Think about that. Through nine games, right?

Speaker 55061.48s - 5088.02s

Okay. He leads in batting average at 485. He leads it on base percentage at 595. He leads at slugging at 1.091, which means, of course, he leads in OPS at 1.6. He leads in plate appearances, runs scored, hits, total bases, home runs, RBIs, walks walks just down the list

Speaker 45088.02s - 5090.26s

all mind you

Speaker 55090.26s - 5189.94s

while playing middle infield mostly shortstop spent 10 years as an outfielder winning gold gloves now he just switched over so that's really impressive to me the offensive stuff like the home run he hit off Logan Webb is crazy Logan Webb PERSON is crazy.Logan Webb PERSON doesn't give up homers, especially on a pitch down in the zone like that. Mookie PERSON can do whatever he wants. And I think that's kind of where I want to end my award is people think this is so easy for Mookie PERSON. And maybe it is easier for him than it is for a lot of different people. But he came out and said, look, shortstop is not easy. and it's not going to be easy and i did see him pregame working with miggie row PERSON out there taking ground balls trying to get better at a new positionwhere i know he's going to floor she's already doing it offensively that's the the leaderboard littered with bets is kind of what i wanted to go with here but this guy is putting the work in to be a star shortstop at the big league level after playing 10 seasons in the outfield. It is unheard of. Please pay attention to what this guy is doing. I think he's going to win the NL ORG MVP because of what he's doing. And oh yeah. By the way, after he was out there early taking ground balls, this is Mokey Betts PERSON, mind you. A superstar in L.A. He came over to the people that were on the field for batting practice and signed and took pictureswith every single one. He even stopped and said, hey, did you get one? Is everyone good here? Before he went back into the dugout. This guy is a superstarin every single possible way you could use the word. And I just want people to make sure they're paying attention to this guy. Bet, bro.

Speaker 25191.84s - 5289.46s

Yeah, that's a, I, there is a clip I did on Waken Jake WORK_OF_ART that got a decent amount of run. And you can just see how twisted up I am because I'm rooting for Mookie Betts always. He's a generational ball player. He's awesome. He's Marcus Lin PERSON-Bets MLB, right? He's over 30 playing shortstop for the first time and that's almost that's almost something sacred in its own right. Like you don't do that. You don't do that. I've completely flipped on it because I want Mookie PERSON to succeed. And I think he's going to. And like you said, he might do more than that.He might win the MVP. And this is, I'm not doing this for a clip, and we won't clip this part. But if he does this, Trev, if Mookie Betz has an MVP WORK_OF_ART-esque type season from shortstop at his age and he keeps this rolling, like, he's, he has an argument for one of, like, best ball player all time.Yes. And that's kind of eye-opening. Because it's, yeah, it's Mookie PERSON bets, he's good, MVP, and, you know, great right fielder and all this, when you start mixing in shortstop and second base, and I don't know, you know, we do our all-JM team and we have the util spot. You know, maybe the easiest cop out of all time if Mooky PERSON keeps us up is like, if you'rebuilding an MLB team and you have a util spot, Mooky PERSON gets that. I don't know, man. He's doing things that haven't been done.

Speaker 55290.56s - 5309.5s

I think this could go down if he continues this pace and wins the MVP WORK_OF_ART. I mean, obviously, he's not going to 1.6 sit, but, you know, he has a career year offensively while moving to shortstop full time or middle infield. He's going to play second base when McGee Row PERSON play short or whatever.

Speaker 45309.94s - 5314.36s

Mostly shortstop. It's going to go down as one of the most impressive seasons that we've ever seen in this sport.

Speaker 55314.96s - 5335.26s

Being able to do that. And I really, really mean it. Talk to people that have played the game how hard shortstop is. And to do it at his age after not doing it for so longand still playing offensively the way he's been playing, it's going to go down is one of the most impressive seasons we've ever seen in the game. I think this is one of the most impressive episodes we've

Speaker 25335.26s - 5350.96s

ever had. I also, we love baseball guys. John Boy Media just tweeted it out. J.J. Hardy PERSON causing drama in Chandler, Arizona GPE because he's building a baseball field in his backyard, and it's a two-minute local news clip. And that's just awesome.

Speaker 55351.64s - 5353.86s

I love J.J. Hardy PERSON so much.

Speaker 25353.86s - 5354.82s

That's just awesome.

Speaker 15354.9s - 5357.04s

JJ PERSON, I want to come take ground balls to you.

Speaker 25357.46s - 5359.62s

Let's turn some just for old times.

Speaker 15359.82s - 5360.86s

Oh, the boys.

Speaker 25361.16s - 5361.8s

A little, hey.

Speaker 45362.66s - 5364s

A little, you know,

Speaker 25364.22s - 5365.44s

coming across the bag. A couple average. A little, uh, you know, coming across the bag.

Speaker 55366.16s - 5367.16s

A couple average white,

Speaker 25367.52s - 5369.42s

Speaker 55369.62s - 5370.82s

Okay. Okay.

Speaker 25371.42s - 5371.66s

Speaker 55371.66s - 5372.54s

Speaker 25373.4s - 5374.36s

Speaker 55374.82s - 5375.76s

Speaker 25398.7s - 5400.72s

Speaker 55401.28s - 5402.48s

Speaker 25402.56s - 5404.34s
