It's going on, Jerome PERSON. So Minnesota-Defined Vikings general manager, Quasiido Femza PERSON, was entering his third draft as general manager of the Vikings ORG, and he did the damn thing, man. The acquisition of J.J. McCarthy, the going up and getting Dallas Turner. So you have two 21-year-old emerging stars at two very key positions, and Quasi PERSON has indeed been cooking during this draft. And frankly, this entire offseason. Now, I feel like Quacy, so he's got some hits. He's had some big-time misses. And I feel like this was a very important offseason for him and Kevin O'Connell as they completely turned the page because when Quacy came in, replaced him Pritay, Rike Spilman PERSON,it was a bit of a gamble for the Vikings because Quasi, not a traditional NFL ORG background, came in through R&D as opposed to a scouting background. He wasn't a football guy, that old thing, a former Wall Street dude. And it's quite a departure. And Kevin O'Connell, Quasi Dofamensa, building a new culture around the Vikings ORG. Not a fear-driven organization. All that stuff. And 2022, so first draft class, work in progress, right? So, Lewasine PERSON obviously broke his leg, didn't quite work out. So far, Booth Jr., and Evans have shown promise, but we'll see Ed Ingram PERSON. Hopefully he can make a leap in year three. Asima PERSON could be something if he could stay healthy. And Ty Chandler PERSON's finally getting a chance. And Jalen Naylor PERSON can't stay healthy either. So the 2022 draft class, Quasi PERSON's initial draft, maybe not so much. But in season, picking up T.J. Hawkinson, who's a top three tight end in the league and he's not three. If and when he does get healthy. Well, not even if when he gets healthy. That's right. But, you know, Coise PERSON's had some bad missteps in free agency as well. 13 million to Marcus Davenport PERSON, basically a million bucks per snap. It's not true, but it seems pretty close, doesn't it? But last year, in the draft, hitting on a couple of picks, Jordan Addison 23, Mackay Blackman in the third round.Of course, two great UDFAs and Ivan Pace Jr., who's an emerging star in the Vikings middle of the defense, as well as Najee Thompson, is going to be our generation's Matthew Slater PERSON. He loved to see that, man. And then this offseason, you know, the stare-down and decision with Kurt Cousins, as well as the decision with DeNeal Hunter PERSON. Now, both of them left without compensation. Yeah, the Vikings ORG might get a comp pick next year, but again, that is a risk. That is a gamble. Butthe Vikings and Quasi PERSON had a phenomenal free agent class with Grenard, Van Ginkle, cashman outside. How about that? A.A. Ron Jones PERSON coming across the river to the good side. And Quasi PERSON and Rob Zinsky have done an amazing job freeing up cap space, 100 plus million in 2025, to facilitate front-loaded deals for Justin Friggin Jefferson PERSON,which by all signs is going to get done this offseason, and of course, Jets contacting new quarterback J.J. McCarthy PERSON, and it's a pretty good sign that he's going to be around long term, as well as paying Christian Darrasaw PERSON. And for the first round, when the Vikings did land J.J. McCarthy at 10, as well as Dallas Turner, you feel like Quacey has learned. And so the first draft, when Quacey traded down from 12 to 22 to 32, yes, he didn't get the lion's first round pick, and yes, trading in division, and yes, passing on Kyle Hamilton PERSON, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It felt like he was just figuring things out, right? And then last year, sticking and picking at 23, getting Addison PERSON, there have been some rumors that they wanted to move up for a quarterback. But what Quasi PERSON did this draft, you really have to respect. And he didn't panic. He didn't overpay. He got his guy twice. That's what he did. So it would have been easy for Quasi to panic after Williams, Daniels, May PERSON, went one, two, three in the draft. It'd be like, oh, well, if May is there at three, should we pay the three first round picks plus? Do we go get it? I feel like if Quasi had been in his first draft, he might have, right? And sure, would have been fine. It may hits?Yes, the cost is the cost. But also when it went QB, QB, QB, QB, I think first year, Quasi, maybe even second year Quasi would have panicked and traded up with the Cardinals ORG, giving up heaven and earth, or five with the Chargers, giving up whatever they wanted to go get McCarthy PERSON. But he didn't. He kept his powder dry.He trusted the board. He wanted to hang on to 23 because he knew that was a valuable chip as well as that future first rounder. Then he let picks come off. And he called the Giants ORG bluff of them being interested in a quarterback. They went with Malik PERSON neighbors. And then he survived a curveball, didn't swing, when Pennix went to the Falcons ORG.Now, when Pennix going to the Falcons, could have been a spot where he would have paid through the nose to get to nine with the bears and enrich a divisional rival. I mean, maybe, but maybe not. And yes, he did trade up from 11 to 10, but giving up, you know, the four and the five, don't care. Do not care at all, especially since the Vikings ORG had a surplus of day three selections. But getting your guy in J.J. McCarthy, again, well, he's quarterback five. This is not your normal quarterback class, bro. It isn't. And J.J. McCarthy PERSON is perhaps the quarterbackin this draft, the best fits what Kevin O'Connell wants to do long term. And the fact that the Vikings have great infrastructure, great coaching, great talent around McCarthy PERSON. And also, they're not going to be pressed to put him in the game before he's ready to rock and roll. It's the best possible spot for McCarthy PERSON, who gets time to grow and show. And it's the best possible spot for the Vikings who, I mean, Williams is going to have to start day one. Same thing with Daniels PERSON.Same thing with Drake May PERSON. Probably same thing with Bo Nix PERSON. But we'll see. But again, be impatient and trusting your board and letting the draft come to you as opposed to just panicking. I think that showed a lot of maturity for Quasi PERSON.And you love to see it in year three. And he has absolutely been wheeling and dealing. And then when the Vikings had a chance to get Dallas Turner so that made a deal with Jaguars with the future third with the future fourth which you know I understand the apprehension because the Vikings did not have a day two selection this year they won't have a day two selection next year although they are projected to have a third round comp pick. But at the end of the day, F them picks, right? You went up and got your guys. You got your quarterback of the future who's best suited for what KevinO'Conn wants to do. And you got probably the best pure pass rusher in this class in Dallas Turner. And you didn't wait at 23. You didn't like, oh, well, hopefully Dallas Turner gets here. Otherwise, we'll take Jared versus Chop Robinson PERSON or whatever. No, he's like, hey, this is the guy that we want. This is the guy that's going to fit in what Flores PERSON does best. This is the guy that we had in for a 30 visit, and we vibed with, and we absolutely loved and wanted him here. And we went and got him, right? And, of course, you know, Kevin O'Connell's PERSON expression, really? When Quasi went up and got Turner PERSON, it's just like, even he was shocked. Even he was shocked by Quacy absolutely stunting on them hose in this draft. And even the harshest Quacy critics, they have to give him credit. Because, well, what if McCarthy and what if Turner PERSON don't work out? What of it? What of it? What of it? That could happen every single pick, every single draft. But at the end of the day, it's about process. And the Vikings ORG, they didn't overpay. They didn't give up future first. They didn't give up the 23 to go up and get your quarterback, as well as didn't give up the future first to go up and get a true talisman on the edge. And now the Vikings ORG are set up, right? They have talent and youth all over the place, and everything is coming together, and everything is absolutely frigging beautiful with Kevin O'Connell and Quasi Dofamenseo PERSON. And, yes, I mean, again, Quasi PERSON has absolutely been cooking with gas. He's got five picks, including 108, day three. And I love it. I love everything about this draft so far. And basically everything else is grave on top. And also, It's going on to Rome GPE's.So your Minnesota-Find Vikings ORG have been doing some damn business. And Quasi PERSON has been wheeling and dealing, securing J.J. McCarthy, number 10 overall, as well as trading up from 23, a pick which they already traded to go get with the Texans, going up with the Jaguars to get Dallas Turner at 17. Two young cornerstone pieces for the Vikings ORG long time, long term. And yeah, trades were expensive, but it is what it is. Quasi PERSON has absolutely been cooking and he has indeed been making all the right moves. And frankly, I love it. I making all the right moves. And frankly, I love it. I love that the Vikings ORG are being aggressive. I love that Quasi is really going for the pin. And yes, you know, terms of BPA, BPA, but also the Vikings landed, the quarterback that will fit in perfectly with what Kevin O'Conn PERSON wants to do in offense. And frankly, I think Turner was BPA at 17. I think that he was the best pure edge rusher and pass rusher in this draft class. So the Vikings ORG are set up very, very nicely going on forward. And Quasi PERSON, Quasi has just been a badass, man. But a lot of people have been making a stir about, well, what about the picks? So the Vikings currently have five picks left in the 2024 draft. All of them are day three. So a fourth of 108, 26, 177, 203, and 27th at 230 and 232.So none, zero, goose egg, DeAndre Russell, who, who, draft picks day two. So, well, see, I think that Quasi PERSON did it so that we could all just watch the wolves.

Speaker 2622.46s - 623.4s

No big deal.

Speaker 0623.4s - 1746.2s

But they were without the second round pick because of the trade with the Texans ORG. They were without the third round pick because of the trade with Hawkinson last two years ago. And now, I mean, the Vikings have basically gutted their mid-round picks in 2025 with the second going to the Texans, the third and the fourth going to the Jaguars ORG. And it just sort of is what it is. But don't sweat it. Absolutely do not sweat it. And there's a couple reasons why.Number one, so the Vikings do have one of the youngest roosters in the National Football League ORG at this moment in time. And also, there's not going to be much veteran turnover in the next couple years. Because basically, if you look at the Vikings roster going forward, I mean, who is going to be out in the next couple years? Probably Harrison Smith is going to retire at some point. Maybe they don't bring back Bradbury PERSON. Maybe they have a decision with Brian O'Neill PERSON at some point. But really, that's it. And Quasi and the Vikings have really been clearing up some of these veteran contracts over the last couple of years.Barr three years ago, Kendrick's, Thielen PERSON, et cetera. So that's the plan. That's the blueprint of what Quasi has been doing over the last couple of off-season. And also, a hundred million in 2025 cap space, like everyone has talked about, quite a bit. And now, part of that, yes, is going to allow the Vikings to front load an extension for Jefferson and Orderasaw PERSON when the time comes. But also, even though they don't have the premium draft picks or the volume of draft picks day two this year, day two next year,as well as no fourth rounders next year. I mean, the Vikings ORG will be able to supplement in free agency. They'll be able to make very big waves in the free agent market next year and beyond. Also, they are projected to have that 2025 third round comp pick. Now, it won't be official until a couple months before the draft next year, but the Vikings are likely in line via SpotRack to have an extra third round pickbecause of free agent net losses this offseason, notably with Kurt Cousins and Neil Hunter PERSON. And hell, maybe it could be a surprise, too. Maybe it's a third and a fifth. Maybe it's a third and a fourth. Who knows? Also, so you do get into the hit rate in terms of,there's a precipitous drop-off in terms of hit rate going from first to second to third to fourth to fifth round, right? And even though, yes, you know, mid-round picks, Daniel Hunter was a third rounder. Everson Griffin, Brian Robeson were fourth-round picks. For every one of those dudes, there's a dozen Drum Barties that you've never heard of.Guys that just simply do not make it. Also, the Vikings, and this is very important for Quasi, held on to that 20-25 first-round pick. All right, so the Vikings, so first off, the Vikings are going to be good, so that's going to be a late first-round pick. Bah-U-R-Bel. So the Vikings have going to be good. So that's going to be a late first round pick. Bah, B'r-R-Believe. So the Vikings ORG have a couple of options.Number one, they could stick and pick. They could take their guy, take a blue-chip dude in the first round. They could trade down if they want multiple selections throughout the mid-round's next year. And that was important where, again, it was an absolute masterclass for Quasi last night, where you got the number one edge rusher. And also you got your quarterback in the future without giving up that future first rounder.Yes, he gave up the third and the fourth, but also, like what's that about the hit rate. Also, still a small, minute chance that you might get something from the Falcons ORG for tampering. Like maybe you'll get the Falcons' third round pick, or maybe there will be a pick swap upgrade. Or, you know, maybe the Falcons will be forced to swap like a fourth for the Vikings fifth. Who knows? Who knows? But the Vikings ORG outside chance they could get a little bit of compensation there, but overall, I worried about it. Basically what it comes down to is the Vikings ORG have a very young roster, and the Vikings ORG are good to go at a lot of key positions, and that's really about it. And that's something that quacy PERSON has beenbuilding to because it is a huge departure from a team that has a lot of veterans that has a lot of bad contracts and you need those picks to help replenish the roster the Vikings ORG are in a spot where they can have a smaller truncated class size next year because of the free agent money because of the young roster already in place as as well as the fact that Quasi, 2022 draft, not so much about the last two drafts. You're kind of feeling good about things. And you still have five picks this year.So overall, Quacy, Quacy's doing the damn thing, man. That's the thing. Like, yeah, maybe 2022 wasn't that great, but he improved last year and he definitely hit the damn thing out of the ballpark this year. So, yeah, even though the Vikings are sort of bereft of picks, you know, no day two this year or next year and no fourth rounder next year. Baby don't worry about a ting, because every little thing is going to be all right. That's right, that's right. Go down, Jerome's day two of the 2024 NFL draft is in the books. And even though the Vikings didn't have any selections, there's right. Go on Jerome's day two of the 2024 NFL draft is in the books. And even though the Vikings ORG didn't have any selections, there are some very interesting things that went on. So we'll go through the round two and three picks as well as the winner. I think there's a pretty clear-cut winner from day two. It's not who you think. As well as players are still available day three. Vikings will have a bite at the apple at the top of round four at pick 108. So second round, the Bills ORG, who had traded down several times, had a chance at a receiver. But big-bodied outside the number, Keon Coleman, going to Buffalo to try and replace Gabe Davis as well as Stefan Diggs PERSON. So Josh Allen gets himself a new wide receiver one.The Chargers, who had gotten criticized for not taking Malik PERSON neighbors at five, but they still get a receiver in this very deep class. So they got Joe Alt PERSON. Now, Lad McConkey becomes Justin Herbert's new wide receiver one. The Falcons, Adios Miao PERSON. Falcons ORG did again. So first off, there's a beguiling trade, especially at the top of day, too. But the Falcons, I feel like Terry Fontano PERSON might be trying to get fired on purpose. So I love me, Samruk Aurora PERSON, for sure. But I don't love him more than Johnny Newton PERSON. I don't love him more than Braden Fisk PERSON. But the Falcons ORG make a move. They find themselves a great defensive player. Rahim Morris PERSON gets himself a high energy penetrator up front. But, I mean, Johnny Newton PERSON was just there. And Braden Fisk was just there. But, you know, the Falcons ORG taking a gamble in that spot. Johnny Newton going to the commies. Now, this is a clear situation of BPA. So they do have Duran Payne. They do have Jonathan Allen PERSON. But Johnny Newton blowing up that B gap is going to do great things with Dan Quinn. J. Lynn and Polk going to the Patriots ORG.So got Drake May 3, got him a wide receiver 1 in POC coming in from Washington ORG. Devandre Sweat PERSON. So there have been speculation that DeFondre Sweat would fall because of his DUI as well as, you know, reputation of parting in Austin, which is pretty damn easy, by the way. But all it takes is one team and the Tennessee Titans are going to take a chance on Devonre Sweat. He heads to Nashville, which is pretty damn easy, by the way. But all it takes is one team, and the Tennessee Titans Titans are going to take a chance on to Vondres sweat PERSON. He heads to Nashville GPE, which definitely no parting in Nashville. A little bit concerning. The Rams ORG. So the Rams are trying to replace an 80-round Donald PERSON's production. Now, they took Jared Burs in the first round. The guy's teammate Braden Fisk in the second, so they're going to suture up that defensive line. So much for all this talk about, hey, Sean McVeigh's PERSON picks are going to be all offense. Man, and then the Eagles ORG.So the Eagles were interesting because the Packers were originally at 41, but the Eagles in Howard PERSON, Howie Roseman, come up to 40, grab Cooper de Jean, who would have been great in Green Bay? They would have loved Cooper to John PERSON. But the Eagles had a very poop secondary last year, and now they got Quinion PERSON as well as Cooper. It's pretty damn good, man.Saints ORG made a move. Got Koolaid McKistri coming in from Bama. Kamar Lasseter was the third of four corners in a row. Joja, he is going to the Texans ORG. Max Melton, who the Vikings ORG did some work on. The Pride of Ruckers is going out to Arizona ORG.More on them in a second. Then the Raiders ORG. So I actually like what the Raiders ORG have done. They've gone pure BPA. So they got Brock Bowers in the first round, J.P.J. Jackson Powers Johnson, suturing up that offensive line.So they're just getting dudes. And I like what Antonio Pierce and Tom Tolesco are actually doing. 45. So this sucks. So the Packers, first of two second round picks, Edra Cooper PERSON from Texas A&M.So him and Quay Walker PERSON are going to form a great offball linebacker duo. So it sucks. Cooper's great. 46. The Panthers ORG break the seal on running backs. Jonathan Brooks coming off that ACL, the Pride of Texas, hook him, and Bryce Young PERSON get some help in the backfield.Tyler Nubin, again, Dinky Town West, or East LOC, rather. Lots of gophers going to the Giants ORG. Tyler Nubin, Rangie safety helps replace Xavier McKinney PERSON on the back end of that defense. He went to the stupid Packers ORG. Mason Smith goes to the Jaguars ORG. So they get Mason Smith as well as Eric Armstead in one off season.Chris Jenkins going to the Bengals ORG. I actually really like that pick. Chris Jenkins PERSON, a great leader. I was going to do good things against a run as well as has upside as a pass rusher. Run on Michigan dudes, Mike Stain Strill PERSON, where I feel like he could have snuck into the back end of the first round, but pound for pound, he is one of the toughestson of a gun's in this draft, and the commies and Dan Quinn PERSON continue to just completely overhaul that defense. Zach Frazier coming in from West Virginia, going to Pitt ORG, I really like that pick. I mean, Zach Frazier PERSON is as tough as nails. He is as Steel City GPE as they come, and that's fantastic. So he goes to the other side of the backyard brawl going from West Virginia GPE to pit.A.D. Mitchell, who, I mean, a lot of people had seen him as a first round pick, but there was some concerns, and he falls all the way down to 52. But either way, if he gets his ish together, I mean, Anthony Richardson PERSON has himself a prime, a speedy, deep threat target. Ben Sennett going to the commies out of Kansas State, tight end two off the board. Michael Hall Jr. stays in state from the Ohio State to the Browns ORG. Patrick Paul PERSON.So opinion on Patrick Paul PERSON had been sort of split. Yeah, you got the physical upside, and yes, the dolphins definitely need some help along the offensive line. So he goes to South Beach GPE. The Cowboys ORG, who, I mean, there been a lot of talk about the Cowboys ORG taking a running back, and Brooks PERSON, I mean, they could have made a move and secured him, but they take Neeland PERSON in this spot. Chris Braswell PERSON going from Bama to Tampa Bay. Braswell, never really panned out on all the traits, but hopefully they'll be able to do thatin Tampa Bay GPE. And then the backers, Javon Bullard PERSON. So, hey, Georgia safety, those always work out. So they definitely need some help on the back end of their defense. They got two really good ones in EdronCooper, linebackers, as well as Jonathan Bullard, the back end safety. Fisher goes to the Texans ORG, the right tackle from Notre Dame, Joe Walt's running mate, Bishop, Rake Straw PERSON. So the lions doubling down on corner because took Terry and Arnold, took Rake Straw PERSON, and also they picked up Carlton Davis during the offseason. That is the Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison PERSON effect. Absolutely. Rosengarten goes to the Ravens ORG.They need some help along the offensive line, the Laco of Moses PERSON. And like I said, I don't believe in Ronnie Stanley PERSON. Kingsley, Sumai Tap goes to the Chiefs ORG. Now, there have been some speculation that he could have been a first round pick. Maybe does need a lot of polish. But, of course, Andy Reid loves himself, the BYU ORG connection,he was a former Cougar tackle back in the day. But Kingsley PERSON landing in a great spot, and it wouldn't shock me if he becomes a very solid tackle in the next couple of years. Oh, by the way, the Bills and the Niners traded with the Chiefs ORG. Stop trading with the team that kicks your ass all the time. But the Niners end up with Renardo Green, who I had held out hope that maybe the Vikings were traded into round three to goget him. Oh, Marvin Harrison Jr. is that the Wolves and Sons game? But Renardo Green PERSON, he may be the best man-to-man cover corner in this class, and he goes to the Niners ORG, and that's a really big-time boost for them. Of course, the Niners are building to play the Chiefs ORG again, but we'll see. Round three, so Malachi Corley, who had been sort of the cat's ass, everyone's favorite receiver, yards after catch monster. He goes to the JETS, Jets ORG, Jets, JETs, Jets.Trey Benson, solid running back from Florida State, goes to Arizona ORG. Coleman PERSON, who I really like Coleman. So tackle a TCU ORG, a physical upside, probably going to kick inside. He goes to the commies. Again, they had a great draft. Caden Wallace, the tackle goes to the Patriots, Jr. Colson PERSON.So I honestly feel like Harbaugh wanted Blake Corum at 69. Nice. But it took another one of his guys, Duner Colson PERSON, the patrolling linebacker from Michigan. Andrew Phillips PERSON, who's a fantastic, underrated, feisty, undersized corner coming out, Kentucky. He goes to the Giants. Isaiah Adams PERSON from Illinois, the tackle. Trevor Wallace, physical freak linebacker from Kentucky, he goes to Carolina ORG.Cooper Beebe, so respect. Even though the Cowboys ORG, that's certainly not all in, I like Neeland in the second. I love Cooper Beebe in the third. And so now, since the Cowboys took Guyton in the first round, he can be a right tackle. They can kick Tyler Smith PERSON out to left tackle, the pride of Tulsa, and they can put Beebe PERSON on one of the guard spots. So overall it worked up pretty good.Falcons, I don't know. I like Brayland Trice PERSON seems a little bit. I don't know. I don't know. Jonah Ellis. Oh, Kieran, not going to try it. But Kieran, you know, the tackle from Yale goes to the Bears ORG.Hey, they finally got a player who's going to be on the team in five years. Awesome. Jonah Ellis. Jonah Ellis is feisty. Jonah Ellis is a dog. Jonah Ellis is, you know, Trey Hendrickson and Jason.Again, Luther Ellis, four of his kids have played in the league. It was a three or four. One of the two. But Jonah Ellis, in terms of tenacity and pressure rate, it's fantastic, man. Burton goes to the Bengals ORG. I mean, could that be it for Higgins PERSON?We shall see. Christian Haynes goes to the Seahawks ORG. I really love that pick. I mean, Christian Haynes really rocksawed Meat Potato's PERSON Guard, building in the trenches, and, you know, giving Gino and Sling and Sam Hall PERSON a chance in this spot.Corum goes to the Rams ORG. So I actually love that a lot of the draft picks have just completely poo-poohed on the fantasy football community. Because, I mean, Kyron Williams, the time to sell high was yesterday. But Blake Kornum goes out to L.A. GPE, but the other team. Roman Wilson goes to the Steelers ORG.That's fantastic. Roman Wilson PERSON, I feel like, is super underrated. And they're going to love him in Pittsburgh GPE. He's a great one-for-one replacement for Deontay Johnson PERSON. Zach Zinter goes from Michigan ORG to that other state down south. But a rough and tumble offensive lineman probably would have been drafted higher if he didn't have that leg issue. But he joins an already great offensive line. Maris Lufalu goes to the Cowboys ORG as well. So overall, I feel like the Cowboys ORG sort of redeem themselves. Marshaun Lloyd helps try to replace Aaron Jones PERSON. So I like his profile coming out of USC ORG. Did have some injury issues, but we'll see.Elijah Jones PERSON is a guy that I loved a lot. He goes to Arizona ORG. Jalen McMillan, oh, the other Washington ORG receiver. He goes to the Buccaneers ORG, which is a perfect spot for him. Jellin's Hunt from Houston Christian ORG, the small school. FCS ORG guys getting after it.Dwayne Carter PERSON went to the bills. I forgot about that. Sad day. Also, McKinley Jackson PERSON. So two of my interior defensive line crushes just go. And by the way, the Bengals ORG are building a bully. So they got themselves some Jenkins Jr. As well as McKinley Jackson PERSON. That's really damn good. Peyton Wilson, great offball linebacker going to the Steelers ORG, Kitchens going to the back end, the Rams, as well as Luke McCaffrey, out of rice. So I'm predisposed to like him.Yes, Christian's brother, he goes to Washington ORG. And I think that the team that had the best draft so far through day one and two, it's got to be Arizona ORG. So even though Osset Fort PERSON didn't trade down and acquire more picks, he's good to go. He is absolutely good to go. So they had four third rounders, two first rounders.Harrison Jr. up at four, fantastic. Darius Robinson PERSON is going to become their new darn-old docket. Max Milton PERSON is a cornerback. I love. Trey Benson PERSON is super feisty. He's going to pair up well with Connor PERSON in that backfield.Isaiah Adams PERSON is a solid tackle prospect, as well as Tip Ryman PERSON can get into the tight end rotation, plus Elijah Jones PERSON. Melton and Elijah Jones PERSON, I think are going to be your tier one starters for them eventually. So Arizona ORG had themselves a fantastic draft.I think the Bengals ORG had a really good draft too. See, Mims and like we said, Jenkins, McKinley, plus they hedged their bet with Higgins with adding Germain Burton PERSON. I'll say the lost Tyler Boyd PERSON. So I think the Bengals ORG had themselves a great one too. Players are left. So T.J. Tampa PERSON, I wasn't as enamored with T.J. Tampa, as some other people are.I feel like the lengthy sort of stiff corners look like T.J. Tampa looking like Kyrie Jackson PERSON. I feel like they don't really Tampa, looking like Kyrie Jackson PERSON. I feel like don't really jive with Flores' defense. But some surprise drops. So Jateman Sanders PERSON being now is like, what, tight end four or five off the board? Brandon Dorliss fell out of day, too. A little bit surprising. Troy Franklin is a main one too. A lot of people thought that Troy Franklin could be, you know, the wide receiver six off the board back into the first round. Now, when there's a near consensus player that everyoneloves and is projected high when he takes a tumble, generally it's medicals. But we'll see what happens there. But I mean, I would take a shot at Troy Franklin. Why the hell not? Chavon Baker, I love two. Mackay Wingo. another one of the great LSU ORG defensive tackles is out there, physical freak. Spencer Rattler PERSON, notably. It's still out there. Same thing with Michael Pratt Jr.Trotter, May to Day 3. I wouldn't mind taking a swing of Trotter, even though the Vikings ORG are stacked up at linebacker, BPA. SVP, S. S. Senator Van Pangear PERSON is still out there as well. Javon Foster PERSON, a guy who could turn into a great swing tackle, is out there chilling if the Vikings want to take a swing at 108.Then Lumea, Brendan Jackson PERSON, Tanner Bortellini PERSON, stupid badger is out there. Nathaniel Watson PERSON, physical freak linebacker, co-SCC defensive player of the year. DT, who the Vikings did some work on, the safety out of Texas Tech ORG, is out there chilling as well. Theo Johnson, the Combine Superstar Tide End out there.Mo Kamara PERSON, who undersized but unafraid on the edge. I love him. Ray Davis PERSON, great story. Hunter Nerzad PERSON is a rough and tumble center that I love as well. You know, Bob Means, Gabe Hall PERSON. I mean, there's tons of names out there that, Mahogany, Brayland Allen PERSON.

Speaker 11746.66s - 1755.68s

So, I mean, there's certainly a ton of talent left, and there's going to be a lot of guys that matriculate down the field as the Vikings have one fourth rounder,

Speaker 01755.78s - 1781.6s

but then they have two six and two sevens. You know, Mustafa, Miles Cole, Bucky Irving, you know, Christian Boyd would be a dream at 108 as well, Estime PERSON. So, I mean, there's tons of guys throughout all of the analysis of mock drafts are still on board. And that's the thing. Like, there's only a finite number of players that can go round one or day two. And hell, round seven. And there's going to be a lot of guys that Mason McCormick PERSON's out there, chilling too.

Speaker 21783.7s - 1784.72s

It's going on to Rome GPE.

Speaker 01784.72s - 2246.64s

So after an electric day one of the 2024 NFL ORG annual selection meeting, the Vikings had to sit out day two. Didn't have any picks is what it is. But the Vikings still have five selections, day three. And there's still some very, very sexy names on the board that the Vikings ORG should and could be interested in.Some names, they've done some homework on and some guys that absolutely look dynamite in purple. And the Vikings won't have to wait long in round four. They currently sit at number eight in the fourth round pick 108 overall. And the Vikings still have that fourth round pick through various trades to move ups, move downs, move sideways, move everywhere. No fifth rounders, but they do have the first pick in the sixth round. Sylvie's been kind of bad today. No, I'm just kidding. She's a good girl all the time. Also, a second sixth rounder, 27 overall in the round. And then two seventh round picks nearly back to back to finish things out. So the Vikings ORG, there's some very good names left. It's a very interesting name.So I did up a bit of a scatter shot of guys that I'm really crushing on that I want the Vikings to be in on day three. So 37, a modest proposal. So number one, Troy Franklin's interesting because a lot of people saw him as a potential first round pick. And usually when there's a substantial fall like this, it's usually something medical that has been reported in the media. But I don't know, man. Troy Franklin is very talented and he'll look really good in purple, man. Christian Boyd PERSON, Christian Boyd is my guy. Now, there's been a run on defensive tackles at the end of the second round.Duane Carter, as well as McKinley Jackson PERSON went. So if the Vikings ORG want to get back to having the meets, I think Boyd at 108 would be the guy. Now, I'd almost be tempted to move up. Or since the Vikings ORG are bereft of picks, sticking and picks in and rolling the dice, and hopefully that, hopefully Christian Boyd will make his way all the way down to the Vikings at 1-08. Crossing fingers. Javon Baker PERSON. Javon Baker, great hands, smooth route runner, would love him as a wide receiver three. Mason McCormick, the FCS offensive line stud in this year's class. So the pride of South Dakota State, go Jack Rabbits PERSON.I think that he would fit him very nicely, potentially compete for one of the starting guard spots. Showed up and showed out at the combine. He's great. Malik Mustafa PERSON. So I'm higher on Mustafa than a lot of people are, but he's just a heat-seeking missile. He is a guy that plays with great instincts.Testing-wise, he didn't check all the boxes, but he's just all heart, all hustle. And yeah, safety is a position of need. But if you think, Harrison Smith, probably retiring after the season. And Lewasine, who knows, but Mustafa, just get good football players. That's what comes out the end of the day. Audrake PERSON has to be.So Catholic NORP Beast mode. So it does have the breakaway speed, but quickness, short area, size, and power. I like him a lot. I left off Brail and Allen PERSON. I just don't see him syncing up with what the Vikings ORG want to do in the wrong game. Now, you certainly could change things in the wrong game, sure. But I think Estimate would have a better shot of being a three-down player for the Vikings ORG long term. And for the moment in time, it would be a really good supplement to A. Ron Jones and Ty Tyson, Ty Chandler PERSON. He said Tyson Chandler. So he's the center back in the day, right? I want to ring with the Mavericks ORG. So it's Tyson Chandler, Eddie Curry with the Bulls ORG, right?Bo Limer PERSON. Hey, Bo Limer PERSON. The undersized center from Arkansas, but better anchor than Bradbury PERSON. Cam Hot PERSON. So I specifically left cornerbacks like Kyrie Jackson. the undersized center from Arkansas, but better anchor than Bradbury. Cam Hart PERSON. So I specifically left cornerbacks like Kyrie Jackson PERSON off the board because I don't know, like Cam Hart, I feel like has a little bit better physicality as well as isn't 25 years old. Christian Jones in terms of if the Vikings ORG want to bring in a tackle, swing tackle project, Christian Jones, Texas GPE will be a great one. Also, Jovan Foster's guy that I like a lot. Malik Washington, want to bring in a swing tackle project, Christian Jones, Texas will be a great one. Also, Javon Foster's PERSON guy that I like a lot. Malik Washington PERSON, want to go down the wide receiver route. Jim Brown-Tryor Jr. PERSON, so he's not as souped up and jacked up at some of the other offball linebackers, but again, great, you know, obviously great DNA, great bloodlines as well as great instincts.Hunter News Red, as well as SVP, Tanner Bortolini PERSON. I mean, if the Vikings ORG want to invest in a center, you're going to have options, either at 108 or potentially at the top of the sixth round. Brennan Jackson PERSON is an edge rusher that I've liked a lot. So he's more of a 4-Tech, 5-Tech, so he would be a perfect fit for what the Vikings ORG want to do in the 3-4. I think that he's got pass rushing upside. He would step in immediately and be very good against the run. Nathaniel Watson, a physical freak linebacker from Mississippi State ORG. Of course, is out there. Theo Johnson. I mean, speaking of physical freaks. All he does is catch touchdowns and destroy combine records for tight ends. That's what he does, man. Moe Kamara undersized edge rusher, but highly productive at Colorado State ORG. Gabe Hall PERSON. So he's sort of a positionless defensive lineman, but in terms of a sub-packaged guy that can get his own pass rush, Gabe Hall PERSON would certainly be interesting. Mahogany PERSON, if they want size along the offensive line.Tyler Davis was the running partner with Rook-a-Rour at Clemson, Davis, a little bit more of a run-stopper. Isaac Warendo PERSON. So former backup to Braylon Allen, Guarendo, had an okay season at Louisville ORG after transferring, but of course he was the Combine EVENT superstar. I think that he had the highest RAS of any running back in Combine EVENT history, which is insane. Bucky Irving did not test well, but Bucking Irving PERSON is a stud.We know that from Oregon and Minnesota GPE. LT3, if you want a bit of a hybrid of a guy that can penetrate as well as stop the run, that's just the U being the U. Isaiah Davis PERSON. I like Isaiah Davis PERSON. Like, he will punch you in the face in a good way in terms of being a running back.Eric Al PERSON. So we need a corner of the market on Hawkeyes ORG, tight ends, physical freaks. They're coming off of ACLs. And the Vikings have done work on Eric Hall PERSON. Tyrone Tracy PERSON is interesting. So Tyrone Tracy used to be at Iowa as a wide receiver. He was teammates with Mirz Smith-Marset, ISM ORG. And then he shifted to running back. And he's just a weird running back. He's productive, but he's weird. Charles Turner III PERSON, they've done some work on as well. Yes, another undersized center. What happened to the 330-pound centers? Where all they? Jacob Crowing is cowing the Deshawn Jackson of Arizona ORG. Jane Crumedy runs a defensive tackle from Mississippi State ORG. Also has some pass rushing upside. Kamani Vidal PERSON.I just like the way that he runs the ball. Kamani Vidal PERSON running the ball. Great, what was the great nephew of Hank Aaron PERSON? Hammer and Kamani PERSON? There you go. Dylan Laube PERSON can be a really, actually.Offensive weapon, Dylan Lobb PERSON. Number one, a great return man in all phases. It can be a slot receiver, can be a running back, can do everything, man. Frank Crum, Uber, Dylan Love. Number one, a great return man in all phases. It can be a slot receiver, can be a running back, can do everything, man. Frank Crum PERSON, Uber Athletic Tackle, Swing Tackle Project ORG.Drake Nugent PERSON. Of course, J.J. McCarthy PERSON's had some very, very intimate moments with Drake Nugent PERSON. So Nugent coming in from Stanford ORG, then taken over at the pivot for Oli Oliawatiimi last year at Michigan ORG.Trey Taylor and Tori Taylor PERSON, bring in all the tailors. So, Trey Taylor, super tough safety from Air Force I love, and Tori Taylor PERSON is the best punter in the nation. I'll give Ryan Wright PERSON a little bit of competition. But, I mean, that's it right now. I mean, some really great names, some guys that we've been crushing on forever. And the Vikings ORG do have picks. They do have selections. At a certain point, it's like, just stick and pick.

Speaker 22248.88s - 2249.96s

It's going on to Rome GPE.

Speaker 02250.08s - 2669.96s

So your Minnesota-Find Vikings had a very busy first round of the NFL draft last night, securing Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy number 10, as well as training on up to number 17 for Dallas, Turner PERSON, the pride of Alabama GPE. Tide ORG. And, of course, as is the want for every draft, they immediately hop on the jet.Don't go to Haddysburg, but they do indeed come into the great state of Minnesota GPE. Introductory press conference. So first off, Kevin O'Connell, look at that smirking that jawline. It's a very, very happy man with a very, very good football team and a very, very good future franchise quarterback. That's right. And Quasi PERSON, I love the sweater. It's fantastic, man. Also, he's got, like, the, he's got, like, the frock going on. It's a good look. I love it, man. We'll get into the rest of the outfits. So, J. Jim Carthy was first at the dish feeding the local media jackals. Now, I like the tie. It's a little bit too magenta for the Vikings ORG, but I'm sure that they just picked it up at the, well, what they fly into? They probably flew into the St. Paul GPE. It doesn't matter. Maybe he grabbed it from Hammerade at MSP ORG.It's possible, man. But, you know, J.J. McCarthy PERSON, he was everything that you would expect, right? So going into, like, the cliches, it's not about me. It's about we and all the players speak. And, you know, he thanked Kwayze, Kevin O'Connell, the Wilf PERSON's said that it's a fantastic organization and all that stuff. And I just wanted one time, one time, one of the local smokies just to ask, hey, what about Harbaugh and how the Vikings did your boy dirty a couple years ago?But also, if McCarthy did, if the Vikings had hired Harbaugh, I mean, who knows if McCarthy and Harbaugh win the national title. So it's possible, possible, man. But McCarthy PERSON, he seems like a very genuine kid, very fired up to be here. And you see the intangibles. Like, even though he is young, he is cut from the cloth of a natural born leader of men. And also, this is fantastic. So Seaford, who's not Carl Gershman, JJ McCarthy said that Justin Jefferson PERSON has already reached out to him. He actually, actually, already let me know. I go by Jets ORG, so there's no confusion. Which is true. Like, I feel like, so Justin Jefferson, JJ PERSON, I feel like that's been like a media creation. I feel like we just call him JJ PERSON, although he's like,my name is Justin or my name is Jets ORG. It's kind of weird, man. But also, so there's no confusing. Confidence is key in this league. So here's what's happening to. So all of the haters and the losers saying that,oh, Justin Jefferson PERSON obviously wants up because he wanted cousins back or he wanted Jaden Daniels PERSON or he wanted whatever. To all of the haters and the losers saying that, oh, Justin Jefferson obviously wants up because he wanted Kurt Cousins back or he wanted Jaden Daniels or he wanted whatever. To all of the haters and the losers, it's been a bad 24 hours for y'all. So not only did the Vikings land their quarterback of the future, Justin Jefferson PERSON, unprompted, are already calling him up, hey, what up? I'm Jets, you are JJ PERSON, and that's how it's going to be for the next10 years after we win a dozen drone parties. Actually, they probably weren't on the phone because I feel like anyone under 50 years old doesn't talk on the phone. I don't even talk on the phone. So, anyways, but yeah, I think it's pretty clear sign that JJ PERSON approves of the quarterback's election because you would think, hey, F this, you know, JJ PERSON kid, I'm out. Why would he reach out? So extension, go be done soon. And also, like we said, it's not about me. It's about we. It's like you can double just hear the harbour. Who's got better than me? Nobody. That's right.Something like that. But, you know, he's a very impressive kid. He's very polished and it shows up on the field as well. And I can't wait. I really cannot wait because it did feel like the Michigan ORG offense was holding him back. Now what's he going to do? What's he going to do when he's surrounded by all of these weapons in the great state of Minnesota, notably a long time extended Justin Jefferson PERSON, which will certainly take. I think he'll be good to go, right? Also, it's kind of funny. So, you know, McCarthy mentioned that he's really looking forward to being teammates with Dallas Turner so that Dallas Turner doesn't smack him around. Dallas Turner taking his turn out the dish, roll tied. And also, I need that sweatshirt. I don't want that sweatshirt, I need that sweatshirt. I don't want that sweatshirt. I need that sweatshirt.Otherwise, I may die. I may die soon, right? Like we said, McCarthy said he's very hyped to be teammates with Turner PERSON. Now, McCarthy and the Wolverines did win the semifinal game against Alabama GPE, Nick Samedon's PERSON last game as head coach of the tide. But, I mean, Dallas Turner got a sack.He had a couple really good shots on number nine as well. So obviously he's happy that they're teammates. But what's fantastic, so I respect this level of pettiness. Dallas Turner joke that he unfollowed J.J. McCarthy on Instagram after losing to Michigan in the Rose Bowl EVENT. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. Now, you know, Dallas Turner also came in super humble, super hungry, super thankful. And I think, so talk about changing the culture. It's something that Quasi and Kevin McConnell PERSON have made very much a point of.And these two dudes are going to be leaders on the respective sides of the ball. And they just, Quasi PERSON just smashed this draft, man. And, yeah, I mean, there's some lingering concerns about the 2022 class. 2023 was greatly improved. This one, plus you have five picks to go, even though there's no selections day two. Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby. That's right. And also, speaking of cultures and leaders, Will Ragged Sports Illustrated ORG, J.J.M. McCarthy and Dallas Turner both named Josh Mattelis PERSON as a teammate who has reached out to them since getting drafted. Mattelis is a captain and the second longest tenure player on the Vikings ORG defense. He's embracing his leadership role and engaging with fans online too. And I was like about Mattelis PERSON, too, which is something that you love. You know, he came in as a six-round pick. You know, borderline roster guy, special team are working his way up. And then Flores PERSON' defense, come on, man. Come on, come on. So I love that captain is taking on that role. And, of course, he and McCarthy, Michigan ORG men already have that connection. He and Turner PERSON are going to be on the same side of the ball, hunting quarterbacks. It's going to be beautiful. It's going to be beautiful, man. But again, this is a photo that will resonate throughout team history. And as we said, this is the most important offseason in the history of the Vikings ORG. Here's this thing.Like, everyone pooh-poo's every draft pick. Oh, what if they bust? What a McCarthy PERSON bus? What if Turner bus? No one ever, but what if they bust? What a McCarthy PERSON bus? What if her bus? No one ever looks at what if they don't. Because say the Vikings ORG have the future franchise quarterback for the next 10 to 15 yearsand say that the Vikings have an absolute Chris Dolman PERSON talisman on the edge going to hunt quarterbacks for another decade plus. Baby, we're set up. Baby, we are... Mm. Mm.Just...

Speaker 22669.96s - 2673.1s

So I can't even lie.

Speaker 02673.26s - 2957.4s

And it hasn't really even set in yet. But the Minnesota Defined Vikings absolutely got after it last night in round one, securing J.J. McCarthy at number 10 overall, first top 10 quarterback taken in franchise history. They did it without selling the farm, as well as securing Dallas Turner, the talisman on the edge. So they got the future franchise quarterback who's a perfect fit for what Kevin O'Connor PERSON wants to do on offense and the best ed rusher in this class.221-year-olds at premium positions. In fact, the two most important positions in all of football, passer and get the passer. Quasi PERSON, baby, baby, baby, baby. Quacy damn cooked a five-star, three-star Michelin meal. Five-star New York Times, three-star Michelin, doesn't matter. We're getting it.And I love that the Vikings are finally getting the respect from the National Media Gibran ORG haircuts. Because so when the Vikings ORG do something good, it has to be so good that the media can't ignore it. It's just like Justin Jefferson PERSON. Of course, he has the Vikings tax, which is like, oh, the Vikings are trade, Dr. Johnson Jefferson PERSON. No. But when the Vikings ORG do so good that the media can't sweep it under the rug, that's when you know you made it.Long story longer. Mel Kuiper Jr., ESPN, Grand Puba ORG of the draft. Todd PERSON, Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd. So he did up his winners and losers from round one. And lo and behold, oh, oh, the Vikings ORG made the biggest winners category. No big deal. This is what he wrote, as I choke and die. This is what he wrote, The Picks and die. This is what he wrote. The picks, McCarthy and Dallas Turner at 10 and 17 respectively. All along, McCarthy was linked to the Vikings ORG, and all along, we thought they might have to give up their other first round pick number 23 to get them. Instead, though, they patiently waited. They traded up one spot with the Jets, got their guy and kept the number 23, and kept the number 23 pick. That's a huge one. Now, a lot of people say, oh, why'd they have to trade up? The Jets ORG weren't going to take them. Well, you run the risk of the Broncos and or the Raiders ORG trading up ahead of you. And then the Vikings would have had to settle for Bo Nix PERSON. Yeah. McCarthy, who finished number 15 in my rankings, is going to a great spot.Coach Kevin O'Connell and the Vikings ORG will put him in position to succeed. Plus, he's going to be throwing passes to Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hawkinson PERSON, the sons of anarchy. Riding through this world. This is a great fit for a young signal caller. Minnesota was able to use that pick of 23 to move up six spots, Land Turner, my top ranked edge rusher, and the number nine player on my big board. While the franchise had to give up quite a bit, it also surrendered 167, 2012, 3rd, and 4th.Turner PERSON is a great player who fills a position of need. Like the Bears, the Vikings landed two players of my top 15. This is a really solid how. And where there's winners, there has to be losers. So the Falcons ORG made, I know people are going to be like, oh, why also talk about Kurt Cousins? This is objectively the funniest story to ever happen in the NFL ORG draft. After paying Kurt, all that money used the number eight pick on a 24-year-old quarterback in Pennix PERSON, who's going to be super popular with the Falcons fan base, much more so than Kurt PERSON, but it's funny, man. Teams that made head scratching moves in round one. The Falcons, Pennix at 8. This is a shocking pick. The Falcons just gave free agent Kirk Cousins $100 million guaranteed. In March, they'll lock in the veteran for at least two seasons, and they reach for a quarterback who turns 24-year-old next month. I don't get it. The reality is Pennix is number 24 on my big board. I had him ranked a tier behind JJ McCarthy. That's the thing, too. Hey, if you're going to take a quarterback, why not take the younger one? Why not take the guy who turned 21 in January versus a guy who's about to turn 24? Especially if you plan to sit him behind Kurt for at least two years.Baby, baby, baby, blah, blah, blah, blah. But, yeah, the Falcons ORG obviously had other needs. And also, apparently they didn't do a lot of homework on Pennix PERSON. So, again, this is objectively funny. This is objectively funny. But focusing on us, baby.Again, this is a first round that will feed families. This will be a first round that, well, frankly, it's either going to make or break the franchise. Because, again, you have two young, potentially superstar players at premium positions that are going to completely turn the page over because now this is Qua PERSON's team. This is Kevin O'Connell's PERSON team. There ain't no more bones about it, right? And McCarthy and Turner, if they both hit, it's going to set up the Vikings for success for many, many years to come. So it's fantastic. But your thoughts are thoughts. Todd PERSON, taught, taught, taught, taught. Mel Kippa Jr. calls the Vikings one of the biggest winners of the first round of the 2024 NFL ORG draft. No big deal.

Speaker 22959.52s - 2960.6s

Let's go down to Rome GPE.

Speaker 02960.6s - 3543.38s

So didn't weigh in on this right away because I wanted to let it marinate, let it breathe for a little bit. And I know people get to, why are you still talking about Kirk Cousins PERSON? I get over. He's gone. No, but this is honestly, objectively, the funniest thing that has ever happened in NFL draft history of the Falcons ORG drafting Michael Pennix Jr. At number eight overall after giving Kurt's cousins a four-year $180 million deal with $100 millionguaranteed. It's hilarious, man. So recap in the offseason, Minnesota-Find Vikings, free agent quarterback, Kurt Cousins left and signed with the Atlanta Falcons, like we said, $100 million guaranteed, four years, $180 million deal, you know, going home. His wife is from Georgia, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, all that stuff. And he became the tin pot waffle house dictator now. It's fantastic, man. And now, will the Falcons be punched for tampering with Kurt Cousins? Which he admitted to in his press conference, by the way. It's possible. And we'll get into this because there's some conspiracy theories that I have about why the Falcons ORG just took penics, right? And now, what was hilarious? And I actually feel kind of bad, but then I remembered it's all about the money with him anyway, so it doesn't matter. But Kurt was at the Falcons ORG draft party and who's hyping everyone up. He's like, hey, y'all, y'all, do y'all want a receiver? Because I do. Do y'all want a defensive player?Because we need them. But then the Falcons ORG just took penics. Now, there's a couple things here. Number one, so I understand. Quarterback is the most important position in all team sports. And, you know, Kurt has 100 million guaranteed over, you know, two and a half years of his deal.So are you going to turn the keys over to a new quarterback in 2026? Possibly. But if you're going to do that, why draft the 24-year-old quarterback who's going to be 26 by the time he gets handed the keys? If you're going to draft a developmental young quarterback, why not just take McCarthy at 8? Now, I'm more than happy that they didn't, and the Vikings getting McCarthy at 10, even thoughI like Pennix, but in terms of a quarterback who needs a sit for a couple years, penics ain't it. So I don't get it. And of course, I just have to shoehorn in any references possible to one of the most underrated comedies out there, the other guys. I hope you like the taste of prison food and Peanix PRODUCT.Now, what's crazy is that the Falcons ORG, I mean, everyone in their mom had them mock draft an edge rusher, notably Dallas Turner, who ironically ended up with the Vikings at number 17. Because the Falcons ORG, I mean, the Falcons, who's the last great Falcons pass rusher? I mean, Chuck Smith, John Abraham, you know, the remnants of Dwight Freeney PERSON, that's it. That's it. And you would think with Rahim Morris PERSON being a defensive guy that they would want a talismanedge, especially since, you know, this edge rusher group, not really that deep. It's weird, man. It is absolutely weird. And then all the details started spilling out, man. So, Diana Rossini, the Falcons called Kurt Cousins when they were on the clock to let him know. So there wasn't any discussion of this beforehand. The Falcons ORG werein flowery branch for, you know, off-season workouts. No conversations with Kurt PERSON. Because, again, once you pay Kurt $100 million, like, you would think that he is the guy and you're shoving all of your chips in because Arthur Blank is like 81 years old. He would ideally like to win a Super Bowl and not just 75% of one before, you know. And with Kurt PERSON, I mean, the clock's ticking on Kurt too. Like he's 36 years young in August. And how are you paying $100 million for a bridge quarterback? I don't understand it, man. But Kurt PERSON was it called? Receiving continues. From what I learned, Cousins PERSON understood a quarterback would be considered, but he did not believe his successor would be taken in the first round. I'm told he's a bit stunned. And what's amazing is that Kurt Cousins, financial gangster agent Mike McCartney PERSON felt like he had to weigh in on the situation. That's how bad things are. Again, Kurt Cousins got $100 million guaranteed, $180 million total from the Falcons ORG, hasn't played it down yet, and they already drafted his replacement. Who's 24, going to be 24. McCartney PERSON's agent, yes, it was a big surprise. We had no idea this was coming. The truth big surprise. We had no idea this was coming. The truth is the whole league had no idea this was coming. We got no heads up. Kurt PERSON, like he deserves a heads up. Anyways, Kurt got a call from the Falcons ORG when they were on the clock. That was the first we heard. It never came up in any conversation. It's so funny. And also, the best part is, you know, apparently they did very minimal work on penics. Like they didn't have a private workout. They didn't have an in-person interview as a top 30 visit. They're just like, ah, we'll just take penics. It's insane. And, of course, you know, the viral clip is GM, Terry Fontno and owner Arthur Blank PERSON just having a conversation about it.Like, Fadno looks like a man who's trying to just make sure that he has a job tomorrow, just trying to explain away why they took penics, a guy that they did very minimal work on, and a guy who after Kurt PERSON runs through his guaranteed money and you can move on in 2026 is going to be 26 years young. And the whole backtracking and mental gymnastics and justification from the national mediabrain haircuts happened. So Pete Shrager, who used to be an ally of the Vikings ORG, not so much anymore. Cousins Pennick situation a little similar to Rogers' love situation in Green Bay. If Cousins gets Atlanta playoffs, they won't have a high pick like eighth overall anytime soon. I mean, Love was drafted in the back end of the first round anyways. Always hard to make sense of it on draft night, but that's the long term thinking when quarterback twos are taken in first. Number one, Jordan Love was 21 years old when the Packers ORG drafted him.And two, the Packers didn't just give Rogers 180 million with 100 million guaranteed. It's just, again, the hoops that the media goes through to try and explain things away when it doesn't relate to the Vikings ORG. It's ridiculous, man. But, of course, we do have the jokes. Kurt and the Vikings ORG are like a couple who divorced over money issues. And then the Vikings moved on quickly with the 21-year-old blonde, while Kurt PERSON's new team is already cheating out of them. Again, Kurt has not played a down for the Falcons ORG, and they've already moved on. It's fantastic. Now, conspiracy theories are this, where it is possible that Arthur Blank PERSON had the mandate to sign Kurt Cousinsbecause it's like, you know, the big shiny object and Home Depot just decided like, uh, did, d, dint, and he got Kurt PERSON. And maybe Fottano didn't want Kurt PERSON. Uh, and the Pennix PERSON call was completely his deal and he just did it just to do it, almost out of spite. Or is it a spot where maybe the athletic trainers, even though they tampered with Kurt PERSON, likemaybe Kurt's Achilles is not where it needs to be, and Pennix PERSON actually isn't the future quarterback. He's the quarterback for now, right? Or, again, conspiracy theory, do the Falcons know that they are going to lose their 20, 25 first round pick? And they're not going to be in a position to draft a future franchise quarterback next year. And maybe they're just like, all right, so whatever, we're just taking penics now. It certainly is a possibility, right? But either way, this is, again, objectively the funniest thing that has ever happened in the NFL ORG draft. But, hey, with Kurt PERSON, I mean, his task is very easy. All he has to do is keep the Falcons ORG fansfrom loving an electric, a charismatic, a rocket armed, an extremely mobile, according to his pro day, left-handed black quarterback named Michael in Atlanta ORG. That's all that he has to do, right? Well, do Falcons fans know that Julie's from Georgia? I mean, that's all they need, right? But I can see it now. So the Falcons ORG are going to struggle because defensively, they just don't have the pieces, which they could have taken Dallas Turner at 8 or they could.Hell, they could have even traded down a couple of spots, gotten Turner or Latu or verse PERSON or whatever and had some more picks. But now. But here's what's going to happen. So the Falcons ORG are going to struggle because their defense won't be able to stop anyone. And Kurt PERSON is going to have to be almost perfect to keep them above water, keep them putting up points, which they have skill position players, fantastic. But the second that he commits, that he makes a mistake or commits a turnover or whatever, you can just hear, panics, panics. They're going to be chowting from penics from the rafters with their $4 hot dogs. I love it. I love it, man.So, again, the drama is going to be legit in Hotlanta GPE. And again, we're talking about it because it is hilarious. And again, I'm perfectly happy with J.J. McCarthy, and I love the Dallas Turner pick, and I love that the Vikings ORG turn the page. But Kurt PERSON could have avoided all of this. Again, the Vikings would have had Kurt back on a cheap one-year deal.Kevin O'Connell wanted Kurt Cousins back. The Vikings fan base had really warmed up to Kurt over the last couple of years, but he decided to push that aside for a couple more pieces of silver from the Falcons ORG, and now he's got this situation. Now, I don't want to say anything as karma because at the end of the day, he's got $100 million guaranteed, so why does he care?
