Speaker 1670.86s - 105.8s

The A ORG's are hot. The A's are exciting, and the A's are going for the sweep today of the Pittsburgh Pirates ORG. Chris Townsend with you here on A's Cast and the A's Radio Network ORG. Let's get it going. They are 14 and 7. One three in a row, five of six.And Ken Korak last night, I had to go check the schedule. Like, when did they win their 14th game? And I was like, wow, all the way June 7th. Game number 64, the A's won their 14th game last year. It's a completely different year. 7.68 ERA, by the won their 14th game last year. It's a completely different year.

Speaker 5106.26s - 122.7s

7.68 ERA, by the way, for the team last year after 31 games, too. Townie PERSON just to amplify your points. So, yeah, been a lot of fun at the ballpark. Kind of started in spring training. The attitude was different. And today they go for their first sweep of 2024.

Speaker 16124.02s - 136.2s

You know, Ken, the excitement, you can just tell. We can tell by the numbers that we track. We can tell by the callers in the post game. I can tell in your voice. There's a certain excitement with this team.

Speaker 5136.5s - 140.18s

You just got off the air from last night's show, didn't you, Tony PERSON? Let's keep going.

Speaker 16140.26s - 141.38s

I can take calls all night.

Speaker 5142.1s - 177.96s

I love it. Yeah, I know. It's, you would hope that the energy just builds and with a young team that the confidence builds. and I can take calls all night. I love it. Yeah, I know. You would hope that the energy just builds and with a young team that the confidence builds. Now, we're only one month in, but I think the most impressive thingfor me, Towny PERSON, is coming off losing 112 games last year, was that it could have gone south in a hurry this year. Remember, defensively, they really scuffled during that firsthomestand. You start one in six, you're kind of thinking, is this going to be like a self-fulfilling prophecy? Here we go again, and that didn't happen. Well, two guys last night that just,

Speaker 16178.42s - 197.92s

you look at it and they're great stories. Tyler Nevin has come over at 26 years old, and it's like he's finding a home. And the same thing for J.J. Bladay, come over at 26 years old, and it's like he's finding a home. And the same thing for J.J. Bladay, who's also 26 years old. We knew had all the talent in the world. It's time to let them play. Both these guys' first round picks. Let the talent flourish,

Speaker 5198.08s - 246.34s

and we're starting to see it. And batting two and three in the lineup, which is big for Marc Katsi PERSON. We'll talk about both of those guys with Bobby Crosby PERSON a little bit later on your pregame show, Towning PERSON. And I think the versatility for Nevin is great to be able to play left and right and first and third. And Bladay, and we talked about it last night on the post game on the clubhouse show, Chris PERSON. And the ace hope is that what happened last nightis going to kind of catapult him forward because he's played very good defense. He wasn't having a great year offensively. Let's face it, before last night. But then, you know, the two home runs, and that has to really buoy his confidence, especially because the second one came off a lefty, and he'd been struggling against left-handed pitching this year.

Speaker 16246.76s - 267.96s

You have a great call, and I'll talk to you after the ball game. All right, buddy. Coming up next, the manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Derek Shelton PERSON always joins us, whether it's the A's taken on the Pirates or it's the winter meetings. We just had them on in Nashville this last December. Shelty, as we like to call, and we'll join us next right here on A's Total Access ORG.

Boy, the pirates have not been playing good baseball. They have lost 15 of their last 20, dating back to April 9th. We had the manager of the pirates yesterday on A's Cast Live, Derek Shelton PERSON. We joke because Commander Cody, obviously, a part of the A's and A's Cast Live, grew up in Pittsburgh, huge fan, knows Derek Shelton PERSON. So we talked about how we're always talking about the pirates out here.

Speaker 9405.56s - 415.44s

It's always good to talk to you guys. I mean, I get you at the winter meetings every year, which is fun. But I appreciate the support. I mean, I know, Cody, being from Pittsburgh GPE, we get it. But appreciate it. Always like being on with you.

Speaker 16415.62s - 431.08s

And you mentioned somebody who means so much to us. You know, when you'd come to town, you'd talk to Ray Fawsey PERSON. And obviously, Ray PERSON is someone that meant so much. I was with Ray PERSON every single day. That was like a tradition for so many people who would come to Oakland GPE. You would be on the

Speaker 9431.08s - 463.6s

pregame show with Ray. Oh yeah. It was one of the highlights. I mean, actually, it's the first time I've been back at the Coliseum, you know, since his passing just with the way, you know, COVID has been and not being back. And, you know, the fact that Ray PERSON and my dad grew up playing against each other in Southern Illinois GPE, played up playing against each other in Southern Illinois, played Legion ORG ball against each other. Wow.But just being able to talk to him and learn from him, I mean, he was a special person. Not only in the game, I know in the A's ORG community, but to my family, because, you know, growing up, he was the one guy. My dad always pointed at it was like, hey, I played in, you know, high school against this guy, and, you know, he had a great career.

Speaker 16464s - 476.28s

Yeah, we miss the big guy. We love Ray Fawsey PERSON. Well, here we go again with the Pirates, got out to a hot start, looked like a really good start, and now hovering around 500. Interesting series against the Giants ORG. How you feel about your club right now?

Speaker 9476.28s - 497.66s

Yeah, I mean, we started out really well. We scored a ton of runs early. We're in a situation right now where we're scuffling to score runs a little bit. We've pitched well the entire year. We've got to capitalize on some opportunities. It seemed like early in the year, every ball we put in play or every ball that we hit with runners in scoring position, found a hole, and now we're on the flip side of that right now, and we just have to keep grinding through it.

Speaker 16497.86s - 509.46s

A ORGnd it's such a tough question because I deal with you, you guys are very similar to the A's when you look at hitting with runners in position. I ask Mark Cautze. I mean, it's a tough question. How when you look at hitting with runners in scoring position. I ask Mark Cate PERSON. I mean, it's a tough question. How do you get better scoring with runners in position?

Speaker 9509.62s - 529.06s

It's such a fluid thing. You'll see guys one year that are really good at it, one year or not. I mean, there's very few guys that consistently, sometimes it has to do with luck. Sometimes it has to do with the situation of the game. Sometimes it's just how you're feeling. I think the biggest thing for us is we have to continue to create those opportunitiesbecause the more you create them, at some point something good is going to happen.

Speaker 16529.22s - 542.28s

Well, I look at your division and everybody's got a puncher's chance. It's one of the more interesting. Obviously, Cubs ORG out to a good start. They thought the turnover in Milwaukee GPE, but they keep it going. Cardinals ORG are around there, you're around there. How do you feel about the division?

Speaker 9542.38s - 562.68s

Yeah, I think it is. I mean, people, you know, we need to realize it's not even May yet. So there's a lot. I mean, we've played in our division three games so far, four games so far, you know, we haven't played teams. Like you said, there's some teams that have gotten off to good starts, other teams that are scuffling, but it's going to be a fun division all summer long. Well, I think about the arms, too,

Speaker 16562.76s - 575.4s

you have for the future, the kid you threw yesterday in San Francisco GPE, the kid you got, I'm sure you're tired about asking, I'm not going to ask you about the guy from LSUs ORG or everybody, but I mean, you have to be pretty excited. You've got some dynamic arms that are going to be with you for a long time.

Speaker 9575.72s - 594.8s

We were really excited. I mean, like you said, you highlighted Jones who threw yesterday. We have Skeens who's still in AAA, and we have guys even below it, Bubba Tanler PERSON in AA and Anthony Solimettel that's in AA, along with, you know, Keller, we'll get Oviedo back next year who had Tommy John PERSON. Pitching wise, we're in a good spot. You know, we've done a really good job of building depth up.

Speaker 16594.88s - 610.64s

We just have to continue to develop them. And you mentioned being fickle when you talk about the offense. Bullpen's two. Year to year, you just never know. We've had some times where we've had liked out bullpen. We thought the next season going in would be the same. It just doesn't happen. How do you feel about your bullpen right now?

Speaker 9610.64s - 636.04s

I feel good about it. I mean, it's young. We have a bunch of young guys. We have five rookies that are down there, and they're getting thrown in some roles where they have to pitch and leverage, and that's only going to make them better. But your point is right. The bullpen is probably the most fickle place of anything. I mean, you know, having spent all those years in Tampa GPE as a hitting coach, they were probably the best builder of bullpins of anybody. But it was different people every year. So you have to, you know, kind of find the hot hand and ride them.

Speaker 16636.24s - 654.2s

It was all, it's been amazing what they've been doing. They're all these years in Tampa GPE. Let's end on this. You're on the road trip. A's ORG are coming off the road. We talk with Marc Codzai PERSON.We talked with Bob Melvin PERSON over the years about it. There's something special being out on that road early where you guys are in the same plane. You're traveling together. It's buses. It's restaurants.

Speaker 9657.56s - 686.38s

Talk about what a road trip really can do for a team and bringing them together. Yeah, it's just camaraderie in general. I mean, we're on a strange one right now. Like you said, we just played the Giants. Now we're playing the A's. So we're in the same hotel for six days. So you get a lot of time together. You don't have to get on a lot of time together. You know, we didn't have to get on a plane last night to travel after the Giants series, which is nice. So you get, you know, multiple day games. You get nights together where, you know, guys can go out and spend some time together, especially early in the season when, you know, the team's finding out those relationships. Do you encourage it or do you let it happen organically?

Speaker 16686.68s - 688.8s

No, I think we encourage guys to be together,

Speaker 9688.92s - 703.18s

but you can't force guys to hang out with each other. And I think the one thing that we have that's really cool is we have a lot of players that came up through our system together. And because of that, they've known each other for a long time. So it's good that they're able to kind of have that friendship.

Welcome back to A's Total Access, presented by Chevron, here on A's Cast and the A's Radio Network ORG. Jessica Kleinschmidt here, game three, the final game of a series, hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates ORG. Here's part two of my interview with Ryan Noda PERSON. Here he talks about his confidence despite the down numbers.

Speaker 3853.46s - 902.96s

You know, if I'm making good plays in the field, it helps out win the box and vice versa. So everything's going to come around, you know. It's definitely been a little more stressful than I wanted it to be. But it's still going to come around it's still going to be there and I know I'm a good player and I know I can be really really really good at this gameand help the team win more games and I think our only goal now is just to keep grinding as a unit because at the end of the day like we all just want to be in the playoffs and we know we have to start you know having more quality at bats and yesterday yesterday it was kind of a momentum swing for us in the box because, yeah, we only had, what, nine hits, but we had, I think, six situational jobs done yesterday. And only one wasn't. So that's huge. That's doing the small things and the little things for the boys.

Speaker 2903.94s - 910.76s

And you mentioned, you know, you believe that you're a good player. Is that an attitude that you've had the entirety of your career? Have you had to learn that over time?

Speaker 3911.26s - 935.04s

Yeah, it's definitely the entirety of my career. Ever since I was probably like five, you know, it helps with my parents, but my dad has always pushed me to believe that notice can do anything. And so that's kind of been driving me more. So just kind of remembering, like, everything I've been through my life. So just keep pushing through.

Speaker 2935.34s - 936.84s

Notice can do everything. I love that.

Speaker 3936.98s - 938.4s

Yeah, 100%.

Speaker 2938.4s - 948.76s

Tell me a little bit more about the addition of Tyler Nevin PERSON, because you talked about a little bit, but for him to just come over here, not know any of the guys, slow start, but figuring things out, his bat has certainly made an impact.

Speaker 3949.54s - 1011.44s

Yeah, you know, I think him being with a couple of organizations the past two years, it's definitely a little fuel under him and coming here. And, you know, we're all in this locker room. We're all very, you know, kind and together. And we just kind of, you know, pieced him into the puzzle. And he, you know, he's a great human being, great person, great ballplayer can play anywhere. We put him. And, you know, him at the box right now is, is helping a lot. And he's been filling in that two hole pretty well and having quality at bats. And I think if we just keep feeding off that, kind of like we did a little bit last year when we had some of the young guys kind of come up and just having good quality at bats, it really helped the camaraderie of the team. And I think he's done a good job of doing that. And hopefully he can keep it going. And hopefully all the boys around them, and including myself, can get going as well because if the offense gets going, then we can be a pretty dangerous team going into the rest of the season. And you talk about this clubhouse, and you mentioned

Speaker 21011.44s - 1030.98s

it last year, even with 112 losses, there was still a good vibe in the clubhouse, and obviously that shows right now. What is it about this team that the confidence is there? I know you guys hang out outside of the clubhouse. How are you guys still getting along? And how does that play into factor of your success? I think you hit it, you know, the head on the nail

Speaker 31030.98s - 1086.8s

right there. It's just we hang out all the time. And, you know, on the road, we find time. So, you know, everyone goes into one room and hangs out and play some video games. PGA tour has been our game right now. And so I think that's huge, you know, getting everyone together. And it kind of started last year with Tony PERSON and, you know, him passing it down to me and being able like, hey, like when the boys get together more, like you fight more together. And so I think it's huge, you know, we're going to keep doing that. And we're just going to keep, you know, enjoying our time together. And I think that's one thing that we have to do because, you know, we're going to keep doing that and we're just going to keep, you know, enjoying our time together. And I think that's one thing that we have to do because, you know, a lot of guys have families. And, you know, you have to make this clubhouse your family. And I think we've done a really good job of doing that. And we're going to keep doing that. And, you know, we hold each other accountable. And I think that helps with hanging out outside of the field. So we get to know each other even better. So I just think we keep doing that.

Speaker 21087.78s - 1102.7s

Sky's the limit for us. That was part two of my interview with Ryan Noda PERSON. You can hear the entire interview wherever you can get podcast on A's Unfiltered ORG. Gorgeous day at the Coliseum. The A ORG's wrap up their series with the pirates.

Speaker 181169.12s - 1183.9s

We visit with a member of the A's bullpen, Mitch Spence, who got to win last night, three scoreless settings as the A's kind of hell. The Ford ORG came back and won late. Mitch, first, the 30,000 foot view. What's it been like being a part of this bullpen because everybody has contributed to this impressive street?

Speaker 261184.5s - 1192.3s

It's been a lot of fun. I mean, we've got a really good group of guys down there, and, you know, it's been awesome being a part of it, and, you know, let's just keep it rolling.

Speaker 181192.9s - 1206.06s

Mitch, when I talk with you in spring training, I asked you, who are you leaning on what was going to potentially be a different role out of the bullpen? You said I spent a lot of time with Ross Stripling PERSON. Now as it's been a month into the season, what are the things you're loading about what you've been asked to do in the bullpen?

Speaker 261206.72s - 1222.52s

I think the biggest adjustment has been, like, you know, especially being a long guy, you'll go, you know, five, six days without come out of the bullpen. And so, you know, finding times to get off the mound to continue to feel the slopeand be comfortable on it so that when your name gets called, you know, you're ready to go.

Speaker 181222.72s - 1230.4s

How different a pitcher are you from the guy that showed up in camp, a new team, a new organization, as a World Five EVENT guy, trying to make the club to the guy that sits here on May 1st?

Speaker 261231.2s - 1243.76s

I mean, I wouldn't say I'm that much of a different pitcher. My stuff's the same, and, you know, my mentality hasn't changed. It's just, you know, kind of getting comfortable in the role I'm in and going out there and giving everything I have.

Speaker 181244s - 1250.74s

What's that process been like knowing that I believe that my stuff that gave me this opportunity is going to be effective at the highest level?

Speaker 261251.4s - 1261.08s

I think it's kind of like a blind confidence. You know, you kind of got to go in and just trust your stuff and, you know, and trust that it's going to play at this level and then just going out there and see what happens.

Speaker 181261.32s - 1272.8s

What have your sequencing situation been like with fastball that has run, has cut to it? You've got a sinker as well. You've got the cutter. You've got that curb ball that comes out of nowhere and really surprises guys. What's it been like figuring out

Speaker 261272.8s - 1278.08s

the best way to attack hitters? I think just going based off of what I've done in the past,

Speaker 181278.16s - 1282.64s

then making adjustments as we go. A lot of it comes down to like the scouting that we do before the

Speaker 261282.64s - 1289.82s

games and finding places with certain hitters just throw different pitches. But, I mean, really it comes down to pitching to your strengths.

Speaker 181290.28s - 1299.56s

Everybody talks about when a player, in your case, a pitcher comes to the big leagues for the very first time. It's all about, quote, unquote, slowing the game down. How has that process been for you?

Speaker 261300.6s - 1313.9s

I mean, the biggest thing is just to breathe out there. I think the first outing I went out, everybody was like, just make sure you breathe. But, you know, just realizing it's the same game, trying to just, when you're out there, tune out all the noise and focusing on the hitter.

Speaker 181314.06s - 1320.04s

What are the conversations been like down to that bullpen with a group of guys that were kind of thrown together? Boy, it's been fun to watch.

Speaker 261321.16s - 1330.96s

I mean, it's been a lot of fun. You know, I think we kind of gel really well. We've been clicking, and, you know, we just keep it light during the game. And then, you know, when guys are ready to go in, they just lock it in and go out there and do their job.

Speaker 181331.22s - 1348.24s

You know, we watch Lucas PERSON have the great stretch. He's had certainly Mason Miller PERSON getting a lot of attention. And the thing is those guys have, you know, a certain way of attacking hitters, but some very explosive stuff. Your stuff works as well. And the trust in the confidence believing that your stuff works, when you're watching guys that do things that nobody else is doing in the big

Speaker 261348.24s - 1365.14s

leagues. What has that been like? I mean, it's been a lot of fun to watch those guys. I mean, I think I gave the example of they're playing MLB ORG, the show on rookie mode right now where they're going out there and just throwing stuff by people. I mean, it's been a lot of fun to watch those too. Mitch PERSON, it's only been lot of fun to watch those too.

Speaker 181365.5s - 1378.04s

Mitch, it's only been one month, but what has the month been like for you? Just the experience, being in different ballparks, playing across the country, different times. So it's getting an opportunity to be in a big league uniform day to day out. How have you made the most of this opportunity?

Speaker 261378.64s - 1405.78s

I mean, I'm just trying to take it all in. You know, when I get to a new ballpark, I come here, and I try and, you know, take in the views and really experience everything. And then, you know, like I said, a new ballpark, I come here and I try and, you know, take in the views and really experience everything. And then, you know, like I said, just trying, what is my, when it's my turn to go out there and pitch, just doing the job the best that I can. But, you know, it's, it's like I'm walking on clouds right now. You know, it's, it's been everything I've expectedand more. And it's, it's kind of hard to put into words how, how awesome it really is to be at this level.

Speaker 181405.98s - 1413.04s

The A's are hot. We know that, but I got to play this for you, because the kid down in Midland GPE is really smoking hot. Midland beat Amarillo yesterday, 14 to 4 in AA ORG. Jacob Wilson continues to hit.

Speaker 131547.8s - 1556.62s

A 1 hammered to deep left. Wilson is going to leave the building at Hottstown GPE. His third home run of the year, and now it's 10 to 2.

Speaker 161558.3s - 1610.86s

Yeah, he, 2 for 6. That home runs for RBI. He's leading all AA players, all of them with a 409 average. Just had to play that for you. Athletics have won three straight. Beautiful Wednesday as the is go for the sweep of the Pirates as the A ORG's continue in interleague play.

Speaker 51680.3s - 1695.68s

And Bobby Crosby PERSON is with us. And Bobby, we were just talking off mic about the ball club starting 1 and 6 and 13 and 10 since then. What are the one or two factors that you look at to point toward the turnaround by the club?

Speaker 111696.24s - 1713.78s

I think the mindset of the guys. I think guys have kind of settled in, relaxed. The guys in the bullpen have obviously been awesome, and I think everyone kind of knows their role at this point, and the young guys are starting to feel like, you know, you look at it, it looks like they feel like it's just baseball again, and they're not putting too much pressure this is going on and having fun.

Speaker 51714.08s - 1722.22s

Yeah, I mean, that's the big factor. Now, you were a right-handed hitter. Can you imagine getting in there in the eighth and ninth innings and facing Lucas Erseg and Mason Miller PERSON?

Speaker 111722.74s - 1742.98s

No, he sounds awful. I mean, I wasn't a big fan of the two seamer. Lucas coming in at 99 and 100 with the two seamer. That's not, no one wishes that. And then Mason PERSON is Mason. I mean, they're both incredible. And to have that knowing we've got a league going into the 8th, it's a lot of fun.

Speaker 51742.98s - 1748.92s

It's like if you keep it close, that has to build confidence on a ball club knowing you have those guys at the back end.

Speaker 111749.22s - 1766.42s

Yeah. And you know if the game is somewhat in hand or we got a lead by one or even if we're down by one, we know, hey, we just need one or two here and we got those guys. And along with Austin PERSON and T.J. And some of the other guys at Mitch PERSON, I mean, you just go up and down. Everyone's, you know, doing awesome in their role. It's exciting.

Speaker 51766.72s - 1774.58s

Plus, offensively, I don't know, maybe, you know, Tyler Nevin PERSON for the last three weeks might be the A ORG's best position player. What have you seen from him?

Speaker 111774.94s - 1789.86s

Hits the ball as all fields. You know, he gets into a spot where he gets runners in a scoring position, and he uses the right side of the field, which I love. I mean, he's an all-around hitter, and then he takes a shot to left field when he needs to,but he's hitting the ball where they pitch it, and that's huge for a guy.

Speaker 51789.9s - 1796.84s

Is there something that makes a guy versatile defensively? Because Nevin PERSON's played left, he's played right, he's played first, and he's played third.

Speaker 111797.38s - 1815.2s

Being a good athlete. I mean, you look at him, and he's an all-around athlete, and Schumann PERSON's the same way. You get a guy who, you know, maybe grew up at third basement or a shortstop and then they learn to play outfield. I mean, it's something that comes with time, but also if you're a good athlete and you can playall positions, it's a benefit to us and a benefit to the player as well.

Speaker 51815.5s - 1823.92s

Is it great for you to see a guy like Nevin, Bobby, who was drafted nine years ago, and right now just looking for a chance to establish himself in the big leagues?

Speaker 111824.16s - 1847.72s

Yeah, it's awesome. I mean, he's such a great dude and to come here and for a chance to establish himself in the big leagues. Yeah, it's awesome. I mean, he's such a great dude and to come here and get an opportunity to play. And, you know, when he's gotten his opportunity, he's killed it. You know, so for a guy like that who is itching to get in there and play and itching to play at the big league level for him to have success here and do things the right way. And ever since he's been here, he's done things the right way. He's fitting with the club. You know, he's tight with all the guys, so it's awesome to see him have success.

Speaker 51847.94s - 1853s

J.J. Bladay, Bobby, with a big night last night, the two home runs and free RBIs. Can that be

Speaker 111853s - 1869.16s

something that propels him forward? I hope so. He's one of our young guys that, you know, we're going to count on for a long time here. So if you can, you know, have that stroke, especially the second one off the lefty. I mean, you do that and hit that to right center the way he hit that ball. That's, you know,

Speaker 51869.16s - 1883.94s

that's got to build confidence in him. How much can that, I mean, because Gianba PERSON used to talk about how when he was struggling, he liked to face lefties because it made him stay in there a little bit more with his front shoulder. Can that be a positive? For sure. You know, you know, JJ PERSON can get

Speaker 111883.94s - 1896.46s

spinning at times like a lot of hitters. And if he can stay inside the ball like he did and hit the ball at a left center, and like obviously last night it was the right center. But for some guys, it's that one little clicker, that one little thing that can get him back locked in.

Speaker 51896.7s - 1905.14s

How do you look at his play in center field? You know, to me, he's grown and especially with his ability to recognize the wall and go back on balls.

Speaker 111905.36s - 1930.06s

Yeah, it's something he's taken pride in since the first day of spring. He's asked questions. He's leaned on myself. He's leaned on cots and he's leaned on a lot of guys on how he can improve. And he's out there. If you watch him during BP, he's the one guy that's out there every single day working on his jumps, working on going back on balls. I mean, we've worked on wall balls. We've worked on numerous things on his outfield play. So it didn't happen by, you know, happenstance. It happened because he's busted his butt and worked hard at it.

Speaker 51930.18s - 1932.86s

What's the key to being really good at going back on a ball?

Speaker 111933.48s - 1934.38s

Your first jump.

Speaker 51934.68s - 1937.56s

I mean, you get that good, good read off the ball, and you bust it.

Speaker 111937.58s - 1941.68s

You bust it. You don't drift back and look at the ball in the air.

Speaker 51941.8s - 1944.6s

You know, you get that good first jump and you run to a spot

Speaker 111944.6s - 1946.04s

and then pick up the ball again.

Speaker 51946.12s - 1947.88s

He's really worked out on it and it's showing.

Speaker 111948.42s - 1950.24s

Okay, Townie, and that's Bobby Crosby PERSON.

Speaker 51950.52s - 1954.12s

Is in the Pirates on this Wednesday and we'll send things back over to you.

Speaker 161954.76s - 1992.2s

I love it. Bobby Crosby on the third day for every series. Come on. What a player he was. What a manager he was in the minor leagues. And I do believe we'll be a manager at some point in Major League Baseball ORG.But we've got an awesome day. It doesn't get any better than this. It's absolutely perfect. The weather, let's get it going. Day Baseball, we're about to have the anthem. The A's are trying to make it three straight against the Pirates.A ORG's baseball coming your way next right here on A's cast and the A's radio network. And don't you forget, I'll talk to you after the ball game.

Speaker 141992.98s - 1995.96s

This has been a presentation of the Oakland Athletics ORG.
