An interesting statistic that 10 years ago, I don't remember a lot of people bringing that stat up. It's exploded in popularity as a talking point. It represents reality to a certain extent. When you have a small sample size with net rating, borderline subjective, not borderline,it is, it's subjective, it may or may not represent reality. But when you're talking about five-man lineups, now you're getting objective because the net rating represents the team that's actually on the floor. I also, one of the debt rating stats that does entertain me, and I think does tell a picture to a certain extent, is duo.So for today's show, I'm going to recap the year that was for the Golden State Warriors ORG in terms of who led the team and who did worse for the team in net rating in three categories, five-man lineups, duos, and individuals. Because again, while net rating is a very subjective stat, over the course of a year of an entire season, you do start to get a pretty accurate picture.Paul, by the way, who I read his comment just a moment ago, adding, you're moving to Arizona GPE. Ooh, good luck with a heap, bud. But you're getting season tickets to the Golden State Warriors ORG. Are you trying to say you're getting season tickets to the Sons ORG? And they're going to watch those two Warriors ORG games a year when they're there in addition to all the other teams.Because what you wrote doesn't make sense. Rico Suave writes, Jared Allen for Wiggins PERSON. Here's a thing with that. We had a big Clifford Ray, former Warrior Center, part of the 75 championship team. He's got a children's book out right now, recommend it. He's also working with the Cleveland Cavaliers ORG.Jared Allen was very briefly mentioned as a potential target for teams as the trade deadline approached. And the Cavaliers ORG quickly shut that down. Clifford Ray PERSON was on this program confirming he is not available, but times change. Things change. And even though the Cavaliers right now are looking good, they're up to one in the magic in that series, at a certain point, that team is going to have to reckon with reality, which is this.A front court of Jared Allen PERSON and Evan Mobley probably not going to work. You've got a log jam there, just like the Warriors ORG have a log jam at the wing position. We'll talk about that in just a moment. And the point of that, brief thing I just said is if the Cavaliers ORG lose in the playoffs, whether it's to the magic or to the next round, if they make the Western Conference Finals EVENT, I don't think they're breaking up that team. But if they're eliminated, especially this round by Orlando GPE, maybe nextround, that team might want to talk about breaking things up. Jared Allen PERSON would be a phenomenal piece for the Golden State Warriors ORG. Now, granted, the Warriors have suddenly seen one of their own pieces, Trace Jackson Davis PERSON, emerge, and maybe that's a redundancy in and of itself. Or you could propose a trade to the Cavaliers in that comment. Andrew Wiggins PERSON was mentioned. You're going to have to throw in a lot more than Wiggins PERSON, who has virtually no trade value,but you add Trace Jackson Davis PERSON, and you add some other prizes in the mix. Maybe that's a reality. But personally speaking, while I love Jared Allen PERSON, if you want to be a title contender next year, you've got to get a much bigger name than that.You've got to get a Janus PERSON type, a Joel M. B. type and Anthony Davis type. And if you're not a world championship contender next year, what the hell is the point of keeping Clay, Chris Paul, and Andrew Wiggins PERSON on the same team together? We'll talk about that in just a little bit. But for now, let's talk about who let this team and who did not, who struggled on this team in terms of net rating.I want to start off with duos. Which two individual lineups, which two individuals representing a small part of a five-man lineup were the best and worst for this team. For much of the year, the duo that led the Warriors ORG in that rating was Brandon Pajemski and Trace Jackson Davis PERSON. It was a bizarre stat.And that number came back down to reality because, again, you need to look at this over the whole 82 game season. Brandon Pajamsky PERSON, by the way, I'll skip ahead and tell you this now. In terms of individuals led the Warriors ORG as a rookie in that rating, which is crazy. Plus 264. Now, as duos go, the number one duo for the Golden State Warriors ORG in terms of net rating.And I'm going to post all this on my Threads account to after the show in case you want to actually see a visual to go along with this. Number one duo, Jonathan Kaminga, Brandon Pajemski PERSON. They played 163 minutes together. They were a plus 170 as a duo this season. Meaning over the course of the year, those two, when they were on the court together, outscored the opponent by 170 points.That's the future of your team, ladies and gentlemen, and that is why when you bring up Kaminga PERSON and trade talks, unless it's for a megastar coming back, throw that crap away. It's a garbage idea. Kaminga PERSON's going to be a hell of a player. He'd be, I think even much further along than he is now if he had a coach who believed in him who actually knew how to develop talent.I digress. But him and Pajemski, both 21 years of age, they're separated by three months. They represent a very bright future for the Golden State Warriors ORG. They lead the Warriors in net rating with a plus 170. Number two among duos, Stefan Curry and Dreymond Green PERSON. That shouldn't surprise you, right? Those two, they're the staple of the dynasty. They're the core of it all. They're going to have statues built for them. The Draymont PERSON part's going to be interesting.I wonder how that's going to look. But Stefan Dre played 1,288 minutes together this year and were a plus 164. No surprise there. That's one of the greatest duos in NBA history. Number three duo in in terms of net rating, Stefan Curry and Jonathan Kaminga PERSON. Another awesome duo. They played 1,142 minutes together. They were a plus 146. Fourth, Draymond Green and Jonathan Kaminga PERSON. Played 699 minutes together.Dremond, whereas Steve Kerr takes no shame and publicly criticizing Kaminga PERSON, Draymond Green PERSON, on the other hand, the complete opposite, does nothing but praise this kid. Talks about how in the 2021 draft he pushed for the Warriors ORG to take him when they realized he was available. Talks about how Kaming PERSON is the present and the future of this team. Those two as a duo plus 137 and tied at plus 137 for the fifth best duo on the Warriors in terms of net rating, Moses Moody and Brandon Pajamsky PERSON.They played 546 minutes together this season. They were also a plus 137. Do you see a theme here, folks? If you don't, I'll tell you what that theme is. In four of the, I'm sorry, in three of the five top rated duos for the Warriors ORG, Jonathan Camiga's PERSON name is in there.For two of the five top duos, Brandon Pajemski and Stefan Curry are in there. The second worst duo this season in terms of net rating, Andrew Wiggins, Kvonne Looney. They played 622 minutes together. They were a minus 82.And I think you know very well who the worst duo on the Golden State Warriors is this year. I don't think there's any surprise. Before I actually announced that, Portola 45, writing Giovante Green, who a former member of the Santa Cruz Warriors, Bulls picked him up and he was bawling at the end of the season. Minimum 30 minutes play together. Fourth worst, Stefan Curry, Clay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kavana Looney PERSON.They played 140 minutes together this season, the third highest total. A year ago, they had the best net rating in the entire NBA. Granted, they didn't play together since December. But that fact is a fact. It's true. Two years ago, that five individual unit won a championship together. But again, aging happens.The mystery of Andrew Wiggins PERSON happens. Yeah, so father time is a bitch. Anyways, those five played 140 minutes together this year. They were a minus 20. Third worst five-man lineup. Chris Paul, Clay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Trace Jackson Davis, Brandon Pajamsky PERSON.That's a bizarre one. They played 33 minutes together. They were a minus 24. Tide ORG. Stefan Curry, Clay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Dario Sharich, Kvon Looney PERSON. Do you remember that lineup that Steve Kerr PERSON was, and that lineup, Steve Kerr wasbusting out routinely in November December because he thought Sharich PERSON could space the floor with his three-point shooting while also giving the team size. It worked for like a game. Ultimately, that five-man unit played 58 minutes together. They were a minus 24.The worst five-man lineup, they played 108 minutes together. Stefan Curry, and this one's a little surprising, Stephen Curry, Clay Thompson, Kavana, Luni PERSON, Jonathan Kaminga, Brandon Pajemski PERSON. 108 minutes played together. They were a minus 41. Those are your worst five-man lineups.Your best five-man lineups based on net rating. I actually went of seven deep here. We'll start with seven. Clay Thompson, Kvonne Looney, Jonathan Kaminga, Lester Kignonis PERSON. I want to see more of him next year. That kid can play.And Brandon Pajemski PERSON. They played 31 minutes together this season. Not a lot, but they were a plus 23 when they did play together. The sixth best five-band lineup for the Warriors. Chris Paul, Clay Thompson. Not a lot, but they were a plus 23 when they did play together. The sixth best five band lineup for the Warriors, Chris Paul, Clay Thompson, Dario Sharich PERSON, Jonathan Kaminga, Brandon Pajemski PERSON.They played 43 minutes together. They were a plus 33. The fifth best lineup, Chris Paul, Stefan Curry, Clay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins PERSON, Kvon Looney PERSON. They were a plus 40 this year. That's a bizarre one because that's basically the same five-man lineup that won the title two years ago,except you swap out Draymond Green for Chris Paul PERSON. But that lineup also played together mostly early in the season. Nonetheless, they were fifth. 93 minutes together were a plus 40. The fourth best lineup, Stefan Curry, excuse me, Clay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins PERSON, Trace Jackson Davis PERSON.They played 69 minutes together. They were a plus 42. Third best lineup, Chris Paul PERSON, Stefan Curry, Clay Thompson, Kvon Looney PERSON, Jonathan Kaminga PERSON. 63 minutes played together.They were a plus 46. The second best lineup for the Warriors this season. Stefan Curry, Clay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Camingo PERSON. And that's the lineup that I think started a lot of games, too. They played 157 minutes together. They were a plus 55.And the number one lineup this season, in terms of net rating, they played 232 minutes together. Stefan Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kaminga, Brandon Pajemski PERSON, 232 minutes played together. They were a plus 59. So some surprises there. Some surprises there.And last but not least, individuals. Individual ratings. This is just a single person and how they fare this season in terms of impacting the team. I mentioned this early in the show and I'll say it again. Brandon Pajemski, a rookie, led the Warriors in net rating this season with a plus 264. Second, Wardell, Stefan Curry, 189.Brandon Pajemski outscored Stefan Curry between one and two for the leaders in net rating by 75 points this year. Remarkable.And Brandon Pajemski PERSON is a warrior. How exciting is that? Number three for net rating, Dremont Green PERSON, plus 171. Fourth, Jonathan Cominga plus 125.Fifth, Chris Paul plus 110. Guy Santos was plus 16. And this is indicative of how much better the second half of the season was for Clay Thompson PERSON. Clay was routinely at or near the bottom of the net ratings, routinely second worst.I think you can guess who the worst is. I'll reveal that in just a second. But Clay Thompson ended the season in a positive plus seven. But still, it's a positive. So Clay finishes with a plus seven. Corey Joseph was a negative 12 before he got traded.Dario Scharch was a minus 21. And you can guess who is the absolute worst player in the Warriors in terms of net rating this season. Andrew Wiggins with a minus 58. And Adrian Gutierrez, I agree with you that Moses Moody did not get enough minutes this year. And that's where I really hope his role is expanded. The Warriors right now, this is without Clay Thompson PERSON. This is without Chris Paul PERSON. Because this contract is a team option, they're already $3 million over the cap. That's without Clay's contract. That's without Chris Paul's PERSON contract. Andrew Wiggins is going to make approximately $28 million next year. And that's why I don't see howWiggins PERSON stays. And that's why I think they're going to trade him probably also for a bag of potato chips, in this case being salt and vinegar. But, and that's also why I do feel strongly of those three, you're only going to see one of them with the Warriors next year. Because even if you keep just one, you're going to have to make other trades to get under the cap so you can use the mid-level exception.It's a massive dilemma.
