And it is crazy to think about the journey we've been on over these past couple of months, breaking down prospects, going through everybody, positions of need. We've kind of adjusted things throughout for agency. And now the draft is just days away. Thursday is when it kicks off. So today we're going to be talking about a kind of adjusted things throughout for agency. And now the draft is just days away. Thursday is when it kicks off. So today we're going to be talking about a bunch of different things. And the first part of the show, I really wanted to round out the mock draft Mondays by talking aboutrealistic options for the ravens PERSON. Now, obviously here on the show, we take a lot of what the mock draft simulator gives us, right? You try to dive in a different prospect each and every week, which we do, and we're going to do that a little bit more today. But I wanted to just look, there are realistic options for Baltimore ORG based off of positions of need, best player available, and what types of players Baltimore ORG is looking for. So we're going to go into those in the first part of the show. And then my mock draft for mock draft Monday will have some of those players and some of those traits involved in it.So that'll be the second part of the show. And then we will round it out with our mock draft mania. Again, mock drafts on Twitter where I put out the mock draft from mock draft Sunday. And then whoever comments on the quote tweet from mocked on Ravens ORG, I read those out just based off of how I see them. So all right, we'll dive into it. Last mock draft Monday, let's get it.Realistic draft options for the Ravens ORG. Now, we've talked a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot about the positions of need for Baltimore. And look, the big four, I've set it offensive line, corner, wide receiver, and edge. Those are the four I'm looking for. But realistically, when we're talking about options, I don't just mean players. I mean strategies. I mean positions that they could draft. When you talk about strategies, what does this Ravens ORG do well? What does this Ravens ORG team do at the top of the league where not a lot of teams, maybe not even any team can challenge them? Best player available. They do such a good job at it, not only planning for the year ahead, but planning for the future. And that's not going to change this year. It maybe might have a little bit of a twist on it because Baltimore does have so many positions of need. There are only really a couple that would be completehead scratchers and honestly would be completely terrible decisions. But the Ravens ORG understand they are. They're not taking a quarterback in the first round. They're not going to take a tight end in the first round. But realistically, I do think depending on how the board falls, there are a couple of door course, I guess, opportunities is the word I'll use for the Ravens ORG to go out there and get a talented player. We've talked all the time about tackles. We have highlighted tackles. We have talked about them. But the Ravens ORG mighteven take an interior offensive lineman this year. And I've been kind of thinking about that over the past maybe week or a couple of weeks or so where I think we've been so focused on the tackles because, well, they've lost Morgan Moses. Ronnie Stanley PERSON is not a long-term piece. And that was a big area of struggle at times on last year, especially in that rotation. We're so focused on that. Plus, tackles are very important. But we have to remember the Ravens did lose two guards, their starting guards, John Simpson and Kevin Zitler PERSON. So they couldn't, especially if they want to take a tackle and move that guy inside, if maybe their foot speed isn't up to par, breaking out of their stance, maybe they want to move some guys inside. Maybe the length, the Ravens ORG are a very big arm length team for the most part, especially at the tackle position. Pasha McCarrey PERSON is kind of the exception. Maybe they want to move that guy inside. It is certainly possible Baltimore ORG could take an interior offensive lineman. Now, how realistic is that? I don't necessarily know, but honestly, what I'm thinking here is defense.Defense to me is I've been thinking about dealing. We've talked about tackles. We've talked about wide receivers. But defense just, it feels like the Ravens ORG might want to go through defensive option here. And look, the ones that we've talked about corner and edge, those are the two big needs of a Kulay McKinjee PERSON falls to them.Maybe if a guy like a Chop Robinson falls to them. Now, defensive line is an interesting one. I don't think Baltimore takes a defensive lineman in the first round. I am okay if Baltimore ORG takes a defensive lineman towards the middle portion of the draft. Now, there are a lot of good defensive linemen in this class. Johnny Newton PERSON has kind of been heralded as the guy who could potentiallyfall into Baltimore ORG's range, but defensive line is not a position of need necessarily. Now, we go back to 2021. Well, Kyle Hamilton PERSON was not a position of need at safety, right? But the Ravens went out there. They drafted him. And now he slots in there and certainly does have a massive role in this defense. And it's worked out that way a lot of times with BPA. But I do think that it's a little different this year. Not that they're not going to try to take BPAs because they are going to.I think BPA intertwines with need a lot more this season than maybe in a couple of years past. Because, I mean, look, right off the bat, four positions of needs for them, oh, well, that guy has to be PA, then awesome. Interior offensive lineman, well, that's also a position. And you kind of take a safety, which I don't think you should take a safety, but that's technically a position of need. The Ravens ORG have a lot of needs. Now, in terms of players that I think could be realistic, wide receiver-wise, we know the Ravens ORG are looking for a bigger-bodied wide receiver, or at least that that's what they should be looking for. But Eric Costa PERSON has said, speed is the key. He wants to build that track and field offense, the track offense that just blows teams out of the water. Baltimore, I don't think Xavier Worthy is a guy the Ravens ORG will be looking at, but if they want to build that track team, Xavier Worthy PERSON would be the selection on the offensive line. And we've talked a lot about guys like Ameris Mims, Drefautanu, Talis Fulaga PERSON, but those guys aren't going to be there. The more realistic options at the tackle position, first round tackles, Tyler Guyton, Jordan Morgan.

Speaker 3486.44s - 490.44s

There are a couple of other guys as well, but those are the realistic guy.

Speaker 1490.52s - 1049.4s

Wide receiver even, again, A.D. Mitchell, I think, is going to go before 30. Keown Coleman PERSON, I think, will be there. So he's probably a realistic option. I think Xavier Leggett PERSON will be available. Now, I'm having a sneaking suspicion. Ligette is going to be taken at the end of the first round. So if Baltimore wants to get him, what my opinion on him right now is you might have to take him at 30, but we'll see what ends up happening with that. But other than that, the realistic way that the Ravens ORG can also do things is trading back. I do think realistically, Baltimore ORG, there is a good shot. I'm not saying, oh, it's the most, the most realistic option I think Baltimore ORG does is they stick and pick. But I do think it is also, you look at the options. Realistically, I can see Baltimore ORG trading back. It's not really hard to see why, especially if theywant more draft capital. They don't move back too far. And there are a bunch of guys on their board they feel like they can take at 30. Realistically, I would think Baltimore would want an additional either second or third round pick to move back a couple of spots. Maybe some 2025 draft capital in the terms of a second or third round pick there. Could work out really well for them, especially with the offensive tackle class being so deep, the wide receiver class having options on all three days. This is a very deep class being so deep, the wide receiver classhaving options on all three days. This is a very deep class at the positions, for the most part, for the most part, that the Ravens ORG actually need. And that to me is a big advantage point for the Ravens because some years you might need an offensive lineman or an offensive tackle. And the class is just terrible. There's just no, there's nothing. But the Ravens ORG have been very fortunate, at least in this draft cycle, to have it be the way where a lot of these guys probably would have gone, like top 20-ish, top 25-ish. But there are going to be options for Baltimore ORG. I also expect them realistically to take a running back in this class. Not early. I would not be loving if they took them running back early. But I think later in this draft, I think day three is where I'm realistically targeting a running back for them. So we're going to see there. But Baltimore ORG, in my opinion, their roster right now. And this is a great way to fill it.It's what they call cause control contracts. Right. That's kind of the phrase everybody uses. It's cost control contracts, rookie players, younger guys, but players that can be NFL ORG ready. And I think we're going to see a mix for the Ravens, projects and NFL ready players. The difference here is realistically, Baltimore ORG cannot afford to take a project with theirfirst round pick. And I'm not saying that first round picks can be projects and not play because they can. I'm also not saying first round picks can be projects and not play because they can. I'm also not saying first round picks and be projects and not help competitive teams win because they also can. But in my opinion, we are in the Lamar Jackson PERSON window, the Lamar Jackson Prime. You got to take advantage of that if you're the Ravens ORG.And if you're drafting an offensive line on the first round to sit behind somebody for a year, that that can't be what it is. It can't be. You can't be. You can kick a guy inside and have them start. That's totally fine. If you think the skill set is there, if you're the Ravens, then okay. You know, be my guess. The 100% okay with that. But you can't draft somebody to sit behind somebody else for a year. And I don't think they're going to do that. But again, realistically, we know where we are if you're the Ravens ORG, right? If you're the Ravens you're telling yourself, we're in the window. This is the window. Got to capitalize on it.And I think the Ravens are telling themselves that. But for Baltimore ORG, a lot of decisions ahead for sure. And coming up in the second part of the show, we'll dive into my mock draft Monday with some realistic options for the Ravens ORG. Kevin Allsucker still talking with you here on this Monday, this mock draft Monday. It's the final one. It's crazy. You know, we go through all this process and then it just stops. It's over and we'll be done with it after today's show. But of course, we'll be back with it for 2025, although that is many, many, many, many months. I still got to get to the 2024 draft.Let's get to my final mock draft of this whole draft cycle. Now, again, I tried to be realistic with this and tried to get prospects that we haven't talked about so far yet on the show. Now, there is some overlap, but I tried my best. So with number 30, I ended up taking Tyler Geithen, the offensive lineman from Oklahoma GPE. We haven't talked about Tyler Geithen PERSON on the show yet. He's a player, I think,'s been widely mocked to the Ravens. He'd be a really good option for Baltimore ORG, in my opinion, and I think he's realistic. Again, we've talked about Ameriast Mims PERSON, talked about all those guys. Mims is the first, like, okay, maybe he could fall to 30, but I'm not expecting him to. Tyler Guyton PERSON, I expect him. I think honestly what it's going to be, is it's going to be a pick or you have an option if you're Baltimore ORG.If you stay at 30, I think Tyler Guyton PERSON will be there. I think Jordan Morgan will be there. Now, Morgan PERSON, there's a lot of debate about where he'll play, whether it's offensive tackle or just guard if you want to kick him inside. But I think Guyton PERSON is a really good option. He would probably be taken somewhere in the early to mid-20s instead of the 30s here, early 30s, if it was a lesser offensive line class. But he's someone that can fill in right away, a plug-and-play guy. And also, there is some versatility, depending on what happens with Ronnie Stanley next year. If you do want to move him over to the left side, that is another possibility for them. So I think Guyton PERSON would be a really good option. Again, it's not like the flashy pick or the exciting pick, but look, we know the Raymond PERSON's need offensive line.We know it's a deep offensive line class. Baltimore ORG does need a plug and play tackle unless you want to go with Daniel Follelaire there, which is fine. I want to give him a chance. I'm personally a big Follelaide guy, but I think Gaiton is a solid option here at 30. Next to 62, I think this is my most controversial pick of the entire draft. So get ready for this one. We haven't talked about him. He's a wide receiver. Ladd-McConkie out of Georgia. Now, this goes against everything, literally everything. This goes against everything I've been preaching on this show for the past two months, essentially, which is Baltimore ORG needs that big bodied receiver, go up there, catch contested passes. Ladd McConkey PERSON is not that player. Now, he's really good. He's a really good player. He stands around that 5-11, 6-foot range is around 185 pounds. So again, not the frame I've been looking for, not the height I've been looking for, not the skill set I've been looking for. But McConkey is someone who has started to get late first round buzz, maybe like later first round or early second. If this is a pick that the Ravens can make it 62, this is the definitionof best player available meeting a need. It's not necessarily perfect in terms of the marriage of okay, he's not a jump ball, bigger body receiver receiver, but he is super shifty, super speedy and really talented. And again, if Eric Acosta PERSON wants to build that track team, if he wants to have that speed, McConkey and Zay Flowers PERSON is deadly. It would be a nightmare for teams, especially in the short and intermediate game. And we saw Flowers work the deep stuff a lot last season, which I hopefully, well, I hope he gets some of that next season as well, hopefully more of it too. Now, maybe with this pick, the Ravens ORG say to themselves, you know what? We feel good enough. If this is them talking on draft night, they say we feel good enough with Mark Andrews PERSON. And Isaiah likely is bigger body players. Rashad Bateman is, I guess that would be the bigger-bodied player, although he's not, he's kind of, he's a little bit slender in terms of his frame. So again, it must be something along the lines of we trust Mark Angeles PERSON and Isaiah likely to be our bigger-bodied pass catchers, which they have done in the past.I mean, that's what they've been kind of working with. But I think McConkey PERSON's a really good player. It's just about finding the right skill set. I don't think he necessarily has that. But again,

Speaker 01049.66s - 1052.18s

if McConkey is available at 62,

Speaker 11052.38s - 1406.06s

you pick him and just figure it out because he's that good of a player. Now, Roger Rosengarten PERSON, the offensive tackle from Washington was my pick at 93. I think you can also, if you pick Guyton and Rosengarten with two of your first three picks, I think you can toy with the idea of maybe moving one inside. And that depends on, again, how you feel about a Ben Cleveland PERSON, feel about it, Andrew Voorhees PERSON, some of those other guys who are competing for these spots who were already on the roster. But to me, it feels a lot better. Again, if you want to develop a guy, like if you're waiting for that guy to develop to be the left tackle of the future, I'd feel a lot more confident if Guyton PERSON is your plug and play, and then you can sit Rosengarten for a year behind Ronnie Stanley PERSON.You can kick one of the guys inside, like I talked about. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Ravens used two of their first three picks on an offensive lineman. And again, this also goes with what I was saying in the first part of the show, where a lot of people have been overlooking the offensive line, well, not the offensive line, but the interior offensive line for the Ravens ORG, where I think it's kind of set in stone for a lot of people before the training camphappened. I said, oh, yeah, it's going to be Ben Cleveland, going to be Andrew Voorhees PERSON, and it's set. Nothing is set right now, right? I think those guys have the inside track at those jobs. If we were to just make up a depth chart right now,I would probably predict that Cleveland and Voorhees PERSON have those inside tracks, the guard jobs and them whatever tackle the Ravens ORG take, if it's an early tackle, that guy would have the inside track on that right tackle spot. But again, we're not there yet. But I think Rosengarten is a really quality player, fits what the Ravens ORG are looking for in their offensive line. And I think the versatility that a lot of these guys bring to the table now, a lot of offensive linemen do have versatility or can be put in different positions. Not necessarily center, but in terms of inside outside versatility, we're seeing it a lot more throughout the college ranks. The more they can do, the better shot you have the stick. So we're seeing that. And I think Guyton and Rosengarten PERSON would be interesting to just figure out how Baltimore would use both of those guys. Now, Kyrie Jackson out of Oregon ORG, he is literally, he's like my guy in this draft. I've been pounding on the table for him forever. I think he would be perfectas that third outside guy with Marlon Humphrey and Brandon Stevens PERSON. The Ravens lost Ronald Derby PERSON. So the outside corner position is a need for them. I think Kyrie Jackson PERSON is such a good player again. And there are other guys you can look at Kayling King from Penn State, Cam Hart PERSON fromNotre Dame, Monardo Green from Florida State ORG. There are plenty of mid-round corner options that I think would fit really well with the Ravens ORG, especially on the outside. And I think that Kyrie Jackson can be a really good fit for the Ravens ORG, both with his physicality and also his coverage skills. Now, at number 130, I ended up taking a running back.I took Jaylen Wright now in no way, shape, or form I'm taking a running back on day one or two. No running backs in the first three rounds for me. But Jaylon Wright is consensus. One of the best running backs in this class. A lot of people honestly have them is the best running back on day one or two. No running backs in the first three rounds for me. But Jaylon Wright is consensus, one of the best running backs in this class. A lot of people honestly have him is the best running back in this class. I know there's a lot of conversation about a couple other guys. But Jaylon Wright PERSON, to me, is a really quality player that I think if you draft a guy, it's easy to move that guy back to the fourth spot when Keaton Mitchell comes back. You obviously have Justice Hill and Derek Henry PERSON as well. So the Ravens Eric Costa PERSON made it clear that, you know, this team's looking for a running back. And I think the Jailen Rik PERSON could be the guy for him. Now, 165, Mohamed Kamara, the edge from Colorado State ORG is the pick. A lot of production at Colorado State ORG could be a nice developmental piece for them. They have Calvin or they have Adafi Owe, David Ajabo PERSON. They're going to be relying on those three a lot this season. And maybe they bring in somebody else after the draft. But I think Kamara PERSON is a player. And Edge PERSON has gone down on the needs tier list, I guess if you want to call that because of the Calvin Noe signing. I would expect them to take a day three edge. Maybe if they feel really good about someone, they could take a guy at 30,like a Chop Robinson or on day two. But I'm personally taking one on day three and is kind of going from there. Now, Joanne Briggs, the defensive line from Cincinnati, was my pick at 218. For me, again, defensive line, I'm okay with the Ravens ORG taking a defensive lineman. They usually take defensive lineman. They've had success taking mid-the-late round defensive lineman.Briggs is someone who's right around 313 pounds, space eater. Someone does a lot of good things. The Bellummental piece, again, they have their five this year. If they keep six, obviously Briggs would be on the roster. They don't need them to contribute right away. Now, 228, it took another wide receiver in Josh Seifis at a UTSA ORG.We've talked about Josh Severs PERSON a little bit on the show, especially earlier on in the mock draft Mondays, but he's a bigger-bodied wide receiver. So I don't know it is a Bay Baltimore taking two wide receivers, but with the Ladd-McConkie selection, I just, I ended up making it so that, you know, he had the smaller player and then the bigger player. So it worked out.And then I had to round it out with my guy, Jacob Monk out of Duke ORG. I've taken him, I think, at 250 and almost every single mock draft. I love Jacob Monk. He thinks he brings a taken him, I think, at 250 and almost every single mock draft. I love Jacob Monk. He thinks he brings a lot of intangibles at the table. So definitely a big Jacob Monk PERSON fan. I'm not too mad about this drafter. I think I actually expected a lot more backlash than I got on Twitter ORG. So I'm happy that a lot of other people liked it as well. But for a last mock draft,I will take this one 10 times out of 10. Coming up, the final part of the show, we're going to be talking about your mock drafts on Twitter. Stay tuned, plenty to talk about on the show. First, this show is brought to you by Game Time ORG. We're back, our final segment of Lockdown, Ravens, Kevin Oshryker PERSON, still talking with you here. We're going to be diving into our mock draft media now. It's again our last mock draft Monday of 2024. We've had a long dream to get here.Talked about a lot of prospects and had a lot of episodes and it's all coming to a close here today. Now, again, how these work one more time, if you want to get on the action for 2025, is we do a mock draft here on Lockdown Ravens. I put it out on Twitter every single Sunday from mock draft Sunday, read it on a mock draft Monday. I quote tweet that mock draft that I put it on my personal account, quote it with the Locked on Ravens ORG account. You can comment down below on that quote tweet, and I just read them as I see them. I mean, there's no really process to going and doing everything with, you know, favors. There's none of that. It's literally just as I see them in the comments. So we're going to be getting into it. And I'm excited. I see every single that. It's literally just as I see them in the comments. So we're going to be getting into it. And I'm excited. I see every single one. So I apologize if I don't read out yours on the show. But I do see it and really appreciate all of the engagement. I used to be able to read out everybody's, you know, back when the show, you know, was a little bit smaller. You know, we only got a couple of these a week. But now we have so many. And it again, just shows how much growth we've had, which I really, it's just a bit incredible. So let's start off with one from Nate, who has the Ravens ORG. This is a trade. I don't know the trade, but at 32, the Ravens State, Keown Coleman PERSON, wider seer from Florida State ORG. So obviously, Baltimore moved back from 30 to 32 here. Number 62, Indisa Isaac, the edge from Penn State ORG is the selection.Kieran Emigdaji, the offensive lineman from Yale's pick in 93. Cam Hart, corner from Notre Dame at number 113, is that pick. Leighton Robinson, guard from Texas A&M is at 130. Maurice Liuafu, the lineback from Notre Dame is at 165. Trey Taylor, Air Force Safety at 173. Carlton Johnson Corner from Fresno State, excuse me, at 218.Jaquan Jackson, wider, from Tulane, is the pick of 228. Nomani Bailey running back from TCU as a selection at 250. So from what I can see, it was 30 for 32 and 173. Not terrible. I mean, you get a pick inside the top 175. I don't hate that trade.I think it's fine. Now, if you're helping Kansas City get a player they like, I don't hate that trade. I think it's fine. Now, if you're helping Kansas City get a player they like, I'm not so sure anymore, but only moving back two spots is not the end of the world, and the Ravens will have plenty of guys they would take at 30, that they would get at 32.Coleman PERSON is a guy that people either love or hate. I personally am fine with him. You know, I think that he fits the profile of a Baltimore ORG needs. I know that people don't necessarily love a couple things about him, though. So it's a very divided band base in terms of, you know, do they want Keon Coleman PERSON or not. Then you get at least Isaac PERSON who I think is fine. Like I think that's a fine player. Kiron, we've talked about a lot. I like him as a third round prospect and someone thatyou can either start if he wins the job or you're still fine with playing a guy behind or with playing a guy in front of him and he sticks behind there. Cam Hart is one of those guys we talked about as a solid outside corner. So I'm totally fine with that pick. Two offensive linemen. It's only the two, well, I guess two wide receivers.Running back, Monty Bailey is one of those later seventh round guys or sixth round guys I like, anywhere in the fifth to seventh, honestly, like Kamani Vidal or Isaac Garando, like one of those guys, totally cool with that. So I do like this pick. Linebacker is a need that I think people are overlooking to. I'm glad Nate PERSON had this pick for linebacker because inside linebacker could be a pick here. I know the Ravens signed Chris Bord PERSON.They drafted Trenton Simpson, but they lost Patrick Queen PERSON. They lost Del Chon Phillips PERSON. I could see the Ravens ORG adding a guy for special teams value. Let's get into one more. Let's rounds it out with B more finest. Kingsesua Mataya, the offensive tackle from BYU is the pick at 30.Marshawn Neeland, the edge from western Michigan is at 62. Renard Rane-O-Green corner from Florida State at 93. Javon Baker, why does he from UCF at 30. Marshawn Neeland. The edge from western Michigan is at 62. Renard O'Rourne Green, corner from Florida State at 93. Javan Baker, Writers here from UCF at 113. 113. Marshawn Lloyd running back from USC at 130. Sauta Lama, I hope I said that, right, guard from Utah at 165. Walter Ruse tackle from Oklahoma at 218. Carlton Johnson, Fresno State. Corner at 228. Jalen Simpson PERSON, safety from Auburn at 250. I like Kingsley PERSON a lot. He's gotten a lot of hype. I think he was in that early third, late-ish, second range. He is now, I think he's going to probably be taken on the first round, if not first round, very early second. A lot of talent for Kingsley PERSON. Marshall Neeland PERSON is fine.Again, fine Nedge Rush her at 62. Bernardo Green is one of those corners I like in that mid third, fourth round range. Even in the second round, second round is interesting. There are some guys like Hailing Carson who's getting a lot of height, but I'd rather take a guy in the third or fourth round. Honestly, Javon Baker, UCF, 113 is fine there. Marshawn Lloyd at 130.That's around the area I'd take a running back. Three offensive linemen at 165 there in 218. Those are the other two. Carlton Johnson for two corners. I think this is a very good needs-based draft. Safety is an underrated need for them.So Be More Finis taking a safety to 50, not mad about that one at all either. So, yeah, this is a solid mock draft. I like this one a lot from the more finest. And that's all I have you every day on Lockdown Ravens ORG. Thank you so much for Twinnie. And come up tomorrow.
