With rookie minicamp set to get underway this weekend in Charlotte GPE, I thought now would be a good time to take a look at the Panthers ORG' depth chart post-draft and see how the recent draft picks impact the standing of some of the retained players here in Carolina heading in 2024. We'll do that right here on Locked-on Panthers. You are Locked-on Panthers, your daily Carolina Panthers ORG podcast.

It is rookie minicamp weekend here in Charlotte, which is a great time to start to see the Panthers ORG draft picks. We get to see Xavier Leggett PERSON out there on the field. We get to see Jaden Crumedy from Mississippi State ORG on the field. That's awesome. It's one more small step towards actual football being played at Bank of America Stadium and across the NFL ORG. And I'm happy about that. And you know what? The players also got their numbers if you checked out Panthers.com on Wednesday,Xavier Leggett, sticking with number 17, which he broke out in this past season out South Carolina GPE, Jonathan Brooks, sticking with 24, which he wore at Texas ORG. Chald Smith-Waid going to be wearing 26 here in Carolina ORG. Michael Barrett's going to be number 41. Trevon Wallace will be 56. Tatian Sanders, not going to be zero anymore. He's going to be wearing 85. And I think zero is still available now that Brian Burns PERSON, the only player in Panthers history is no longer here in Carolina ORG. The only player in Panthers history to wear zero is no longer here in Carolina ORG. Jaden Crumby wearing 96. So there you go.There's the numbers of your rookie draft class here in 2024. And we'll get to know who some of the other guys officially who have been signed. There's been a lot of reports about who the UDFA, as the undraft free agents are here in Carolina ORG. I'm going to discuss the reported signings at the end of the show, as I discuss, their chances potentially to make the roster, maybe impress this weekend as much as one can impress during rookie minicamp. Before we get there, post-draft, seven new players officially on the roster, why not take some time now today to look at the impact that those seven players can have on the current depth chart as we head into rookie minicamp this weekend, and then OTAs later on this month, the next month, next month mandatory minicamp, and then, of course, we get prepared for a training camp here inUptown, Charlotte GPE. So we'll start off with the offense. Bryce Young, Andy Dalton PERSON, according to panthers.com are the only twoquarterbacks officially on the roster. And I'm sure by time this comes out, whether it be on YouTube on Wednesday night orThursday when you're listening or watching, the Panthers ORG would have officially dropped a rookie minicamp roster and announced the guys that they signed as undrafted for agents. But as of this recording, that has not happened. So Bryce Young, Andy Dalton, those are your two top quarterbacks. And I don't think that's necessarily going to change the matter who they signed or will sign down the road. It's going to be Bryce PERSON. It's going to be Andy PERSON. Those are going to be your top two quarterback in Carolina ORG.The Panthers ORG would like to get a veteran. They would also potentially like to get a young rookie who they can also develop along with Bryce and have Andy PERSON there. As a veteran in the room, we'll see how that works out for them. But right now, only two quarterbacks officially listed on the roster for the Carolina Panthers ORG running back. Not officially listed just yet, but we know John the Brooks, he's a Carolina Panther ORG, has not signed. Neither of the draft picks have signed.I think at some point you might find out this weekend that a couple of those guys, maybe one or two, have signed officially in Carolina ORG. We'll see how that pans out. I'm not necessarily concerned about any of the seven holding out and not being Carolina Panthers ORG when it matters most, which will be during training camp. I expect all of them to be a part of OTAs EVENT, all those that are healthy enough to do so.John the Brooks, of course, will not be healthy to do that. Should be good to go once training camp rolls around late in July. But right now, looking at the depth chart, I have him as the top Panthers ORG running back. Chuba Hubbard PERSON probably should be up there just based off of his ability right now and his experience and all that they've said about him this offseason that I've actually believed. All the lies have been told us about Miles Sanders PERSON.Those, those aren't true. As much as they love Miles PERSON, as much they see him playing a big role in this offense, how they highly value him. No. No, no, no. That's not true. And we saw that on Monday as they brought in Rashad Penny PERSON. And I did tell you all that I don't know if Rashad Penny is necessarily going to take Miles Sanders' PERSON job, but he does have experience in this scheme, knows the coaching staff better than Miles Sanders PERSON does. And he's not coming off of an impressive season at all. In playing only three games with the Eagles, Miles PERSON has been a better player than him. It's just another sign of this team is looking for other running backs outside of Miles Sanders and Chuba Hubbard PERSON.But Jonathan Brooks, Chuba Hubbard, Miles Sanders PERSON. I would have Rahim Blackshear number four. The number five on the depth chart, I would then have Rashad Pity PERSON. We'll see how all that pans out down the road as Blackshear is a special teams guy. He can return kicks for you with the rule changes. He's going to be a vital part of the special teams for Carolina this year, which I think is how he'll make the roster. Toriq Cohen, Spencer Brown, Mike Boone PERSON. Those are the other three backs on the roster. Tarik was on the practice squad last year, so was Spencer Brown PERSON. And if Tarreek's healthy, maybe like Rahim Blackshear PERSON and possibly Xavier Ligette PERSON, he could be someone who could help them out when it comes to being areturner, at punt in returner especially, which he did really well when he was in Chicago, helping get paid before he had that awful string of injuries. Now, Amir Smith-Marset PERSON is still back here in Carolina ORG. Competition, though, it's a good thing to have on your roster, especially if you're coming off of a two-and-f-15 season and needing to have many overhauls on both sides of the ball, which we went over earlier this week on the show. Wide receiver, Deonte Johnson, Adam Thieland, Xavier Leggett. Those are my top three. Deontes PERSON is going to playthe X. He is going to be the first read. Those are the words of Dave Canales PERSON, the Carolina Panthers head coach. Adam Thelan PERSON, going to be back in the slot. Then on the other side, at the outside receiver spot will be Xavier ORG look at. Be very curious to see how they utilize them throughout this offense. Do they put them in jet sweeps?Do they put them in the backfield, maybe to carry the football? The deep ball, that's something you expect to pin the play. Be a big factor in, of course. So those are the top three, clearly to me. Then after that, Mingo, I would say, is the fourth receiver.Terrace Marshall, maybe is the fifth, or possibly it's Amir Smith, Marset PERSON, who does provide speed. And it was more of that gadget guy last year. Is that going to be the role he plays yet again this year, or is he going to be more of a complete wide receiver? How many opportunities is he truly going to get?And then you have David Moore PERSON, who I look at as more of a practice squad guy, and it's kind of a break in case of emergency. This is somebody you're going to bring up on the roster if something goes awry with the wide receiver core, like really a ride with the wide receiver core this upcoming fall. And he did play last year in Tampa for Dave Canales PERSON, who he knew dating back to his time in Seattle GPE, where he did have some solid roles as a number three receiver a couple years ago behind D.K. and behind Tyler Lockett, then once it came to Carolina ORG, didn't make the roster, and he's kind of bounced on and off a roster as the last couple of seasons, hoping to make the 53 here in Carolina later this year. Cam Sims, Mike Strawn, Jalen PERSON, those are the other receivers currently on the roster. But Deonté Johnson, Adam Thieland, Xavier Legate, those are the top three. Then Mingo, Marshall, Smith, Marcette, Moore PERSON. They're fighting for a roster spot and possibly some of the UDFAs. One of them in particular from Holy Cross could be that seventh receiver at the Carolina Panthersdecide to take seven receivers once roster cutdowns happen later on in August. Tried-in. Tommy Trimble, still tight-in one to me. He's probably their best all-around tight-in as far as blocking and receiving. De Tavion Sanders PERSON, the thought on him, at least to book out on him, he's not a great blocker, not physical enough in that space. The hope is that Pat McPherson PERSON will get him there eventually. He'll be the number two. And the great thing about having Tommy Trimble is, Trimble can be a solid number two tight-in past-catching option, but can be your top run blocking and pass-blocking option at tight-in. Then you can have Gattavion Sanders on the other side as your top past-catching tight-in and Ian Thomas PERSON sprinkled in there as well. Those are going to be the top three tight-ins in Carolinas GPE.Stefan Sullivan PERSON is still a converted wide receiver to a tight-in, trying to learn the nuances of that position. And you see just how difficult it can be for someone who did not play that position in college. At least Sanders PERSON did play it in college and played it very well as far as being an offensive weapon in the past game. Sullivan's the fourth guy, Jordan Matthews, Chris Pierce PERSON.They're also on the roster. I will be interested to see how many tight ends they decide to carry and they want to bring in anyone else, maybe with some veteran experience. Offensive tackle, Iki Kwanu PERSON, Taylor Moten PERSON, those are going to be your book-intackles at left and right, respectively. Josh Nyman PERSON, he is your swing tackle. They sign him from Green Bay this off season. El Manning PERSON, who they picked up late last year from San Francisco. Apologies to Il Manning for missing out on going to the Super Bowl EVENT.Ricky Lee, Badara, Triore, those are the other tackles. Pretty clear, the top three guys, aka Taylor. Yash PERSON Nyman, anything happens to Aiki or Taylor, knock on wood. Yash will be up there. There's a possibility that Brady Christensen PERSON, who has also played both tackles spots during his career in Carolina under two different coaching staffs. You can see he didn't play tackle last year under that coaching staff. We understand the point here.At least you should understand the point. He's someone who's versatile enough to play all five positions and could step up and play tackle if in a pinch. Looking at the guards, Damien Lewis, Robert Hunt, the two big free agent signings. They will be there at left guard and right guard, respectively. Cade Mays, Chandler's all appear to be the top two guys in line to come in there and to either step in due to injury or potentially start. We'll see how that factors in at some pointthis season. The positive part about it is they got a lot of live bullets last year. Mays has the past season and then even year prior where he was in the Arby ORG's package. You got to play a little bit. Chen Lozval didn't play well, but as a rookie, it's hard to step up from being a fourth-round pick, playing in the ACC at NC State to coming to the NFL ORG and seeing a different kind of size and speed that you just don't consistently see at the college level, even if you're in the SEC or the Big Ten, you're just not going to see it on an everyday basis. He had to see it last year. He had his struggles, had injuries as well. Nash Jensen was thrown into the fire late last season as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State ORG. He got to bench later on that year, but he has experience. I like that. You have three younger offensive linemen that you can continue to develop as backups. And who knows, maybe down the road, they get an opportunity to be a starter if, God forbid, Lewis or Hunt don't pan out for the Panthers ORG after spending all that money. That is a good thing to have experienced depth, which I believe they do have now with Mayes PERSON, Zavala and Jensen PERSON. JD Dorenzo PERSON is also on the roster listed at guard. Now at center, Austin Corbett PERSON, he's going to be your starter, and it turns out BradyChristensen is going to be the backup center as of right now. I would think, too, that if Lewis or Hunt got hurt, Christensen PERSON is the first guy they're going to call to play a guard. He's just spending most of his time repping at center, as that's not something he's done a lot in his career in Carolina ORG. If he's done it, it's really been during this period of time or possibly in training camp as well. It's never been in a game. So it's important to get him and Austin Corbett PERSON up to speed, especially if this teamright now does not appear to be wanting to bring in a veteran center. They did bring in reportedly, according to his Instagram as well, a center who is an undrafted free agent. We'll see how he kind of factors into this conversation. But right now, those are the only two listed centers on the roster, Austin Corbett, Brady Christensen PERSON, an offense. As I told you earlier this week, I feel like it was going to be much better than the one we said last year. I don't think they're going to be a bottom third NFL ORG offense, having an offensive line with the kind of talent and depth and experience that they have. That in itself will allow the Panthers ORG to be able to run the ball, control the line of scrimmage, and give the passing game an opportunity. Now, with the past, the playmakers on the outside making enough plays, will Bryce Young show the consistency that we failed to see from last year for a multitude of reasons. Can he look more like the guy we saw against the Packers ORG than not? Those are questions that will have to be answered once toe meets leather in September here in Carolina ORG. So that's the offensive depth chart as we head into R Manny Camp ORG and the rest of the OTA portion. How about the defensive depth chart? How is that looking as we head into all of that? I'll talk about that here in just a moment on Locked on Panthers WORK_OF_ART. This next segment is brought to us by our sponsor BetterHelp ORG. Sometimes we all need the opportunity to get something off our chest, big or small, certain things can really start to get to you. It's important to let that out, especially to someone who's unbiased on your life. So today,I want to say how I really feel about something you might even be thinking about the same thing this week. And I'm sick of the rain. I thought it was April showers, bring May flowers. Why is it raining all the time here in Seattle, North Carolina, also known as Charlotte, North Carolina. Well, as Fargo GPE's this weekend. I want to go out. I want to enjoy some golf from the best players in the world. I don't want to sit here and deal with the rain, so I'm tired of it. I get it. Spring, it happens, but it's May. Where the flowers at? Therapy can be different for everyone. H-E-L-P.com slash lockdown. We took a look at the offensive depth chart. We also took a look at the offense heading into 2024 post-draft and thinking about how it could look. I think it's going to be a lot better than it was last year. Can't be worse. And adding the offensive line pieces, having the depth there another year under his belt for Bryce Young, getting the offensive skill position players on the outside like Deonté Johnson and the guys they added in the draft should be a better offense this year. Don't know how much better it's going to be? It's going to be better. What will it be top half the NFL ORG? It will be a top 10 offense, there I say. I don't know about all that. But has a chance to be a competent one now that the offensive line appears appears to be fixed, fingers crossed, still have to see how it plays out once we get there into the season. And last year, y'all were right. Once we got into not training camp, but training camp, yes. If you watched the Hard Knocks episode where the Jets ORG were just dominating them and Quinn Williams had 11 sacks in one period, which is, oh boy, that was startling. And then you saw how things played out during the preseason. If we get to the preseason and not is the case again, sure, still early, allowing them to get the continuity. But warning signs and the alarm bells will be off yet again. But defensively took a long look at them yesterday, seeing how this unit will be without Brian Burns PERSON, about Frankie Louvo and the multitude of starters that exited this offseason and looking at the additions and wondering if in year two, Gerald's defense can be better or can be good.It really depends on how you looked at the defense last year in your interpretation of it. I provided a ton of numbers. Please go back and listen to the show. If you have not watched it or listened to it, if you would like. That will give you a pretty good breakdown. Just at least my thoughts on the defense heading into the rest of the offseasoninto the 2024 season. But as far as depth chart goes, looking at the D-line, I do have my fair share of concerns outside of the top guy on this list. That is Derek Brown PERSON. He is a pro-bowler. He is an all-pro caliber player. He just got paid. Congrats to him and his family and to the CarolinaPanthers for not blowing this yet. They could still do it. They paid CMC. They paid DJ PERSON. And then they sent them out the door because they couldn't figure out what the hell they were doing at quarterback. Derek Brown, he has not been a casualty yet to this team's ineptitude or inteptitude to quote Scott Fowler PERSON when speaking of what David Tepper has done to our beloved franchise here in Charlotte, North Carolina. But Derek Brown PERSON, he is the top player there on the defensive line. We'll be starting yet again. Shai Tuttle also be starting for them. Then Ashaun Robinson replacing Deshawn Williams PERSON, I believe that is anupgrade should be better against the run this season. After that, it's going to be a dog fight to make this roster. I know Jaden Crumody, the sixth round pick out of Mississippi State ORG is a draft pick, but he's going to have to fight for a roster spot this year. Nick Thurman PERSON, he came out and honestly played like a dog at some points in time late in the season. LeBriand Ray PERSON, he showed some promise, and he has the pedigree, having played at Alabama under Dick Sabin PERSON, Rayquan Williams PERSON. He's been around the block a couple times. He looked like he was going to make the roster after that Giants ORG game during the preseason. One of the examples of where the preseason does matter, but also it doesn't. We were also looking at just what the depth chart looked like at that point in time and seeing Mark Juan McCall PERSON not being around and maybe it was going to be Ray Kwan Williams is going to step into a role as a potential starter in Carolina ORG or a bigrole player and that really wasn't the case last year with those four guys, Cromody, Thurman, Ray Williams all going to be fighting for a roster spot. I think Thurman's probably going to be fine. Crumody PERSON because of the draft compensation may be fine, but he's going to have to really battle to make that roster. That is a good problem to have that kind of competition for a defensive line group outside of Derek Brown that I don't think is all that talented, quite honestly. And you look at the production from Tuttle and Robinson PERSON,we kind of know who they are at this point in time, need to see much more at a shy tunnel. He could be kind of that X factor on a defensive line. If he is able to actually play up to his contract this year, that D-line is much better with the addition as well of A. Sean Robinson PERSON, a noted run stopper, which that's something Deshawn Williams did not do well at all last year here in Carolina ORG. Outside linebacker, your edge rusher spots, Chedevian Clowney, he'll be a starter, DJ One PERSON of him is going to miss all of the offseason program here due to that torn. What was it? He has an injury. What was it? I hate when I forget things like that on the fly because it's just like, you can't just say that and do not remember what to say.He is currently out right now due to, well, I don't have it right now. But an injury. He's missing time right now. And sure someone will text me and tell me what it is. And I can, let me just look it up here on the show as I'm doing a terrible job, remembering things. There's a lot of things to remember, y'all. Covering a team on daily basis. Who am I talking about again? Gawley, I hate this. DJ PERSON want him. DJ won him injury. He has a partially torn quad. That is serious. He's going to miss some time and we'll see how that impacts him heading into this 2024 season. But he's slated to be a starter, outside linebacker, more of a replacement to Eitor Gros PERSON. Denny is, Brian Burns PERSON. Clowny is really the Burns PERSON replacement. It was a better player than Burns last year, but will he be a better playerthan Burns this year and in the future, meaning next year as well in 2025? We will see. Those are two starters, DJ Johnson PERSON, Amory Barno, Caleb on Chase on. They're going to be the trio that kind of rotate in and out, really need DJ Johnson, former third round pick from last year. They traded up with Pittsburgh ORG to get. He needs to really step into the right direction and show some promise. Because there still is not a long-term answer at the edge rusher spot. Now that Burns is no longer here in Carolina, Clowny, at least the next two seasons. At most, I would really think, the next two seasons. DJ Wunham could only be the next two seasons, could only be this season, depending on how he plays. And the rest of him, we've got to see a barney that makes the roster, chase on, as well. I'm thinking he's going to get an opportunity just based off Todd Wash being here. He's not his position coach. But we'll see how that works out. Echo Leota and Luzzi Villan PERSON, they're also back here in Carolina. And Leado PERSON is not someone to ignore either as he really turnsabout last season. And this is the same defensive coaching staff. So you could see them really favoring players that they favored last season, opposed to had it just been a complete overall on both coaching staffs, that would be different where these guys would be really fighting for the attention of their coaches, which they're still going to be doing. Inside linebacker, Shaq Thompson, Josie Jewell PERSON, those are the two guys that are going to play the vast majority of snaps, and that should really be the hope. You would like to see Trevin Wallace get sprinkled in here and there, just to prepare to be the successor to Shaq Thompson next year, as that is what people are assuming. At least that's what I'm assuming, and you know what happens when you assume? I hope that's not going to be the case, but he's going to have an opportunity, I think, to play a little bit. After that, it's a bunch of special teams guys.Michael Barrett, who the Panthers took at the seventh round, all-time winning his player at Michigan ORG. The reports say he's too small to play linebacker, not fast enough to play safety, but he could be a special team's ace, and there is value in that in the seventh round.I want to see special teams addressed in round seven. I want to see it more be like a kicker, but they got somebody who a lot of scouts believe can be a special team's ace and has that heart and soul to do it. So we'll see how that works out. Matt Miller of ESPN.com, by the way,he really liked the Michael Barrett pick by the Panthers ORG. Tate Davis, Claud and Cheryl Luton PERSON, those are also three guys who are going to be fighting for roster spots more so as special teams players, where Wallace PERSON is going to be coming in as a backup. Corner, J.C. Horn, Dane Jackson, Troy Hill PERSON.That will be your trio. J.C. PERSON on the outside. Dane also on the outside than Troy Hill PERSON. They're in that nickel spot. Chowsemith Wade should be the primary backup to Troy Hill PERSON at the nickel. And if they don't add anybody, like, Stefan Gilmore isn't coming here, they don't add a veteran. And I do think, because the rest is, it's never set. Not until really get to the playoffs. It's never set. You got to get there first. It's not really all that set. It's an initial 53.We saw last year. We see every year. Just because you initially made the roster does not mean that you're not going to be cut 24 hours later when the Panthers ORG put under waiver claims and are able to get certain players that they wanted off of waivers. And from my understanding, because the Panthers were the worst team in the league last year, they're going to be at the top of the waiver board, right? So they're going to be able to get whoever they want as far as who gets cut from the otherteams. And if they see a corner who they really like, they're going to add that guy. And that may be Sayonara to DiCaprio Boodle PERSON if he makes the roster. DeShon Jameson, who was one of those players who they brought in last year who got cut elsewhere in San Francisco GPE.Lamar Jackson, AJ Parker PERSON, I don't think they're going to really be guys who make it here this season. We'll see. But Horn, Jackson Hill, those are the top three guys. Smith Wade PERSON should play a role. And at some point, whether it's Gilmore PERSON or another veteran out there who's availableor after roster cut down day, they're going to add another outside corner because they just do not have the depth in my opinion right now to feel comfortable in that spot. Safety, Xavier Woods, he's back for a third season starting in Carolina ORG. Jordan Fuller PERSON should be the starter opposite of him. He was in the back, not in the secondary last year in Los Angeles. He knows a scheme.Nick Scott PERSON will be the backup to them. Didn't play well in Cincinnati last year. Quite honestly, it was pretty bad, but he's a veteran player who knows a scheme. And there is value to that. Alex Cook had a step up last season and start a couple games, played in 10 games total for Carolina after being signed off of the Raiders ORG practice squad. He's somebody who could maybe step into a big role, maybe be ahead of Nick Scott PERSON.We will see how that works out, Sam Franklin PERSON. You know him as a special team's ace. He's back in Carolina yet again in one of the few rule signings, a true rule guys, like Baylor Temple ORG, rule type of dude who has panned out and been a good player for what he was brought in to be. And that was be a special teams player and still developing as a safety for Carolina ORG. Jamie Robinson was drafted last year in the fifth round at FSU ORG.Didn't play a lot last year. Forgot about him most of the time last season. I would like to see him step up, get more opportunities. We'll see how that works out. Special teams, Eddie Pinero, Johnny Hacker, JJ Jansen PERSON. Those are your three trio special teams guys right now on the roster. So that's the offensive depth chart and a defensive depth chart. Now with rookie minicamp going on, let's take a quick look at the undrafted for agent class here in Carolina ORG, at least the ones that are reported. Carolina ORG on their website is not officially named any of these guys. And also on their website, as far as the roster goes, they haven't officially put on like Xavier Liggett PERSON and John the Brooks and their rookies that they just drafted.I want to quickly go over the players that are going to be expected to be there. This upcoming weekend at Rookie Camp here in Charlotte GPE, and just a moment unlocked on Panthers ORG. This weekend will be the first time that fans, I don't know if fans are allowed there, but the first time that we'll get a glimpse of the Carolina Panthers' 2024 rookie draft class. And we'll be the first time we get a glimpse at the players that have been signed as undirectedfree agent post-draft here in Carolina as rookie mini-camp is going on this weekend in Uptown GPE, show out there on Mint Street FAC. So good to see Xavier Leggett here in town wearing number 17. We'll get to see the rest of those guys as well. Now, the Panthers, at least as of this recording on late Wednesday afternoon, have not officially announced who will be who are their undrafted free agents. They haven't even put their rookie class officially on the website as far as on the roster. But there has been plenty of tweets over the last couple weeks about the guys that reportedly have signed in Carolina ORG as undrafted free agents. I want to go over that list real quick here and even point out a couple guys maybe to look at this weekend as there will be tryouts to them. There may some guys who are tryout players who are going to get invites or going to try to make the roster as they try to get the 90 or they're going to have to get the 90 as they getthe 90. But this is the unofficial undrafted for agent class. And shout out to Cat Scratch Reader, the Panthers SB Nation ORG blog for putting this out there. The Observer had like half of these names. And I think Mike and all of them do a great job over there. They just didn't have the update. Just when the last article I looked at there. But JackPlummer quarterback at a Louisville ORG, he could fit into the role of being that third quarterback. They didn't draft one. And there was reports from Joe personally at Athletic ORG that they were interested in doing that. And as we know, that did not happen. They could still get a veteran. But Jack Plummer PERSON right now, he's on the roster going to get out opportunity this weekend could be cut. There's players here who are currently on the roster. They could get cut for other veterans who try out for rookie mini camp this week, and Ness veterans can go and try out or some other players who they just bring in for a try to as well. Sam Pinney PERSON, wide receiver out of coastal Carolina. Taylor Upshaw, he's an edge rusher out of Arizona. Jalen Koker PERSON,wide receiver out of Holy Cross. Holy Cross was a damn good FCS school last year. Bob Chesney PERSON, he is now the head coach there at GMU up in Harrisonburg GPE. The Dukes have an outstanding football program that was built under Kurt Signetti PERSON. Kurt Signetti, a former Elon ORG coach, my alma mater. He's now at Indiana ORG. Now Bob Chesney leaves Holy Cross to go continue the tradition there at JMU ORG.And he has a resource to do it, especially for a G5 school in the Sunbelt LOC. Jalen Koker is somebody that has drawn some praise from Steve Smith PERSON. Steve Smith also praised Jonathan Bingo PERSON. We did not see that happen so far. Not saying that Steve Smith's PERSON senior doesn't know he's talk about, because obviously Steve knows everything, not does know everything, but he knows a great deal about playingwide receiver and far more than I'll ever know about playing wide receiver at a high level in the NFL, but he likes Jalen Koker PERSON, and that's good to hear. And having mentioned earlier where there are seven guys we're talking about, I don't think David Moore PERSON is a shoe in to make the roster. I don't think Teres Marshall Jr. PERSON is a shoe in to make the roster. There is opportunity for some of these young guys to make the roster initially, and thenwe'll see then what happens with roster cut down as the Panthers ORG, again, have the top priority when it comes to the waiver wire this year because they were the worst team in the league last year, unfortunately. Popo Amave out of Oregon ORG, he's a nose tackle. Willie Drew, cornerback out of Virginia State, Derek McClendon, linebacker out of Colorado ORG. Andrew Rame is a center from Oklahoma GPE, and as I mentioned this, these guys have not been officially announced by the Panthers, but he's on his Instagram page as a Panthers player. So Andrew Ream PERSON is a center forOU from last year, a spot where the Panthers ORG did not draft a center. I wanted to see them do that. They decided not to do it. Brady Christensen is their backup center, O'Sah Corpster PERSON starting center. Is it possible to Reim, who's been a two-year starter at OU built by Beidenbbaugh? Bill Beedinbaugh PERSON, one of the best office line coaches in football, period. He was able to work with him the last couple of seasons. Maybe Rame comes in here and pushes for a spot. We'll see Deshaun Gatty, corner out of Ole Miss ORG, Jeremiah Crawford, Guard out of Tennessee, DeMoney Richardson PERSON, a safety out of Texas A&M.Devin Carter, wide receiver from West Virginia by way of NC State ORG. Jaden Sheridan running back from Monmouth ORG, and this is a running back group that is loaded. So it'll be very difficult, loaded as far as experienced players and just what they just drafted and traded up to get. And Jonathan Brooks PERSON, so it'll be tough for him to make the roster. Jackson Mitchell, linebacker out of Yukon GPE. Harrison Mevis, kicker out of Missou GPE.It's another one who had my eye on. It was a really good kicker last year. Hit that 62-yard bond to beat Kansas State ORG. Had up and down tenure at Missouri, 83% career kicker. Not the greatest. It's going to have to be far more consistent, of course, in the NFL ORG.But it's nice to have someone to come in, push Eddie Pignero PERSON and see where that goes. Christian Duffy, Alphins Alignment from Kansas State. and they always have great O. Lyman from K. State ORG. Can't count him out. Kenny Dyson, defensive N, from Bryant up in Rhode Island GPE. Those are the unofficial on drafted free agent class here in Carolina ORG. We'll officially get those names truly, I'm sure, probably on Thursday or Friday, as rookie minicamp begins here in trouble.I just want to get those out there again. Hat tip to Kat Scratch Reader, SB Nation blog covering your Carolina Panthers ORG for compiling this list.
