Well, folks, welcome in.It's that time of year for our final predictive mock drafts. These are the mock drafts that we will submit to the Huddle Report for the annual mock draft accuracy competition. And so I'm giving you my forecast for what's going to happen on Thursday night. Kyle Crabs will be back later today for a second episode that delivers his final 2024 NFL ORG mock draft. Let me start by saying this. This is not the same mock draft that you have seen for the last four months. I have things happening. I have some different stuff. I want to shoot my shot. I want to be aggressive. I don't want to be boring. It's not going to go the way we just expect it to go. And so I've done my best to get as many scoops as I possibly can, piece it together. And this is what it looks like. And I promise you it's going to look a lot different than what you've been seeing in normal mock drafts. So without further ado, here's how I think things go on Thursday night. With the first pick in the draft, the Chicago Bears picking Caleb Williams. That's not an exciting twist. That's what we expect. They traded away Justin Fields PERSON for thisopportunity to reset a quarterback with Caleb Williams. And they've done a nice job of building up the supporting cast with Keenan Allen and DJ Moore PERSON, Colcomette PERSON at tight end. They've added to the backfield. The offensive line is stabilizing. Caleb Williams, your new quarterback for the Chicago Bears ORG.And number two, Washington commanders, I have them picking Jaden Daniels, the quarterback from LSU ORG. I know that there was some rifts along the way here about that actually happening. I think it's all been smoothed over. And Jaden Daniels heading to the nation's capital to be their next quarterback with the number two pick. All right. So that's where it is the same old, same all.Moving forward, it is not. And that starts with pick number three, where I have the New England Patriots selecting Joe Alt, the offensive tackle from Notre Dame ORG. This has been the spot where many think Drake May could go, maybe J.J. McCarthy PERSON. I don't think this roster is ready for a quarterback, and I think they know that. And I don't think Elliot Wolf and Drodmeo PERSON want to start their clock by picking a quarterbackand inserting that quarterback into this roster. They need a left tackle. They need wide receivers. They need help. They just drafted Mack Jones PERSON and gave him no help. Are they going to really do it again?Start building up this infrastructure. And I think predictively, Joe Alt goes number three overall to the New England Patriots ORG. At number four, I have the Minnesota Vikings ORG trading up. So Arizona moves out of number four. They move back to pick 11. They also pick up pick 23 in the first round. And the Vikings ORG come up forJ.J. McCarthy. I know that there's some ties between Drake May and Josh McCown PERSON, the quarterback's coach for the Vikings. I think McCarthy PERSON's their guy. I think they want the guy who is going to do the smart right thing from the pocket more often. That's more pro-ready. I think that's McCarthy PERSON. So the Vikings coming up from 11, parting with Pick 23 to get J.J. McCarthy PERSON.Then at number five, I have another massive trade-up. The Colts, the Colts moving up to number five all the way from 15. So the Chargers ORG moved back. And I think that makes sense. The Chargers had to reset some spots in their roster, year one of this new regime, getting some assets. You know, obviously Joel Alt PERSON already drafted in this scenario. I have the Colts coming up from 15. They give up 46 and a 2025 first round pick to get Marvin Harrison, Jr., the wide receiver from Ohio State ORG. Obviously, Marvin Harrison, a legend for the Indianapolis Colts ORG. They just drafted Anthony Richardson with their first round pick last year. They're all in on that being their course and surrounding him with a talent like Marvin Harrison to go with Michael Pittman PERSON, to go with Jonathan Taylor PERSON. It's really going to allow Anthony Richardson to have his best opportunity to be successful in the NFL ORG. So a massive trade-up. Colts coming up from 15 to 5 to get Marvin Harrison Jr.Told you it wasn't going to be boring, folks. If you wanted the same old, same-o mock draft, you're in the wrong spot. At number six, the New York Giants ORG, this is where things get interesting. I'd love to give them one of the wide receivers. You know, you think about Malik neighbors being a logical choice here, but I feel like the opportunity to draft Drake May is one that they'll take. So the Giants ORG picking Drake May out of North Carolina, the quarterback at number six. You know, on one hand, I talked to myself out of this a couple of times because I don't know thatDrake May helps the Giants really win football games this year. And you feel like maybe it's an important year for Joe Shane and Brian Daibble PERSON. But probably the best thing for them to keep their job would be to identify Drake May PERSON, for Drake May to play well, and for the Giants ORG ownership to feel like the best thing for Drake May to play well, and for the Giants ownership to feel like the best thing for Drake May is to continue working with Brian Dable PERSON. So you can make a strong case for one of the receivers because both Adunze PERSON andneighbors are available, but the fact that Drake May PERSON is available, I think that trumps it, and that's their pick. At number seven, I have another trade. So the Tennessee Titans were picking at number seven. And for so long, we've assumed this is the Joe Alt PERSON spot. Well, Joe Alt goes number three in this scenario. And so that creates some flexibility for Tennessee ORG.I have them moving back to pick number 11, which is now held by the Arizona Cardinals after trading back with the Vikings ORG. So the Cardinals trade back from 4 to 11 and then back up from 11 to 7. We've seen this happen a lot lately, whether that's the Houston Texans ORG, whether that's Miami Dolphins. This is kind of a trend. I think that the Cardinals ORG are the next team that could do that. And so they come up at pick seven for Rome O'Donze, the wide receiver out of Washington ORG.The trade costs Arizona 11, 35, and a 2025 second round pick. And my thought process is there. I go back to the Josh Allen trade. When the bills came up from 12 to 7 to get Josh Allen, they gave up pick 53 and 56. In this scenario, they get 35 this year, 2025 second round pick. The following year goes to the Tennessee Titans ORG.So the Cardinals come up for Roma Dunzee PERSON, obviously a massive need at wide receiver. O'Donzei, his mentor is Larry Fitzgerald, obviously ties to the Arizona Cardinals ORG. That's the direction I have them going. Then at number eight, the Atlanta Falcons ORG, I have them picking a defensive player. Leitu Latu, the edge rusher from UCLA ORG, feels like there's a lot of momentum for him to be the first defensive player drafted. Arizona, or excuse me, Atlanta needs pass rush. I don't thinkthey're going to care as much about the medicals. They just signed Kirk Cousins PERSON coming off of an Achilles injury. I think they're all in. And I think that there's a lot of belief that maybe Leitu PERSON is the best defensive prospect in this class. At number nine, I have the Chicago Bears picking Byron Murphy, the defensive tackle out of Texas GPE. I think that you can make a strong case for Malik neighbors who is still on the board in this scenario, but I feel like they're going to want to go with that defense. They go with Caleb Williams with number one, and they drafted a couple of defensive tackles last year. I don't think that precludes Byron Murphy, who's an absolute stud of a prospect. Obviously, have a lot invested in Tremaine Edmonds and T.J. Edwards PERSON. And I'm sure they want to allow those guys to play their best football. The way that you do that is making sure that the defensive tackle position is solidified. And it's not like Byron Murphy's not a playmaker. So I think you add him to go with, you know, Montes sweat off the edge and you start to see this defensive line come together for the Chicago Bears ORG. The last pick in the top 10 is the New York Jets ORG. I have them picking Malik Neighbors, the wide receiver out of LSU ORG. I think there's a case for some offensive line here. But with Malik neighbor sliding a little bit, I think that ends at pick 10 with the Jets ORG. I mean, they have Garrett Wilson PERSON and then what else at receiver? Not much. So put me down for Malik neighbors heading to the Jets with pick number 10. All right, this has been a crazy mock, and it'll continue to be crazy the rest of the way. So be sure to stick with me. All right, folks, let's keep it going here. Next up is Pick 11, and this is now a pick owned by the Tennessee Titans ORG. Remember, they moved away from Pick 7, moved to Pick 11. They pick up 35 and a 20-25 second round pick from Arizona ORG, and they select Olu Fasashonu PERSON, the offensive tackle from Penn State. I still think they want to come out of this with a left tackle, and Joe Alt PERSON goesearlier than maybe expected. I think he's, I think he's the second best prospect in the draft, so it's no surprise to me. They would go number three, but I guess the consolation prize is Olu Fashonu, who some people thought was a top 10 pick last year. And so he comes pretty close to that, going 11 to the Titans ORG. Big need there. Love the idea of him working with Bill Callahan PERSON, big time offensive line coach to continue his trajectory as a player, obviously unbelievable physical gifts.Just looking for him to take some growth in the run game. And I think Callahan PERSON's the coach that can bring that out of him. At pick 12, the Denver Broncos ORG. I flirted with some different trades. In my original mock, I had the bills actually moving up to 12th for a player. But I have ultimately the Broncos ORG sticking and picking cornerback,Quinion Mitchell out of Toledo ORG. I think he's the best corner in the class. I know that Sean Payton likes small school prospects. Toledo, obviously non-power five. And they need a running make for Patrick Sertain. I think that was an issue for their defense last year. And Quignan Mitchell PERSON absolutely solves that. So give me Mitchell to the Broncos at pick 12, the corner out of Toledo ORG. Then a pick 13, the Las Vegas Raiders ORG have them going withquarterback Michael Pennix Jr. out of Washington. Think about this. Luke PERSON gets the offense, the vertical components that we saw in Chicago. I think that's what Pennix PERSON does best as he pushes the ball down the field. And I think that they're going to want to get a quarterback, right? I mean, what did they have Gardner, Minshew and Aden O'Connell. I mean, come on. I wouldn't pick Michael Penix PERSON. I don't have this type of grade, but this is predictive. And I feel like there's just so much momentum for this to happen that I couldn't ignore it. And I have the Raiders going Michael Pennix. And number 14, the New Orleans Saints have them picking Amarius Mims, the Georgia offensive tackle. The Saints ORG are never shy about rolling the dice on tools, the trench players, right, offensive linemen or defensive lineman. And between the lack of development for Trevor Penning PERSON a tackle and the concerns about the health and statusof Ryan Ramcheck, the right tackle for this season, feels like tackle is something they got to get figured out. So Amarius Mims PERSON, big time upside. I think he's an unbelievable talent. If he's healthy, he's going to be an absolute superstar. The Saints ORG are never shy about swinging. That's who I have them picking. So here comes the Chargers at 15.Remember, they move out of pick 5. They go back to 15. They get Pick 46 and a 2025 first round picks from the Colts ORG. And they get J.C. Latham, the offensive tackle for Alabama GPE. All the momentum for the Chargers ORG is this belief that they want to be physical, run the football, right, imagining Justin Herbert with a run game,Greg Roman PERSON, the offensive coordinator. Their right tackle spot is not great. Trey Pipkins was a bit of a disaster last year for him. I think he comes in and pairs with Roshan Slater PERSON. They got their tackle situation figured out. They got Zion Johnson on the interior as well. Jamari Sawyer PERSON, a nice piece. So I thinkthey're going to build up this offensive line. They can wait on receivers. And obviously, they, you know, they picked Quentin Johnson in the first round last year. I'm not optimistic there, but, you know, that's a pretty big investment. They kind of need that to pan out. And so I think they'll get receiver help at some point, especially now that they have pick 46. But with this top pick, I'm going offensive tackle J.C. Latham out of Alabama to the Chargers ORG.At pick 16, the Seattle Seahawks, Troy Fetano PERSON, the offensive lineman from Washington ORG. I think he's an immediate starter at Guard ORG, where they have massive turnover when it comes to their interior offensive line. And they have some nice young tackles. And maybe if Abraham Lucas PERSON, some injury concerns there, that doesn't work out.You have Fetanoo PERSON that could play tackle. But I guess worst case scenario, he's an awesome guard for you. But I think they need to stabilize the interior of that offensive line. Troy Fattano PERSON, certainly helps them do that. So I have him as the pick at number 16. Number 17, the Jacksonville Jaguars ORG have them going withBrian Thomas Jr., the wide receiver out of LSU ORG. You could tell that they really wanted Calvin Ridley. And even after signing Gabe Davis, they have Zay Jones PERSON. They obviously have Christian Kirk PERSON. I still feel like they want more in this wide receiver court. And when you have a young quarterback like a Trevor Lawrence PERSON, I think loading up on weapons is something we've seen other teams do. I think you'll want to seeTrent Balky. He likes to go for the tulesy guys. I mean, that's what Brian Thomas PERSON is. Low four three speed. Good size and length. Gives a vertical element to this offense. So give me Brian Thomas to the Jaguars at number 17. And number 18, the Bengals, Brock Bowers, the tight end from Georgia. This feels like just such an easy marriage. If Brock Bowers is on the board for the Bengals ORG, you've got to feel like they would pick them. They have Mike Keseki PERSON. Mike Keseki PERSON doesn't stop me from doing anything at tight end. I think you've seen throughout the years, you know, since he has that tight end piece, their offense is a little bit different. And whether it's the long-term future of T. Higgins PERSON, moving away from Tyler Boyd, moving away from Joe Mixen PERSON,right, the weapons around Joe Burrow PERSON are different. And I think a stabilizing piece in that could be a tight end like Brock Bowers PERSON. And number 19, the Los Angeles Rams ORG, it blows my mind that this is going to be the first ever pick for the Rams in the first round with Sean McVeigh as a head coach. That's just that literally blows my mind. I'm going with Dallas Turner, the edge rusher out of Alabama GPE.Obviously they had a great rookie season from Byron Young and Kobe Turner PERSON on the interior. They still need more off the edge. I think Dallas Turner in what is somewhat of a slide because I think we've had this expectation that he's going to go early to Atlanta. That opens up a lot of different possibilities. But I think the slide stops with the Rams ORG who need more impact up front to go withtheir remade secondary. At number 20, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Graham Barton PERSON, come on down. The center, well, he's a tackle for Duke ORG. I think he'll transition to center for the Pittsburgh Steelers ORG. He's played some center, five starts, I think, throughout his career at Duke ORG, so it's not completely for him.But this is a massive hole for the Pittsburgh Steelers ORG right now. They moved on from Mason Cole PERSON, which was certainly a great move. I don't think Mason Cole PERSON is a very good player, but they need a center. And especially Russ Wilson PERSON, going to be their starting quarterback. You don't want to have quick pressure in his face. I think they need to shore up that interior.Graham Barton, I think goes to the Steelers at number 20. Then with Pick 21, the Miami Dolphins have them going with Jared Verst PERSON, the edge rusher out of Florida State ORG. Thought about Johnny Newton PERSON to help out the interior. But I think with their defensive end situation being Bradley Chubb and Jalen Phillips PERSON, both coming back off of late season significant injuries in ACL Tarrin and Achilles, not to mention, you know, losing Andrew Van Ginkle PERSON. I know that they brought Shaquille Barrett PERSON in. I feel like they want to make sure that they're going to be solid off the edge there. And Jared Verst PERSON is extremely versatile. He's a physical player, a power player, but also has bend and burst. I think he's extremely versatile to kind of fit into this defense for Rashad Weaver PERSON,the new defensive coordinator there. You can make a case for offensive line, but I think they're going to wait on offensive line and they'll get that with their second round pick. But Jared Verst is a nice hedge against the return of their two really good edge rushers and Chub and Phillips PERSON.And then you kind of think long term here for Miami ORG and how they're probably going to need to reset the money in certain areas. They have some opportunities. They have an opportunity pretty soon to get out of that Chub deal. They might want to, and it'd be nice for them to have verse PERSON waiting in the wings. All right, we got picks 22 through 32 coming up here in just a moment. So be sure, stick with me. I've been told that I'm a competitive person. You think that's true? Well, yeah, it is true. I have a competitive side to me. We all do, and my competitive side is a big fan of Monopoly Go PRODUCT.I'm sure you've heard of it. It's been downloaded over 150 million times. It's a great twist on Monopoly where you play on not one but hundreds of monopoly boards in crazy locations building up amazing cities that bring you big money. The best part is that I can mess with my friends. I can charge them rent on my iconic properties, just like classic Monopoly PRODUCT, but I could also rob their vaults of riches for myself and the leaderboards.Show me who the biggest Monopoly PRODUCT tycoon is. But it's not just my competitive side that loves it. You can team up with friends and people all around the world in time tournaments to earn huge rewards. So get in the game and join your friends, download Monopoly Go for free on the app store or Google Play ORG. All right, folks, more picks to get to here. We just finished up with the Miami Dolphins at Pick 21.At 22, the Philadelphia Eagles, they got to be pretty excited about Terry and Arnold PERSON, the corner from Alabama GPE being available. There's no secret here. Philly ORG's got to get younger and more dynamic at the cornerback position. Terry and Arnold PERSON, potentially the best corner in this class slides a little bit. And I think the slide absolutely ends with Philadelphia ORG.That's probably a sprint to the podium moment for Howie Roseman PERSON, if that were to unfold that way. At pick 23, the Arizona Cardinals have them going with Chop Robinson PERSON, the edge rusher out of Penn State ORG. Look, Jonathan Gannon PERSON's a defensive-minded head coach, and he needs some dudes for this defense. And we saw what he could do with a guy like Hassan Reddick back in his time with Philadelphia ORG. Chop Robinson PERSON gives them burst and speed and flexibility off the edge. They need some more talent, some more playmakers. I think Chop Robinson PERSON gives them a ceiling to develop into and provide that. Obviously, with their earlier pick, they got a receiver at Dundze ORG. Now it's time to help out the defense of the form with Chop Robinson PERSON.I pick 24 that Dallas Cowboys have them picking Xavier Worthy, the wide receiver out of Texas GPE. Jerry Jones PERSON loves his longhorns. That's what I've been told. I don't know that this would be the pick that I would make, but this is not a what would Joe PERSON do mock. This is a predictive mock.I think they should be thinking more about their offensive line, but I feel like they're going to want to make sure that they have some explosive components to this offense. And certainly Xavier Worthy PERSON, with his low four two speed, provides that to go with CD land.Green Bay Packers, a pick 25, Talis Fulaga PERSON, the offensive tackle out of Oregon State. I think that the Packers ORG should prioritize the offensive line here. Maybe you can make a case for a defensive back, but you want to, you've got a lot invested here in terms of your young playmakers on offense. Jordan PERSON loves looking good at quarterback. You kind of reset here at the running back position with bringing in Josh Jacobs PERSON. I think you've got to stabilize the offensive line. There'sbeen so much attrition to that unit throughout the years. And obviously there's some turnover this year. Delees Fawaga PERSON gives them an option, potentially at right tackle, at worst guard to fortify this starting offensive line for Green Bay. I pick 26 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers ORG. Cooper DeGine, the corner defensive back from Iowa GPE. Look, I think that the corners in Tampa GPE have kind of been disappointing. They've moved on from some of them. And right now, Zion McCollum PERSON, likely a starter. I don't think you want that. Cooper DeGine PERSON is a versatile defensive back that's physical, takes away the football. He tackles, fits that Todd Bowles PERSON mentality. At 27, the Cardinals ORG are back up again here. Again, the Cardinals ORG, I had them doing some trades.Remember the Vikings ORG whole situation? So they have three first round picks. They go Roma Dunzei, they go Chop Robinson, and now I pick 27, Johnny Newton PERSON, the defensive tackle from Illinois ORG. Again, Jonathan Ganon, defensive minded. They need dudes. They need some playmakers for this defensive unit. And Johnny Newton PERSON is a big time pass rusher from the interior that can start to give them some legitimate answers to make plays and be answers for the Cardinals ORG up front. So another defensive lineman for Jonathan Gannon, this time, Johnny Newton PERSON. Next up is the Buffalo Bills to pick 28. I'm sure there's a lot of people curious what I do with this one. Like I said, I originally had the bills trading up for Brian Thomas PERSON.The more I think about it, I do think that wide receiver is going to be the priority for Brandon Bean here, but I'm not sure that he's going to want to trade heaven and earth to go get a receiver. Xavier Leggett, I have the pick for Buffalo ORG. Sean McDermott PERSON's come out and said that they want a mismatch for the wide receiver position. And 6-1, 220 pounds that runs 4-3-9, that's dynamic with the ball in his hands. It can win at all three levels. There's not going to be a lot of defensive backs in the NFL that are going to be able to be physical enough and athletic enough to deal with Xavier Leggett PERSON. They want yards after catch. They want plays down the field. Xavier Leggett PERSON does that and it gives them something different. They don't have this type of player in their current weaponry. I think that makes Xavier Legate PERSON the pick. They had a private workout with him. I know there's some momentum here. I'm buying in. And boy, oh boy, would I love it. At pick 29, the Detroit Lions, Koolade McKinstree PERSON,the corner out of Alabama GPE. I think they haven't needed corner, obviously, with kind of what's happened with Cam Sutton PERSON. They need an answer here. And Kool-Aid PRODUCT McKinstree fits the Detroit Lions mantra of physicality, you know, guys that's going to tackle, playoff contact, be physical with receivers. He can do all those things. I'm a big fan of Kool-Aid McKinstree PRODUCT. I think he's a lion through and through. I pick 30, the Baltimore Ravens ORG have them going with Tyler Guyton, offensive tackle out of Oklahoma ORG. I can see it, right? They trade away MorganMoses. They probably want to get younger and cheaper on the offensive line. Am I 100% convinced that this is a marriage? No, but this is a contest, right? The huddle report, I think Tyler Guyton goes somewhere in the first round. I think there's a chance that it could be Baltimore ORG. So I think I'm aligning the need for Baltimore ORG tackle or the offensive line. The likelihood of Tyler Guyton going in the first round, and I'm trying to get the point, right? So you get a point for every player picked in the first round. You get two points for every player and match that you have. And so I'm definitely playing the game here a little bit with that selection. Pick 31, the San Francisco 49ers, Darius Robinson, the defensive lineman from Missouri GPE. I think that they want to continue to bolster this, this defensive line. I know they signed Leonard Floyd. They have Nick Bosa PERSON. But on the interior, I think there's obviously some turnover. Eric Armstead PERSON no longer there. And I think Darius Robinson PERSON gives them some of that size, that length that they prefer. And so inside, outside flexibility, the type of defensive line. We've kind of seen the 49ers ORG go after. I have him as the pick. And then lastly, the Kansas City Chiefs at pick 32, AD 32, A.D. Mitchell, the wide receiver from Texas GPE, I know there's some questions there. The Chiefs ORG have been more than willing to invest in receivers with questions. And this type of body control and ball skills and vertical ability makes a lot of sense to go with Patrick Mahomes and, you know, Kelsey and whatever happens with Rishie Rice PERSON. Like, I think it's a nice complimentary player to add to this mix. So 80 Mitchell to the Chiefs, pick 32. So there you have it. My final predictive mock draft, the hay is in the barn. The speculation for me is over. Not for Kyle Crabs PERSON. You'll hear from him later on today with his final mock draft. And then, of course, Thursday is the 2024 NFL ORG draft.
