Speaker 488.54s - 100.34s

I know we're a hashtag no free pub podcast, but Kyle Crabs, NFL ORG draft analysts, analysis brought to you by C4 ORG. What time did you get to bed last night? Late, yeah.

Speaker 3100.6s - 116.2s

What time? Not late. What time did your head hit the pillow last? 3.41. And certainly it would have been later, but I don't know if you caught this or not, but the bills didn't make a first round pick.So I didn't have to do the like listen to the player press conference and try to find

Speaker 0116.2s - 128.02s

all the videos and hype myself up by watching the player. I didn't have to do any of that. So I think I got away a little bit early. So I had to stay up late. Of course, that was always the case. But not as late as it would have been if an actual player

Speaker 3128.02s - 134.22s

was picked. I was also in the three o'clock hour. And I know your show production prep work is

Speaker 4134.22s - 158.52s

notoriously longer than mine. So I made it to get that show in and do the pressers. When we got off the air and finished debriefing with one another about how the stream went last night, which we were on YouTube, we had over 20,000 viewers in the first night in the, what, the first 12 hours? Yeah.

Speaker 2158.76s - 172.02s

We had 2,500 concurrent viewers who were with us towards the end, which I think is impressive. A lot of the streams, they start big and then they fall off, right? Yeah, we just gain a moment of the whole time. We're really, really cool with seeing how the viewers continue to stack as the round went.

Speaker 4172.44s - 203.44s

So that was very exciting and that was very cool. And we thank everybody who tuned in. And if you missed it, we hope you will join us live on YouTube. It's on locked on bills, locked on dolphins, locked on NFL ORG and locked on NFL and locked on NFL. And locked on NFL ORG scouting YouTube channels. So come chat, engage. and we will engage with you. It was very fun with the chat. But after we finished debriefing and got off, I got in and missed like the first two minutes of the head coach GM presser, but I had missed the player availability. So go catch that.

Speaker 2203.44s - 220.12s

Did all that, got caught up on the player, did the podcast, got it produced, kind of looked back over the draft, and that's been the big thing for me, and we can talk about it maybe a little bit towards the end, but kind of looking at like night two and what domino's based on what's left on the

Speaker 4220.12s - 223.74s

board. You kind of think that goes. So I was about 3.30.

Speaker 3224.82s - 229.7s

I think you do well for yourself, considering you picked a player. So he still had to do a show.

Speaker 4229.7s - 233.34s

You just didn't. Yeah, yeah, I did to do a show. But you don't through the hoops. No, you know how it is.

Speaker 3233.34s - 239.04s

Like you still spend the night thinking about that first round pick and you go back and you watch

Speaker 4239.04s - 244.24s

tape and like you do all those things. So yeah, like I would have been later. And it's a fair call out

Speaker 3244.24s - 245.28s

that my show prep

Speaker 4245.28s - 250.74s

process is much longer than yours. Um, which I envy that about you, but thorough human being,

Speaker 3250.74s - 265.36s

Joe Reno. Right. Well, I, I, I'm not as, um, I'm not as sharp off the hip as is Kyle Crabs PERSON. Let's put it that way. All right. So we got, um, 32. Yeah, it happens. So the first round's in the book. Something we speculate over for weeks and months. The haste, the haze first round's in the book, something we speculate over for weeks and months.

Speaker 4266.24s - 270.76s

The haze, the haze. It's in the barn, fully in the barn when it comes to the first round.

Speaker 3270.96s - 277.24s

So we have a lot of picks left, but a lot of picks to reflect upon. And of course, we'll start with reacting to the top 10.

Speaker 4277.24s - 281.54s

And if you want our real time reactions, you can go back and watch the stream and see how that was.

Speaker 3281.7s - 283.4s

Can we put the link to that in the show description?

Speaker 4283.74s - 285.84s

Yeah, I can do that for sure.

Speaker 2286.26s - 286.38s

Cool.

Speaker 4287.76s - 292.68s

The story early, we kind of had that chalky start, right, where we did get the three

Speaker 3292.68s - 322.38s

quarterbacks in a row, all the offensive players in the top 10. But let's be honest, the story of the top 10 is Michael Pennix, going to the Atlanta Falcons at number eight overall. After guaranteeing $100 million to Kirk Cousins PERSON, they really did nothing at all to help them win in this window with Kirk Cousins PERSON. So like I, there's plenty to say about these other picks, but how do you, how do you get your mind off anything other than that selection when it comes to the top 10?

Speaker 4322.5s - 410.06s

Yeah, that's, it's, it was the big upset. You could talk about Minnesota ORG getting McCarthy and not having to be really aggressive to land him and that that was who was where the Patriots going to blink at three and all that. But Atlanta ORG as in off the reservation quarterback pickwhen you add in the dynamic of what they've now invested in their quarterback room, it's a really hard pill to swallow. This was, there was a sweet spot in this draft for, like, impactful players. They could have had their choice of any defensive player on the board. And I know this spent a lot in free agency last year to kind of get the floor of the defense up to a certain level. And I know they have continuity along the offensive line. And I know they've used first round picks and top 10 picks on skill players on the offensive side of all for three straight years with the tight end and wide receiver and running back. Like I know there's an infrastructure that exists here. How in God's name is this the best? How do you sell this to Kirk Cousins PERSON? How do you sell this to your owner as making the most of this opportunity that you have? You really sit here and talk about, oh, if he doesn't play for three or four years, it just means we have good quarterback play. And if you don't play for four years, how old is Michael Pennick's PERSON going to be withoutever playing?

Speaker 3410.36s - 411.96s

27 years old.

Speaker 4414.06s - 421.56s

Why did you sign Kirk Cousins PERSON if you didn't expect to get good quarterback play for the next

Speaker 3421.56s - 422.76s

three to four years?

Speaker 4424.38s - 425.88s

And pay him what you paid him.

Speaker 3426.12s - 437.44s

Four years, $180 million with $100 million guaranteed. Right. Your expectation when you sign that contract was to get high-end quarterback play.

Speaker 4438.94s - 445.5s

And are we going to sit here and act like this was the only chance that Atlanta was going to have at drafting a quarterback in the next three years? Like, some. They've turned down that chance over and over again. to sit here and act like this was the only chance that Atlanta was going to have at drafting a quarterback in the next three years? Like some,

Speaker 3445.5s - 448.3s

they've turned down that chance over and over again.

Speaker 4448.4s - 480.42s

It's totally different than the Jordan Love PERSON thing, right? Because that, that's the analogy that I'm sure some would want to make is, well, Green Bay had an old veteran quarterback, and they drafted Jordan Love PERSON,and they sat him and let him develop, and it came together. The profile of these two quarterbacks is totally different. One was at 26 and it cost you a fourth round pick the trade up and get. And one of it came at number eight overall after you just acquired the other quarterback. It's crazy to me.

Speaker 2481.46s - 489.2s

And, you know, I'm sure there will when the dust settles, Falcons ORG fans will probably be

Speaker 4489.2s - 511.64s

excited about theoretically having a long-term answer at the position. And I just feel like this is a massive opportunity cost. It's, it's, I was lower on Michael Pennings PERSON to begin with, but, but for me, the real true issue I have with the pick is the opportunity cost of what else you could have had with the eighth overall pick.

Speaker 3513.78s - 548.82s

Kyle, they don't have an out of Kirk Cousin's contract until after 2026. Yeah, they're, they're, it's what, three years? Yeah, this isn't, this isn't like a pay-as-you-go deal. They locked themselves in seemingly for three years. So, so many other things to talk about in the top 10, it's just that overshadows at all.We wind up getting five top 10 quarterbacks, six in the top 12, and we're going to do our stuff with quarterbacks and landing. Like, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2548.88s - 550.06s

We're going to get into all that.

Speaker 3550.16s - 550.98s

Yeah, that's all coming.

Speaker 4550.98s - 561.34s

So we will, they will all have, wow, that Michael, Michael Panic PERSON's conversation is going to be weird. We will do it, though. Can we talk real quick, rapid fire before the first break? Yeah.

Speaker 3562.44s - 567.12s

Thoughts on knee jerk reaction, reaction, chargers going offensive tackle,

Speaker 4567.26s - 569.52s

but Alt PERSON instead of late them. Good.

Speaker 2569.7s - 573.46s

They did the right thing. Yeah, that's the best player, for sure, by far.

Speaker 4575.46s - 582.16s

Bears going Roma Dunzee's third wide receiver in that group with their other pig in the top ten.

Speaker 3582.44s - 590.32s

Hard to be mad about what they've done to support Caleb Williams now and projecting it into the future.

Speaker 4591.06s - 594.88s

Giants swerving everybody and preferring Malik neighbors instead of Robo Dunezai PERSON.

Speaker 3595.3s - 612.18s

They want yak an explosive plays clearly. Titans pivot off of Joe Alt PERSON. So J.C. Latham, the pick, excited for him to work with Bill Callahan PERSON. Obviously, need a tackle. They didn't get their guy in Alt PERSON, but that's not a bad fallback option.

Speaker 4613.34s - 621.3s

Is there any chance that do you think the Titans ORG double dip and draft another tackle here? Surely, yeah, I'm not, I'm not dismissing that at all.

Speaker 3621.3s - 623.7s

Draft Kingsley in the top 40 here, if he makes it?

Speaker 2624.6s - 627.04s

Yeah, I don't think it's not on the table.

Speaker 3627.98s - 632.96s

I would low-key love that with like how they've attacked some of their other spots on their roster.

Speaker 4633.58s - 637.26s

We've kind of observed like, oh, they're like oddly aggressive for a team that's making all these changes.

Speaker 3637.98s - 638.12s

Yeah.

Speaker 4638.44s - 644.44s

Go get the other tackle. Do the Seattle Seahawks thing when it was Charles Cross and Abe Lucas in the first three rounds.

Speaker 3644.74s - 647.82s

Yeah, especially with what you've kind of had over the last couple of years there.

Speaker 2647.96s - 648.16s

Yeah.

Speaker 4649.18s - 653.16s

All right, we're getting outside the top ten in here in just a moment, so be sure to stick with us.

Speaker 3656.16s - 709s

So, Joe PERSON, we,

Speaker 3775.18s - 775.66s

Oh, hold on.

Speaker 0775.94s - 777.2s

Look at old Ross Jackson PERSON.

Speaker 4777.92s - 779.44s

Finescing his way into the podcast.

Speaker 0779.6s - 780.04s

You know what I mean?

Speaker 3780.28s - 781.92s

He heard us talking about him all this time.

Speaker 4781.98s - 790.2s

He says, let me be part of the show. You know, we're going to change a little bit of our ad structure. So I'm going to have a pre-recorded. Respect the move. Ross, we'd love you to just be on standup. Yeah.

Speaker 3790.5s - 797.06s

So you can do it live. Here we are. We're talking crap about Ross Jackson PERSON. He comes in. He says, people. Free desserts for life.18.

Speaker 4797.32s - 833.08s

I'm going to be gracious myself with the listener base. Right. Because I've been painted as the bad guy for keeping these shows short, 33 minutes or less. Respect it. I respect the hustle, Ross. Yep.Well, we're going to push 33 today. I have a feeling. We have 12 picks here in this block, Joe PERSON. It's the middle picks. It's 11 through 22. So you had Olufashanu trade down one spot with the Jets ORG,pivot off of Roma Dunzei, Bo Nix PERSON, quarterback. You see Benjamin Albright's tweet like six hours before the draft?

Speaker 2833.32s - 838.6s

Dude. The first letter of every sentence was spelled out, it's bow.

Speaker 4839.22s - 839.48s

Tremendous.

Speaker 2840.62s - 841.24s

Tremendous.

Speaker 4843.12s - 843.4s

Hat tip, Benjamin Albright PERSON.

Speaker 3847.28s - 847.56s

So Bo Nix goes 12 to the Broncos, Brock Bowers to the Raiders ORG,

Speaker 4849.96s - 850.56s

Talis Fuaga to the Saints ORG,

Speaker 3853.54s - 854.06s

Layatu, Latu to the Colts, Byron Murphy to the Seahawks ORG,

Speaker 4856.66s - 857.28s

Dallas Turner the Vikings after trading up from 23,

Speaker 3861.76s - 861.88s

Amerius Mims to the Bengals, Jared Verst, to the L.A. Rams ORG,

Speaker 4863.7s - 867.58s

Troy Fultano, to the Pittsburgh Steelers ORG, Chop Robinson, the Miami Dolphins, and Quinion Mitchell to the Philadelphia Eagles ORG.

Speaker 3870.98s - 887.88s

I feel like this is a stretch of picks that you're quite fond of. I remember during the live stream, you continuously saying, like, I feel like this is like a great stretch of best player on the board meets need, appropriate value. Like, I think these teams did a lot of logical stuff here in this stretch.

Speaker 4888.38s - 966.52s

Well, I will, I'll show you and I'll show everybody at home. This is what I had up to keep track of the picks throughout the course of the round. And I'll make sure that everybody can see it. You can see, like, the Navy blues are top 10 grades. The blues are first round grades. The dark greens are late first round grades. And then the greens are second round grades. So look at from 13 to 22. You got first round pick, late one, first round pick, top 10, first round, late one, first round pick, top 10, second round pick, first round pick. It was like where you really had this exhaustion of, okay, we're going to go quarterback crazy and we're going to have the most of the blue chip talent come off with Harrison PERSON, all the neighbors were three of my five top 10 grades that I gave out this year. All of them come off the board in the early first six picks and then with three quarterbacks obviously positional value.13 was like, all right, we're drafting value. And I thought by and large for the vast majority of this group, that is what you saw exhausted coming down the pipe.

Speaker 3968.32s - 993.52s

I think my favorite pick in this stretch is Amarius Mims to the Cincinnati Bengals ORG. I just think he's a rare guy. I really do. I know that he hasn't played a ton, eight career starts, but I don't think you have a higher ceiling player in this class.

Speaker 2993.56s - 994.36s

Is that a hot take?

Speaker 3999.66s - 1000.48s

Probably not.

Speaker 21000.82s - 1004.56s

Probably it's a reasonable opinion to have, whether it's a hot take or not.

Speaker 41006.88s - 1011.34s

Fitting their prototype, I mean, they have not been able to run the ball in SINC for a while.

Speaker 31011.34s - 1029.56s

I mean, this guy has, excuse me, unbelievable power, unbelievable size, length, athleticism. I just, I feel like that's such a great swing at Pick 18 to come away with that type of talent and at a position of perpetual need for Cincinnati ORG.

Speaker 41030.56s - 1065.5s

I would like to put the disclaimer for anyone that did watch on YouTube ORG. If you were offended by the color code or the ranking of the player that you saw, please know that is those grades are specifically tailored to one individual team and the expected schemes that they would run on both sides of the ball. Okay. All right. I think that's important to impress because it's important context. My draft analyst board would look different if I had just a 32 team board versus this individual board. What's your favorite pick in this stretch?

Speaker 31066.16s - 1067.82s

Probably Quignan at 22.

Speaker 41069.08s - 1092.38s

It's good. The top eight player for me, you got him at 22 at premier position, was an intersection of need, didn't have to move down to get them. I think, you know, Byron Murphy's on that short list too with Seattle ORG. I really appreciate what that does for their defensive trench play, which was really bad down the stretch last year. So I think those are two really good

Speaker 31092.38s - 1100.18s

values in the back half of the first round. Yeah. And even like Dallas Turner to Minnesota ORG,

Speaker 41100.18s - 1107.44s

where the, we get 14 offensive picks in a row.

Speaker 31108s - 1124.84s

I think some of these teams, Seattle, Minnesota, the Rams ORG, I think they did a, Eagles ORG did a really good job of allowing the offensive run to position themselves to get the best defensive talent in the draft.

Speaker 01126.1s - 1130.92s

Like if Byron Murphy was the number nine pick to the Bears ORG, we wouldn't have blinked an eye.

Speaker 21131.08s - 1135.62s

If the Falcons picked Dallas Turner at eight, we wouldn't have blinked an eye.

Speaker 01135.82s - 1136.42s

I should have.

Speaker 31137.94s - 1144.08s

Well, this is, that this is, this is going to be a long time talking point.

Speaker 21144.08s - 1144.74s

It would be a big bit.

Speaker 31144.86s - 1145.84s

Yeah, big bit for the show.

Speaker 21146.98s - 1147.34s

Right.

Speaker 31147.42s - 1148.78s

I think across football analysis.

Speaker 41151.04s - 1153s

So yeah, nice stretch of defensive picks.

Speaker 31153.68s - 1159.64s

And then I think some, like I like the Ameri Smaeus Mims ORG pick. I like Troy Fittano to Pittsburgh ORG. I love that pick.

Speaker 21160.14s - 1162.32s

Whether he plays tackle or inside.

Speaker 31162.8s - 1163.12s

Right.

Speaker 41163.98s - 1168.22s

Just buck kickers up front, 350 pound buck kicker to go with Roder Jones PERSON.

Speaker 31169.22s - 1172.78s

That's some dynamic talent for your offensive line.

Speaker 41172.98s - 1174s

I got to figure out center,

Speaker 31174.2s - 1176.22s

but I like the idea of like,

Speaker 21177.42s - 1179.5s

but Tonos is a better prospect than Graham Barton PERSON.

Speaker 31180.12s - 1184.28s

Better prospect. So get the better players.

Speaker 41184.28s - 1187.3s

Yeah, as somebody who is probably,

Speaker 31187.96s - 1192.58s

I would describe neutral on my team's first round pick at 21.

Speaker 41194.18s - 1226.26s

I would have loved for Graham Barton PERSON to have gone instead to address the need to push a different player down for the domino effect that potentially could have had for my team to add an offensive lineman. They did the right thing in taking the more dynamic and more diverse and high value player because he can play tackle, whether you think he's a tackle or not. He can play tackle where I think Graham Barton PERSON is universally projected as an inside player.Still going to be a good player, I think, and we'll talk about him in the next block.

Speaker 31228.18s - 1236.9s

I'm going to do the thing that you did to me, closing out the first segment with some rapid fire reaction. Okay. Olu Foshanu, the Jets move back one spot, get the tackle out of Penn State ORG.

Speaker 41237.82s - 1243.4s

Smart correction to last year's fatal flaw.

Speaker 21245.04s - 1247.76s

Bo Nix. It's Bo. Broncos, 12.

Speaker 31250.76s - 1260.42s

Might be my favorite fit of quarterback in style with head coach of any of the first round guys.

Speaker 21260.96s - 1263.92s

The Raiders get a tight end, Brock Bowers the year after getting Michael Mayer.

Speaker 41264.42s - 1307.3s

Versatility and personnel, and for a team that you expect is going to want to be bully ball and be physical. Having two tight ends, you can throw a team. He's going to allow them to do that. Talese Fulaga, tackle, Saints ORG. Inside, outside, versatility fits the M.O. of, you think about that entire interior with McCoy and Ruiz PERSON. He's another one of those just bolder body types that I think fits exactly what they probably like to be. Two more.Leitu-Latulatu edge UCLA to the Colts ORG. Nice to see them diverse, continuing to diversify their edge group after being very one-dimensional with the kinds of guys they went after there for a long time.

Speaker 31307.94s - 1312.86s

The first, first-round pick in the history of Sean McVease tenure as head coach of the Rams ORG, Jared versus edge rusher Florida State ORG.

Speaker 41313.14s - 1332.5s

A high floor, but also high-ceiling player at a premier position that I think was a good value with the pick that they made at 19, especially considering the opportunity cost of them apparently being in conversations to move up into the top 10. with the pick that they made at 19, especially considering the opportunity cost of them, apparently being in conversations to move up into the top 10. I think this is a much better outcome than what moving into the top 10 would have given the ramps.

Speaker 31336.26s - 1398.72s

I agree, especially if they were moving into the top 10 for Brock Bowers PERSON, who you didn't have to move into the top 10 to get. So right, there's that. All right, the back 10 of the first round. We're talking about that here in just a moment. So be short, stick with us.I've been told that I'm a competitive, I'm a competitive person. I know that Kyle Craves PERSON is extremely competitive. We all have a competitive side, and my competitive side is a big fan of Monopoly Go. I'm sure you've heard of it. It's been downloaded over 150 million times. It's a great twist on Mon monopoly where you play on not one, but hundreds of Monopoly PRODUCT boards in crazy locations, building up amazing cities that bring you big money. But the best part is messing with my friends. I can charge them rent on my iconic properties, just like classic Monopoly PRODUCT, but now I can also rob their vaults of riches for myself, and the leaderboard show me who the biggest monopoly tycoon is. But it's not just my competitiveside that loves it. You can team up with family, friends, and people from all around the world in time tournaments to earn huge rewards. So get in the game and join your friends. Download Monopoly Go for free on the app store or Google Play ORG. What is going on?

Speaker 41398.76s - 1401.24s

We are falling apart. Are we?

Speaker 31401.32s - 1402.52s

You had the little tickle.

Speaker 41402.62s - 1422.64s

Now I have something in my eye. Oh, man. Yeah. I had to tickle last night while I was trying to do my third segment of locked on dolphins and we had to battle through that I actually had to mute and I try nothing like mute or pause or like turn off the mic and cough and all that's I had to do all of it I was like really trying to figure myself out and now I'm

Speaker 31422.64s - 1425.02s

trying to get whatever's in my eye right now. I'm trying to get it out.

Speaker 41425.68s - 1425.94s

A lot of talking.

Speaker 31426.1s - 1427.04s

You know, a lot of talking here.

Speaker 41427.24s - 1428.06s

Not a lot of sleep.

Speaker 31428.24s - 1430.54s

So I have a lot of talking.

Speaker 41430.98s - 1431.18s

Okay.

Speaker 31431.62s - 1432.76s

Wouldn't have it any other way though.

Speaker 41433.24s - 1433.4s

Yeah,

Speaker 31433.4s - 1434.06s

it's a lot of fun.

Speaker 41434.42s - 1435.82s

And we're going to do it again today.

Speaker 31436.24s - 1438.22s

You have any media spots of it lined up today?

Speaker 41438.28s - 1439.54s

Are you kind of in the clear?

Speaker 31439.96s - 1440.6s

You know, Kyle PERSON?

Speaker 41441.08s - 1441.82s

I said no.

Speaker 31442.62s - 1443.72s

I got to do my own thing.

Speaker 41443.72s - 1445.34s

You have to, right?

Speaker 21445.44s - 1446.9s

Like, it would just be,

Speaker 41447.58s - 1459.18s

it's the potential for so much. Right. And you already are doing your own stuff. Right. Just a strategic decision and be like, look. Completely inundated.

Speaker 21459.18s - 1460.8s

Now I get some of my other eye.

Speaker 41460.9s - 1461.76s

What is happening?

Speaker 31462.76s - 1463.82s

I can put my seat back.

Speaker 21463.88s - 1464.52s

Go ahead, talk about it.

Speaker 41464.52s - 1464.68s

All right.

Speaker 31464.78s - 1484.4s

So we're going to get through this this back 10 picks that includes Brian Thomas to the Jags, Terry and Arnold PERSON to the lions, Jordan Morgan to the Packers, Graham Barton, you're a buccaneer, Darius Robinson PERSON, Cardinals, Xavier worthy to the chiefs, Tyler Guyton, to the Cowboys, Nate Wiggins PERSON, to the Ravens, Ricky PERSON Pear Sal to the Niners. Pretty Ricky!

Speaker 21485.22s - 1486s

Xavier Legg. First job pick, baby. Pretty Ricky! I think Xavier Leggett PERSON.

Speaker 31486s - 1487.3s

First job pick, baby.

Speaker 21487.62s - 1487.9s

Right.

Speaker 31488.1s - 1489.2s

That was a big one for you.

Speaker 21489.8s - 1491.94s

Xavier Legget to the Carolina Panthers ORG.

Speaker 31492.8s - 1495.28s

This is going to be the Pukkah thing all over again.

Speaker 21495.92s - 1496.62s

With Parasol PERSON?

Speaker 31497.04s - 1497.56s

With Ricky PERSON.

Speaker 21498.22s - 1499.08s

Going to Sam Fran PERSON.

Speaker 31500.08s - 1505.52s

One of my sources from yesterday did have an update this morning.

Speaker 41506s - 1511.18s

Sounds like there may be some momentum for Debo Samuel PERSON getting moved. Oh, okay.

Speaker 21511.18s - 1519.52s

I mean, they just drafted a first round receiver amid rumblings that Ayuk and Samuel PERSON could be moved.

Speaker 31519.72s - 1523.2s

So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 21524.64s - 1526.74s

We have several receivers here.

Speaker 31527.24s - 1528.2s

Is it four?

Speaker 21528.62s - 1531.96s

Parasol, Leggett, worthy, Brian Thomas PERSON.

Speaker 31532.44s - 1538.96s

What's your problem, man? The bills? Yeah, what's your problem? Very clearly, they didn't want to draft any of those players.

Speaker 41539.16s - 1568.7s

I know that. I don't have a problem with not wanting to draft any of those players. You guys let the Chiefs ORG have. Oh, I can't even, I can't even deal with this conversation. It's like, it's the fact that you know it's dumb and we both know that it's dumb. But it's the whole like going back to like, the Chiefs got Mahomes PERSON because of a trade up with the bills. And now there's another one. It's just like this fun little thing for me to poke you with from time to time

Speaker 31568.7s - 1579.56s

because I know you're going to be like, dude, just shut up. It's not, it's not how hard. Kyle Craves PERSON, there's a lot of people that think you're true. I mean, like, there's people that believe that the bills allowed the chiefs to get Tyree Kill PERSON back. You know what I mean?

Speaker 41579.56s - 1581.86s

Like, that's a, that's a true thing.

Speaker 31582.1s - 1618.38s

And let's be honest, if, if Xavier Worthy PERSON is, in fact, an ex-Tyrich Hill, there's 28 teams passed him over. And I would say that was probably about 28 mistakes. Um, obviously, it's exciting to think about Xavier Worthy PERSON with the chiefs and the speed and what he brings with Hollywood Brown ORG. And that's been a team that's been pretty devoid of, of down the field production in the passing game. Well, they're going to be pretty bulletproof, however you want to align because they have speed, that's going to be a problem. So you can understand why the chiefs did this. I mean, if the bills would have sat there and picked Cooper to Jean at 28 and then the,

Speaker 21618.88s - 1630.34s

the chiefs traded up with the Cardinals or Cowboys or something. Like the bills didn't enable them to get Xavier worthy.

Speaker 31630.48s - 1643.66s

They were going to get Xavier worthy. The bills didn't want to draft them clearly. They had the chance to do it. So I kind of get it for the chiefs, but also I know that it's a thing, but it's not really a thing that the bills enabled them to get them.

Speaker 21644.96s - 1645s

Your biggest surprise out of this block takes. but it's not really a thing that the bills enabled them to get them.

Speaker 31647.06s - 1650.24s

Your biggest surprise out of this block of picks?

Speaker 21650.66s - 1651.86s

Um,

Speaker 31655.96s - 1662.98s

my biggest surprise out of this block of picks. I think the fact that the lions were able to get Terry and Arnold PERSON, I know that they had a modest move up to get them,

Speaker 41663.22s - 1672.94s

but I, I don't even know that I would call it a modest move. They paid a pretty good price with a three. To get one, I don't know, I think he's a top 15 player in this class.

Speaker 31673.7s - 1676.8s

Yeah, oh yeah, I don't think it's a bad move by any means.

Speaker 41676.8s - 1685.12s

I'm just saying, I think from a price perspective, kind of the historical trends.

Speaker 31690.58s - 1691.48s

Green Bay, when they traded up for Jordan Love and a quarterback tradeup sent a four to go from 30 to 26.

Speaker 41694.92s - 1694.94s

So Detroit sent an early three, right?

Speaker 31695.88s - 1697.52s

It was in the 70s. 75, yeah.

Speaker 21697.78s - 1703.34s

Yeah. So I think they paid an ambitious price.

Speaker 41703.52s - 1787.26s

And when you're trading up, you need to coax the team that's there to come out because otherwise you'd see a lot more trades. If it's like, hey, we're going to give you trade fair value on the trade value chart. Teams are going to say, no, thanks. We'll stay and pick a player unless it's completely lost. You got to make it worth their while. And Detroit ORG made it worth their while. And I think they did it for a right kind of player in Taryn Arnold PERSON. It's your biggest surprise in the back ten. Jordan Morgan, I think he's probably mine. I like the fit with Green Bay. I like the stylistic kind of offensive lineman that he is. We heard in the entire pre-draft process, they were head over heels for Marius Mimsand they obviously didn't get a chance to sniff him. But going Jordan Morgan over Tyler Guyton PERSON is not nothing for me. When you consider Zach Tom's PERSON positional flexibility and Eldon Jenkins's PERSON positional flexibility, like I think you very easily could have said, we'll take Guyton PERSON. So for them to like Jordan Morgan over Tyler Guyton PERSON, I think is a little surprising to me.Not that I dislike the pick of Jordan Morgan by any means. I, for one, am glad we finally got one of this kind of player to go in the first round. Because it feels like there's this kind of offensive lineman every year.

Speaker 31787.82s - 1788.5s

Matthew Bergeron PERSON.

Speaker 41788.76s - 1791.44s

Matthew Bergeron PERSON is the exact name that was like top of my mind.

Speaker 31791.84s - 1820.3s

And they almost always are like, oh, they go in the mid-30s. Oh, they just missed the first round. It's good for the breakthrough of that kind of player for Jordan Morgan to get the breakthrough to go in the first round. Well, and I think that trade back kind of works out for Dallas as well, where we started to get a little bit nervous, like, because they trade back with, with Detroit, and then Jordan Morgan's the next pick, then Graham Barton PERSON's the next pick. You're like, oh, no. And then you start to think is, is Kansas City or Baltimore going to move

Speaker 21820.3s - 1825.72s

up for Guyton to get ahead of Dallas? And then they're able to get that three.

Speaker 31833.38s - 1839.46s

And Tyler Guyton, who if they picked Tyler Guyton at 24, nobody would have thought that was weird. So nice job, right? Got a little nervous, but it worked out.

Speaker 41842.04s - 1860.46s

Carolina coming up for Leggett PERSON, like that fit for them a lot. We went into that on the live stream. I think the domino effects will be fascinating to see what San Francisco does and what their wide receiver room ends up looking like after drafting Pearsall in the first round. Was he, he was teammates with Ayyook at Arizona State ORG, right?

Speaker 31861.46s - 1863.02s

Yeah, I would think so. Yeah.

Speaker 41864.36s - 1867.42s

So Jaden Daniels PERSON had what I yuck in pairs.

Speaker 31867.96s - 1871.7s

So somebody put out the list of like all the talent that was at Arizona State at one point,

Speaker 41871.7s - 1878.54s

like in the late 2010s. It, it's a crazy, hold on. I'll pull it up before you know,

Speaker 31878.62s - 1886.8s

the year. Yeah, they didn't maximize that. What was that? Herm Edwards PERSON, was able to get some talent in there.

Speaker 41887.16s - 1887.5s

Here it is.

Speaker 31887.6s - 1890.56s

This is from J-Book 37 on Twitter ORG.

Speaker 41891.12s - 1891.54s

Okay.

Speaker 31891.9s - 1892.52s

At one point,

Speaker 31906.48s - 1907.58s

Not a lot to show for it.

Speaker 21908.42s - 1910.72s

In terms of the success of that program.

Speaker 31910.72s - 1913.92s

The replies are not kind to Herman Edwards PERSON.

Speaker 41915.3s - 1915.74s

Right.

Speaker 31916.58s - 1920.06s

Generational fumbler has been invoked more than once.

Speaker 41921.52s - 1937.4s

Tusha PERSON. So as we get out of here, biggest thing you're looking for tonight, what's the one storyline you're most interested to see how it plays out? I mean, obviously for me,

Speaker 31937.52s - 1941.78s

it's the bill's now having three picks on night two, including number 33.

Speaker 21942.02s - 1944.08s

They didn't address their wide receiver room yet.

Speaker 01944.82s - 1948.56s

I don't think that Brandon Bean traded away Stefan Diggs and out of the first round because

Speaker 31948.56s - 1950.24s

he doesn't have a plan for a wide receiver.

Speaker 21950.98s - 1956.22s

So I, I'm certainly curious in that, even if it's the Homer PERSON answer.

Speaker 31958.8s - 1963.7s

For me, it is when Johnny Newton PERSON gets his name called.

Speaker 41965.78s - 1969.16s

I think he's kind of, like I like Cooper DeGine PERSON a lot.

Speaker 21969.24s - 1970.38s

I had a first round grade on to him,

Speaker 41970.46s - 1987.54s

but with a medical flag, I had Johnny Newton with the first round grade with a medical flag. And I had Peyton Wilson PERSON with a medical flag that like I probably would not draft him one day too either. That's how bad the Peyton Wilson PERSON one is. Johnny Newton PERSON clearly for me best available player and what has now become a premium position.

Speaker 21987.92s - 1990.62s

Like how long do you wait? As teams like,

Speaker 41990.72s - 2002.2s

okay, we got out of the first route. Like now we're cool with it. Yeah. Like Arizona ORG jump on him after investing in a couple of guys that are like, reasonable interior defensive linemen, but not really needle moving type players. That for me is where I'm really interesting.

Speaker 32003.4s - 2037.84s

I like the running backs. Like where do we see Trey Benson and John Brooks and Blake Corum PERSON go? Because I think there's some really nice destinations where teams need backs that make sense. Dallas, the chargers, you know, how do they get involved there? We didn't see a safety linebacker or running back go in the first round. But I think they're going to start going today. And so I think there's going to be some starters drafted at those positions. Interested to see like what teams pull the trigger on those guys and what those opportunities are.

Speaker 42038.02s - 2061.98s

Well, we'll find out. And you can find out with us in real time as it happens because we will be live on the YouTube channels of Locked on Dolphins, Locked on Infil Scouting, Locked on NFL and Locked on Bill WORK_OF_ART. So come by, see us tonight. We're live for rounds two and three of the 2024 NFL draft on Kyle Crabs PERSON. He's Joe Marino PERSON.This was your off-the-cuff reaction after the fact, the debrief, the dust settles a little bit. We can't wait to see what happens tonight and we hope to see you that.
