Speaker 458.96s - 77.32s

Kirby Smart PERSON, highest-paid coach in college football, and that is appropriately so. This man is the best in the business. We're going to tell you why next on Locked on Bulldogs WORK_OF_ART. You are Locked on Bulldogs WORK_OF_ART.

Speaker 277.32s - 88.3s

Your daily podcast on the Georgia Bulldogs ORG. Part of the Locked On Podcast Network, your team every day. Is up, everybody.

Speaker 388.8s - 119.16s

Welcome back to the Locked-on Bulldogs WORK_OF_ART podcast. He is Clint PERSON. I am Daniel PERSON. Welcome to another week talking about Georgia ORG football and basketball. We love that you're here. We love that we're here, to be totally honest with you.And we love the Monopoly Go is here talking about them later on today's episode uh download the app on the app store google play store monopoly go more on them in the moment but as clint mentioned in the cold open there um kirby smart got himself a little bit of a raise

Speaker 0119.16s - 126.06s

last week um it's a little bit old news at this point, but we're discussing it here.

Speaker 3127.04s - 138.9s

Contract goes up to 233. That's the number that is interesting. I know people are going to talk about the 13 million and whatnot. I don't care about that.

Speaker 5139.34s - 141.1s

233, Clint PERSON.

Speaker 3141.82s - 147.6s

The man is signed for until then.

Speaker 5147.6s - 154.6s

Now, obviously, he could step away at any point during that contract.

Speaker 0154.6s - 159.94s

And that number really, it doesn't mean a ton.

Speaker 3160.18s - 166.82s

Kirby Smart's job is not going to be in jeopardy between now in 2033.

Speaker 4166.98s - 169.24s

Never was, never will be.

Speaker 3169.36s - 169.84s

Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 4169.96s - 173.04s

So that number really doesn't matter a ton,

Speaker 3173.14s - 209.08s

but I think it does give Georgia ORG fans some peace of mind. We might talk about how maybe in the third segment, our perceived longevity of Kirby Smart PERSON, how long we think we might plan to see him around in Athens GPE. But for now, just know he's the highest paid coach in all of college football. He's making $13 million a year, which is nearly a $2 million raise, Clint PERSON,from a previous iteration of the salary. And again, you said it worth every penny.

Speaker 4209.72s - 211.72s

There's not a single check

Speaker 3211.72s - 214.24s

that has been cut for Kirby Smart

Speaker 4214.24s - 216s

that you think to yourself, you know what?

Speaker 3216.84s - 218.16s

Maybe overspent on that one.

Speaker 4218.4s - 224.32s

Maybe we could have allocated funds somewhere else and it probably would have served us better. No. No. No.

Speaker 3225.06s - 226.16s

Not at all.

Speaker 4226.32s - 230.86s

And we're going to talk to you about all the reasons why on today's episode.

Speaker 3230.86s - 282.66s

But big picture news is in a day and age where coaching college football is not exactly the most attractive girl at the dance, so to speak. You're seeing a lot of people leave college football, mostly because they've been caught cheating and go coach the San Diego Chargers ORG. And so you realize that at some point, and it already has happened, I'm sure,Kirby's going to continue to receive suitors from the NFL ORG. He's going to continue to receive other offers to go and make use of his time elsewhere. But not only is he provided with every opportunity for winning at the University of Georgia ORG, his alma mater, an institution that he loves, not only does he get to live in Athens, Georgia ORG,

Speaker 0283.12s - 284.52s

a place that he loves.

Speaker 3286.66s - 500.52s

But he's also being paid handsomely for it. And I cannot imagine a scenario, Clint, where Kirby Smart PERSON does not keep getting raises, making him constantly the highest paid coach in all of college football. And again, worth it. So let's get into why it's so worth it, um, for Georgia to pay Kirby Smart PERSON all this money. And let's,let's not even start with the football related stuff. Okay. Maybe we'll get to that in segment two. Um, Kirby Smart PERSON makes the, you understand how business works, right?I do. You pay people at your organization who are then going to make your organization even more money than you pay him. Take the hosts of the Locked on Bulldogs podcast, for example. You and I. Generating revenue in excess of the amount which we are receiving for said employment opportunity. That's how employment works. Kirby Smart generates more money for the University of Georgia ORG through college football playoff appearances, Clint PERSON, through media revenue deals because of the overall quality of the product and the demand, look at TV ratings for college football games over the last 10 years.Look at Georgia ORG games and the biggest games that Georgia plays and see how they compare to other college football games. And you will quickly see that Kirby Smart PERSON has turned Georgia into a must-consume commodity, general public at large. And there will be a time, it's already happened with rivals, but there will be a time across college football at large, and it's probably already happening, where Georgia ORG becomes a villain. That's inevitable with a team like Georgia ORG and a coach like Kirby Smart and a dynasty, like the one that Georgia ORG's building. They will eventually become a villain, But you know what happens with villains? People, they tune in in hopes that they see the program lose. It still generates the eyeballs. It still generates a profitable product on the field. Kirby Smart PERSON makes this university hand over fist more money than he is being paid. And so if you think for one second, well, these people are educators aren't being paid $13 million.Firefighters aren't being paid $13 million. No denying that educators and firefighters have a more important job in the grand scheme of civilization than Kirby Smart PERSON does. And it's not particularly close. But that's not how they make decisions about who gets paid what. And I don't want to be the one to tell you this. But the reason WMBA athletes don't get paid as much as NBA ORG athletes is not because of any other reason other than they don't generate as much money as NBA ORG athletes. Therefore, there's not enough money with which to pay them. Kirby Smart PERSON is underpaid by a lot.

Speaker 4500.64s - 505.5s

The SEC ORG gathered $452 million

Speaker 3505.5s - 507.92s

since college football

Speaker 4507.92s - 508.94s

was instituted.

Speaker 3509.38s - 511.24s

Okay, just there's that.

Speaker 4513.72s - 545.7s

Annually, let's just kind of break it down. Just simplified to a team in the SEC will make as much 23 million annually. From college football, it's $3 to $5 million for participation in the playoff and distributing all of that money from the SEC as well as the balls, all that good stuff. That means that if Georgia ORG goes to the playoff, from SEC ORG, from advancing $5 million a year each time, so the two runs that Kirby won national championship,

Speaker 3546.16s - 551.28s

that's $10 million right there in those games alone, Daniel PERSON,

Speaker 4551.42s - 553.08s

in those four games.

Speaker 3553.56s - 555.88s

How about the fact that in the new playoff format,

Speaker 4556.08s - 557.62s

there's a potential,

Speaker 3557.76s - 559.14s

there's a home game involved.

Speaker 4559.14s - 561.52s

The home game in Sanford Stadium FAC.

Speaker 3562.08s - 564.12s

Athletic Department ORG making any money on that?

Speaker 4564.62s - 569.42s

In four games, Kirby earned one year of salary.

Speaker 3570.02s - 570.7s

Four games.

Speaker 4571.12s - 571.68s

Four games.

Speaker 3572.06s - 572.86s

Whole entire year.

Speaker 4572.92s - 573.72s

Taking care. Okay?

Speaker 3574.44s - 578.42s

Not to include everything else that's happening and not to include all the other money

Speaker 4578.42s - 602.22s

of the SEC ORG is getting from this. Kirby Smart is absolutely underpaid for the product that he puts out on the field for the amount of national exposure, for the amount of sales that Georgia generates from draft day and from guys in the league and that Power G already had cloud, but now there's more cloud because there's more players drafted by Kirby Smart than any other coach in the first seven, eight years in the history of college football.

Speaker 3602.22s - 605.34s

And it's only getting better and more.

Speaker 0606.06s - 609.32s

Oh, but he's passed his prime over the hill and probably about to,

Speaker 3609.9s - 611.08s

oh, no, that was another coach.

Speaker 4611.08s - 615.3s

That was another coach, that was a different coach. This is Kirby Smart PERSON. He's just getting started.

Speaker 3615.66s - 617.54s

He's just getting started.

Speaker 4617.6s - 647.16s

We're going to come back after this, give you more reasons that Kirby Smart is worth every single penny of that contract he just got. But after this. This is in fact LinkedIn ORG. And LinkedIn ORG's fantastic. Daniel PERSON and I love them. When you're hiring for small businesses, you want to find qualified professionals, right role. That's why you have to check out LinkedIn ORG jobs. LinkedIn ORG jobs are the tools to help find the right professionals your team, faster and for free. It's not just job board. It helps you hire professionals. You can't find anywhere else, even those who aren't actively searching for a new job, but might be open for the perfect

Speaker 0647.16s - 651.58s

role. In a given month, over 70% of LinkedIn ORG users don't visit other leading job sites.

Speaker 4651.58s - 674.52s

So if you're not looking at LinkedIn, you're looking in the wrong place. LinkedIn, 86% of small businesses get a qualified candidate within 24 hours. LinkedIn ORG knows that small businesses are wearing many hats and might not have time to resource and hire 2.5 million small businesses use LinkedIn ORG for hiring. Postage.com LinkedIn.com slash locked on calls. That's LinkedIn.com slash lockdown calls.Postage. Jobfree terms and conditions apply. Life is a highway.

Speaker 1675.02s - 685.46s

And on it there will be many chicken sandwiches. But there's only one McChrisby PRODUCT. So go ahead and hit the turn signal if you know about this juicy gem of a detour.

Speaker 0690.38s - 695.84s

You said that the money that is coming into Athens GPE and into the athletic department,

Speaker 4695.84s - 702.32s

which, by the way, we're talking the allocation into the athletic department, which is a whole department in and of itself.

Speaker 3702.96s - 717.16s

So that means tennis and golf and gymnastics and baseball and basketball and everything else and the trainers that get in there and the weight and the track and field and the students that are in kinesiology.

Speaker 4717.4s - 722.02s

All of that is buoyed up. Yep. Okay. Across the board.

Speaker 0722.32s - 722.58s

That's right.

Speaker 4722.58s - 734.9s

The SEC gets in Georgia ORG is part of that. And Kirby Smart PERSON is for that. But I'm going to go to the second reason that Kirby Smart is worth every single penny of his new contract.

Speaker 0736.04s - 740.14s

And you mentioned, look, educators, firefighters, more important.

Speaker 4740.62s - 762.12s

But when you're the best at what you do, okay? You continue to do that with results that are the best for your position. And that is winning football games. Y'all, I don't know how to express this in any more simplistic of terms.

Speaker 3763s - 767.88s

He wins more games than anybody else.

Speaker 4768.24s - 770.08s

He was the most important games.

Speaker 3770.08s - 788s

Okay. More than anybody else. We can talk. I could have said recruiting. I could have said, um, hiring good coaches. I could have said all of that. The end of the line is none of that takes place without winning. You got coaches that develop and send players on. You can have a coaching tree come out, whatever. I don't really care.

Speaker 4788.94s - 825.66s

How about the Georgia ORG football program is in good hands because it continues to win and the trajectory of not only money coming in to help the university and other students. Again, I didn't say just football players because that kinesiology student who's taping an ankle somewhere is going to go on and do a PT for somebody else, talk about occupational therapy, talk about physical therapy for kids down the road. They're getting the highest and best possible. That's happening because winning is taking place. Now, you may not like that. Well, this is all Georgia ORG football fans, so we all like that. We're fine with that. Other people might not like that.

Speaker 3825.66s - 827.08s

I understand.

Speaker 4827.58s - 835.84s

But that's literally how the world runs. You are good at something. You get benefited for being good at that thing.

Speaker 3836.3s - 935.6s

It's almost as if Georgia's lost two games in three years. Wow. And that's not very many. Let me just say, let me just extrapolate on that point a bit more because you said Kirby Smart PERSON does the most important thingbetter than anyone else. He wins. What, what's the thing? Let's just take a hypothetical person saying Kirby Smart PERSON's making too much money. Okay, sure. Okay.A, let me put it in perspective for you. Clemson is paying Dabo Swinney PERSON. Yep. $11 million a year right now. Today. Okay.Clemson is paying that man that sum in order to coach that product that we've been watching on the field these last couple. So it's not great. That's a little perspective for you. What would be the argument that he's that he's making too much money? Let me just ask you, where would you point what does say it another way what does Kirby smart not do well at his job Clint PERSON II because I used to hear a lot of people, Clint PERSON, who would say, well, he, he's not a great in-game coach. You know, he flubs those timeouts. That's done.

Speaker 4935.96s - 936.32s

Next.

Speaker 3936.54s - 985.58s

Yeah, we're not talking. No one's, no one's really mentioning that anymore. I used to hear people say, well,he struggles to win the big game. No, Clint PERSON. Well, he won the big game. He did it twice. Two different times. He did it, the biggest of the games. I'm not hearing that argument so much anymore. I've heard people say over the years he doesn't develop talent. He just won't. He doesn't develop the talent. That's not what anybody's saying. No one's talking about the recruiting prowess because he's the best recruiter in college football. Literally. Also develops that talent at a rate that exceeds anyone else, what anyone else is even coming close to doing.

Speaker 4985.58s - 999.82s

Look at the three-star draft rate. I had to get on YouTube to some, if you're here, but pop off. If you're still here, dude in the comments, pop off on this. Please, because you said, well, well, if Kirby went to other universities,

Speaker 5999.82s - 1002.96s

he wouldn't have 40 of those players being drafted.

Speaker 41003.7s - 1011s

Okay, and just let's let's hit it with facts. Again, four to five percent of three star players get drafted nationally. Uh-huh.

Speaker 31011.5s - 1016.4s

Over 30 percent of three stars under Kirby Smart PERSON get drafted.

Speaker 41016.82s - 1017.12s

What?

Speaker 31017.76s - 1018.92s

Is that higher or lower?

Speaker 41019.48s - 1029.8s

That's all I need to say to show that you popping off is you being a 13- old child who I stopped talking to because I realize you're 13 and I can't do that.

Speaker 31029.8s - 1030.92s

We can't do that.

Speaker 41031.54s - 1033.88s

There's nothing he doesn't do well, Clint PERSON.

Speaker 31033.98s - 1063.04s

That's the main gist of it. Not to mention we talked about money being generated for the university, but what about the winning? What is the winning done for the NIL ORG, the recruiting, the collective, the classic city collective for the overall advancement of the, like he leads and CEOs a program better than anyone currently in the game?

Speaker 41063.46s - 1086.74s

Now, you can all, you can go back and you can point out times at which other players did free clinics and invited the city in and did Michael Williams PERSON or somebody else is doing a football clinic and we're all like, okay, yes, that's what they should be doing. Well, no, you don't understand. They weren't able to do so in the past because they were trying to scrape by behind closed doors because it wasn't

Speaker 01086.74s - 1100s

out in the open. And they couldn't go to now in IL GPE. These kids are having the opportunity to bless the community in higher capacity because they're being taken care of because Kirby Smart PERSON is getting

Speaker 41100s - 1111.38s

buy in from people to take care of the players so they can do a camp all day with kids in Georgia ORG. This again, you might not like how that works in the world.

Speaker 31111.94s - 1115.38s

Well, we're ruining college football by paying these kids.

Speaker 41115.52s - 1116.4s

We're ruining it.

Speaker 51117.02s - 1119.56s

I've seen, I've seen seven day camps.

Speaker 41119.9s - 1122.08s

I think the last two weeks alone from Georgia ORG players.

Speaker 31122.08s - 1124.9s

Tell that to the kids that are going to Michael Williams PERSON camp.

Speaker 41124.9s - 1125.14s

Tell them that college football is ruined and that these kids, I think the last two weeks alone from Georgia. Tell that to the kids that are going to Michael Williams PERSON camp.

Speaker 31131.26s - 1140.12s

Tell them that college football is ruined and that these kids don't love the, they don't want, they're not playing for the love of the game anymore, Clint PERSON. That's the problem with them is they just don't love that. They don't bleed red and black.

Speaker 41140.4s - 1150.08s

Do you know, do you know the people who say money doesn't matter and you shouldn't play? People who never had money problems as children in their family. You're privileged.

Speaker 31150.56s - 1153.28s

I don't use that word a lot in my life.

Speaker 41153.82s - 1155.8s

But I will use it right now.

Speaker 31156.72s - 1156.92s

Yeah.

Speaker 41157.44s - 1159.52s

Kirby Smart PERSON just does everything well.

Speaker 31160.08s - 1163.88s

And that's probably why he gets paid well.

Speaker 41163.88s - 1165.54s

Again, back to Clint PERSON's point.

Speaker 31165.74s - 1172.24s

We're going to talk in segment three about how long we think Kirby might ride out on this contract.

Speaker 41172.36s - 1177.74s

This is the conversation that depending on who you are, you might need a bucket for.

Speaker 31178.32s - 1180.86s

But we'll come back and talk about it right after this.

Speaker 41183.52s - 1185.18s

This is in fact, Monopoly Go PRODUCT. All right, game off. We've got to pause here to talk about in fact Monopoly Go.

Speaker 31185.36s - 1186.9s

All right, game off.

Speaker 41187s - 1230.62s

We got to pause here to talk about more about Monopoly Go PRODUCT. I know what you're just saying. Flag on the play. You already talked about that. But there's just so much good stuff about this game. Daniel Monopoly Go PERSON, you can team up with your friends for time tournaments, whether you work together to build each other's boards. The more you win together, the more awesome prizes you unlock. And there's so much more to get unique stickers. And there's always new timed events that help you win big, like massive multiplies for everything you win or rent frenzies there's always something fun as government monopoly go so get off the bench go download now google play or apple store

Speaker 11230.62s - 1238.82s

game on life is a highway and on it there will be many chicken sandwiches but there's only one

Speaker 41238.82s - 1245.5s

met crispy so go ahead and hit the turn signal if you know about this juicy gem of a detour.

Speaker 11250.14s - 1250.98s

The bucket.

Speaker 41251.58s - 1256.86s

Congratulations, by the way, to Kansas City Chiefs running back, Isaiah Pacheco PERSON,

Speaker 11256.86s - 1261.76s

for getting a robot Pacheco machine in that game.

Speaker 01262.38s - 1271.1s

It, I don't know if it's an NIL opportunity, but it seems like he needs to call, his people need to call their people.

Speaker 31271.1s - 1273.54s

He ought to be profiting off of that.

Speaker 01274.92s - 1277.06s

Listen, it's the big conversation.

Speaker 11277.28s - 1280.72s

When you're sitting on top of the mountain.

Speaker 01281.42s - 1281.54s

Yeah.

Speaker 51282.06s - 1285.36s

Alabama fans will attest to this because they've been living this life.

Speaker 31285.6s - 1288.96s

They're not anymore as of several years ago.

Speaker 41289.24s - 1289.94s

Had lived.

Speaker 31290.2s - 1293.82s

As of several years ago, the mountain no longer belonged to them.

Speaker 41293.82s - 1299.08s

But they remember, they probably are, they're probably old enough to remember when

Speaker 31299.08s - 1301.5s

Alabama used to be the team to beat in college football.

Speaker 41302.34s - 1307.6s

And so they'll be able to attest that when you're living high on the hog, as they say,

Speaker 31307.8s - 1314.46s

when you're living the good life, when you're living in the glory days, which by the way, if you're a Georgia fan, these are the glory days.

Speaker 41314.46s - 1320.7s

These are the good old days. You normally don't get to look at that. It's only in retrospective understanding.

Speaker 31320.88s - 1322.24s

It's as clear as day.

Speaker 41322.62s - 1323.94s

It's as clear as day.

Speaker 31324.06s - 1326.18s

We're sitting right in it right now.

Speaker 41326.58s - 1334.7s

The only real thing that you have to concern yourself with is how long can we keep this going?

Speaker 31334.82s - 1373.42s

And I think you know and I know and everybody knows that the number one factor towards how long we can keep this thing going is how long we can keep the head man the head man because as Alabama fans will no they won't because they're delusional but what they soon will attest to I promise you give them nine months and they will attest to this that you can't just trot in some guy and expect things to just keep rolling because they ain't going to keep rolling.Nothing good comes.

Speaker 41373.42s - 1376.24s

Recruits are going to keep rolling over to Oregon ORG.

Speaker 31377.44s - 1380.3s

Recruits are going to keep leaving your program

Speaker 41380.3s - 1382.82s

and running to Dan Lannning at Oregon ORG,

Speaker 31383s - 1385.48s

who you didn't even consider hiring, by the way.

Speaker 41385.48s - 1390.44s

Hey, hey, we didn't call him. He never turned us down. Never.

Speaker 31390.96s - 1399.22s

You didn't want him. And now Peyton Woodyard PERSON's like, I want him. No, I wanted him. I wish you would have hired him because I.

Speaker 41400.5s - 1405.78s

If you had hired him, specifically ask you to hire him. I would have stayed here. I would have been right here.

Speaker 31405.98s - 1407.9s

I would have been here and it would have been fun,

Speaker 41408s - 1408.8s

but you didn't.

Speaker 31408.8s - 1412.26s

And so you got some Washington ORG offensive linemen

Speaker 41412.26s - 1413.3s

to come over.

Speaker 31414.5s - 1414.82s

Sioux Falls GPE.

Speaker 41415.5s - 1416.18s

Not great.

Speaker 31416.8s - 1417.02s

Okay.

Speaker 41417.6s - 1420.9s

How long can Kirby Smart PERSON stay in college football?

Speaker 31421.06s - 1422.4s

It's a stressful job, Clint PERSON.

Speaker 41422.54s - 1424.34s

It's a 24-7 job.

Speaker 31424.68s - 1428s

It's not a job you would want.

Speaker 41428.24s - 1432.56s

Let's just be totally honest with it. I'm telling you right now. The long jump,

Speaker 31432.56s - 1447.4s

the shelf life of every college football head coach has slimmed down. There is no excess. There's no margin anymore. You have a window of time to be a college football with everything as it is today, standing today. Yeah.

Speaker 41447.4s - 1448.3s

And that's the key.

Speaker 31448.3s - 1463.64s

It's no longer the 20 year run at Iowa. That's the key because I think if you're a Georgia fan, you need to be on your knees praying that there is some legislation from whoever powers that be, and it ain't the NCAA ORG.

Speaker 41464.36s - 1478s

No, they're useless. Whatever powers that be, whether it ain't the NCAA ORG, whatever powers that be, whether it's Greg Sanky or a conglomerate of power conference commissioners, you know, get the Big Ten involved, get the Big 12 ORG involved, whatever,

Speaker 01478.72s - 1483.6s

there needs to be some rules and regulations put in place

Speaker 31483.6s - 1551.26s

in order to lighten the load on these college football coaches. And if you're a Georgia ORG fan, you need that like you need water to drink and air to breathe because it's not sustainable in the long term. And I don't care how many million dollars a year you're making. At some point, you're going to say, I don't need this anymore. I'm literally dying. So that step one is there's got to be some things put in place, whether it's around NIL ORG, whether it's around the transferportal, whether it's around, you know, on season, off season schedule, whether it's some tampering restrictions, whatever it is, like there's got to be some things put into place in order to lessen the burden on these coaches. And then if that happens, Clint, I think Georgia could be in it for the long haul with Kirby Smart PERSON. I think he loves coaching football enough that he wouldn't want to go to the NFL ORG.

Speaker 01551.5s - 1552.22s

Do you hear what I'm saying?

Speaker 41552.36s - 1555.56s

No, he's not going to the NFL ORG. He likes football. Yes.

Speaker 31555.86s - 1559.64s

That's why he wouldn't go to the NFL ORG. It's why he's not in the NFL ORG right now.

Speaker 41559.72s - 1595.74s

That's why I don't watch the NFL ORG because I like football. Because I like football. NFL ORG's unwatchable. Here are the three things. If I was to pinpoint three, very small, very easy things that college football can do, whatever conference can do. One, windows of communication and hard and set one time or two times maximum. And it's clear and it's evident. Transfer portal communication with kids when you can and can't dead periods that are actually dead periods actually dead periods

Speaker 51595.74s - 1605.2s

not you can get in trouble for it then everybody does it but i'm talking. But like dead.

Speaker 31605.48s - 1605.64s

Dead.

Speaker 01606.36s - 1606.66s

No communication.

Speaker 31607.06s - 1607.32s

That's one.

Speaker 41607.82s - 1610.24s

A calendar. A simple calendar. Get on Google ORG.

Speaker 31610.72s - 1613.82s

Google ORG. You can share them with each other. Everybody can know.

Speaker 01613.96s - 1614.7s

It's very simple.

Speaker 31614.76s - 1615.36s

The second thing,

Speaker 01616s - 1635.32s

NIL and how collectives integrate into the system of college athletics and regulations around that need to come. I don't care what they look like. Just make it clear, make it known, make it transparent. So we're all playing by the same rules. Yeah. Go. That's the second thing. Last thing.

Speaker 41637.22s - 1640.66s

Stop adding games. Stop.

Speaker 31641.32s - 1643s

But money, Clint PERSON.

Speaker 41643.44s - 1647.16s

But money, Clint PERSON. Stop adding games. But money. These. But money, Clint PERSON. Stop adding games.

Speaker 31647.28s - 1647.66s

But money.

Speaker 41648.52s - 1660.84s

These are the three very simple rules that would keep Kirby 33 and beyond. Like, he's going to, he's not leaving Georgia ORG until he's done coaching football. Those would keep him bass 33.

Speaker 31662.84s - 1666.08s

I think as we sit right now,

Speaker 41668.22s - 1671.44s

give me a percentage chance that Kirby Smart PERSON finishes this contract.

Speaker 31672.04s - 1673.88s

As I stand today right now.

Speaker 41673.88s - 1676.76s

I mean, you can extrapolate

Speaker 31676.76s - 1685.3s

with as much expectancy as you have that things will change, that need to change. You don't have to mandate that the situation,

Speaker 41685.54s - 1686.9s

the landscape will stay the same,

Speaker 31687.06s - 1689.26s

but you're projecting all of this.

Speaker 41689.78s - 1709.96s

Will Kirby Smart finish out his contract till 2033 or beyond? I'm giving it a 10% shot that he finishes out as of right now. Things standing are as they are right now today, 10% shot that we make it to 30 or 2034. And he's still coach at UGA ORG.

Speaker 31710.62s - 1714.66s

Well, we're dead inside. Yeah. So. Well, I know that.

Speaker 41714.98s - 1723.06s

Good night, everybody. Yeah. No, I know that. Thus ends the podcast. What do you put at that? I say right now,

Speaker 31723.68s - 1769.4s

you know, it's not as far as you think it is. You know, it's like it feels like, that feels like, it's close to a decade. We're talking about, you know, the year 3000 or something, but we're, we're nine years away. I'm going to go, I'm going to go, I'm going to go. Numenium.I'm going to go 60, 40, 40% that he finishes out the contract and beyond 60% that he doesn't. I do think it's more likely than not that Kirby walks away. But I also think that sustainability of college football depends on a lot of these. It's not just Kirby Smart PERSON. All the coaches.

Speaker 41769.4s - 1774.84s

Sustainability of college football depends on a lot of these things being put into place.

Speaker 31774.9s - 1790.34s

So I think you will see some of these things. I think the question is, you know, the fire burns hot for Kirby Smart PERSON. So how long is it going to go? Like that's, that's to me is the bigger question.

Speaker 41790.94s - 1829.82s

When guys like Lincoln PERSON, right, Lincoln PERSON, I don't ever want coaching with you. When he gets poached by an NFL team to come be their offensive genius in two years time, okay, college football is going to have a problem when that starts happening more and more because the college coach is like, screw it. I can just go be a photogenic master planner, play caller. I don't got to deal with all this crap. That's the Wild West LOC. Great.Sign me up just to be X's and O's. And when that starts happening, college football is going to realize, oh, no, we're running off top tier talent. And now we have no one to actually develop. Things like that is going to realize oh no we're running off top tier talent and now we have no one to actually develop things like that are going to I think you're

Speaker 31829.82s - 1860.4s

going to see some changes I would be tentatively optimistic that Kirby smart is here for the next 10 years but I don't know that you can expect 20 25 years like this big run like we've seen before out of a Nick Saban. I'm just not sure it's realistic to expect that kind of thing. We will see. He is Clint PERSON. I'm Daniel PERSON.This has been the Longtown Bulldogs ORG podcast. And we will be back tomorrow with more on the Georgia ORG football team. And we'll talk to you guys then. See you.

Speaker 61860.7s - 1888.46s

The South Dakota Stories, Volume 5. South Dakota GPE seemed like the perfect place to unplug. But I ended up connecting to the world around me. A world where each sunset was painted, where I felt adventures pulse with every step, and where cold water trickling, pine swaying and grunting bison became my favorite soundtracks. I just wish I didn't have to leave. There's so much, South Dakota GPE. So little time.
