Speaker 30s - 30.04s

Hey, I'm Kyle PERSON. Thanks for joining me and Andy PERSON for the legendary creature podcast. So if you're listening with your kids or your conservative grandma, maybe don't. Because we swear.

Speaker 234.5s - 39.68s

My anal canal is as relaxed as it can be for somebody like me. And I'm ready to record if you are. I am ready.

Speaker 340.5s - 40.74s

Let's do this.

Speaker 241.32s - 42.24s

Other 99.

Speaker 345.32s - 45.82s

For Outlaws of Thunder Junction.

Speaker 247.34s - 50.8s

As brought to you in part by Kyle and Andy PERSON's Patreon patrons.

Speaker 351.08s - 52.1s

That is right.

Speaker 252.1s - 55.76s

Legendary creature Patreon ORG patrons. The best. The best in the west.

Speaker 356.06s - 57.58s

The best. Our Huckleberries.

Speaker 259.7s - 63.88s

So, if you haven't listened to our legendary creatures review,

Speaker 464.18s - 65.48s

we've done that in two parts.

Speaker 265.58s - 66.12s

Those are out.

Speaker 366.18s - 90.74s

That content's out. Now that everybody's had a minute to sit with the set, uh, we do a similar thing where we solicit our patrons to go in, pick out cards that are not commanders and tell us why we should pay attention to them. Yeah.Uh, whether it's just a pet card for them or something that the community should be watching. Right. So let's get into it.

Speaker 291.7s - 94.06s

Get your cart ready.

Speaker 394.24s - 96.68s

Get your wagon ready.

Speaker 297.06s - 100.54s

I meant like your shopping cart because I usually spend money with these episodes.

Speaker 3100.54s - 101.32s

Well, yeah, put these.

Speaker 2101.32s - 103.8s

Legends are legends, but 99 cards are like, uh?

Speaker 3104.08s - 105.8s

Yeah, absolutely, right?

Speaker 2106.96s - 107.62s

Uh, okay.

Speaker 3108.08s - 117.24s

Uh, so we're going to start this off with Jeff PERSON, uh, who is telling us about angelic cell sword. Angelic cell sword.

Speaker 2117.24s - 118.86s

That's funny. It's the very first card.

Speaker 3119.56s - 120.26s

The first card, indeed.

Speaker 2120.26s - 121.9s

Sort by alphabet and color.

Speaker 3122.2s - 126.96s

Angelic cell sword is four and a white for a 4-4-angel mercenary.

Speaker 2127.5s - 154.42s

It's got flying, it's got vigilance. Whenever angel cell sword or another non-token creature enters the battlefield under your control, create a 1-1-red mercenary creature token with a tap, target creature, U-control gets plus 1 plus O until end of turn. Activate only as a sorcery. And then whenever the angelic cell sword attacks, if its power is six or greater draw a card. It's kind of like the Silvala PRODUCT a little bit.

Speaker 3154.52s - 156.12s

Oh, yeah. Yeah. I like that.

Speaker 2156.62s - 156.78s

Yeah.

Speaker 3156.78s - 159.48s

Okay. So let's see what Jeff PERSON has to say.

Speaker 2159.64s - 160.8s

So answering the question,

Speaker 3160.98s - 162.8s

do you see this card getting broad adoption?

Speaker 2163.7s - 211.04s

Jeff PERSON said, no, but it should. It's pretty good, isn't it? And then when asked, why do you like this card and why should we be paying attention to it, Jeff went on to say, a Sarah Angel PRODUCT that brings with it a very decent little one-one can also help a creature go tall if wide isn't working and gives you one out each time it and another creature you control ETBs. Solid and token decks, Angel Kindra decks, and Flickr PRODUCT decks. I honestlyconsider the card draw effect just a little bit of extra gravy on top that you can occasionally get access to. I think this is just fine. Just fine. I do. Like, whenever you can get two of a thing for one.Yeah,

Speaker 3211.14s - 211.5s

it's true.

Speaker 2211.5s - 211.96s

It's,

Speaker 3211.96s - 228.34s

it's pretty good, in my opinion, when you can do that. Yeah, I'm interested in seeing people use those mercenary tokensbecause they seem to have, that's a pretty fun little trick that they have available to them, right? Yeah, I'm pretty into this, pretty into it.

Speaker 2228.54s - 228.74s

Okay.

Speaker 3228.86s - 229.56s

All right, what's the next one?

Speaker 2230s - 233.56s

Next up, we have Jeff PERSON given us another white card.

Speaker 3233.56s - 234.24s

Oh, Jeff PERSON.

Speaker 2234.44s - 236.14s

And this is collector's cage.

Speaker 3236.64s - 237.8s

Collectors cage.

Speaker 2238.36s - 239.8s

Oh, this is from the,

Speaker 3240.52s - 242.36s

from the big score.

Speaker 2242.6s - 279.28s

Yeah. Not the card. They didn't do a big score and the big score. Yeah. Not the card. They didn't do a big score in the big score. But it's basically DLC. Yeah. But shittier than last time they did DLC.In how they're doing it. Anyway, I'll go. Collectors cage. One in a white for an artifact. It has hideaway five. When this artifact enters the battlefield, look at up to five cards from your library. Exile one of them face down and put the rest on the bottom in a random order. Then you can pay one tap, put a plus one plus one counter on target creature you control. Then if you control three or more creatures with different powers, you may play the exile card without paying its mana cost.

Speaker 3280.82s - 345.6s

Okay. Interesting. Let's see what Jeff PERSON has to say about this one. Here again, he suggests that it will not have broad adoption, but it should. And when asked why we should be paying attention to this card, he said, what I feel will be overlooked artifact in a group of absolute bangers from the big score. I love the versatility of this card.Any creature-based deck I feel will likely just fall into the hideaway requirement accidentally, not even counting on how the ability to add the plus one plus one counter will smooth this out with no problem, while also synergizing with counters decks and Voltron PRODUCT decks. In white, an artifact like this is also begging to be flickered to repeatedly hideaway spells to cast. However, my favorite part about this card is that the wording of the activated abilityallows the hideaway spell to be cast at instant speed, regardless of card type. Don't sleep on this card. I do like that. Hideaway 5 feels just right, getting to look at 5. Like, that's a pretty good healthy grip to look at.

Speaker 2345.72s - 347.08s

That's a healthy selection, yeah.

Speaker 3347.22s - 348.44s

And I think he's right.

Speaker 2348.84s - 350.12s

Best of the next five.

Speaker 3350.52s - 358.16s

Yeah, that activation to achieve doesn't feel too hard. What's the next one?

Speaker 1358.64s - 364.82s

Next up we have O-Tech Matter Weaver, and this is coming to us from Brad PERSON.

Speaker 2365.16s - 367.76s

This is a white card still?

Speaker 3368.5s - 383.04s

Oltek ORG, sorry. Am I wrong about this? It should be white. Also from the big score, it should be. I've got it up, I guess.

Speaker 0383.04s - 384.46s

Yeah, I do it. I'm not finding it.

Speaker 1384.46s - 406.3s

On your list. So, old tech matter weavers, two and a white for a human artificer, two four on the power and toughness. Whenever you cast a creature spell, choose one. Create a one-one colorless gnome artifact creature token. Or create a token that's a copy of target artifact token who control. Pretty wild. Man, the art's wild on this one. Yeah, that's a copy of target artifact token you control. Pretty wild.

Speaker 3406.38s - 406.62s

Man,

Speaker 2406.68s - 408.34s

the art's wild on this one. Yeah,

Speaker 3408.4s - 409.92s

that's pretty fucking cool.

Speaker 2410.06s - 413.72s

Let's get this form pulled up and take a look at what...

Speaker 3413.72s - 414.92s

This is kind of like the angel,

Speaker 2415.46s - 416.58s

but you get a gnome instead.

Speaker 3416.88s - 417.36s

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2417.54s - 418.6s

Yeah, extra body.

Speaker 3418.6s - 498.02s

It's a good white, Karen PERSON, about the casting of creature's spell. Brad PERSON is not expecting this to get broad adoption. However, why we should be paying attention. He goes on to say, this card is an amazing addition to any deck where you are making token artifacts like Brennard Ginger Sculpter. Being able to both further the game plan of casting creatures and making copies of the food golems that have been brought to the table.Even better if it dies, you can make copies of itself food golems that have been brought to the table. Even better if it dies, you can make copies of itself and start up some crazy activities. I'm going to change the wording here. Really? With creating clones of itselfalso allows you to make copies of a Brennard Golem if you are breaking the legendary rule. It also has a butt, so the 2-4 on the power and toughness is pretty, and that's pretty good stats. Out of fire from something like bolt and can also block, if need be.If your game plan involves creatures and artifacts or both combined and is what, uh, and is in white, this card feels like it will push some limits. The only con is if you go apis shit with the card in your playgroup. I have a feeling it will be a kill-on-site creature.I don't know.

Speaker 2500.82s - 520.6s

It seems like an okay card. Yeah. I don't, I don't know. Depends on what's going on with the deck like with this trigger it's just therebecause I'm thinking like well the creature my most creature creature dense deck that I have is uhGilwayne oh sure

Speaker 1520.6s - 523.76s

so I'd just be casting a creature and I guess I get a

Speaker 2523.76s - 527.72s

I get the the servo or whatever I guess I get a, I get the, the servo or whatever.

Speaker 3528s - 537.38s

Yeah, the gnome. Noam, right? I get the gnome and then I get the, uh, you'd get the, um, the roll, the roll attached to that creature.

Speaker 2537.52s - 539.14s

So I'm getting quite quite a lot.

Speaker 3539.26s - 539.5s

Yeah.

Speaker 2539.88s - 550.86s

But I think what you'll be trying to kill is like the beast whisper that's replacing my draw before this thing. Yeah. Like those type of effects is like, yeah, that's got to go. Or Jihira PERSON. Yeah.

Speaker 3551.44s - 551.92s

Yeah.

Speaker 2552.24s - 553.28s

Yeah, I can see that.

Speaker 3553.78s - 556.28s

I do think that is a nice solid output.

Speaker 2556.98s - 559.2s

But what they described in that review,

Speaker 3560.56s - 575.9s

when this thing really pops off, I think you kind of have to have a little bit of stars aligning to get the right things. I think in the context of that Brennard PERSON example, yeah, that's just kind of like some bullshit that Brennard PERSON can get up to.

Speaker 4576.12s - 576.8s

Right?

Speaker 3577.06s - 586.98s

It's pretty dope though. Pretty cool. Pretty into it. Pretty cool. Pretty into it. All right.Next up we have North Dakota GPE, who is coming at us with requisition raid.

Speaker 2587.7s - 593.98s

Requisition raid. It's, okay, so this is like the first spree. Okay.

Speaker 3594.12s - 597.9s

So it costs white to get it going.

Speaker 2598.32s - 619.62s

I don't know how it's to say that. It's cost white spree. Choose one or more additional cost. So you can do plus one to, so it would be white plus one to destroy target artifact. White plus one to destroy target enchantment.White plus one to put a plus one plus one counter on each creature target player controls. Or you could just go white plus one, two, three. So four total to do all of those things.

Speaker 3619.62s - 622.68s

All three modes. Yeah. I like the spree cards.

Speaker 2622.84s - 625.76s

Yeah. I think they're pretty well. Do pretty cool.

Speaker 3627.3s - 654.84s

Okay, so what is North Dakota GPE saying about this card? Do you see broad adoption? Absolutely. And why do you like this card? Why should we be paying attention? Do you run wear and tear in all your commander decks that can?Would you want to run it in a non-red white deck if you could? Do you care about plus one plus one counters? Do you go wide in any capacity? Uh, this card will fit neatly in every white deck you can think of because of all these reasons.

Speaker 2654.96s - 670.18s

It's like a lot of stuff. It should just be like, do you care? Do you care? Then requisition rate. It's all just boiled down. Do you care when you, when you, um,

Speaker 3670.2s - 687.56s

play magic? I want to see that like, Billy PERSON guy going out on the streets, just asking people, do you care? Who's,what are you talking about? That guy that just screams that was on later seasons of parks and wreck WORK_OF_ART. He's just a loud person. Was that the dude that he was,

Speaker 2688.28s - 692s

isn't he like a bunch of other comedies, that actor that played him?

Speaker 3692.76s - 698.52s

I think he's, yeah, but he, and he also kind of has this, like, I think it's called Billy PERSON on the streets or something like that.Okay.

Speaker 2698.58s - 707.88s

He just walks around with a microphone, like screaming at people, questions and shit. Okay. Pointing a microphone in their face. Got it.I just kind of, I can imagine him going around. Do you care?

Speaker 3708s - 708.32s

Okay.

Speaker 4708.52s - 709.28s

Do you care?

Speaker 3710.88s - 738s

I might be getting his name wrong too. I might be totally wrong about that. Multiple spells are powerful and being able to hit multiple targets with one spell even more so. On top of that, you also get to buff your team if you have one single mana to spare. This card is a house of utility option, and it should be heavily consideredin your next white deck. All right, on to the next one. What's up? We've got Rustler Rampage

Speaker 2738s - 741.98s

coming from Patrick Roberts PERSON. You're going to tell me when we're not doing white, right? Yes, I

Speaker 3741.98s - 743.46s

will tell you when we're not doing right.

Speaker 2743.54s - 745.02s

Rustler PRODUCT like with an R?

Speaker 3745.38s - 745.56s

Yeah.

Speaker 2746.44s - 746.5s

Rustler Rampage PRODUCT.

Speaker 3747.68s - 748.26s

It's another spree card.

Speaker 2750.36s - 761.82s

White and the spree is you can pay plus one untapped all creatures target player controls. That's pretty good. Shit. Or plus one target creaturegains double strike until end of turn.

Speaker 4761.98s - 765.2s

It's an instant by the way, I should say. Ooh. Yeah. Can get tricky with that, I should say. Ooh. Yeah.

Speaker 2765.46s - 767.16s

Can get tricky with that, right?

Speaker 3767.74s - 777.54s

That's fun. So do you see this card getting broad adoption? And Robert PERSON says, it's my precious. So probably only me and my alter ego are going to use it.

Speaker 1777.54s - 782.98s

That's still in there. That's still in there. I admire your dedication to it.

Speaker 3784.94s - 787.68s

Why do you like this card and why should we be paying attention to it?

Speaker 2788.06s - 789.72s

Great combat tricks card.

Speaker 3790s - 792.82s

You can target your own stuff or other people's stuff

Speaker 2792.82s - 797.82s

so it could lead to some very fun situations you probably didn't plan for.

Speaker 3797.82s - 823.96s

So fun. On the right board, you can also use it politically as mass removal with surprise blocks for you or someone else or as a ritual spell with a bunch of dorks. Or if you have an opponent, or if an opponent has a Voltron PRODUCT or big threat,or if you have tap, untap synergies going on and it's, then it's even better. Do you care? I love that shit.

Speaker 2824.46s - 825.26s

Do you care?

Speaker 3826.52s - 830.84s

This card could probably do something completely different every game you play it.

Speaker 2831.18s - 834.22s

If you can reliably use one of the modes, try it out.

Speaker 3834.52s - 838.78s

The other mode will probably be useful in a lot of situations that you didn't expect.

Speaker 2838.78s - 842s

It's a cool card that will probably not see much play.

Speaker 3842.82s - 843.76s

Pretty good.

Speaker 2846.62s - 846.88s

But, you know, I like,

Speaker 3848.24s - 848.34s

when you can untape all your stuff,

Speaker 2849.04s - 850.64s

all your creatures.

Speaker 3851.84s - 854.76s

That's valuable. Yeah, it's valuable. That is valuable.

Speaker 2855.98s - 856.04s

I don't think this thing can be broke,

Speaker 3856.78s - 858.52s

like the blue thing that untaps your non-land permanence,

Speaker 2858.62s - 866.66s

but still. All right, what's next? So, Sill PERSON is coming at us with, we ride at dawn. We Ride at Dawn. We Ride at Dawn.

Speaker 3867.08s - 867.88s

Yeah.

Speaker 2871.6s - 892.28s

We Ride at Dawn is two and white for an enchantment. Legendary creature spells you control have convoke. Oh. I'm into that. Whenever your commander attacks, create a 1-1-red mercenary creature token with tap.Target creature, you control gets plus 1 and plus O until end of turn activate only as a sorcery that's pretty cool pretty neat pretty pretty

Speaker 3892.28s - 903.64s

pretty neat all right uh so sil is saying that it's not expecting to get broad adoption but it should be uh why do you like this card why should we be paying attention to it convoke is an incredible mechanic

Speaker 4903.64s - 912.98s

it is one that i feel is underutilized in Commander PRODUCT. Cards like lethal scheme and clever concealment are absolute all-stars.

Speaker 0913.64s - 970.94s

Wanda of the World Soul is a stellar manor rock, and a philagy wavefinder turbocharges five-color strategies. I myself have been on a huge convote kick since I enjoy making tokens by shoving pile on and conclave tribunal in too many decks. But even in decks that don't make a ton of tokens will have utility creatures that aren't getting in. Why not use them to convoke some spells? This is where we write at dawn comes in. There are obvious homes for this card with token decks, but I feel like this can beused in decks that have high mana value commanders with white that don't have access to mana dorks and green ramp. So Orzov decks like Thales PERSON, your commander can come down a turn early with manna despair to start making tokens. And with the attack trigger that Thales PERSON make a mercenary in it and a spirit,if she dies, you've already got the tax covered.

Speaker 3971.74s - 1037.58s

Boros decks like Aurelia PERSON the war leader, where once you cast her and attack with haste, you can untape all the creatures that just convoked her out. And Azoress like Yorian PERSON the sky nomadcan flicker the creature you just use to convoke your commander for free. Retrigger ETBs and convoke something else out. Or use your hand to blink Yorri-on and turbocharge what you're doing. And with the oversaturation of legends and magic these days, I'm sure you'll be convoking out other creatures from your 99.I believe that every time there is a card that grants convokes to other spells that shouldn't have convoke, it should be treated in the same way. Rhythm of the Wild gives haste to creatures that shouldn't have that keyword. We ride at dawn is a powerful enchantment in the right environment and should not be overlooked because the attack trigger of making a silly mercenary feels underwhelming. The attack trigger is upside on a creature that allows you to cheat onmana for arguably the most important spell type in the format. Legendary creatures. Pretty sick, actually.

Speaker 01038.02s - 1042.42s

That's a... Pretty sick. Hmm. Hmm.

Speaker 21042.82s - 1043.64s

And he's like...

Speaker 01043.64s - 1044.18s

Hmm.

Speaker 21044.52s - 1060.42s

Hmm. Mm-hmm.'s like, Hmm. Hmm. Let me check what we've got for prices on this thing. It's like 69 cents. So. Buy it, dude.Buy four of them. Buy four of them. I'd love to do that. Okay. What's next? We're moving on to blue now. Hold on.

Speaker 31060.62s - 1068.7s

I've got white cards. Oh, Andy PERSON's got a white spell. I've got a few white. Give me. Some that are well known. That's what's, but I just want to cover it for. Yeah, make sure they're out there. Oh, Andy PERSON's got a white spell. I've got a few white. Some that are well known. That's what's, but I just want to cover it for.Yeah, make sure they're out there.

Speaker 21068.86s - 1073.44s

There's a pretty crazy board wipe. Final showdown. It's a white instant.

Speaker 31074.16s - 1078.04s

You can pay one. It's got the spree thing that we've been digging on.

Speaker 01078.4s - 1081.9s

Spree plus one. All creatures lose all abilities until end of turn.

Speaker 21084.1s - 1084.86s

Plus one.

Speaker 01085.88s - 1089.76s

I'm listening. A creature you control. It gains indestructible until end of turn. Plus one, choose a creature you control, it gains indestructible until end of turn. Oh yeah.

Speaker 21089.94s - 1093.46s

And then plus five, so three white white, destroy all creatures.

Speaker 11094.2s - 1095.66s

It's pretty fucking good.

Speaker 41096.5s - 1097.98s

You many times we've gotten like

Speaker 21097.98s - 1100.18s

it's a different card, of course, but

Speaker 41100.18s - 1102.74s

sudden spoiling.

Speaker 21103.26s - 1104.5s

Yes. That is hosed.

Speaker 31105.5s - 1108.68s

Dear listener, cast a sudden spoiling. Yes. That is hosed. Dear listener, cast a sudden spoiling.

Speaker 21109.3s - 1110.78s

Just, just do it.

Speaker 31111.58s - 1113.46s

It fucks people bad.

Speaker 21113.46s - 1113.7s

Yeah.

Speaker 31113.96s - 1116.92s

Turn it, turn it everything into zero twos without abilities.

Speaker 21117.04s - 1118.02s

Just stripping them down.

Speaker 31118.02s - 1120.26s

Just turning everything into one one frogs without abilities.

Speaker 21120.36s - 1121.02s

That's, yeah.

Speaker 31121.22s - 1121.94s

Also good.

Speaker 21122.08s - 1123.44s

That fucked me pretty bad too.

Speaker 31123.58s - 1123.98s

Yeah.

Speaker 21124.28s - 1127.34s

Yeah. Not a cheap card though. It's like $21.

Speaker 31127.88s - 1132.14s

It's a mythic. Because it's a mythic. Pretty good.

Speaker 21132.34s - 1133.36s

And everybody likes it.

Speaker 01133.56s - 1135.1s

I'm not sure if this next one's good.

Speaker 21135.1s - 1139.72s

It seems like it would be okay. It's the claim jumper.

Speaker 01140.18s - 1155.9s

Two in a white for a three, three vigilant rabbit mercenary. Just kind of get used to this, people. You're gonna have to get used to it. It's got vigilance. When claim jumper enters the battlefield,if an opponent controls more lands than you, you may search your library for a planes card and put it onto the battlefield tapped.

Speaker 31156.14s - 1156.5s

Okay.

Speaker 21156.94s - 1158.78s

Planes card, not a basic plan's card.

Speaker 31159.62s - 1161.58s

Then if an opponent controls more lands

Speaker 21161.58s - 1164.82s

than you repeat this process once, if you search your library this way, shuffle.

Speaker 31165s - 1169.7s

Nice. So if they're still ahead after search your library this way, shuffle. Nice. So if they're still ahead after the first, you'd go again. Yeah.

Speaker 21170.24s - 1171.62s

That's a pretty good catch-up.

Speaker 31171.8s - 1184.6s

Three, three vigilance for three. And it's when it enters, right? Which some of these white spells that you need some other situation, like that hawk that you got to get into combatto go trigger its ability

Speaker 01184.6s - 1186.24s

to search you up a land. Doesn't seem okay?

Speaker 31186.52s - 1211.56s

I dig this. Yeah, I dig it. Those are my two white ones. Okay, okay. Maybe we move on. Yeah, so let's move on to blue with our listeners reviews. And then Andy PERSON can fill in the gaps on this, that color as well. So this is Empress Quinn coming at us with Arcane Heist. use. And then Andy PERSON can fill in the gaps on this, that color as well. Uh, so this is Empress Quinn PERSON coming at us with arcane heist. Arcane heist.

Speaker 21212.16s - 1223.76s

Two, blue, blue for sorcery. You may cast target instant or sorcery card from an opponent's graveyard without paying its mana cost. If that spell would be put into their graveyard, exile instead. And it has cipher.

Speaker 01224.26s - 1224.74s

Oh, cipher.

Speaker 31225.12s - 1226.72s

What year is this?

Speaker 01226.96s - 1244.54s

So to remind, Cipher is when you may exile this spell card encoded on a creature, you control. Whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player, its controller may cast a copy of the encoded card without paying its manicose. So it becomes like a... I think of Cipher PRODUCT as like auras.

Speaker 31244.64s - 1248.24s

Yeah, it's like an aura that gets recast. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 01248.3s - 1250.76s

It's pretty sick.

Speaker 31251.32s - 1300.52s

I enjoy this one too. Yeah. Okay. Well, let's see what is said about it. So do you see this card getting broad adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like this card? Why should we be paying attention to it? I like this because I'm the fan girl requesting additional cipher cards. And every time they give me one, my power grows. Pairs perfectly with paranoid delusions in the cipher deck, putting cards into your yard for you to steal with the heist. Outside of dedicated cipher decks, decks with evasive creatures that are already millinglike Captain Nagathrod. And, or that are wheeling, Kess PERSON, brawlin, and chabras, could probably farm quite a bit of value out of this. Free spells, good question mark. More at 11.

Speaker 21301.7s - 1303.08s

Thanks for that newscast.

Speaker 31303.08s - 1307.06s

So a couple months ago

Speaker 21307.06s - 1322.18s

or however long it was I had the what the fuck is the card? It's the vehicle that lets you like if you hityou get to Deluxe Dragster PRODUCT.

Speaker 31322.5s - 1322.88s

Yeah.

Speaker 21323.04s - 1328.04s

It's five mana. Deluxe Dragster can't be blocked except by vehicles which who the fuck has that ready ever. When Deluxe dragster. Yeah. It's five mana. Deluxe dragster can't be blocked except by vehicles, which who the fuck has that

Speaker 31328.04s - 1337.62s

ready ever. When deluxe dragster deals combat damage to a player, you may cast target incident or sorcery spell from that player's graveyard without paying its mana cost if that spell would be put in the graveyard, exile it instead.

Speaker 21339.56s - 1345.02s

I did some pretty good work with that. I picked up like a cultivator too. It's just felt like old school.

Speaker 31345.02s - 1351.08s

Because even like low key instance of sorceries that you get to recast, they're helpful. They're helpful.

Speaker 21351.22s - 1352.54s

That's why they're in people's decks.

Speaker 31352.62s - 1365.22s

Right. So a little later, I was playing against Brad PERSON's, what's the dude's name? It's like, he's the floaty moonfolk dudethat puts counters on artifacts. He's a vehicle commander that Brad PERSON has. It's

Speaker 21365.22s - 1373.46s

mono blue. He had this bad boy out and I was playing Smasher and Galandra PRODUCT and I just was not. I was

Speaker 01373.46s - 1377.38s

trying to move around it because I can't block it. Yeah, you're like, I can't stop that. I couldn't

Speaker 21377.38s - 1381.48s

block it. Brad PERSON's going to get all my spells. Yeah. And they were just stuff I didn't want to see him

Speaker 31381.48s - 1386.1s

casting like ramp and card draw and then even in some cases, removal, he'd just throw it right back at me.

Speaker 21386.16s - 1387.08s

And then they're gone forever.

Speaker 31387.08s - 1387.48s

So,

Speaker 21387.64s - 1391.52s

ooh, it's a, this is pretty cool. It's pretty cool. If you have evasive creatures,

Speaker 31393.08s - 1399.24s

let's start thinking about arcane heist. Yeah, I think it's at the same cost as an archaeomancer, right? But,

Speaker 21399.34s - 1399.68s

fuck yeah.

Speaker 31399.78s - 1400.86s

You have the potential to.

Speaker 21400.9s - 1403.02s

Convinced. It's going in the, it's going in the shopping cart.

Speaker 31403.44s - 1414.68s

Yeah. Yeah, convinced. That's pretty good. Pretty good. What's next? All right. Thanks Empress Quinn PERSON for that one. Next we've got Sil PERSON who's got esoteric duplicator.

Speaker 21415.8s - 1441.74s

I just weirdly, I was looking at this one going on. What's this one? So two in a blue for an artifact clue. Whenever you sacrifice esoteric duplicator or another artifact, you may pay two. If you do at the beginning of the next end step, create a token that's a copy of that artifact. What the fuck? Is this, this is a blue card? What the fuck? caring about sacrificing otherartifacts. Or you can pay to sacrifice the esoteric duplicator and draw a card. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 31442.9s - 1460.16s

Okay, so let's see what Sil PERSON has to say about its broad adoption or not. And they say, it's my precious. So probably only me and my alter ego are going to use it. Why do you like this card? And why should we be paying attention? So this card is sick in decks that want it. That's a good statement.

Speaker 01460.52s - 1471.12s

Dope. I'm putting it in my Brea PRODUCT deck that cares about zone changing artifacts. This cares greatly about artifacts that have ETB and LTB triggers.

Speaker 31471.52s - 1497.42s

Some cards like I-Corps Wellspring and Solem Simulacrum that have both just go off. There are some really cruelcombos with cards like Ugin's Nexus and Mineslaver with the right pieces to take infinite turns and still everyone's turns. If you're kinder to your play group, you can copy artifact tokens you sack for value like maps, food, clues, blood, and even treasures, question mark.

Speaker 41497.64s - 1520.62s

The most interesting synergy I found is with Clark Clan Ironworks and Ashnods Altar ORG with artifact creatures specifically. Esoteric duplicator specifically mentions the next end step, not just yours, so you could get both solemn triggerson each of your opponent's turns. Or you could take infinite turns like I highlighted before, but that's boring.

Speaker 31521.06s - 1528.52s

Wouldn't you rather be looping gear hulks like torrential and combustible? That's what I Wouldn't you rather be looping gear hulks like torrential and combustible? That's what I'll be doing.

Speaker 21530.96s - 1537.54s

Here I'm just sitting out here with my furnace celebration. Look like a fucking idiot. And this thing comes along. What's the next one?

Speaker 31538.24s - 1543.86s

All right. Let's get over to, we've got North Dakota GPE hitting us with fleeting reflection.

Speaker 21544.96s - 1559.72s

Fleeting reflection. That's the one with like the weird porcupine character. One in a blue for an instant. Target creature you control gains hexproof until end of turn. Untap that creature until end of turn. It becomes a copy of up to one other target creature.Oh, weird. Oh, weird.

Speaker 31560.94s - 1584.44s

Okay. Okay. Do you see this card getting brought into option? No, but it should. Why do you like this card? In Wizards ORG' quest to make no unplayable draft cards, they keep making cards that just do a little bit of everything. Fleeting reflection can act as a piece of protection in your deck while also generating a ton of value in the right circumstances. No flying blockers while a big nasty is coming at you.

Speaker 41584.84s - 1586.44s

Now you've un untapped one of your

Speaker 31586.44s - 1592.8s

tiny tokens and made it a copy of the flying beatstick blocking easily. What if your opponent has a

Speaker 41592.8s - 1598.42s

consecrated sphinx and you'd like to dip in on that action for a turn? Maybe you just have a

Speaker 31598.42s - 1604.62s

goblin. Play your eyes. Oh. Motion thief. Oh. Yeah. Goblin Electromancer lying around,

Speaker 01604.62s - 1605.94s

but you could really

Speaker 31605.94s - 1607.62s

use another one to go off.

Speaker 01608.28s - 1620.6s

Worst case scenario, this could just be, uh, this just gives your guy hexproof and untaps it, which can honestly be enough sometimes. Try it out. I like it.

Speaker 31621.24s - 1622.28s

I like it.

Speaker 21623.44s - 1628.18s

What's the next one? I like that commentary. I like it. I like it. I like it. What's the next one? I like that commentary.

Speaker 31628.52s - 1642.46s

I like it. I like it. You love to see it. You love to see it. Andy PERSON, do you care? I do care.Shifting grift is the next one.

Speaker 21642.68s - 1644.44s

Shifting shitting grift.

Speaker 31646.9s - 1647s

I already have this card in the deck.

Speaker 21647.84s - 1677.12s

I fucking like it. Hit me with it. Oh, I'm just saying I, I'm using this already. Oh, you already have it in a deck. I have purchased this card already. What the fuck? So it's another spree card. It's blue, blue with a spree, but it's a sorcery. Choose up to one additional costs. You can do the plus two. Exchange control of two target creatures for four. choose up to one additional costs. You can do the plus two exchange control of two target creatures. For four, exchange control, or for one, exchange control of two target artifacts, and plus one more, exchange control of two target enchantments. Oh,

Speaker 11677.18s - 1678.4s

you could just scramble.

Speaker 21678.4s - 1680.44s

You could totally scramble game plans

Speaker 11680.44s - 1686.16s

all over the board. So for six, manna, you can just move a lot of stuff around. Two creatures,

Speaker 31686.36s - 1687.94s

two artifacts, two enchants.

Speaker 21688.06s - 1695.78s

I'll swap up. And we're big fans of this effect on this podcast. I don't like being the victim of it, but I honestly think it's pretty, pretty fucking good.

Speaker 31696s - 1715.94s

All right, let's see what Josh PERSON has to say. Do you see this card getting broad adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like it? I think this is really hitting it with these spree cards. I think they offer really hitting it with these spree cards. I think they offer a lot of value with flexibility while being at the right mana barriers. This one will probably go under the radar, but it's one of the cheapest switch-roo effects out there

Speaker 41715.94s - 1735.48s

with the ability to switch multiple permanence on top of that. And as you guys have pointed out many times before, switching permanence can be even better than spot removal a lot of the time particularly if you pick two opponents to switch board pieces it's pretty annoying uh love this card and it is slotting into my too many gormaldrack PRODUCT deck right away

Speaker 31735.48s - 1743.72s

ooh andy yeah doing doing that's pretty good yeah i have it in my switch i have it in my switch

Speaker 21743.72s - 1745.42s

i have it in my switch rude deck and it's it's one of my

Speaker 31745.42s - 1755.08s

one of the pieces i'm like really excited about what's up next uh next we have jeff

Speaker 01755.08s - 1761.06s

who's hitting us up with simulacrum synthesizer oh wow two in a blue for an artifact when

Speaker 31761.06s - 1765.94s

the simulacrum synthesizer PRODUCT enters the battlefield scry 2. Whenever

Speaker 21765.94s - 1783.74s

another artifact with manna value 3 or greater enters the battlefield under your control create a 0.0 colorless. These are like the worst tokens dude. The 0.0 colorless construct artifact creature token withthis creature gets a plus 1 plus 1 for each artifact you control. Okay.

Speaker 31784.94s - 1814.94s

Let's see what Jeff PERSON has to say. As far as broad adoption, absolutely, and why should we be paying attention? Absolute gravy in any blue plus artifact deck, giving you a carnestruct every time another artifact with three CMC or greater ETBson the battlefield, plus a scry two on its own ETB. The only thing holding this thing back will be its wild price tag currently sitting at $40 at time of writing.

Speaker 21814.94s - 1820.02s

What the fuck are people planning to do with this? Up from the $15 at release,

Speaker 31820.68s - 1835.72s

courtesy of being a big scorecard with constructed playability. There you go. Got it. I managed to snag a copy for Liberty Prime PRODUCT, but any artifact decknot completely shackled to Cheerios PRODUCT or eggs, I would recommend this card too.

Speaker 21835.84s - 1837.56s

Yeah, that's true. I like that.

Speaker 31838.56s - 1848.2s

Maybe even flicker decks like Brago PRODUCT could get some value too. Every time they flicker their entire board of hedron archives and Thrandaemonos

Speaker 21848.2s - 1849.94s

Huh, it's a good point.

Speaker 31850.06s - 1855.86s

Yeah, solid. That's a lot of Carnstructs PRODUCT. What's the next one?

Speaker 21856.16s - 1858.18s

All right, Lenny PERSON is hitting us up with

Speaker 31858.18s - 1862.12s

This town ain't big enough. This town ain't big enough.

Speaker 21863.12s - 1882.74s

Four in a blue for an instant. This spell costs three less to cast. If it targets a permanent, you control. Return up to two target non-land permanence to their owner's hands. I actually like these cards for like,I don't know, having an archaeomancer. Lenny PERSON says it's my precious,

Speaker 31883.04s - 1924.94s

so probably only he and his alter ego are going to be using it. Why do you like this card? Single target bounce spells tend to get ignored in favor of the most permanent solutions. Blue somehow has plenty of. But I like this one for how flexible it is. You can remove something and recapture an ETB, save two of your things, or pay that mannapremium to deal with two problems for a turn. That one turn is enough more often than you would think. Hmm. I struggle to, I feel like Lenny PERSON's right about that.I struggle sometimes to see if like, it's that those cards that shouldn't exist in blue that he's alluding to you.

Speaker 21924.94s - 1929.42s

Not just such fucking good removal on a few cards available to you.

Speaker 31929.56s - 1932.9s

You could have a demure deck and have those before you start putting the black.

Speaker 21932.98s - 1935.12s

Oh, absolutely, right?

Speaker 31935.74s - 1937.04s

Oh, that's annoying.

Speaker 21938.36s - 1939.46s

That's fucking annoying.

Speaker 31940.4s - 1941.88s

All right. You ready for the next one?

Speaker 21942.08s - 1943.92s

I think I'd like this if I brought back in a bond.

Speaker 31944.46s - 1947.3s

Because it would cost two to bounce a wizard,

Speaker 21947.46s - 1948.36s

bounce one of your things.

Speaker 31948.52s - 1949.02s

Yes.

Speaker 21949.38s - 1951.82s

Or bounce two of my wizards back to hand.

Speaker 31952.28s - 1955.16s

Then just give two triggers twice again.

Speaker 21955.32s - 1955.56s

Yeah.

Speaker 31955.56s - 1963.06s

And if one of them is an archaeomancer, that's annoying. Because I was doing that with like aether trade wins. Yeah. That's what it's called. Yeah.

Speaker 21963.66s - 1964.56s

Okay, what is the next one?

Speaker 31964.56s - 1965.02s

That's a hot spot. So Josh is hitting us with three steps ahead it's called yeah okay what is the next one that's a hot

Speaker 21965.02s - 1971.86s

spot so josh is hitting us with three steps ahead oh yeah this is the the counter spell it's blue

Speaker 31971.86s - 1976.48s

an instant for with the spree you can pay an additional one in a blue to counter target spell or you can

Speaker 21976.48s - 1986.48s

play an additional three uh create a token that's a copy of target artifact or creature you control or pay an extra two draw two two cards, then discard a card. All right.

Speaker 31986.74s - 1987.24s

Nice.

Speaker 21987.5s - 1988.06s

Nice.

Speaker 31988.06s - 1988.94s

Nice.

Speaker 21988.94s - 2008.84s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like this card? A versatile card like this pushes the boundaries of whether or not you think a three-manna counter spell can be worth it. In my opinion, the four-manana copy ability is absolutely worth the mana, especially at instant speed.

Speaker 12009.22s - 2009.44s

Yeah.

Speaker 32009.76s - 2030.52s

There are not that many options at instant speed in mono-blue for that effect, as is. Put it in any too many commander, clone, blink, or just a deck with good for the mana creatures, and you won't be embarrassed. Think of it as a clone spell first, counterspell and emergencies option, and you are in a good spot.

Speaker 22030.78s - 2043.46s

I like that perspective on understanding that. I'm gonna guess this one is very popular. I'm just gonna guess that because they're completely sold out and they're like $8 or $9.

Speaker 32044.9s - 2060.32s

I like that effect when you can create, like, I mean, strapping a counterspell to the ability to copy something, that's pretty fucking good. And a little bit of a looting effect to boot.

Speaker 12061.12s - 2062.3s

What's the next one?

Speaker 32062.38s - 2063.24s

That's pretty nice.

Speaker 12064.52s - 2066.34s

Next one is

Speaker 32066.34s - 2067.52s

Thunder Clap Drake

Speaker 12067.52s - 2068.94s

and this is coming from...

Speaker 32068.94s - 2069.86s

Yeah, these are just

Speaker 12069.86s - 2071.06s

good cards.

Speaker 32071.36s - 2072.04s

One in a blue

Speaker 22072.04s - 2074s

for a creature Drake PERSON flying.

Speaker 32074.2s - 2075.38s

Instant and sorcery spells

Speaker 22075.38s - 2093.18s

you cast costs one list to cast. It's a two one by the way. That's it. That's all you really need to give a shit about. You can pay two in a blue sacrifice the Thunder clap Drake when you cast your next instant resource for this turn, copy it for each time you've cast your commander from the command zone, this game. Bro.

Speaker 42093.6s - 2093.96s

Ooh.

Speaker 32094.8s - 2095.04s

Bro.

Speaker 22096.64s - 2097.04s

Ooh.

Speaker 32099.08s - 2114.14s

Hmm. Okay. I'm listening. I'm listening. What does Josh PERSON say? Absolutely going to have broad adoption. Why do you like this card? Why should we be paying attention? Power creep alert. Power creep alert. I don't think I'm reading that the way they intended it.

Speaker 12114.18s - 2114.44s

Yeah.

Speaker 32115.48s - 2117.24s

In some episode during the past year.

Speaker 12117.6s - 2118.14s

That's the best.

Speaker 22118.94s - 2123.36s

There's a serious alert going on. Kyle PERSON comes into the room and goes, Power creep alert.

Speaker 12123.36s - 2124.46s

Power creep alert.

Speaker 42124.82s - 2125.76s

Power creep alert. Fire alert. on. Kyle PERSON comes into the room and goes, it's like, Power creep alert. Power creep alert. Power creep alert.

Speaker 12127.3s - 2128.16s

Fire alert.

Speaker 22129s - 2129.32s

Fire.

Speaker 32131.12s - 2135.86s

Can you imagine if you had just like Jeff Goldblum PERSON on speaker when there's a fire and he's just

Speaker 22135.86s - 2148.94s

like, uh, there's a, there is a fire. I know this is sounds counterintuitive, but, uh, you should get out of the house. Uh, yes, yes, get out. There's a, ooh, there's a fire.

Speaker 32151.08s - 2158.86s

So in some episode during the past year, Andy PERSON remarked how he wished Hoddy Jin PERSON was just two mana and reduced the cost instead.

Speaker 42159.2s - 2160.24s

Well, here you go.

Speaker 32160.28s - 2160.78s

Here we go.

Speaker 42161.38s - 2170.14s

With an extra ability to copy an instant or source rate. It's not even what I wanted, but I'll take it. Right? Potentially for two or more times, what a

Speaker 22170.14s - 2175.52s

wild card! Yeah, all your backgrounds are commanders. That's fucking... Your partners are... Awesome.

Speaker 32175.82s - 2207.72s

Commanders, yeah. Yeah, dog. This has been a trend with wizards, taking already solid abilities on cards that aren't overly powerful slash used and giving them lower mana costs andextra abilities. See, Tiny Bones joins up versus the typical two mana creatures that do the same thing. When you print so many cards in a year, you are forced into pushing the power upin every corner you can. Of course, I know we have Baral PRODUCT and Goblin Electromancer already, but this just adds to the pile. course, I know we have Baral and Goblin Electromancer PRODUCT already, but this just adds to the pile.

Speaker 02208s - 2209.92s

Indeed, I'm paying attention.

Speaker 22210.56s - 2211.28s

I like that.

Speaker 32211.42s - 2211.72s

Nice.

Speaker 22213.22s - 2215.34s

Very nice. Very nice card. Very nice.

Speaker 32216.28s - 2217.94s

Best Drake PERSON. Very good. Very nice.

Speaker 22218.04s - 2218.58s

Best Drake PERSON.

Speaker 02220.38s - 2222.06s

What Drake PERSON is the best Drake?

Speaker 22222.46s - 2226.92s

Isn't there some Drake PERSON that's on beefing with somebody right now?

Speaker 32227.7s - 2236.34s

I don't know. What the fuck? I don't know pop culture things. Seth PERSON is talking to... Is that the Drake that was trying to fuck 11? Fuck, I shouldn't.

Speaker 12236.54s - 2237.4s

Let's move on.

Speaker 32238.32s - 2243.62s

Whoa. Visage bandit, speaking of banditry. Oh, whoa.

Speaker 22244.46s - 2245.72s

Three in a blue for a

Speaker 32245.72s - 2248.28s

two-two creature, shapeshifter

Speaker 22248.28s - 2272.08s

rogue. You may have Vizage Bandit PRODUCT, enter the battlefield as a copy of a creature you control, except it's a shapeshifter rogue, in addition to other types. Oh, this is the first plot card we have. Or you could pay two in a blue. You maypay two in a blue and exile this card from your hand, cast it as a sorcery on a later turn without paying its mana cost, plot only as a sorcery. Okay.

Speaker 32272.68s - 2273.56s

That's pretty neat.

Speaker 22273.84s - 2278.76s

So they're telling us that this card is not going to get broad adoption.

Speaker 32279.06s - 2281.56s

Probably, yeah.

Speaker 02281.56s - 2283.36s

But why should we be paying attention?

Speaker 32283.54s - 2290.62s

Just because this outlaw can only clone one of our own creatures doesn't mean I won't be jamming it into my own clones list.

Speaker 22291.3s - 2305.04s

The three-man-a-plot cost is totally fair in the fact that Visage Bandit PRODUCT can be unplotted once you have something juicy on board to clone just means your opponent should be twice as scared of a big turn with your gray merchant or whatever

Speaker 32305.04s - 2309.4s

other ETB trigger triggering creature you could, uh, looking to catch you.

Speaker 22309.4s - 2319.66s

True, isn't it? Like, you can hold off and it's not just stinking up your hand. And it's like you have a, a turn where it's a panharmonicon in a way, where you actually have two bodies, though.

Speaker 32319.74s - 2325.16s

Yeah. Yeah, I do like that. That's, that's some good tech right there. I like that. Some very good tick. What are they going to do about it? Fucking nothing. That's some good tech right there. I like that.

Speaker 22326.48s - 2331.08s

Some very good tech. What are they going to do about it? Fucking nothing. That's what? That's right. Nothing.

Speaker 32331.8s - 2338.04s

All right. Stormy PERSON is going to close out the last alphabetical blue card. The last alphabetical blue card.

Speaker 22338.04s - 2367.16s

Which would be a World Waker Helm PRODUCT. Oh, yeah. I was hoping we'd talk about this one. It's two in a blue for an artifact. If you would create one or more artifact tokens, instead create those tokens plus an additional map token. An additional map token. You love map tokens, Kyle PERSON. Fuck me. It's an artifact with pay one tap, sacrifice this artifact, target creature you control explores. Motherfucker. Activate only as a control explores. Motherfucker.Activate only as a sorcery.

Speaker 32367.7s - 2377.96s

Motherfucker! Yeah, you also could pay one in a blue and tap, create a token that's a copy of target artifact you control. Bluh. I hope you copy a map token. That'd be fucking cool.

Speaker 22378.2s - 2381.06s

Create a token that's a copy of target artifact you control.

Speaker 32383.06s - 2384.94s

Thanks at least for reminding us.

Speaker 22385.5s - 2389.04s

Wait, can you just make a copy of the World Waker Helm PRODUCT?

Speaker 32389.98s - 2391.12s

I mean, it is.

Speaker 22391.58s - 2392.46s

Oh, Artifact token.

Speaker 32392.6s - 2395.6s

So you'd have to have to figure out a way to make an artifact version of the World Waker Helm PRODUCT.

Speaker 22395.92s - 2398.28s

And then you can just start pumping out more World Waker Helms PRODUCT.

Speaker 32399.36s - 2400.32s

That would be neat.

Speaker 22400.44s - 2401.04s

I'm into it.

Speaker 32401.1s - 2402.2s

That would be kind of neat.

Speaker 22403.38s - 2404.06s

World Walker PRODUCT.

Speaker 32404.3s - 2405.48s

Sorry, I'm saying World Waker PRODUCT.

Speaker 22405.6s - 2410.02s

Oh, I, yeah. World Walker PRODUCT helm. I mean, if there's somebody walking the world,

Speaker 32410.14s - 2414.12s

they're probably waking it too, right? Do you see this card getting brought adoption?

Speaker 22414.32s - 2418.1s

Everyone. Wake up. No. Alert. Alert. Power creep alert.

Speaker 32418.1s - 2422.72s

Power creep alert. It's time to wake up. It's power creep alert. Why do you like this card?

Speaker 22422.72s - 2425.82s

Why should we be paying attention? Before I say more,

Speaker 32426.06s - 2428.68s

get your piece out about map tokens.

Speaker 22429.34s - 2429.9s

Yes, yes.

Speaker 32429.98s - 2431.16s

Mechanics within mechanics.

Speaker 22431.46s - 2432.04s

Thank you.

Speaker 32432.14s - 2433.36s

Thank you for affording me that.

Speaker 22433.66s - 2434.42s

Good works, darling.

Speaker 32435.34s - 2437.76s

What does Explore PRODUCT do, yada, yada.

Speaker 22437.88s - 2440.58s

Who fucking cares what Explore PRODUCT does?

Speaker 32440.58s - 2443.22s

Because despite this fucker making you maps,

Speaker 22443.62s - 2445.04s

you'll likely never use them for that

Speaker 32445.04s - 2453.16s

purpose. Any artifact token also make a map. Do you know how crazy that is? Imagine this. The first

Speaker 22453.16s - 2459.8s

thing I thought of, Cy Master Thopterist PRODUCT. Now, every artifact generates enough artifacts for

Speaker 32459.8s - 2466.44s

to draw a card. That's the base. In an is-at deck, not every treasure maker

Speaker 22466.44s - 2468.66s

triggers reckless fireweaver twice.

Speaker 32469.44s - 2469.94s

Or now,

Speaker 22470.24s - 2470.52s

sorry,

Speaker 02470.72s - 2471.74s

now every treasure maker.

Speaker 22472.44s - 2474.22s

Every investigation creates

Speaker 32474.22s - 2475.68s

a Clark PERSON clan fodder

Speaker 42475.68s - 2483.08s

to draw with a clue. Every two-one mirror comes with an additional token for Brutoclad to convert into something else.

Speaker 02483.38s - 2484.68s

And every construct

Speaker 32484.68s - 2500.68s

comes with an additional artifact to up its stats. No one needs to know what the hell a map token does because artifact tokens could have literally no text on them and still be powerful. That is true. I see what you're, I see where you're going with this. And then for two minutes.

Speaker 22500.68s - 2502.92s

Sure, I could just say scrap. Yeah. Really good.

Speaker 12502.92s - 2503.16s

Right.

Speaker 22503.52s - 2507.16s

He's like, I'll use it. Well, fucking you. Isn't there a scrap token? There is. There is a scrap token. I was going just say scrap. Yeah, really good, right? He's like, I'll use it. Well, fucking, isn't there a scrap token? There is.

Speaker 32507.78s - 2508.64s

There is a scrap token.

Speaker 22508.72s - 2510.4s

I was going to say, that's actually a thing.

Speaker 32510.86s - 2514.46s

Yeah, they wouldn't be, yeah, it's just a token that does nothing.

Speaker 22515.96s - 2521.46s

And then for two mana, you can tap this artifact to just create copies of powerful artifact tokens.

Speaker 32522.08s - 2522.98s

And a map token.

Speaker 22523.18s - 2525.44s

If that's your cup of tea and a map token.

Speaker 32526s - 2526.36s

Uh,

Speaker 12526.46s - 2538.78s

I'm sure the urzes that make Carnstructs would really like that. Lull. Uh, case in point,if Chatterfing has taught us anything, it's that a bonus token is insane value. Lall PERSON.

Speaker 22539.74s - 2544.38s

Do you remember Rob, uh, Bladen? Rob Bladen PERSON.

Speaker 32544.52s - 2544.76s

He was,

Speaker 22544.76s - 2545.86s

is a Discover ORG person?

Speaker 32545.86s - 2546.68s

Yeah, he was a TL.

Speaker 22546.82s - 2547.18s

Oh,

Speaker 32547.36s - 2548.96s

he was your TL for a bit, right?

Speaker 22548.96s - 2554.44s

Yeah, so, like, I remember he was really big into World of Warcraft PRODUCT, like really, really, really big into it.

Speaker 32554.44s - 2556.8s

And he was someone that you wouldn't maybe have expected would be into,

Speaker 22556.8s - 2557.72s

yeah, because he's a dick.

Speaker 32557.9s - 2558.14s

Yeah.

Speaker 22558.44s - 2583.86s

But then nowadays, that kind of makes sense. But back then, like, I don't know, there was everyone I knew that played World of Warcraft PRODUCT,they were fucking cool people. Yeah, yeah. But then it just devolved I don't know. There was everyone I knew that played World Warcraft PRODUCT. They were fucking cool people. Yeah, yeah. But then it just devolved into everybody played it. And it's just, you know, kind of what's happening to magic, right? So I had this other friend that was working there and he was really into Warhammer PRODUCT. And there was like a Warhammer PRODUCT MMO that was supposed to come out back then that everyone washoping would compete with slash kill.

Speaker 42586.36s - 2590.5s

Yeah. Kill World Warcraft PRODUCT. And he was like just sitting there talking to me about something and he's

Speaker 22590.5s - 2627.44s

like hey by the way because he was my boss I had to just like endure his bullshit about his death night and just his bragging like on and on but like as he was walking or he was about to leave he was he was talking to me about his stupid blood death night and whatever the bullshit he was doing. And I was pretending to care. And I, I wasn't really playing the game very heavily back then. But he's moving to walk away. Like, he's walking away like he's done talking. And then he stops and turns around. And he goes, oh, hey, by the way, did you tell this other guy who was really into Warhammer PRODUCT, the MMO? Did you tell Caleb, uh, Warhammer PRODUCT, lull? And then just left.

Speaker 32628.08s - 2630.1s

He just drops that. Did you tell

Speaker 22630.1s - 2631.62s

Caleb Warhammer PRODUCT lull?

Speaker 32632.12s - 2632.68s

Yeah.

Speaker 22634.14s - 2635.46s

Like it was some assignment.

Speaker 32636.34s - 2637.52s

He never told me to do that.

Speaker 22638.4s - 2640.04s

Hey, by the way, did you tell

Speaker 32640.04s - 2641.76s

Caleb Warhammer PRODUCT lull?

Speaker 22642.14s - 2643.16s

And then left.

Speaker 32647.32s - 2651.34s

You're just going to write him a fucking sticky note Yeah Like so Rob PERSON says I did though

Speaker 22651.34s - 2657.3s

I was like hey man Rob Bladen says Warhammer PRODUCT lull And he just fucking freaked out Caleb PERSON Caleb was a piece of work for sure

Speaker 32657.3s - 2679.42s

Anyway sorry I interrupted that Review ORG there are people That In our 20s Yeah And us now in late 30s, I want to where are they now episode about some of these people. No kidding. Like I genuinely would watch.Like the chick who wouldn't take ibuprofen when you had a headache.

Speaker 22679.42s - 2680.96s

Oh my God.

Speaker 32681.38s - 2684.94s

There are so many people like you're a fucking idiot and you're like, okay.

Speaker 22685.86s - 2690.86s

That was one of the moments where I just like my, I, I unleashed what I was thinking,

Speaker 32691.1s - 2693.12s

like, because she still smoked.

Speaker 22693.82s - 2705.36s

Yeah, the lady was pregnant and she was complaining about a headache for like the last two hours. And I don't know if it was Kyle or the guy that we were sitting next to Alex PERSON. He offered her some ibuprofen and she looked at, she looked at him like

Speaker 02705.36s - 2711.28s

we were trying to kill her kid. I'm pregnant. I can't. But she was going down for smoke breaks.

Speaker 42711.28s - 2715.42s

Like, she was still a chain smoker, dude. Yeah, she was a chain. She was going to smoke breaks like

Speaker 22715.42s - 2722.52s

every 15 minutes. It's crazy. Well, you can hotbox that baby, but we'll take a fucking ibuprofen.

Speaker 32722.52s - 2725.38s

Yeah. You could hickory smoke that baby

Speaker 22725.38s - 2726.14s

Seriously

Speaker 32726.14s - 2727.86s

I there

Speaker 42727.86s - 2728.82s

In that fucking oven

Speaker 32728.82s - 2731.74s

I would genuinely watch a Netflix ORG series

Speaker 22731.74s - 2733.4s

About where are they now

Speaker 42733.4s - 2734.36s

People you know

Speaker 22734.36s - 2744.4s

People from the call center To discover card For a show Rather than you being the star of the show You know what I mean Right like these crazy peopleThat sign up for like my latest obsession

Speaker 32744.4s - 2750.02s

Oh yeah. Or my 300 pound twin or whatever the fuck, right? My 10 ton twin. It's,

Speaker 22750.82s - 2754.88s

I just want people to, I'll just give them like a hit list and they just scope them out.

Speaker 12754.88s - 2756.52s

Just go find these people.

Speaker 32756.52s - 2756.54s

Without their permission,

Speaker 12756.9s - 2759.22s

they're like celebrity by proxy because,

Speaker 32759.34s - 2761.16s

because I'm on this show.

Speaker 12761.62s - 2762.94s

Like it would be,

Speaker 32763.44s - 2764.46s

I'm telling you,

Speaker 12764.46s - 2764.7s

Andy PERSON.

Speaker 32764.7s - 2765.32s

I don't know if they could do that. That'd be fucking crazy though. But a bunch of, it would be, I'm telling you, Andy PERSON. I don't know they could do that.

Speaker 22765.42s - 2767.24s

That'd be fucking crazy, though.

Speaker 32767.52s - 2771.22s

But a bunch of these people would be just as entertaining as the Tiger King PERSON.

Speaker 22771.76s - 2772.22s

No kidding.

Speaker 32772.52s - 2772.78s

Like,

Speaker 22773.24s - 2774.5s

absolutely they would be.

Speaker 32774.5s - 2774.88s

No kidding.

Speaker 22777.32s - 2780.08s

There would probably be dead bodies involved with some of them, too.

Speaker 32780.18s - 2784.56s

We couldn't find them. Why? Well, you know. Oh, okay. I get you.

Speaker 22786.36s - 2788.74s

Do you have any extra blue cards you wanted to throw out? I don't. We're good find them. Why? Well, you know. Oh, okay. I get you. Do you have any extra blue cards you wanted to throw out?

Speaker 32788.74s - 2789.16s

I don't.

Speaker 22789.26s - 2790.96s

We're good. Okay. Let's move on to black.

Speaker 32793.28s - 2796.74s

Getting stormy in succession here. So we've got Foraken Minor PRODUCT.

Speaker 22797.24s - 2799.08s

I've got to jump all the way down to the F's.

Speaker 32799.28s - 2799.56s

Forcaken Minor.

Speaker 22799.72s - 2800.7s

Oh, this was this card.

Speaker 32801.06s - 2823.56s

Forcaken Minor, it's a black for a 2-2 skeleton rogue. Forcaken Minor PRODUCT can't block. Whenever you commit a crime, which, you know, to remind everybody, targeting opponents, anything they control and or cards in their graveyard is a crime. Lull. Whenever you commit a crime, you can pay one black if you do return forsaken minor from the graveyard to the battlefield.Okay.

Speaker 02824.04s - 2826.58s

Let's see what Stormy PERSON has to say about this one.

Speaker 32826.62s - 2827.92s

Art's actually sick as fuck, too.

Speaker 02828.24s - 2829.92s

Do you see this card getting brought adoption?

Speaker 32830.56s - 2830.96s

Absolutely.

Speaker 02831.46s - 2832.28s

Why do you like it?

Speaker 32832.62s - 2835.72s

New Gooney PERSON alert. New Gooney PERSON alert.

Speaker 22837.38s - 2837.78s

Everyone.

Speaker 32838.18s - 2839.48s

Hi. Sorry to interrupt.

Speaker 22839.78s - 2842.76s

There is a new goony that's arrived.

Speaker 32843.92s - 2844.92s

There's a new goony.

Speaker 22845.12s - 2845.96s

And this is your alert.

Speaker 32846.14s - 2846.94s

This is your alert.

Speaker 22849.04s - 2851.68s

Admittedly, this one's got a few downsides to it, though.

Speaker 32852.2s - 2862.82s

Unlike your reassembling skeletons of the world, the minor is a trigger rather than an activation. So it limits it quite a bit. But thankfully, that trigger is all too easy. All too easy.

Speaker 02863.06s - 2863.28s

Yeah.

Speaker 32863.58s - 2866.72s

Committing a crime is like this color's fuller.

Speaker 02866.72s - 2867.44s

Forte.

Speaker 32868.04s - 2900.7s

Targeting any opponent with anything is enough to get this sack of bones, shambling back for the low, low cost of the black, the black manna. You sent it through your phrexian altar for. Nice. Blood artist, Falcon Roth Noble, Vane Ripper PERSON, Aristocrat effects mentioned many timesthat commit crimes when the minor dies. Also, not sure if this is a card worth considering for it,but Atherios commits crimes all stapled onto a one mana 2-2. One mana 2-2 with upside.

Speaker 22902.12s - 2903.18s

Can't block.

Speaker 32904.1s - 2904.88s

It's the op.

Speaker 22905.06s - 2909.72s

Athrios ORG is like just, it doesn't, it's different. I got to, I got to have blockers.

Speaker 32909.86s - 2911.14s

That window that Andy PERSON's got to put cards through.

Speaker 22911.14s - 2913.08s

People really want on my life total with that deck.

Speaker 32913.12s - 2922.42s

We do. They're like, give me some of that. Any, okay, is that it?That was the review. Tell me here. Let's get to the next one.

Speaker 22922.52s - 2922.76s

Okay.

Speaker 32923.38s - 2925.58s

This is Josh PERSON with heartless conscription.

Speaker 22925.88s - 2926.88s

Heartless conscription.

Speaker 32927.04s - 2927.38s

Oh, man.

Speaker 22927.44s - 2929.3s

The art on this looks so fucking sick.

Speaker 32929.9s - 2930.14s

Dang.

Speaker 22930.8s - 2948.66s

Six black black. Ooh. For a sorcery. Exile all creatures. For each card exiled this way. You may play that card for as long as it remains exiled. And mana of any type may be spent to cast that spell. Exile heartless conscription. Holy shit. Rude.

Speaker 32949.26s - 2949.86s

Exile?

Speaker 22951.18s - 2951.96s

Holy shit.

Speaker 32951.96s - 2953.68s

I take it that's gaunty in the background.

Speaker 22953.68s - 2956.42s

Oh yeah. It's gaunty. Like overseeing all.

Speaker 32958.1s - 2982.12s

That's spooky. Do you like this? Do you see this card getting broad adoption? It's my precious. Why do you like this card? And why should we be paying attention to it?Eight manna for a board wipe is a steep cost to pay. But it's exile, dude. I mean a really steep cost to pay. But it's exile. Usually you want your wipes to be as low as possible or to be one-sided.

Speaker 22982.12s - 2995.84s

Everything to be as low as possible, dude? It's true. God damn. In the five to six mana range or one sided with major upside. It's well, I want my car payment to be as low as possible as a non-existent.

Speaker 32997.28s - 3045.98s

Does this hit the mark? I think it falls a bit flat as you will be left with no creatures and have to rebuild like everyone else. Everyone else. Excuse else. Everyone else, excuse me. Worse, if an opponent protects their board with the phasing cards that are all the rage now, you time walked yourself to the late game, a recipe for disaster. Yeah, that's true. Butthis is just one of those cool cards that no one will play, um, of which there are so many these days. I say go for it and I'm going to try. As far as best fits, black ETB decks could get some extra value out of it or I'd go with a deck that produces a ton of mana. Decks with a heavy enchant or artifact focuscould also make do. Be the change you wish to see in the world and play this card. I'm not afraid. Imagine if I smash with this, right? do. Be the change you wish to see in the world and play this card. Dude,

Speaker 23045.98s - 3049.52s

I'm not afraid. Imagine if I smash with this, right?

Speaker 33049.58s - 3051.96s

We smash for eight. Oh, fuck yeah, I exile everything.

Speaker 23052.88s - 3056.68s

And then when turn comes back around, I just recast some of my stuff. Yeah,

Speaker 33056.68s - 3058.24s

I mean, yeah,

Speaker 23058.46s - 3063.7s

absolutely. Some of your shit's now caught in that, like, conscripted, that's exile, dude.

Speaker 03063.82s - 3064.54s

Yeah, exile.

Speaker 43064.7s - 3076.44s

The only one that to reach it is you yeah the phasing is a concern it's a fucking lame concern for for we it's I don't like phasing is like a protection because it's really

Speaker 33076.44s - 3078.34s

just it's difficult to interact with

Speaker 23078.34s - 3080.32s

really annoying like only blue can stop it

Speaker 33080.32s - 3081.94s

indestructible is one thing

Speaker 23081.94s - 3085.08s

but like phasing is come on man yeah because at least this is gonna get around that heroic intervention right it. Indestructible is one thing, but like phasing is come on, man.

Speaker 33085.5s - 3090.34s

Yeah, because at least this is going to get around that heroic intervention, right? But. Yeah,

Speaker 23090.42s - 3091.06s

like fuck you

Speaker 33091.06s - 3092.6s

and your stupid green

Speaker 23092.6s - 3092.96s

counter spell.

Speaker 33092.96s - 3093.1s

Yeah,

Speaker 23093.18s - 3096.64s

they've been holding up that two mana and you're just like, doesn't matter.

Speaker 33096.8s - 3100.5s

Yeah. I like that one.

Speaker 23100.96s - 3104s

I like it too. But they're right. No one's going to play it.

Speaker 33104.48s - 3105.24s

What's the next card? Josh PERSON is continuing on with a hollow marauder. I like it too. But they're right. No one's going to play it. What's the next card?

Speaker 23105.52s - 3108.76s

Josh PERSON is continuing on with a hollow marauder.

Speaker 33109.02s - 3109.98s

Hollow Marauder PRODUCT.

Speaker 23109.98s - 3112.3s

Six in a black.

Speaker 33112.46s - 3114.38s

This spell costs one less to cast

Speaker 23114.38s - 3129.08s

for each creature in your graveyard. It's a Spector Rogue 4-2 with flying. When Hollow Marauder PRODUCT enters the battlefield, any number of target opponents, each discard a card for each of those opponents who didn't discard a card with manna value for a greater draw a card. Huh?

Speaker 33129.36s - 3182.6s

Hmm. Okay. Huh. Huh. Huh. Uh, do you see this card getting broad adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like this card? A great card in black blink and reanimation slash recursion decks. Probably worth running over Cloudblazer PRODUCT, especially if you can guarantee you have a few creatures in yard. Definitely worth it if you enjoybeing a little more creative with your deck building. I think it's likely this card gets you one to two cards. The first go round, probably two to three on the second. This card will swing the game heavy in your favor, mimicking the value the disinformation campaign and invasion of Amunquette FAC bring. Great addition to my Ammanatu PRODUCT deck.I like that. If you're managing to get a few creatures in your yard, you can cast it at a reasonable cost, right?

Speaker 13184.6s - 3185.42s

What's the next one?

Speaker 33186.12s - 3191.36s

Next up, we have hostile investigator from North Dakota GPE.

Speaker 13191.72s - 3194.14s

Hostile investigator. More detectives?

Speaker 33194.84s - 3200.76s

Where are we? Three and a black for a four three. It's an ogre rogue detective.

Speaker 23202.08s - 3206.3s

Because ogres are clearly in the,

Speaker 33206.38s - 3207.7s

you know, they're cerebral types.

Speaker 23207.7s - 3232.28s

Yeah, it's just like, okay, we got to make it an outlaw, so it's got to be a rogue. And then we want it to be a detectivebecause, because of that last set, right? So we got to just kind of, when hostile investigator enters the battlefield, target opponent discards a card. Whenever one or more players discard one or more cards, investigate this ability. Triggers only once each turn. So this is,it's been a while since we've seen a reward like this for discard.

Speaker 33232.5s - 3232.9s

Yeah.

Speaker 23233.04s - 3234.32s

Like a waste knot style thing.

Speaker 33235.7s - 3239.16s

That's a good point. All right. So North Dakota GPE says,

Speaker 13239.16s - 3257.7s

I planted this tree in this guy's ass. Planted this tree in this guy's ass. I'm going to investigate. It's popping out his chest. I know it was in his ass. I'm going to investigate. It's popping out his chest. I know it was in his ass. Started in his ass.Started in his ass. It germinated out of his stomach. North Dakota GPE says it's my precious.

Speaker 33258.12s - 3276.3s

So why do you like this card? This card looks a lot like a card meant for hateful strategies. And its ETB certainly feeds into that idea. However, hostile investigator can act as so much more than just a value engine in a tiny bones deck. I'm listening.Do your opponents use looting effects often? Question mark.

Speaker 43277.58s - 3278.62s

Andy PERSON, do you care?

Speaker 33278.78s - 3279.78s

No, I'm just...

Speaker 43279.78s - 3283.3s

Anytime there's multiple questions, I'm going to do that now.

Speaker 03283.3s - 3284.66s

You're just going to go, do you care?

Speaker 33286.62s - 3287.44s

I love it.

Speaker 23287.74s - 3289.22s

That sees how a lot of these are written, right?

Speaker 03289.32s - 3292.1s

But it's a good way to, it's a good way to...

Speaker 23292.1s - 3292.84s

It's a good setup.

Speaker 33293.04s - 3294.78s

Yeah, it's a good way to, like, advertise a card

Speaker 23294.78s - 3296.48s

because it gets people really thinking, like,

Speaker 03296.9s - 3298.54s

does this matter to you? Do you care?

Speaker 33298.82s - 3326.24s

Yeah, do you care? I love it. Do they draw so many cards that they have to discard to hand size at the end of turn? This orc rogue detective sees all of thatand even sees you doing it yourself. If you see that kind of gameplay in your play group or you yourself tend to rely on looting to get through your deck, pick up a copy and see how it performs.I like that. So do I. What's the next one, baby?

Speaker 23326.96s - 3348.64s

Patrick Roberts PERSON is hitting us with insatiable avarice. It's on this one pretty wild too. Okay, it's another spree card, guys. It's black spree. You can do the plus two. All right.Search your library for a card, then shuffle it and put that card on top. And then you can pay plus black black, target player draws three cards and loses three life. Hmm.

Speaker 43348.92s - 3349.2s

Huh.

Speaker 23350.48s - 3356.66s

Okay. Okay. See, this would, okay, this actually would be great for us, this card.

Speaker 43357.06s - 3361.46s

So when we're playing in church, it's only, it's only to draw three, lose three.

Speaker 03361.58s - 3365.08s

But if you play with others. But if you play for others,

Speaker 23366.14s - 3371.1s

you can flex it up. That's actually a really good point. We don't have to freaking guess shit in when we play with other people that like tutors.

Speaker 33371.4s - 3373.66s

And that's a solid draw, right?

Speaker 23373.82s - 3379.2s

Oh, yeah. Like black, black, black for draw three loose three? That's solid. All right.

Speaker 33379.38s - 3393.08s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like this card? Three mana, draw three and lose three. Great rate. Three mana unrestricted tutor to the top of your deck. Not amazing outside of top deck matters,

Speaker 13393.08s - 3400.32s

but it's serviceable. Those effects combined for five mana really good. Oh, and you can just

Speaker 33400.32s - 3405.28s

choose one mode. So it's even better. And every now and then, you'll be able to kill someone

Speaker 23405.28s - 3411.26s

who's at three life. Not much to say except... It's happened. New staple. It's happened. Oh,

Speaker 43411.26s - 3418.46s

absolutely. I only had a lightning bolt. Absolutely. Nice. Uh, yeah, well pointed out card. I like that one.

Speaker 23419.82s - 3425.04s

What's the next one? Uh, Stormy PERSON is surfacing again with lively dirge.

Speaker 33425.18s - 3426.2s

Speaking of tutors,

Speaker 23426.64s - 3443.62s

one in a black for a sorcery, spree, search your library for a card, put it in the graveyard, then shuffle. You can do a plus two. Return up to two target, two creature cardswith total mana value of four or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. This is another one that would be pretty flexy for us, right?

Speaker 33444.34s - 3537.86s

That is four mana to get two. That four mana is good enough. Yeah. Total mana value four or less. Yeah. Pretty good.Okay. Okay. So, do you see this getting brought into option? No, but it should. Why do you like this card? Depicting the moment in the story with Giza PERSON accidentally attacks a train too early with an army of zombies. It's because she's fucking fighting with her brotherand she's got to like flex. See a fucking awesome girl. Fucking girl, you little bitch. That's what she sounds like too. That is what she sounds like a little bit constipated.Like she's been just not munching on much fiber. This card rules. At its worst, it's a three-manus sorcery speed in Tomb FAC, which honestly, still not bad.Just to step up from that is reanimates a couple of creatures. A three-manna commander and a one-manna value piece, maybe a couple two drops. Whatever the case, four mana for two bodies is good value. And at its best,it's a five mana in Tomb FAC plus reanimate, whatever creature you just tutored and something else in your yard you could possibly need right now, or right now. More often than not, final parting is either getting me a reanimation spell and a value creature or a gony to go with value creature I have at my disposal. Now this card just does both.Side note, would this card even be allowed in your meta? Good question. I think Andy PERSON just illustrated.

Speaker 23537.86s - 3539.7s

Is stormy like fucking hang out in this room?

Speaker 33539.94s - 3541.32s

I know, right? Type these as we do this?

Speaker 23542.78s - 3547.52s

Yes, it would be allowed. You just wouldn't be allowed to do that first mode.

Speaker 33547.52s - 3553.94s

Yeah, so as an example, I've used Sterling Grove PRODUCT in our group with no tutors just for the protection.

Speaker 23554.14s - 3554.34s

Yeah.

Speaker 33554.42s - 3557.14s

I have used it to not tutor.

Speaker 23557.28s - 3558.98s

We used to use the goblin engineer

Speaker 33558.98s - 3560.7s

for the reanimation for the artifact,

Speaker 23561.08s - 3563.32s

but just to weld things back in.

Speaker 33563.52s - 3566s

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right.

Speaker 03566.08s - 3568.88s

Josh is getting us with Arachi Sol Reaver PRODUCT.

Speaker 23569.44s - 3570.88s

Rochi Sol Reaver PRODUCT.

Speaker 03571.06s - 3572.38s

Oh, this card is...

Speaker 23572.38s - 3582.38s

I died to this card. Five and a black with the ninjitsu cost of three in a black. It's a five, four. You guessed it. Ninja, Rogue Snake.

Speaker 33583.1s - 3584.56s

Oh, at least that makes a little sense.

Speaker 23584.56s - 3591.6s

When one or more creatures, you control deal combat damage to a player, create a treasure token, and, rogue snake. Whenever one or more creatures, you control deal combat damage to a player, create a treasure token, and manifest the top card of that player's library.

Speaker 33591.96s - 3609.92s

Ooh. Pretty good. All right. Josh PERSON says absolutely this is going to see broad adoption. Why do you like this card? As much as I dislike the aesthetic of this set, I have to admit, they are making a lot of really cool cards. This one is a mix of an all-time favorite in thieving amalgam and grim

Speaker 03609.92s - 3612.5s

hireling. Thieving amalgam

Speaker 43612.5s - 3614.1s

was always too much

Speaker 03614.1s - 3615.86s

mana, and this one comes in

Speaker 43615.86s - 3617.96s

at one less, and the ability to

Speaker 03617.96s - 3633.88s

come down at four mana with the ninjitsu. I really like this card in Thales PERSON, who makes evasive bodies for your tokening efforts, but slots into any black deck with some low-to-the-ground evasive creatureslike Karazakar or Gix. Yeah.

Speaker 33634.12s - 3652.54s

Can also work in ETB decks to recapture an ETB effect while giving you the mana to do so. In a perfect scenario, if you have three creature attacks and a hit ninjitsu this in, then itessentially only costs one mana. Awesome card. Nice. I like that.

Speaker 23653.82s - 3656.02s

Pretty cool. What's the

Speaker 33656.02s - 3658.1s

next one? Pidiless carnage

Speaker 23658.1s - 3660.08s

coming from Stormy PERSON. Pitiless carnage

Speaker 33660.08s - 3662.68s

is art. It's RKF, everybody.

Speaker 23663.28s - 3675.98s

Three in a black for a sorcery sacrifice any number of permanence you control, then draw that many cards. Or you can plot it for one black black. So it's like what is that, reprocess. Is that what that's

Speaker 33675.98s - 3681.92s

called? Oh yeah. Bantu. Oh yeah, you could do the Bantu thing. But the plot is just like

Speaker 23681.92s - 3686.48s

when you're ready to do it, you just do it. Shoot it. Shoot the J. Shoot it.

Speaker 33686.6s - 3687.62s

Shoot the J.

Speaker 23688.62s - 3689.66s

Let's have pancakes.

Speaker 33690.66s - 3758.74s

Do you see this card getting brought adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like it? Reprocess is an insane magic card in this current world of junk tokens, not actual junk tokens, but sometimes actual junk tokens, uh, laying around everywhere.Just ditch them all for a card each. And if that card is good, this one should be better, right? For either an easier mana cost than reprocess now or three manna on a previous turn to cast it for free now. For free, now you get a spell that is not just limited to artifacts, creatures, and lands, but lets you sack any permanent for additional value. It's cards like these that make these of my black decks often end up winning off of. Seriously consider running this. I also just want toquick touch, or just want to take a quick touch on plot. I think it's a fun, interesting mind game of a mechanic. This card in particular is an effect my play group knows well as the wind condition in many of my decks. And plotting it for all to see it coming might change people's play patterns.

Speaker 43759.9s - 3768.1s

If they know this is the card I aim to use to win the game, they might hold interaction back for it rather than the other threats.

Speaker 33768.22s - 3796.06s

I casually play while this remains plotted. I look forward to experimenting with this mechanic more. That's a good point. Like, how can you affect people's play when they know something's coming? All right. You ready for the next one? Yeah. That was a cool one. I like that one. All right. Lenny has got Raven of Fell Omen's PRODUCT.

Speaker 23797.9s - 3814.24s

Raven of Fell Omen. One in a black for a one, two, flying. Whenever you commit a crime, each opponent loses one life and you gain one life. This ability only triggers once each turn. I already know where this is going. Let me grab that.

Speaker 33815.88s - 3827.14s

This is a four-word review. The answer to the multiple choices longer because Lenny PERSON says it's my precious. I think Andy PERSON does too. Why do you like this card and why should we be paying attention to it? Athrios ORG is a crime.

Speaker 23827.38s - 3830.88s

Yep. There it is. It's all I care about. Thanks.

Speaker 33830.88s - 3836.78s

Nailed it. Andy PERSON's literally adding to cart right now.

Speaker 23836.78s - 3837.4s

Yeah, it's all right.

Speaker 33837.8s - 3855.98s

The minute I saw that everyone loses one life and it's flying, I'm like, I'm done. He's like, done, done. Grabbing it. Done.Grabbing it. All right. Our last review for black that we have is from Josh PERSON, who's going to close out the color for us with Tiny Bones PERSON joins up. Tiny Bones PERSON joins up.

Speaker 23856.86s - 3880.1s

Got to get past the actual. Yeah, okay, here we go. Tiny Bone joins up. It's a one-manna legendary enchantment when Tiny Bones PERSON joins up. God damn And enters the battlefield Any number of target players each discard a card Whenever a legendary creature enters a battlefield under your controlAny number of target players each mill a card and lose one life Wow

Speaker 33880.1s - 3880.6s

Huh

Speaker 23880.6s - 3882.08s

Okay, interesting

Speaker 33882.08s - 3884.3s

Huh, interesting

Speaker 23884.3s - 3885.5s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? It's my precious, so probably only me and my Huh. Okay. Interesting. Huh. Interesting.

Speaker 33887.56s - 3922.26s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? It's my precious. So probably only me and my alter ego. We're going to use it. Why do you like this card? Very solid card. I know many people don't like this card. But when it comes to low-man-blink targets, these and two-man-creatures are probably the most powerful options. This and Hopeless Nightmare PRODUCT add a little damage on top of it, allowing you to kill the table if you get infinite blinks. You will need a legendary creature to blink in this case, however. These ETB discard effects is one of the reasons why you would go for black in your blink deck slots like in my Aminatu PRODUCT list.

Speaker 43922.9s - 3925.96s

Also fits well with the new Absan PRODUCT enchantment lists

Speaker 33925.96s - 3945.04s

who like to make copies of it or in sack and bring enchant's back. They've also been taking a new route with these cards where you get to choose any number of players so you don't have to hurt the one person falling behind. You should, but you don't have to.I like that.

Speaker 03947.14s - 3948.34s

I have a black card.

Speaker 33949.3s - 3950.26s

Give it to me, dude.

Speaker 03953.84s - 3957.68s

What's the worst part about seeing Ellish Norn 1.0 PRODUCT hit?

Speaker 13958.4s - 3961.34s

Is it the plus two on my side, or is it the negative two on yours?

Speaker 23962.46s - 3964.26s

I mean, it's the negative two on mine.

Speaker 33964.38s - 3964.62s

Yeah.

Speaker 23965.56s - 3982.34s

Yeah. Yeah. Harvester of Misery, three black, black for a five, four creature spirit, menace. When Harvester of Misery PRODUCT enters the battlefield, other creatures get negative two, negative two, until end of turn. But you can pay one in a black to discard the harvester of misery. Target creature gets negative two, negative two, negative two until end of turn.

Speaker 33983.8s - 3984.28s

Yeah.

Speaker 23984.4s - 3985.52s

It's just enough.

Speaker 33986.44s - 3988s

Yeah, I just like

Speaker 23988s - 3999.58s

putting things in the yard to reanimate them. So you could for 3 mana, give one thing negative 4, negative 4 if you read, you know, ditch this, reanimate it.

Speaker 03999.7s - 4001.94s

Yeah. And that thing kind of got caught between the two of them.

Speaker 34002.12s - 4003.3s

Oh yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 24003.56s - 4004.5s

I'm pretty into this one.

Speaker 34005.34s - 4006.12s

Pretty into it.

Speaker 24006.18s - 4010.36s

That's hot. Because like massacre worm does pretty good work in our meta.

Speaker 34012.36s - 4018.94s

I like massacre worm as an opponent because it's, it has this moment where you're like, oh, shit.

Speaker 24019.38s - 4021.6s

And then it's watching you the rest of the game too.

Speaker 34021.6s - 4030.04s

You kind of got to dance around the life loss that comes with the massacre. Right. Yeah. I like this for just a little less. then you kind of got to you the rest of the game too. You kind of got to dance around the life loss that comes with the massacre. Right. Yeah. I like this for just a little less.

Speaker 24032.32s - 4033.58s

Yeah, that's the only one that I was thinking about. I'm pretty into that.

Speaker 34033.96s - 4041.94s

All right. Let me get the filter adjusted. I should have been doing that while you were talking about that card. On to red, right?

Speaker 44042.44s - 4044.6s

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 34045.26s - 4051.38s

All right. Next up, we have North Dakota GPE giving us embrace the unknown.

Speaker 24053.28s - 4075.44s

Embrace the unknown. Two in a red for a sorcery. Exile the top two cards of your library until the end of your next turn. You may play those cards. Retrace. Oh, shit.Ooh. To remind, you may cast this card from your graveyard by discarding land card in addition to paying its other costs. Retrace is so good, dude. This is so good. You exile if you do the

Speaker 34075.44s - 4080.92s

retrace, right? Nah. You don't. I always confuse that with retrace. Yeah. You can keep doing it

Speaker 24080.92s - 4087.26s

if you can meet the... That's what's so hot about retrace. That's right. It's like an enchantment in your graveyard that says,

Speaker 34087.36s - 4088.74s

Hey, just discard a card, get it again.

Speaker 24089.04s - 4090.18s

You didn't want to land.

Speaker 34090.24s - 4092.1s

Are you getting enough?

Speaker 24092.3s - 4092.66s

Yeah.

Speaker 34092.66s - 4098.22s

Yeah. Like, I've been using Una's grace like more and more. Oh, yeah. Just to get rid of lands. Yeah.

Speaker 24098.34s - 4099.54s

And have spell triggers.

Speaker 34099.66s - 4109.44s

Like, you got to have a good reason. Sure. Like, you need a few axes that are meeting that. Right. So if you're in like a spell slingery list, it makes sense to recapture it.

Speaker 24109.62s - 4109.76s

Yeah.

Speaker 34109.76s - 4109.78s

Yeah.

Speaker 24110.26s - 4110.84s

All right.

Speaker 34110.88s - 4142s

On to the review. Do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like this card? Reckless Impulse and Rens Resolve PRODUCT have already secured themselves spots as staple card advantage options in various red decks, especially ones that care about casting from exile. Embrace the unknown, while one manna more expensive, has a very important ability word that is relatively unused these days and honestly quite underrated retrace. Being able to recast this card from your graveyard at the cost of a land

Speaker 04142s - 4145.94s

from your hand is huge. It's a good fucking call. And can even act

Speaker 34145.94s - 4165.04s

as an upside in the right deck. Maybe you're playing it in Faldorn FAC, where Green PRODUCT allows you to get your land back. Maybe you're, maybe you have Enti PRODUCT on the field and get an extra exile, draw off of a trigger.Maybe you're running other varieties of discard synergies such as containment construct, currency converter, or the Raven Man PRODUCT.

Speaker 44165.44s - 4171.1s

Whatever the case, a repeatable form of card advantage will never steer you wrong in your deck

Speaker 34171.1s - 4185.26s

building. And I can't recommend it enough. Assuming this does not get a reprint outside of a commander product soon, I can see this card skyrocketing once it gets recognized for its potential. Keep an eye on it. Yeah, I would agree.

Speaker 24185.44s - 4194.78s

Seems pretty good. Seems pretty darn nice. Pretty, pretty darn nice. Pretty darn good. Pretty good. What's the next one?

Speaker 34194.94s - 4197.82s

This is generous plunderer coming from Riley PERSON.

Speaker 24198.52s - 4210.58s

So one in a red for a creature, or, sorry, human rogue for a two-two menace. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may create a treasure token. When you do, target opponent createsa tapped treasure token.

Speaker 44211.38s - 4212.6s

When generous plunder

Speaker 24212.6s - 4217.06s

attacks, it deals damage to the defending player equal the number of artifacts they control.

Speaker 04217.18s - 4223.04s

Well, hello. That's a, that's new. Well, hello. How do I feel about this?

Speaker 34223.5s - 4230.92s

I love it. I'm going to put it in my decks. I feel like I use artifacts less than you guys. Yeah.

Speaker 24231.52s - 4232.3s

That's true.

Speaker 34232.9s - 4291.24s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like this card? TLDR, I love red, and this card is an insanely awesome and powerful red manadork. The long version, though, I think this card is extremely insanely awesome and powerful red manna dork. The long version though, I think this card is extremely strong and I've been saying to my playgroup for a long time that treasures being Red ORG's ramp is a lot better than it might seem. Sure, the mana goes away, but with this guy, you're just getting what is essentially a free mana every single turn. Red doesn't need the mana to stick around if it can just use it to perform explosive terms ahead of schedule. And you can always just bank the treasures if you need them for upcoming turns. With his ability giving a mana to one of your other opponents, you can PR him to keep him alive. I'll give you a treasure next. Just keep him around before they realize that your opponents will have let this guy pay for himself and then some before they eventually die to his attack trigger.

Speaker 04291.5s - 4293.06s

Yeah, I think it's good.

Speaker 34293.78s - 4312.26s

This thing I would consider an awesome two-manna dork in red and it doesn't even include the baked-in evasiveness or the fact that it has a pretty strong attack trigger baked in. All that, to not even mention, he causes all kinds of artifact synergy and can feel your own dockside by giving opponents tapped treasure.

Speaker 04312.62s - 4322.08s

That's a good point. Can we not? Also, he has a hat and is a root and tootin out of boot. Nice.

Speaker 24322.8s - 4327.22s

Yeah, this is good. This is cool. is good this is cool pretty good very cool

Speaker 04327.22s - 4334.62s

pretty good uh great train heist coming from patrick roberts ORG spree card uh spree alert

Speaker 24334.62s - 4344.82s

we are having a sail uh it's fire sail it's a red but you can spree with two and a red

Speaker 34344.82s - 4346.54s

untapped all creatures you control.

Speaker 24346.92s - 4348.74s

If it's your combat phase,

Speaker 34349.04s - 4351.22s

there's an additional combat phase

Speaker 24351.22s - 4352.72s

after this phase.

Speaker 34353.12s - 4355.46s

So there's, I think, the big draw right there.

Speaker 04355.5s - 4355.82s

Yeah.

Speaker 24356.2s - 4357.26s

Or you can do two,

Speaker 44358.1s - 4359.58s

or and you can do two more.

Speaker 24359.72s - 4370.98s

Creatures you control get plus one and plus O and gain first strike until end of turn or one more red. Choose target opponent. Whenever a creature you control deals combat 1 and plus O and gain first strike until an end of turn or one more red. Choose target opponent. Whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to that player, create a tapped treasure

Speaker 44370.98s - 4371.48s

token.

Speaker 04371.96s - 4372.4s

Oh.

Speaker 44372.72s - 4376.18s

Yeah, that's pretty fucked.

Speaker 04377.66s - 4377.96s

Yeah.

Speaker 24378.2s - 4379.22s

Okay, I'm into that.

Speaker 34379.98s - 4393.12s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like it? 4Mana is the going rate for extra combats without additional upside. Normally, you pay a little more for some additional upside. And this spell is no different.

Speaker 44393.44s - 4398.12s

The thing that sets this spell apart, though, is it doesn't have to be an extra combat

Speaker 34398.12s - 4398.6s

spell.

Speaker 44399.16s - 4425.64s

It does two other combat related things that are useful on their own. Or, in tandem with each other they get even better being instant speed you can also wait to see what kind of blocks might be offered to see if the spell is favorableto cast and which modes will be worth it. If you have death touch or trample going on it, it gets even better. Great combat oriented card. Pretty hot.

Speaker 34425.98s - 4429.6s

That is fucking hot. God, I love these spree cards, dude.

Speaker 24429.7s - 4435.84s

Yeah, red has got some bangers this set for sure. Seriously. Okay, what's the next one?

Speaker 34436.84s - 4438.48s

North Dakota GPE's hitting us with

Speaker 24438.48s - 4456.52s

highway robbery here. Highway robbery. Didn't we do a train heist? Now we're doing a highway robbery. Another, no, it's not a spree. It just looks like one. It's a plot. One in a red. You may discard a card or sacrifice a land. If you do, draw two cards. And plot is one in a red. Cool.

Speaker 34457.58s - 4489.92s

Do you see this getting broad adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like this card? This is the latest version of tormenting voice that now has three different upsides to it. One, it doesn't discard as a cost,so you don't get to two for one, two for one, when it gets countered. This is a downside for spell copying, but it's not what this is for. Two, you can plot it on turn, turn two, and set yourself up for when you really need it, saving it for, saving it from some hand hate or wheels.I like it.

Speaker 44489.92s - 4504.82s

And then three, you can sacrifice lands to it. When Grace PRODUCT or Erinus, players rejoice. If you play tormenting voice for its base effect, play this instead. Again, not as good if you copy, but excellent otherwise. Nice.

Speaker 14505.72s - 4506.3s

Good advice.

Speaker 34506.66s - 4511.74s

Solid, solid point. What's the next one?

Speaker 14511.96s - 4514.5s

Seth PERSON is giving us return the favor.

Speaker 24515.4s - 4516.7s

Return the favor.

Speaker 34516.86s - 4521.46s

Yeah, this is another pretty good one.

Speaker 24521.64s - 4522.24s

Return the favor.

Speaker 34522.36s - 4523.12s

It's red, red.

Speaker 24524.66s - 4525.9s

Spree plus one,

Speaker 34526.02s - 4527.76s

copy target instant or sorcery spell.

Speaker 24529.16s - 4544.72s

Uh, or sorry, copy target instant spell, sorcery spell, activated ability or triggered ability. You may choose new targets for the copy. Or you can do another red, change the target of targetof target's spell or ability with a single target. Pretty dope. Not too shabby.

Speaker 34545.98s - 4564.06s

Uh, do you see this card getting brought adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like this card? Wild Rickusay got quite the glow up. This thing has a ton of flexibility. Two separate three-manna modesor both modes for four-manna. Red can use this to ramp by copying an opponent's Kodama PRODUCT's reach

Speaker 04564.06s - 4569.08s

or it can be used to redirect a removal spell back at your opponent's creature.

Speaker 44569.56s - 4570.62s

That will show them.

Speaker 04570.62s - 4572.98s

I really like these effects for the costs.

Speaker 44573.22s - 4579.06s

Also, being able to copy a triggered or activated ability seems sneaky strong in the right circumstances.

Speaker 04579.8s - 4598.72s

Someone try to use Etherfux Reservoir PRODUCT to blast you out of the game. Jokes on them when they shoot themselves and potentially another opponent instead uh the possibilities are wide open with this card it's very hot tech and i expect to see it at my table in the future i like it

Speaker 24600.56s - 4608.98s

what's the next one baby next one is coming at us from well the next one is in another color so

Speaker 04608.98s - 4616.68s

if you've got some red cards um you should uh hit us up with those do there's the rodeo pyromancers

Speaker 34616.68s - 4621.72s

i was wondering about this one it's four mana for a three four human murcenary whenever you cast

Speaker 24621.72s - 4625.58s

your first spell each turn add red red.

Speaker 34629.58s - 4629.82s

Oh, that's just a nice little extra buff, right?

Speaker 24632.48s - 4632.58s

Doesn't it seem, it doesn't like no restriction around it?

Speaker 34634.44s - 4635.74s

It's not like, use this to only do X. Yeah, just you get red red red.

Speaker 24636.84s - 4637.92s

That's hot.

Speaker 34638.94s - 4640.74s

Ooh, and it's a common, dude.

Speaker 24641.46s - 4641.84s

Yeah.

Speaker 34642.68s - 4643.12s

Ooh.

Speaker 24645.38s - 4645.84s

Yeah. I'm wondering where to put that one. Yeah. Ooh. Yeah.

Speaker 34646.1s - 4648.08s

I'm wondering where to put that one.

Speaker 24648.4s - 4651.94s

Yeah, that's kind of got my wheels turn in a little bit.

Speaker 34651.94s - 4656.64s

My thing lately is, like, how many game actions can I get in a specific turn?

Speaker 24657.08s - 4660.7s

And, like, this just, uh, stuff like this fuels that.

Speaker 34660.7s - 4661.02s

I would hope.

Speaker 24661.26s - 4667.66s

Yeah, like, lets you just get further, further in. And it hits at the right time to do that, right?

Speaker 34667.7s - 4669.58s

Because as a four drop,

Speaker 24669.94s - 4673.14s

your next turn is all,

Speaker 34673.28s - 4673.68s

like that,

Speaker 24673.68s - 4677.88s

that five mana turn is always a weird moment in time, right?

Speaker 34678.38s - 4680.02s

Because oftentimes you have a spell

Speaker 24680.02s - 4682s

that's not five mana that you want to use,

Speaker 34682.12s - 4683.88s

but you don't have enough mana

Speaker 24683.88s - 4685.88s

to cast a second spell.

Speaker 34686.14s - 4686.5s

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 24687.3s - 4688.44s

Or...

Speaker 34688.44s - 4689.5s

Now it's a...

Speaker 24689.5s - 4690.08s

Yeah, but...

Speaker 34690.08s - 4690.78s

It's a soul ring.

Speaker 24690.94s - 4692.26s

Yeah, now it's not an issue.

Speaker 34692.46s - 4692.76s

Ish.

Speaker 24693.38s - 4693.68s

Ish.

Speaker 34693.68s - 4694.46s

Yeah, kind of.

Speaker 24695.38s - 4696.42s

Uh, Magebane lizard.

Speaker 34696.42s - 4699.58s

One in a red for a one-for-one-four creature lizard.

Speaker 24699.9s - 4701.94s

Whenever a player cast a non-creature spell,

Speaker 34702.02s - 4706.06s

the Mage-Bain lizard deals damage to that player equal to the number

Speaker 24706.06s - 4708.14s

of non-creature spells they've cast this turn.

Speaker 34709.86s - 4711.94s

So it does one, and if they keep going,

Speaker 24712.04s - 4713.66s

then it does two, then it's three.

Speaker 44713.66s - 4715.16s

It's just,

Speaker 24715.7s - 4717.62s

it'll start hurting pretty bad

Speaker 44717.62s - 4718.88s

if people are going to do multiple.

Speaker 34721.06s - 4721.88s

I, I, yeah,

Speaker 24722.12s - 4724.1s

anybody combing, anybody storming,

Speaker 34724.24s - 4728.1s

like, that's... Doesn't that seem pretty okay?

Speaker 24728.28s - 4728.92s

I like it.

Speaker 34729.2s - 4729.46s

All right.

Speaker 24729.88s - 4730.46s

Hell to pay.

Speaker 34730.6s - 4740.68s

X and a red for a sorcery. Hell to pay deals X damage to target creature. Create a number of tapped treasure tokens equal to the amount of excess damage dealt to that creature this way.

Speaker 24741.4s - 4745.32s

So if you like overburn somebody, you get the difference in tapped treasure.

Speaker 34745.82s - 4747.08s

I'm not sure about this one.

Speaker 44747.86s - 4749.1s

I'm kind of on the fence about it.

Speaker 34749.54s - 4751.54s

Well, but it can feed itself, right?

Speaker 44752.22s - 4753.1s

Pay it back later.

Speaker 34753.2s - 4754.62s

They come in tapped, but yeah.

Speaker 44755.54s - 4758.38s

Yeah, because you're like, okay, I'm gonna, yeah.

Speaker 24758.94s - 4760.88s

I want to see this one in action.

Speaker 34761.62s - 4762.62s

I'm thinking Galizeth PERSON.

Speaker 24763.12s - 4764.62s

I like overburn all your guys.

Speaker 34764.76s - 4764.98s

Totally.

Speaker 24764.98s - 4765s

Totally. I make that many treasures. And now you're like, fuck, as soon aseth. I like overburn all your guys. Totally.

Speaker 34765s - 4765.96s

I make that many treasures.

Speaker 24765.96s - 4766.76s

And now you're like,

Speaker 34766.86s - 4768.8s

fuck as soon as you untapsed with all that shit.

Speaker 24769.2s - 4770.4s

That's a pretty good spot.

Speaker 34770.52s - 4772.78s

That's hot is what I'm thinking. That's pretty hot.

Speaker 24772.98s - 4794s

Yeah. So red's got some crazy. Like the hella coarser, two and a red for a four two. Whenever the helic courser attacks while saddled, that's another mechanic we haven't talked about yet. While saddle, exile the top card of your library until end of turn until your next turn you may play that card saddle one okay any number of other creatures other creatures

Speaker 44794s - 4799.44s

you control total power one or more the amount the amount becomes saddled until the end of turn

Speaker 24799.44s - 4806.64s

saddle only is a sorcery okay, I just like incremental stuff like this

Speaker 44806.64s - 4807.7s

where I'm able to pick up

Speaker 24807.7s - 4810.98s

cards and it's until end of next turn. Yeah,

Speaker 34811.04s - 4813.76s

those ones that give you a little bit of time are nice.

Speaker 24813.92s - 4825.64s

Yeah, it doesn't have evasion, but I find lately I just attack the right person. Like, if you're sitting therewith your 4-4 commander, you're not going to block it. It's, you're going to get annoyed. I'm going to get rid of his helo monster.Yeah. Like, I'm not going to give up my commander're going to get annoyed. I'm going to get rid of his helo monster. Yeah.

Speaker 34825.86s - 4829.22s

I'm not going to give up my commander for some uncommon that's in your deck.

Speaker 24829.22s - 4829.38s

Yeah.

Speaker 34830.18s - 4831.7s

It'll be, this one's kind of shitty.

Speaker 24831.9s - 4837.6s

Like, there's two, two tokens and he becomes blocked eventually. Sure. Yeah. Sure. Anyway. Hmm.

Speaker 34837.92s - 4857.46s

Let's move on to Green. All right. We've just got three reviews in green from our Patreon ORG supporters. First up is Outcaster Trailblazer coming from Icy Weiner ORG. Outcat PRODUCT, what is it? Outcaster Trailblazer PRODUCT.

Speaker 24857.96s - 4860.76s

Oh, this is like way down.

Speaker 34860.86s - 4861.92s

I'm like, not even in the right spot.

Speaker 24861.92s - 4862.96s

Yeah, like we're...

Speaker 04862.96s - 4864.8s

All right, outcaster, out...

Speaker 44864.8s - 4865.44s

Oh, wait, there's Outcaster Greenblade. Outcaster like, we're, all right, outcaster, outcaster,

Speaker 14865.44s - 4866.8s

outcaster ORG green blade,

Speaker 44866.8s - 4868.22s

outcaster ORG trailblazer.

Speaker 04868.38s - 4868.96s

Two and a green

Speaker 44868.96s - 4881.9s

for a four to, four two human druid. When outcastle PRODUCT trailblazer enters the battlefield, add one manna of any color. Whenever another creaturewith power four or greater enters a battlefield under your control draw card. Well, there it is. Yeah.

Speaker 24881.96s - 4883.4s

But you can plot two and a green

Speaker 34883.4s - 4888.92s

to plot it so you can cast it at a later date for free. Okay. Yeah. But you can plot two in a green to plot it so you can cast it at a later date for free. Okay.

Speaker 24889.48s - 4891.1s

Pretty fucking good.

Speaker 34891.58s - 4892.3s

That's pretty good.

Speaker 24892.38s - 4895.16s

I dig that. Okay.

Speaker 34895.4s - 4929.62s

So do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like it? Finally, we have a way to ramp and draw cards in green. Yeah.If I must go on, Outcaster Trailblazer PRODUCT is a new spin on Elemental Bond or Garrix PRODUCT, Uprising with multiple upsides. One, you can plot Outcaster Trailblazer PRODUCT to help curve out into a fatty. Two, you can keep her in exileuntil you're ready to play your fatties, keeping her safe from boardwipes. And three, she is a creature, which will further synergize with your creature-based strategies.

Speaker 04931.62s - 4940.2s

Yeah. Pretty dope. More of these options, right? More of these options. All right. Next up we have

Speaker 24940.2s - 4945.18s

Patrick Roberts PERSON giving a smuggler's surprise. This is a green card also? Yes.

Speaker 34945.9s - 4946.66s

Smuggler's surprise.

Speaker 24946.82s - 4947.98s

Oh, yeah, this card's fucked.

Speaker 34948.72s - 4950.98s

Green, for an instant with spree,

Speaker 24951.14s - 4967.88s

you can do green plus two to mill four cards. Then you may put up to two creature cards and or land cards from among the milled cards into your hand, or you can do plus five green or four in a green. You may put up to two creature cardsfrom your hand onto the battlefield. Jesus. This is an instant, by the way. Jesus.

Speaker 04968.08s - 4973.32s

Plus one, creatures you control with power for or greater gain hex-proof and indestructible until end of turn.

Speaker 24973.78s - 4978.3s

How fucking annoying, dude. How annoying this card is.

Speaker 34978.42s - 4980.4s

Yeah, some Trojan horse indeed

Speaker 24980.4s - 4981.76s

with that art, right?

Speaker 34982.72s - 4984.32s

Cowboys in a fucking Trojan horse.

Speaker 24984.32s - 4985.68s

It's just that last mode, dude.

Speaker 34985.78s - 4989.24s

I can't stand green with stuff like this.

Speaker 24989.38s - 4989.98s

I don't know.

Speaker 34990.1s - 5034.26s

Cheating in two creatures from your hand at instant speed is pretty gross. Yeah. Do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like this card or why should we be paying attention? This card is playable in a lot of green decks, absolutely. but probably best in golgari NORP decks that are cheating big creatures in with reanimationuh the first mode is pretty is a pretty good rate by itself if you can mill recur or save a creature um slash land from graveyard hate if you have big creatures like these decks often do that the second mode can cheat them in at instant speed, cheating both mana and time restrictions potentially. Pseudo-haste and some surprise blocks, perhaps, with indestructible sounds fun.

Speaker 25034.88s - 5036.2s

Sounds real fun.

Speaker 35036.28s - 5037.9s

Like most of these spree cards,

Speaker 25037.9s - 5056.54s

I think you'll end up using one or two modes at a time most often, rarely all three at once, but all three of these abilities are useful on their own and all play into one another as well. Great card in the right deck. Seems pretty dang good.Seems pretty dang good. Yeah.

Speaker 35057.44s - 5058.86s

What's the fucking next one?

Speaker 25059.02s - 5059.44s

God damn.

Speaker 35059.94s - 5064.42s

All right, this is the last one we have reviewed by a Patreon ORG supporter in green.

Speaker 25064.72s - 5064.94s

Okay.

Speaker 35065.16s - 5068s

This is North Dakota GPE with voracious varmint.

Speaker 25068.48s - 5081.08s

Veracious varmint. I like that. One in the green for a 2-2 varmint. That's a creature type. With vigilance, pay one sacrifice, voracious varmint, destroy target artifact or enchantment. Oh, cool.

Speaker 35081.62s - 5082.48s

I'm into it.

Speaker 25083.22s - 5084.06s

Sign me up.

Speaker 35088.1s - 5091.8s

Do you like this card or do you see this card getting brought adoption? No, but it should. Why do you like it? This card joins the various

Speaker 25091.8s - 5097.12s

existing versions of this effect, but this one fits the current two best options on,

Speaker 35097.12s - 5104.38s

on rate, uh, kinker bloom and haywire mite. And this is the first in its green colored

Speaker 25104.38s - 5106.86s

ilk to have an actual keyword attached to it.

Speaker 35107.36s - 5109.16s

Play it in your recursive green decks

Speaker 25109.16s - 5110.58s

alongside with the other two

Speaker 35110.58s - 5112.82s

or just try it out in Popper Commander

Speaker 25112.82s - 5115.1s

because this is only the second

Speaker 35115.1s - 5120.6s

of these instant speed creature disenchance we've gotten in green so far. Nice.

Speaker 15124.9s - 5127.44s

Yeah, solid, solid removal.

Speaker 35128.64s - 5132.72s

Do you have some green cards that crossed your...

Speaker 25132.72s - 5185.76s

Vengeful regrowth, six mana for a sorcery, return up to three target land cards from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped. Then create that many 4-2 green plant warrior creature tokens with reachhas flashback of 6 and green green. I don't know how many cards you're getting out of your splendid reclamation. Sometimes it's a lot. Oh, yeah. But I would contend often. It's probably we're on three to four-ish. This is kind of my rate that I've been seeing, splendid reclamations. This gets you gets you up to three. Plus it gives you fucking crazy blockers for your wing race.Four two blockers with reach. People just won't attack into that. I don't think. Not too often. Good point. Seems pretty usefulfor anything that's just moving. Like all those fetchlands come back. They come intact, but damn.

Speaker 35185.88s - 5188.6s

Sure. Take it. It's just like, great. They're all back.

Speaker 25188.72s - 5213s

Yeah. That one seemed pretty crazy. I don't know what the community is on this one. The Tower Winder PRODUCT. I just feel like it's... It's two mana for a one-one creature snake with reach and death touch. That's the two things that I think I'm like locked in on.When Tower Winder enters a battlefield search your library and or a graveyard for a card named command tower, reveal it and put it into your hand.

Speaker 35213.36s - 5228.44s

Then shuffle your library. If you search your library this way, then shuffle. Yeah. I don't love that. Yeah, I remember looking at this when it came... It goes to hand.

Speaker 25228.5s - 5237.86s

I get it. It's not like right into battlefield, but it's a fucking one... It's a one-one-reach-death touch. It's a one-one-reach death touch strapped onto this.

Speaker 35237.98s - 5243.58s

Like, this is gonna... You are not gonna be an attractive target until for a while for any meaningful combat. Yeah.

Speaker 25244.9s - 5246.4s

Yeah, I'll just for something that like

Speaker 35246.4s - 5250.56s

put a put a put a land into hand and like yeah that's a good block potentially like

Speaker 25250.56s - 5257.12s

right one of your best land like one of your best lands yeah if you're in a multicolored deck you're

Speaker 35257.12s - 5262s

you're there you're set up absolutely i don't know and if it's already been dealt with somehow

Speaker 25262s - 5267.48s

some way you've milled past it or it was destroyed, you pull it back. Yeah, because it hits the graveyard, right?

Speaker 35267.48s - 5271.14s

Seems, I don't think it's insanely powerful. I don't.

Speaker 05271.26s - 5273.56s

No, but it's some nice utility.

Speaker 25273.9s - 5276.84s

Reached death touch. Like, did that really need to be on that, I guess?

Speaker 35277.02s - 5282.78s

Yeah, I like the art in it too, where it's got these, like, flying things in the background and it's, it's eyeing them, right?

Speaker 25282.86s - 5284.62s

Like, I can, I can bring those down.

Speaker 35286.44s - 5286.66s

Hmm. Yeah. Hmm.

Speaker 05287.42s - 5292.54s

Yeah. Yeah. That was another one I was like when I saw. I was like, what the fuck?

Speaker 35292.54s - 5292.88s

Yeah.

Speaker 05293.08s - 5296.86s

Yeah. What the fuck? We can move on though.

Speaker 35297.48s - 5306.12s

We didn't have any multicol cards reviewed by our Patreon ORG supporters. So if you've got any multicolored ones, not to put you on the spot.

Speaker 15308.24s - 5308.72s

Do?

Speaker 25309.06s - 5310.54s

I do.

Speaker 35310.86s - 5312.02s

I have a few.

Speaker 25313.48s - 5332.6s

There's the Cactus folk sure shot. It's two, a red and a green for a 4-4 with reachand Ward 2. So it's a 4-4-4 with just a bunch of stackness to it. Yeah. At the beginning of combat on your turn, other creatures you control with power four or greater gain trample and haste until end of turn.

Speaker 35333.8s - 5335.4s

That's pretty dope.

Speaker 25336.44s - 5344.1s

Get those big creatures out and they're like, oh, guess what I have? Yeah. Guess what I have, guys. Right?

Speaker 35349.18s - 5349.3s

It's like the people have no business having haste except for Dracuseth PRODUCT.

Speaker 25352.64s - 5352.92s

Now have haste and trample at the beginning of your combat.

Speaker 35353.48s - 5355.6s

That would actually... And this is a Ritchie 4-4 PRODUCT Ward 2?

Speaker 25356.12s - 5358.8s

That would actually be a pretty hot popper commander.

Speaker 35358.8s - 5360.08s

I was about to say that as well.

Speaker 25360.44s - 5360.6s

Yeah.

Speaker 05361.02s - 5363.36s

I think that I think I would agree.

Speaker 25364s - 5364.72s

I think I would agree.

Speaker 35364.72s - 5368.38s

Yeah, because you get some power four creatures in,

Speaker 05368.92s - 5372.44s

that is something available to you in Popper FAC. Yeah.

Speaker 25373.74s - 5375.66s

Pest control, white and a black,

Speaker 35375.78s - 5378.22s

destroy all non-land permanence with man of value one or less.

Speaker 25378.52s - 5391.7s

Or you can cycle it for two. Oh, yeah. It's like just buy treasures Buy buy by all of them Soul ring goes PERSON with it All of it just tears out And if that's not neededRight here and right now You cycle it

Speaker 35391.7s - 5398.92s

I feel like this is a great card No Yeah I mean it's a mythic So it ought to be at least decent

Speaker 25398.92s - 5401.08s

All the tokens that aren't copy tokens

Speaker 35401.08s - 5423.66s

It's just the problem is It's expensive as fuck. It's 1499. I think if you're playing in those colors, it's not uncommon to be in a position where somebody's outpacing you with tokens, right?Like, that feels like a common enough occurrence. I would use that. You would?

Speaker 25423.9s - 5424.12s

Yeah.

Speaker 35424.66s - 5426.72s

Yeah, I'm pretty into that one.

Speaker 25428.18s - 5443.14s

Yeah, my Lysa PRODUCT deck? I would totally take this. Ruthless Lawbringer. One, a white and a black for a three, two. It's for a vampire assassin. When ruthless lawbringer enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice another creature. When you do, destroy target non-land permanent.

Speaker 35443.46s - 5443.94s

Oh.

Speaker 25446.64s - 5451.82s

Yeah. Seems also good. Yeah. It it's any permanent it's a sack outlet yeah so when you want to zone change your thing

Speaker 35451.82s - 5457.14s

you get to you get to do a little bit extra these these i value those type of there was like a spider

Speaker 25457.14s - 5465.1s

like it was like the sky fisher spider that was in golgari NORP it's almost the same idea i thought that was i thought that was good.

Speaker 05465.6s - 5466.3s

I thought that was good.

Speaker 35466.5s - 5471.86s

Yeah, that's pretty hot. Pretty hot tech right there. Kind of niche, but there's definitely a place for that.

Speaker 25472.06s - 5478.56s

Badlands Revival PRODUCT. Three, a black and a green. Return up to one target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. So for five mana.

Speaker 05478.8s - 5480.8s

Return up to one target permanent card

Speaker 35480.8s - 5484.64s

from your graveyard to your hand. For five mana,

Speaker 25484.74s - 5486.06s

you're getting one straight to field,

Speaker 35486.36s - 5498.34s

one permanent to hand. Let's see. There's like an Orzoff PERSON card that's like beacon of something that's five mana to return something to field, I think. Yeah,

Speaker 25498.42s - 5501.3s

there's like death frenzy or something like that. This is just a little

Speaker 35501.3s - 5506.76s

extra value beyond that. It feels like for that manor range, this is some decent value. Oh, it's brought, it's a back for that. It feels like for that manner range, this, this is some, some decent value.

Speaker 25506.76s - 5510.5s

Oh, it's brought, it's back for more. It has the creature fight after the ETB.

Speaker 35510.6s - 5513.64s

It's like a six-manory animation. That's the one I'm thinking about. That's also in Golgari GPE.

Speaker 05513.96s - 5519.06s

But yeah, creatures back, permanent's back. If it's both creatures, you're in a Golgari GPE deck.

Speaker 25519.12s - 5520.44s

I'm sure you're pretty creature-laden.

Speaker 35520.48s - 5520.64s

Yeah.

Speaker 05520.74s - 5521.28s

One's in hand.

Speaker 35521.36s - 5522.58s

One's in battlefield.

Speaker 05522.64s - 5524.68s

That feels like the right cost range for that.

Speaker 35525.18s - 5525.36s

Yeah, straight-to-field is feels like the right cost range for that. Yeah,

Speaker 05525.46s - 5527.92s

straight to field is, is something.

Speaker 35527.92s - 5530.46s

It's not a cheap effect, usually, but yeah.

Speaker 25531.72s - 5533.3s

That little extra is just,

Speaker 35533.38s - 5534.44s

just enough.

Speaker 25534.84s - 5536.84s

Veraska PRODUCT joins up. Mm,

Speaker 35536.98s - 5538.02s

black green,

Speaker 25538.14s - 5539.18s

when Veraska PRODUCT joins up,

Speaker 45539.26s - 5540.02s

enters the battlefield,

Speaker 25540.58s - 5557.26s

put a death touch counter on each creature you control. Whenever a legendary creature you control deals combat damage to a player draw card. What the hell is this doing in Golgari GPE?Whenever legendary creature you control deals combat damage to a player draw card. Like that scalability has been like dropped down quite a bit.

Speaker 45557.5s - 5559s

It's rained in because how many legends

Speaker 25559s - 5562.72s

are you really going to control? But with the too many decks that are running around,

Speaker 15563.5s - 5579.9s

there's just a lot of legendary creatures these days. Like, I'm finding that Honor-worn Shaku PRODUCT and, what is it, the coalition relic, is that what it is? They're just doing more and more workbecause we're putting more commanders in our 99

Speaker 25579.9s - 5581.36s

because they just keep hitting.

Speaker 35581.52s - 5582.4s

How many do we have this?

Speaker 15582.4s - 5584.88s

There were 52 in this.

Speaker 35585.02s - 5598.82s

Yeah, I think a reviewer mentioned that earlier with that. Like, there's just, there's such a high volume of legends available. You probably are just putting a good number of legends in your deck because those are the right cards to put in your deck. Exactly.

Speaker 25599.28s - 5616.22s

I think this is pretty, pretty slick. And they're death touch counters. Like that, that by itself is a two-man away to make all your shit very not into getting attackedand very not into getting blocked. That's, that right there is pretty good. And then if your one commander hits, it's like you put a Phidion eye on that commander.

Speaker 35616.54s - 5621.48s

Oh, yeah. Like they're just connecting because I'm not going to be interested in blocking. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 25621.48s - 5647.74s

This is, okay, you're probably going to think, what the hell, but give me a second. Annie joins up. One is, okay, you're probably going to think, what the hell, but give me a second. Annie PERSON joins up.One, a red, a green, or one, a red, a green and a white. When Annie PERSON joins up, or enters the,I fucking hate this. When Annie PERSON joins up, enters the battlefield, it deals five damage to target creature or planes walkerand opponent controls. Pretty damn good. Yeah. If a triggered ability of a legendary creature, you control triggers, that ability triggers an additional time.

Speaker 35648.3s - 5652.86s

Okay, so we've got to be, at least in NIA. This is where shit like this belongs.

Speaker 25653.16s - 5680.88s

IMO. Not a colorless artifact that just does the thing. Yeah. I've got to be somewhere pretty far out of range. Either it needs to have a lot of pips, like four red pips.Like this is better being a goddamn red deck of your son. Yeah. Or stuff like this where it's like it's, I love this. It's functional. It hits.It removes something. And now it doubles the trigger of your NIA ORG plus commander. Five color is already,

Speaker 45681.12s - 5684.4s

five color already has everything available to it.

Speaker 25684.5s - 5686.42s

So I'm not really, yeah,

Speaker 35686.5s - 5687.12s

don't worry there.

Speaker 25687.22s - 5687.74s

You know what I mean?

Speaker 35688.12s - 5688.34s

Yeah.

Speaker 25688.4s - 5688.58s

Yeah.

Speaker 35688.74s - 5689.2s

I actually,

Speaker 25689.34s - 5689.58s

I mean,

Speaker 35689.62s - 5691.26s

I have a NIA ORG deck that has triggers,

Speaker 25691.42s - 5694.14s

but those triggers wouldn't be valuable with this card.

Speaker 35694.14s - 5695.1s

So I like,

Speaker 25695.34s - 5696.2s

you're pointing out.

Speaker 35696.8s - 5697.44s

It's a niche as hell.

Speaker 25697.64s - 5697.88s

Yeah.

Speaker 45698.04s - 5698.24s

Like,

Speaker 25698.32s - 5705.86s

you're pushing like, you got to find a specific spot to use this. Yeah, I have Rocco Street Chef PRODUCT. This would be really good. Oh, yeah. It's a way for me to remove something. Yeah. And now when anybody does anything, specific spot to use this. Yeah, I have Rocco Street Chef PRODUCT. This would be really good. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 35705.86s - 5712.68s

It's a way for me to remove something. Yeah. And now when anybody does anything, I get to do it twice or whatever. That's a good point.

Speaker 25712.84s - 5714.56s

That's actually pretty hot.

Speaker 35714.68s - 5717.66s

If we really got to double things, let's put it there.

Speaker 25717.66s - 5718.92s

This is where I want them to be.

Speaker 35719.08s - 5726.46s

Not it's three in a white. Yeah. And even it's colorless. Even the three green. Three in a blue. Bro, stop. Even three's colorless. Even the three green... It's three in a blue. Bro, stop.

Speaker 25726.46s - 5733.68s

Even three green pips in green is not hard to achieve once you've gotten to seven manor right. Like, that's...

Speaker 35733.68s - 5742.46s

That one should be like two and five green. Okay. Onto colorless?

Speaker 25742.6s - 5743.2s

Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 35743.28s - 5752.42s

Okay. So we've got some Patreon ORG reviews. Just a couple of them here with colorless cards Yeah, let's do it. Okay, so we've got some Patreon reviews, just a couple of them here with colorless cards. Stormy PERSON's given us bounty board. Bounty board.

Speaker 25753.3s - 5773.92s

It's three mana with an artifact, so it's a manilith, right? It's just only better than a manilith. Three mana artifact, you can tap to add one mana of any color, or you can pay one,put a bounty counter on target creature, activate only as a sorcery. Whenever a, put a bounty counter on target creature, activate only as a sorcery. Whenever a creature with a bounty counter on it dies, each of its controllers opponents, draw a card and gains to life.

Speaker 45774.12s - 5776.3s

It's kind of like Mathis

Speaker 25776.3s - 5778.82s

and what's the other dude?

Speaker 35779s - 5781.1s

Chevel. Oh, that's right. That's right.

Speaker 45781.16s - 5782.48s

They'll be very interested in that.

Speaker 35783.42s - 5784.98s

Are we going to make them viable?

Speaker 25785.76s - 5787.6s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption?

Speaker 35787.8s - 5788.16s

No.

Speaker 25788.62s - 5789.6s

Why do you like this card?

Speaker 35789.88s - 5798.62s

I've got a lot of experience with a Mathis PERSON fiend seeker in my playgroup some time ago. And I've also had experience playing Chevelle PERSON, Bain of Monsters.

Speaker 45798.82s - 5818.86s

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that's so long as more than just you are benefiting from bounty counters, they work. All right. With Mathis PERSON, it being a choice forced upon you, um, every in step was a problem, though. Sometimes having a, having a, having to bounty things that didn't deserve it, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 35819.32s - 5858.54s

Well, now you choose when to post a bounty and if you, and if you even want to. And worst case scenario, it's simply a three-manor rock with fairly decent upside. I don't think it'll see widespread use, but I think it's worth thinking about and seems to be a card that'll continue to stayrelevant as a new bounty counter card sees print every other year. I like these types of cards just to play around when you've got decks that feel a little more casual, right? When you're like,I'm not too worried about pointing out the creatures that need to go and everybody else gets some benefit from it. Yeah.

Speaker 05859.66s - 5860.26s

All right.

Speaker 35860.3s - 5870.72s

That feels fun. All right. The next, so we just had two colorless cards reviewed here. The last one is Seth PERSON, who's giving us lava spur boots.

Speaker 25871.14s - 5873.66s

Oh, these, yeah, people, these are like an earlier leak.

Speaker 15874.04s - 5885.08s

One mana, equipped creature, it's an equipment. Equip creature gets plus one plus oh and has haste and has Ward 1 and it has an equip of one. So really low to the ground, light tinfoil protection.

Speaker 25885.44s - 5886.7s

Just a light tinfoil,

Speaker 35887s - 5888.64s

but haste. Not going for hex-proof,

Speaker 25888.78s - 5890.28s

but that hard. But haste, daddy. Yeah.

Speaker 35890.7s - 5919.86s

Do you see this card getting broad adoption? Absolutely. Why do you like this card? The newest addition to the cardboard footwear familywith haste and some sort of protection has arrived. And with a small power bump to boot, while Ward 1 isn't quite as securing as hex-proof or shroud, the cost to cast and equip these bootiesmake them not too punishing to include in your lists should you need another of these effects. Casting only one mana means that these shoes can be tutored by your Erza Saga

Speaker 15919.86s - 5923.98s

and your trinket mage in a pinch if your little feedies get cold.

Speaker 35924.52s - 5927.14s

Overall, a welcome addition to the format.

Speaker 25927.44s - 5931.74s

I've been into these equipment for Nezahal PERSON.

Speaker 15932.36s - 5932.9s

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 25933s - 5934.84s

Because they're only one mana,

Speaker 35935.2s - 5939.36s

and I know this is very loose, slimy synergy that's pretty far out there,

Speaker 25939.46s - 5943.66s

but I've been running inspiring statuary a lot.

Speaker 35944s - 5944.26s

Yeah.

Speaker 25944.52s - 5946.2s

I know it doesn't help cast the other artifacts,

Speaker 35946.56s - 5951.32s

but all of my equipment become part of Nezahal PERSON's casting cost.

Speaker 45951.4s - 5951.8s

Yeah.

Speaker 35952.4s - 5954.46s

And I already want them out because...

Speaker 45954.46s - 5955s

Yeah, sure.

Speaker 25955.16s - 5956.22s

It wants to wear them.

Speaker 45956.44s - 5957.42s

That's a good point.

Speaker 35957.62s - 5960.1s

It's pretty attractive where if I somehow, some way...

Speaker 25960.1s - 5962.24s

Like, if I never find that inspiring statuary,

Speaker 45962.38s - 5964.3s

I'm fairly happy to have something like this.

Speaker 25964.3s - 5965.08s

Like, haste is good.

Speaker 35965.34s - 5972.44s

Yeah. Haste is valuable. It's a whole turn around the table where you can get what the thing was for if it's, if it's a attacking creature,

Speaker 25972.68s - 5985.6s

without having to just trust that people won't remove it. Like, they needed to tie, they needed to hold back mana if they were going to answer it that turn. And in this case, they have to hold back one additional. Yeah. So, it's true. I like this case, they have to hold back one, one additional. Yeah.

Speaker 35985.8s - 5986.64s

So it's true.

Speaker 25986.68s - 5987.16s

I like it.

Speaker 35987.44s - 5991.76s

That's a good niche little spot. An example where it's truly valuable.

Speaker 25992s - 5992.24s

Yeah.

Speaker 05995.32s - 5995.84s

Uh,

Speaker 35995.84s - 6000.02s

there's a sword, I guess, here, right?

Speaker 06000.16s - 6001.94s

Yes, it's pretty yoked.

Speaker 36002.18s - 6004.28s

It's from their vault thing.

Speaker 26004.52s - 6005.9s

Yeah, sort of wealth and power

Speaker 36005.9s - 6006.66s

for three mana.

Speaker 26007.26s - 6009.36s

Equipment. Equiped creature gets plus two plus two

Speaker 36009.36s - 6023.88s

and has protection from instance and sorceries. Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, create a treasure token when you cast your next instant or sorcery spell this turn, copy that spell. You can choose new targets for the copy and you equip for two.

Speaker 06026.6s - 6033.4s

It's pretty, pretty, we just keep saying it, but it's pretty crazy. It sounds crazy. Pretty good. It's up there on

Speaker 26033.4s - 6040.3s

the swords. Not an next tier sword, but it's probably a tier. It's an eight tier sword.

Speaker 06040.8s - 6044.68s

Pro instance and sorceries. Like, yeah. I mean, hello. Can I help you?

Speaker 26044.78s - 6045.04s

Yeah, seriously. Makes treasure. And so it ramps yeah, I mean, hello, can I help you? Yes,

Speaker 06045.46s - 6045.98s

seriously, right. Makes treasure.

Speaker 26046.14s - 6047.14s

So it ramps you.

Speaker 06047.48s - 6048.42s

I think the best ones are

Speaker 26048.42s - 6051.18s

something that give you core advantage,

Speaker 06051.32s - 6052.16s

draw or ramp.

Speaker 26052.32s - 6052.46s

Like,

Speaker 06052.52s - 6056.88s

that's the best ones. Yes. A lot. And this one does that.

Speaker 26056.92s - 6064.72s

It gives you a treasure. And then if you feel like it, you can fucking brick off with an instant, or twin instant or sorcery. Oh,

Speaker 06066.24s - 6068s

good shit. Transmutation vault font.

Speaker 36068s - 6068.62s

Have you seen this one?

Speaker 06068.88s - 6069.26s

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 36069.3s - 6069.76s

Five mana.

Speaker 26069.88s - 6082.84s

You can tap it to create your choice of a blood token, a clue token or a food token. You can pay three, sacrifice three tokens with different names. Search your library for an artifact card. Put it into the battlefield, then shuffle your library. Activate only as a sorcery.

Speaker 36082.88s - 6085.76s

I think it's worth noting you have to tap for that as well. Correct. And you can only do only as a sorcery. I think it's worth noting you have to tap for that as well.

Speaker 26085.86s - 6092.26s

Correct. And you can only do it as a sorcery. But as you travel around the table with your unwinding clock, by the time we get to your turn,

Speaker 06092.44s - 6094.88s

you now activate the font

Speaker 36094.88s - 6097.02s

and you grab your best equipment.

Speaker 26098.38s - 6098.86s

That's...

Speaker 06098.86s - 6100s

Or grab best...

Speaker 36100s - 6100.7s

Next artifact.

Speaker 06100.7s - 6102.08s

Yeah, next artifact you want to use.

Speaker 36102.08s - 6103.06s

We just keep doing it.

Speaker 06103.36s - 6104.58s

Yeah, every time around the table.

Speaker 36105.1s - 6105.52s

Pretty God. Ooh. S artifact. We just keep doing it. Yeah, every time around the table. Pretty God.

Speaker 16106.36s - 6106.68s

Ooh.

Speaker 36107.08s - 6109.36s

Svella, just sacrifice three.

Speaker 16109.6s - 6110.78s

Well, they have to be different names.

Speaker 26110.94s - 6118.68s

So you got to do the blood, the clue, the food. They, they rein that in. But, you know, you can do maybe two. Yeah.

Speaker 36118.68s - 6125.18s

And if you've got the, the, the is the rector, the Costco ORG, right?

Speaker 26125.26s - 6127.98s

Like you can. Yeah, Academy Manufacture ORG.

Speaker 36128.02s - 6131.54s

Yeah, the manufacturer. That's right. You're there.

Speaker 26131.96s - 6132.1s

Yeah.

Speaker 36132.1s - 6134.24s

You do this once and you're there. Yeah.

Speaker 26134.32s - 6145.42s

So if you, with that unwinding clock, it's like, I've got these and then on your turn I tutor. And then your turn, I get the three. Then my turn I tutor. Like, it could get gross.

Speaker 36145.96s - 6147.28s

Artifacts can. It can.

Speaker 26147.4s - 6150.64s

Yeah. They do when they start seeing each other and like popping off like that.

Speaker 36151.88s - 6154.64s

It's pretty cool. It's pretty cool when that starts happening.

Speaker 26158.72s - 6159.9s

Uh, uh, lands?

Speaker 36160.52s - 6164.28s

Yeah, let me check. I think we do have some lands that we're reviewed. Let me check that review

Speaker 26164.28s - 6165.78s

really quickly. There's a lot of deserette here. Oh, that's true. I think we do have some lands that were reviewed. Let me check that review really quickly.

Speaker 36167.2s - 6167.88s

There's a lot of deseret here.

Speaker 06169.04s - 6169.22s

Oh, that's true.

Speaker 36173.22s - 6179.26s

The deserts thing is becoming increasingly viable, right? Like, I found that out playing Yuma GPE, that there's enough deserts.

Speaker 26179.58s - 6185.08s

There was just one that was covered by our patron supporters, Patreon ORG supporters.

Speaker 36185.4s - 6189.26s

And Jeff is coming at us with Cactus Preserve FAC.

Speaker 26189.52s - 6190.54s

Cactus Preserve FAC.

Speaker 36191.3s - 6192.24s

Where is that?

Speaker 26192.32s - 6193.58s

It's got up near the top.

Speaker 36195.5s - 6196.52s

Am I missing it?

Speaker 06196.58s - 6197.72s

Actually, yeah, where is it?

Speaker 26198.08s - 6200.68s

I'm looking at Cresote Heath, but I don't see Cactus Preserve FAC.

Speaker 06200.68s - 6201.16s

Okay.

Speaker 26201.28s - 6202.46s

So this is a desert.

Speaker 36203.56s - 6204.76s

Enteres of Battlefield ORG tapped.

Speaker 06204.94s - 6208.48s

Oh, there we go. You tap, add one man of any type of land,

Speaker 36209.44s - 6213.34s

any type that a land you control could produce. Okay. So it has some flexibility,

Speaker 06213.34s - 6216.12s

depending on what you're able to produce. It's kind of like a reflecting pool a little bit.

Speaker 26216.18s - 6220.1s

Yeah. Yeah. Uh, then there's also an activation. You can pay three until end of turn.

Speaker 36220.1s - 6259.16s

Cactus preserve becomes an XX green plant creature, plant creature with reach where X is the greatest man of value among your commanders. It's still a land. Oh, cool. Let's head over and see what Jeff PERSON has to say in the review about this. As far as adoption, doesn't expect it will be broadly adopted, but why they like it, possible, possibly the most efficient manland possible, uh, scaling with the CMC of your commander. A three man a 7-7 in Angry Omnath PRODUCT, a 9-9 in Erdragon, a 1212 in Anami as one.

Speaker 06259.32s - 6259.7s

Right.

Speaker 36259.96s - 6260.26s

Um,

Speaker 06260.26s - 6260.62s

if you're,

Speaker 36260.82s - 6280.42s

if you have basics to spare, maybe give it a try, give it a try also helps that it's, it's also a reflecting pool for mana production. Fun reward for playing a harder to cast commander similar to majestic genesis or stinging study, which I like those cards. Hmm.

Speaker 26282.14s - 6284.42s

For more revolt. Yes.

Speaker 36285.34s - 6287.04s

Tap for a diamond or you can pay three,

Speaker 26287.16s - 6293.46s

discard a card, look at the top X cards, your library where X is the number of artifacts you control. So all the treasures you've been sitting on.

Speaker 46293.64s - 6295.48s

Put one of those cards in your hand

Speaker 26295.48s - 6297.62s

and the rest in the bottom of your library in a random order.

Speaker 36297.66s - 6311.58s

That's some pretty solid land mana advantage, right? Because I think a lot of people use war room, but God, this, if you're doing artifacts in any way, shape, or form, this thing. Yeah. I imagine this one is not a cheap card.

Speaker 26311.7s - 6316.38s

I'm going to look it up. For Mari Vault PRODUCT is...

Speaker 16316.38s - 6325.66s

At least 13 depending on the printing. And it's sold the fuck out too. That is a, that is a pretty strong one. Uh, Sandstorm PRODUCT verge. Oh, it's Sandstorm.

Speaker 36325.66s - 6327.02s

Sandstorm.

Speaker 16329s - 6333.8s

Derr PERSON, you never met him, but I had this friend. He was like, he was really into that type of

Speaker 36333.8s - 6339.04s

music back when, you know, that was going on. It was a thing, dude. Like Polk PERSON and Foll.

Speaker 26339.04s - 6342.72s

We were, we were fucking listening. Darrood PRODUCT. I listened to, I listened to, I listened to

Speaker 36342.72s - 6345.58s

to Darud on my Zoom PRODUCT, dude.

Speaker 26346.08s - 6346.72s

Hated.

Speaker 36347.42s - 6347.76s

Hated.

Speaker 26348.52s - 6349.48s

Hated, hated, hated, hated, Hated Sandstorm.

Speaker 36349.66s - 6350.2s

That's fair.

Speaker 26350.38s - 6350.82s

It's hateable.

Speaker 36350.82s - 6352.76s

Everybody liked it. It's fucking hateable.

Speaker 26353.6s - 6360.48s

Anytime it would go off, he's like, oh, it's sandstorm. Like, oh, it's sandstorm. Oh, it's sad storm.

Speaker 46360.48s - 6361.76s

Oh, wait for that drop.

Speaker 36362.02s - 6362.74s

And he wouldn't stop.

Speaker 46362.8s - 6363.96s

He'd do the whole fucking thing.

Speaker 36364.02s - 6381.34s

The whole song is going, oh, and it's not a short song. It's not. Oh, it's sandstorm. And he wouldn't stop. He'd do the whole fucking thing. The whole song is going, oh, and it's not a short song. It's not. Oh, it's sad storm. And people just kind of like chilled out and like stopped dancing when they were around. There's another where are they now I want. I want to know what happened to Paul Hokenvold PERSON.Where are they now? That's a good question. I'm going to post Spotify ORG.

Speaker 26382.14s - 6396.78s

But Sandstorm verge, a diamond pay three target creature can't block this turn. Activate only is a sorcery. Have you ever, I feel like I'm gonna post Spotify. But Sandstorm Verge, a diamond, pay three, target creature can't block this turn, activate only as a sorcery. Have you ever, I feel like I'm in situations where I, it's just this one fucking creature that can block me.And I can't end a life over it.

Speaker 36397.12s - 6398.12s

Yeah, like it's a,

Speaker 26398.12s - 6398.66s

too niche.

Speaker 36398.86s - 6399.48s

It's pretty niche.

Speaker 26399.58s - 6403.66s

Well, because there's rogues passage that's four and tap, right. Just flat can't block, yeah.

Speaker 36403.66s - 6418.9s

But like this one, yeah, I feel that. I, you know, I mean, I think in, in Lans PERSON decks, there's definitely room for this guy, right? So you can, you can give it a try and see.

Speaker 46419.36s - 6421.32s

Yeah.

Speaker 36425.12s - 6432.16s

It's kind of like the opposite of the maze, right? Instead of like, we're going to remove that card from combat coming at me, I'm going to remove that creature

Speaker 26432.16s - 6437.58s

from combat so I can come through. Let's say you had this down and all I've got is Gliss of the Trader.

Speaker 46437.7s - 6438.1s

Yeah.

Speaker 36438.2s - 6443.14s

That's not good for Andy PERSON. Yeah. And you come at me with the Ricksmithies. Fuck.

Speaker 46443.58s - 6446.82s

Or my stupid windy snake that grabbed my cantile.

Speaker 26446.92s - 6448.88s

That's right. I don't know.

Speaker 46449.5s - 6464.62s

Okay, okay. Tarnation Vista PRODUCT. Tarnation Vista PRODUCT enters the battlefield tapped. As it enters, choose a color. Add one mana of the chosen color. Or you can pay one tap for each color among monocolored permanence you control.Add one mana of that color. Does that sound familiar to you?

Speaker 36464.9s - 6468.08s

I do believe I recognize

Speaker 26468.08s - 6473.48s

that. Yeah. A little bit of a mutation on the nyctos shrine ten nix.

Speaker 46474.48s - 6475.4s

Pretty into that.

Speaker 36476.06s - 6478.38s

For each color among monocolored

Speaker 46478.38s - 6480.16s

permanence you control add one mana

Speaker 26480.16s - 6482.14s

of that color. We often just

Speaker 46482.14s - 6484.12s

use monolored permanence outside of like your

Speaker 26484.12s - 6485.46s

command. Yeah, you do not use

Speaker 46485.46s - 6487.36s

multicolored spells as much as you think.

Speaker 26487.46s - 6488.82s

Right, we only had two reviews for them.

Speaker 36489.2s - 6489.42s

Yeah.

Speaker 26489.7s - 6491.42s

So people don't use them.

Speaker 36491.74s - 6492.18s

They hate them.

Speaker 26493.32s - 6494.92s

Is there any others or is that it?

Speaker 36494.94s - 6519.18s

That's the end. That's the end, dude. That's the fucking EP right there. By the way, Paul Olkenfold PERSON has produced an album. There was one in 2022 called Shine On two years ago. And then when they came out this year, it was Concentrate Mia Dolly remix, but it's like two songs. How much drugs do you think people like, like those DJ type people do in their lifetime?

Speaker 26526.02s - 6527.96s

I would bet that DJs consume less drugs than any other musician. Do you think so? Like, do you think rock stars are just like, they're just doing piles

Speaker 36527.96s - 6530.04s

of Coke PRODUCT and like, DJs

Speaker 26530.04s - 6532.18s

are like, yeah, I don't know. I just want

Speaker 36532.18s - 6535.96s

to stand up here and look cool. I just don't get the sense that you know, right?

Speaker 26536.06s - 6537.98s

They probably don't. Cascades Mormon NORP. How many

Speaker 36537.98s - 6538.82s

drugs is he really doing?

Speaker 26540.82s - 6542.08s

Or he's from Utah GPE at least.

Speaker 36542.16s - 6543.02s

I just assume he's Mormon NORP.

Speaker 26547.04s - 6549.24s

Yeah. People at their shows

Speaker 16549.24s - 6550.42s

are very often

Speaker 36550.42s - 6551.5s

very yeah

Speaker 16551.5s - 6552.98s

that was like Tiff PERSON's

Speaker 36552.98s - 6553.84s

whole thing

Speaker 16553.84s - 6555.18s

like she did like a lot of raving

Speaker 36555.18s - 6557.32s

you don't even listen to this type of music

Speaker 26557.32s - 6558.62s

because it's unlistable

Speaker 36558.62s - 6560.28s

yeah but if you're high

Speaker 26560.28s - 6567.34s

but if you're high yeah you just want to get high on E and be pet like a cat oh dear God okay we're at the bottom now But if you're high, yeah, you just want to get high on E and be pet like a cat.

Speaker 36568.46s - 6570.24s

Oh dear God. Okay, we're at the bottom now.

Speaker 26572.38s - 6572.94s

Yeah, we've gotten through all the coverage of... What do you think?

Speaker 36573.94s - 6580.88s

I really liked, and I share the sentiment of what one of the reviewers said earlier in this review

Speaker 26580.88s - 6581.34s

episode.

Speaker 36581.86s - 6593.66s

I'm not entirely in love with the aesthetic of this set, but I actually think they nailed some of the design here. I'm in love with the spree cards. Flexibility.

Speaker 26594.82s - 6602.2s

We say we like it. We'll see if we mean it. Yeah. Plot is a little heady for my taste to see

Speaker 36602.2s - 6607.14s

too often used, but I do think it's in some interesting design.

Speaker 26607.74s - 6613.78s

I think, yeah, I think what's really valuable about it is the turn you're ready to use the damn thing.

Speaker 36613.94s - 6614.22s

Yeah.

Speaker 26614.4s - 6621.48s

You don't have to pay mana to do it. That I think is, it was called out where, yeah, people can see it from a mile away.

Speaker 06621.56s - 6634.18s

Like that reprocess card. If I have that reprocess card just floating around and I've got a bunch of one-ones just sitting there with my athrios list and, you know, I don't have to pay mana.

Speaker 26634.56s - 6641.42s

As soon as my term begins at sorcery, once I'm able, I can just drop them all, draw that many

Speaker 36641.42s - 6643.34s

cards, point that many triggers at you.

Speaker 26643.62s - 6645.04s

I do think it's pretty cool.

Speaker 36645.04s - 6665.06s

I think it's pretty cool design. Like I said, I just, I don't want to see too much design that's that heady. I'm okay with that from time to time. I do think they did. They nailed a pretty cool spot with that. I don't...The, um, crime... Commit a crime thing

Speaker 46665.06s - 6667.36s

yeah eh yeah

Speaker 36667.36s - 6689.96s

it's I guess it's interesting it seems to have some utility some niche utility like I could take or leave that that effectand then saddle is a little too niche I think for to see too much commander play with that but might come in handy a little bit.Am I missing any new mechanics that came with this?

Speaker 26690.04s - 6694.64s

Yeah, I don't see saddle going that far unless it's something yoked like the Gittrog PRODUCT. Yeah.

Speaker 06694.8s - 6698.92s

Vehicles, it's not directly a vehicle.

Speaker 26699.02s - 6701.32s

It's a creature on its own and it just gets like this bonus.

Speaker 06701.58s - 6701.88s

Sure.

Speaker 46702.52s - 6707.14s

Vehicles are really hard in commander because you're unblocked.

Speaker 26707.14s - 6718.86s

Like you have no way to protect yourself. I think a really good commander would be creatures you control don't tap to crew vehicles.

Speaker 36719.54s - 6727.48s

That would be pretty dope. And then you'd need something else that's more modern, right? Like you need some modern broke-ass ability to hang in Commander. But, yeah.

Speaker 26727.88s - 6735.74s

Like, what happens is you just tap everything the fuck out to get one thing to go out. It's like a, it's a weird card problem.

Speaker 06736.2s - 6757.78s

The saddle, it's like, at least it can block and be part of existing without being saddle. And all you're really doingthe extra tapping for is kind of like a weird convoke. You're convoking it to do the thing that gives the boost. If I'm saddled, I'll do this more. That's really how that looks. Yeah. Yeah. The one I missed was Outlaws PRODUCT. I actually do like the concept

Speaker 36757.78s - 6763.26s

behind Outlaws PRODUCT where you're not. They're batching everybody. Yeah, you're not so constrained by a single

Speaker 26763.26s - 6774.8s

type that you can, like you said, batch like some groups together, which I think adds some breadth that sometimes typal decks struggle with, like some need for some depth.

Speaker 36777.18s - 6778s

I don't know.

Speaker 26778.12s - 6787.36s

Overall, I'm choosing to ignore some of my disdain for the aesthetic existing and magic cards

Speaker 36787.36s - 6794.9s

for the fact that I do think this is actually a pretty well-executed set personally. Yeah.

Speaker 16796.32s - 6798.18s

Aesthetically, I'm actually good with this set.

Speaker 26798.56s - 6801.4s

They threw a cowboy hat at a lot of their problems. Let's be real.

Speaker 36801.4s - 6805.28s

But I think there's some really cool looking stuff.

Speaker 26805.4s - 6805.56s

Yeah,

Speaker 36805.56s - 6811.34s

I mean, like the cactus type implementation is interesting. The landscapes do look interesting. Yeah.

Speaker 26811.6s - 6811.82s

Yeah.

Speaker 36811.94s - 6813.96s

But I just think the way they finally pulled off

Speaker 26813.96s - 6816.86s

like a Western magicy looking thing. It feels like Kaladesh GPE.

Speaker 36817.16s - 6818.76s

It feels like I'm nearby,

Speaker 26820.22s - 6823.74s

Exelon and Kaladesh GPE. It feels like, those, they could all be happening

Speaker 36823.74s - 6829.72s

simultaneously on the same planet and I believe it. That makes up the street. I think they did okay.

Speaker 26830.36s - 6847.02s

I'm actually really not into the batching of... Oh, you're not into it. I don't... I get why they do it, but I don't... It just has a lot of weird design out there that's already supporting assassins.I mean, we're going to get a ton of that from this Assassin's Creed PRODUCT thing. That's true. Some of weird design out there that's already supporting assassins. I mean, we're going to get a ton of that from this Assassin's Creed PRODUCT thing.

Speaker 36847.02s - 6847.56s

That's true.

Speaker 26847.72s - 6861.64s

Some of these types don't really need a lot of extra bolstering. Yeah, like rogues, I don't think needed to be batched. No. Warlocks, because we now do warlocks instead of witches, I guess so needs a batch. Yeah.

Speaker 46862.56s - 6863.7s

Are they going to do it again?

Speaker 26863.78s - 6867.78s

Are they going to do shamans NORP, wizards, and druids? Are they going to do it again are they going to do shamans wizards are they going to get just yeah

Speaker 36867.78s - 6870.12s

get batched underneath

Speaker 26870.12s - 6871.54s

the same bubble

Speaker 36871.54s - 6872.9s

that's a good question

Speaker 26872.9s - 6874.62s

needed but they could

Speaker 36874.62s - 6875.88s

yeah

Speaker 26875.88s - 6877.28s

yeah they just call them

Speaker 36877.28s - 6884.26s

mages that's what they are I don't know what you'd call them spellcasters I don't know what you call them huh yeahthey could just call it

Speaker 26884.26s - 6889.76s

medicine man. Medicine. Wise man. Wise person.

Speaker 36889.8s - 6890.56s

Wise person.

Speaker 26890.72s - 6891.34s

Wise person.

Speaker 36891.5s - 6892.54s

This is wise guy.

Speaker 26894.4s - 6897.26s

Do you have any other thoughts on the set as we wrap this up, man?

Speaker 36897.26s - 6899.04s

I'm good to get away from it now.
