Speaker 40s - 46.32s

Welcome, everybody to another Kings of Anglia ORG fan social. It's me, Roscoe PERSON, as always. We're live on all platforms once again. Thanks for joining us. If you're listening, watching on another day, come and join us live on a Friday night. They get you ready for Town ORG's next game, which is a big one at Hull City ORG. I'm joined by Simon and Bono PERSON, the two fine gentlemen, discuss all things town. And we've got to go over to Simon, first of all. The man who's coming as a sub-insuit, Welshmark ORG wasn't able to join us.So Simon PERSON, got on the phone, went, my friend, I need you, and he's here. How's all things with you, my friend? Yeah, all good.

Speaker 346.38s - 58.8s

You've got to be ready at this stage of the season, Ross. Everybody's needed. You've got to be ready to step up and take your moment when it comes. If there's injury or illness in the camp, you've got to be prepared to make an impact. So, yeah, happy to be here.

Speaker 459.46s - 77.52s

Top man, top man. Yeah, we're talking off there. I'm going to, basically, in the McKenna PERSON role here, bringing in the players, the subs at the right time, and Simon is the man to come in. And we're joined also by good old Bono, Matt PERSON, aka all the nicknames, he's the man with a great hair, great

Speaker 277.52s - 106.44s

shirts. How are you doing, my friend? Hey, Ross. Hey Simon. What's going on? Happy Friday. Are we now officially in the business end of the season, Or was that like two months ago? I'm kind of sad that we're like eight days away from the last game of the season. But you asked a question. And once again, I've not answered it. I'm well. I'm glad it's Friday. Looking forward to a feast of football this weekend.

Speaker 1108.76s - 111.88s

And yeah, shall we... It's Chris McTaggett, Queensland GPE!

Speaker 2112.8s - 116.56s

I won't attempt a Kiwi NORP accent.

Speaker 1117.12s - 118.94s

The fact that there's a guy.

Speaker 2119.24s - 128.44s

No, there is an actor that's got a New Zealand GPE accent. I might have a little thing. I need to practice accents. Anyway, I've made it into the Bono PERSON show already, and that's not why... That accent. I might have a little thing. I need to practice accents. Anyway, I've made it into the Bono PERSON show already, and that's not why people...

Speaker 4128.44s - 129.4s

That's fine, mate, it's fine.

Speaker 0129.56s - 131.66s

But great to have you, my friend.

Speaker 2131.8s - 133.88s

Great to have you, my friend. Great to how one else joining as well.

Speaker 4134.18s - 186.16s

Live. Make sure to get involved in the comments. Share your thoughts or feelings. I know everyone is nervous going into the final three games of the season. But, yeah, it's mad to think that we're at this point in the season already, which, you know, the season like that just goes, isn't it?I was still preparing for the first game of the season and, you know, can't wait for the season as a whole back in the championship. We're now three games to go. Before we get into all that, today is a special day for football shirt Friday, which is obviously a big thing that happens every Friday. A lot of people, you know, share herself with their shirt on, football shirt for the Bobby MooreFarnacor Cancer Research, which is a fantastic charity. And I'm going to ask the boys and ask everyone as well, you know, watching and listening, what was your first ever football shirt? So what can you remember? You know, what was the first little shirt you You know, you were given, you're bought.

Speaker 0186.74s - 189.02s

Obviously, you're wearing the away kit for this season,

Speaker 3189.08s - 190.02s

which looks very good, my friend.

Speaker 0190.76s - 194.58s

Yeah, I mean, coincidentally, my first kit was also an Ipswich ORG away kit,

Speaker 3194.58s - 225.1s

was the burgundy one with sort of black, black blue navy sleeves, and then sort of TXU ORG energy on the front. And I had Bartlett 6 on the back, because that was my age at the time. So that's the first football shot. I kind oflett 6 on the back because that was my age at the time. So that's the first football shot. I kind of ever remember having the pitch of me and my dad. We both got sort of matching shirts for the season. So that was my first football shirt. Yeah, it was a good one. I've bought it since I've become an adult. I found it online and I bought kind of a copy. And like I bought it again because I really like that shit.

Speaker 4226.18s - 252.36s

And of course these days it's so easy to get kits. I think, you know, maybe back in the 90s in 2000, it was, you know, obviously you had club shops and stuff. But now you've got so many, so many retro ones coming out there. And Bodo PERSON, I know you love your football shirts and I've got a lot of people who listen to this. They love their football shirts as well. Mark Wall said mine was the 1981 town home hometown, which is not a bad start. But yeah, can you remember your first shirt? Was it even a town shirt?

Speaker 2255.16s - 354.28s

I think so. I know I had an Arsenal ORG track suit because I, you know, everybody spotted Arsenal when I was at school. So when they won the title in 91, because, you know, everybody spotted Arsenal when I was at school so we when they won the title in 91 because the part of Berries ORG and Evans that I grew up in was a bit of a London overspill still is shout out to the Westbury GPE massive and um yeah I much to my late grandfather who's a Tottenham ORG fan much to his shaggaring I wanted an arsenal track suit to be like all my mates and then my dad said to me you need to really support your local team son or leadslike him and yeah got a town shirt um I got the 90 basically when we got promoted to the premier league that beautiful lace-up efforts with the white sleeves. So, yeah, that was my first town shirt and the first football shirt that I can remember. Although I've got some pictures of me and my primary school goalkeeper kit for when I was about eight as well. That was really tight back then. But, yeah, love football shirts ever since. I did read something about how blokes over the age of 30,that 30 age threshold before you kill people off Ross, how blokes over 30 shouldn't wear football shirts, but I think we should reclaim that as somebody that's well over 30 now. So, yeah, yeah. But there's just so many decent shirts about, yeah, obviously, places like classic football shirts are an absolute mecca, but like the online places. Are we allowed to mention the online places, Ross?

Speaker 1354.84s - 362.02s

Vinted ORG. Vinted is an absolute gold mine because I think there's a lot of jilted lovers that are selling off their ex-boyfriends and ex-husband's shirts.

Speaker 2362.66s - 401.14s

So, yeah, I mean, what I would say to anybody, just to be serious for a moment, is if you are looking at getting a football shirt from somewhere online, always ask for photos of the tags, because it depends how you feel ethically. You know, if you don't mind buying a fake or a kind of new issue one, that's fine, but always get pictures of tax. Because there's loads of videos out there about how you can identify genuine shirts. That's actually how I picked up this one.I asked for photos and stuff, authenticated it. And yeah, grab myself a very rare bargain.

Speaker 4402.16s - 406s

And you are, for the listeners, what shirt are you wearing right now, Bono PERSON?

Speaker 2406.44s - 443.12s

So this is a club Leon from Mexico GPE. I've got their nickname written down, which is Los Panzas Verdes ORG, which is like the greenanimals or something like that. They actually play, they don't play in green and yellow, but their badges, annoyingly, green and yellow. But the the Liga Emeka's, I think it is, in Mexico GPE. Three years ago, they, all the clubs had Luca Libre shirts, so like the Mexican NORP wrestling mask. And if I stand up, you'll see that that's there.

Speaker 0443.22s - 448s

And if I get close, you might be able to see, but it's got a lace-up collar as well, which

Speaker 2448s - 470.94s

is like sewn in. So yeah, once I saw that, I'm like, yeah, buy. And it was like 20 quid. So it's the sort of thing you see on classic football shirts for 200 because they made like 500 of them or something ridiculous and you can only buy them from Mexico GPE. So you can get stuff from people that have been abroad, bought something and then thought,no, I've not worn it, I'll sell it. So, yeah.

Speaker 4471.68s - 513.66s

There is so many people out there who are a massive collector and some people have got unbelievable shirts, which are great to see. My first town shirt was the, basically the 99, 2000s once again the same, you do something, it was an away kit and it was the, yeah, the orange away kit from that season. And I've got a little, a cute picture of me in it, watering some plants. I don't know why. I was taking, a picture of taking me and water some plants in the entry of a shirt. But yeah, that was one of my first ones I remembered, but obviously I've probably had something different town shirts through the years, but I'm so tempted to buy the Fyton ORG's white one. That just looks so good. That is a nice shirt. I'm tempted by that as well.

Speaker 0513.86s - 517.86s

Looks so good. But now we've had some great comments, though. Some of people sharing their

Speaker 4517.86s - 546.78s

different shirts, which is good to see. Charlie, he's had a good one here. His first football shirt was signed by Jim O'Don back in 2009, so not too shabby by that. But yeah, get involved. Yeah, no, it's a big thing out. Every Friday, I know a lot of town fans get involved in it. Football shirt Friday.Obviously, raising some great funds for the Cancer Research ORG, probably more fund as well. So there we go. Now, oh, Simon PERSON has a dog behind him. Dogs come out in the background.

Speaker 3547.36s - 547.82s

Got involved.

Speaker 4547.9s - 550.78s

There you go, I love that. What's the name of dog?

Speaker 3551.4s - 551.94s

Milo PERSON.

Speaker 4552.44s - 553.78s

Oh, I love that. Good on Milo PERSON.

Speaker 3554.32s - 555.48s

Milo PERSON, nice little cameo there.

Speaker 4556.12s - 562.44s

Now, boys, we're going to segue on to season tickets because today the club announced

Speaker 3562.44s - 565.6s

they're sold out for next season already,

Speaker 4565.84s - 566.86s

which is mad.

Speaker 3567.02s - 569.16s

More than 20,000 have been renewed.

Speaker 4570.58s - 574.56s

Obviously, success brings people wanting to go to games.

Speaker 3574.9s - 579.58s

Obviously, this year, pretty much Portland Rose ORG has been to sell out every game, which is great.

Speaker 4580.18s - 595.9s

Simon PERSON, this is not a surprise because, you know, it's the golden ticket right now. People even trying to get just a normal ticket, just a single ticket to one game, it's hard to get. But yeah, this is the thing about it's your town. You know, everyone wants to a piece of the cake because we're doing so well.

Speaker 3596.84s - 661.04s

Yeah, and it's not just the fact we're doing well. It's the fact it's so entertaining to watch and be a part of as well. The fact that you come to Portland Road is sort of averaging four goals a game, pretty much every game throughout the whole course of the season. Obviously, that's both sides, not just talent scoring four goals every game. But it's fun, it's fast flowing. And that's what football is all about. You want to be entertained. It's an entertainment business at the end of the day. And that's the reason why fans are coming back. Obviously, it helps when the team wins as well on top of being entertaining. But, yeah, as you say, it's the golden ticket for that purpose alone, really. It's great to watch, and the team tends to win. And you can't ask for a better kind of mix to entice fans into the ground. And obviously, the club have done a lot of work on matchday experience and all that sort of stuff, which is kind of the extra 1 or 2% on top of that. But the majority of it is to do with the performances on the pitch, which have been excellent from kind of Minute 1 this season and we'll keep people engaged for as long as it carries on like this.

Speaker 4662.46s - 667.84s

Yeah, I think we'll talk it off there as well, Zaliman PERSON, about, you know, when we're in league

Speaker 0667.84s - 670.48s

one and, you know, they weren't selling out as much.

Speaker 3670.72s - 674.18s

And that is probably the best time to get a town ticket, though, was, you know, if you wanted

Speaker 4674.18s - 697.66s

a ticket, you can, you know, not seeing great football or league one, but now, obviously, you probably a lot of town off. I think even yourself, Bonner, you've got seen ticket maybe only a few years back because, you know, you sort you're able to go to games on Saturdays. Obviously, you're renewed yourself, but are you pretty happy that maybe you did get that scene to get a few years back just to, you know, benefit from now, you know, potentiallyPremier League football next season, but also knowing that they're selling out like hotcakes.

Speaker 2698.42s - 764.58s

Yeah, absolutely. It's kind of nice to kind of be part of the journey whilst we're on the upward curve. And, yeah yeah whilst some of us you know haven't you know I wasn't able to commit because of work and you know previously working in in the music industry as well I was pretty busy weekends up and down the country so I don't periodically um get tickets but yeah it's it's it's nice to be part of it. But, you know, we, we welcome all comers. I think there's still a bit of a thing at the moment, isn't there about, you know, there's always that one guy that saw, saw something happen in the 1960s and was in a chicken run standing on a beer crate and all that. And it's like, come on, we're all lipswinswich fans, aren't we, the end of the day? You know, there's so much competition for football clubs isn't there, up and down the country, non-league as well. You know, time, money, they're both finite resources, aren't they? So, yeah, doesn't take much to be kind, does it? Still, if anybody wants my Huddersfield GPE ticket, I can 250 quid, I'll sort you out.

Speaker 4765.82s - 768.66s

I'll watch it in the pub and meet everybody afterwards.

Speaker 2769.3s - 770.28s

Yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 4770.38s - 779.12s

I know a lot of people are probably going to do that. They're going to watch it in the pub and then they'll just come into town and celebrate hopefully what we hope we all dream of. Yeah, Solomon PERSON, take away.

Speaker 3779.9s - 781.46s

No, I was doing fingers crossed.

Speaker 4781.46s - 786.1s

But, yeah, I mean, I think it's, it's, look, I get some people

Speaker 3786.1s - 831s

obviously frustrated because we all support the club. Everyone wants to go to the games, and it's frustrating that the ground isn't big enough at this kind of moment in time. And so that's something the club are looking to sort of look at. But we'd much rather the ground be as it is now with it packed to the rafters i mean i know doing commentary when you sort of were doing it in a half-empty stage and the atmosphere was soflat the football is so far there's just nothing to recommend it and you just you'd much rather the club be in the position it's in now where everybody wants to be there and the atmosphere is just this sort of cauldron of noise and can't see a spare seat in the house it's a it's a much better place for the club to be there and the atmosphere is just this sort of cauldron of noise and can't see a fair seat in the house. It's a much better place for the club to be in. Yeah, I know there's

Speaker 4831s - 875.9s

that talk, you know, about the Cobbolstam ORG potentially getting, you know, revamped and everything of that. Obviously, success, you know, there's going to be more and more people wanting to go. And there's one comment here from Mark Wall PERSON saying, you know, the owners, let me bring it up, the owners will be thinking how we can expand the ground because, yeah, that's the thing. We're going to have to expand it. You're going to get, once again, we've got the new generation of the, you know, yeah, new generation bonnet. We're losing, you know, a lot of young fans because, yeah, you know, dads were saying, you there, it was a bit of a punishment to actually go the town games. Like, dad, do I really have to go? Yes, son, you didn't, you know, do your chores. So you're going to come to watch it's your town. But yeah, now, you know, got so many new town fans coming in because, obviously, they want to be part of this success. Absolutely. Sorry, I'm just, I'm putting the link into

Speaker 2875.9s - 954.8s

my, into the chat. I won't let me post a link to the, to the shirt. Yeah, absolutely. It's great that, you know, I think we've mentioned it before on here, haven't we? How nice is it walking around, you know, I'm in Stowe Market FAC, walk around Stow Market, Barry and Ipswich ORG, for example, and seeing kids in town shirts and not, you know, Man City, Chelsea, Manu ORG, et cetera, et cetera. And that just goes with a whole buzz around the club and the fantastic work that they're doing in the community. Obviously, the foundation of launched something recently.I was lucky enough to be invited to that to the launch last week before last at Portland Road. And yeah, where fans can do a monthly donation for as little as £2.50. So, yeah, it's just great guns isn't it and it's also nice kind of like working in east london like i do i think i'll work with i work with the qpr ORG fan i work with a brighton fan um loads of the clubs loads of the london GPE clubs and they they want to talk to me about ipswich and it's just absolutely fantastic oh what's your boys on tell you lastnight you're all right aren't you and it's like yeah I've kind of been telling you that for a couple of years now um but yeah no it's it's it's awesome we're going good yeah going good indeed

Speaker 4954.8s - 985.28s

and that's a great way to segue onto the next feature for the pod um free words or less and that is basically going to ask both you and and also the lovely people joining us. How are you feeling heading into the final three games to go? Obviously, if town win all those three games, Premier League, baby, we're in the Premier League ORG. Simon, what is your three words or less on how you're feeling? Free games to go, whole city, Coventry and Huddersfield GPE to finish it off. It's going to be interesting three games.

Speaker 3985.88s - 989.88s

Yeah, I think what I'd say at the minute is there's kind of wildly varying confidence.

Speaker 4990.5s - 999.78s

I kind of, from minute to minute, hour to hour, I'm kind of going up and down. I'm thinking, we're definitely going to win all three games. It's going to be like last season. We'll do Barnsley, Peterborough, Exeter GPE.

Speaker 3999.9s - 1019.22s

It'll be three nils and we'll just smash it through it and go up. And then the next day I'll be like, two tough games are, two tough away fixtures in the championship, which we're going to have to take really seriously. And we know McKenna PERSON and the players will do that. But we've got to take the game seriously and make sure we do the work for it as well.

Speaker 41021.54s - 1028.38s

Yeah, it's going to be how are you how's your nerves how's your nerves going to this and watch your three words or less

Speaker 21028.38s - 1076.54s

three words or less we'll start with that full of optimism um Simon PERSON's so nervous he's had to duck out for a little bit um how are my nerves my nerves were right because you know whatthey were kind of welcome back Simon PERSON they were kind of, welcome back, Simon. They were kind of tempered by one of my colleagues, who's a Brighton ORG fan. I know, I watched them last night, and I was kind of texting him saying, you know, what's it like? And he's like, you know what? Careful what you wish for, because whilst the Premier League ORG is great, and it is the promised land, the Championship League is great and it is the promised land the championshipleague is far more pure um you know if you're a bit of a football traditionalist no v a r no yeah yeah

Speaker 41076.54s - 1083.94s

did you see today that the Swedish supporters association well done Sweden GPE love Sweden beautiful

Speaker 21083.94s - 1171.72s

country beautiful people. Very nice cars as well. Having one of those. And yeah, but I guess I'm a little bit nervous, but I kind of thinking to myself, you know, is that a bad thing? But then again, we're too, we're so close. It's literally there's like four or five trains of thought going on isn't there you know a you know nobody nobody um nobody would have predicted i think i've seen that tweet 20 000 times in the last month with the itfc hashtag um and yeah but hey let's seize the opportunity. There's never a good time or a bad time to be promoted back to the Premier League ORG when the stakes are so high if you think it could, you know, potentially like the amount of investment and the legacy that we could createfor this club moving forward in the ground and the facilities. You know, I saw in the week that there were some people questioning some of the Playford Road FAC pictures, weren't they? And it's like, oh, have they gone away? There's a, I don't remember there being a hill in the background. But, yeah, no, I saw somebody from the club this week, actually, and I'm like, you know, those photos? It was Playford Road FAC, wasn't it? It's like, yeah, yeah, I saw the building work, boy. It's all changing. He's getting it all. He ain't going nowhere. He used to see the work he's doing there, boy. So, yeah, that's all the building work, boy. It's all changing. Keir McKenny PERSON's getting it all. He ain't going nowhere. You used to see the work he's doing there, boy. So, yeah, that wasn't my New Zealand GPE accent, by the way.

Speaker 41171.72s - 1172.56s

No, no.

Speaker 21173.06s - 1174.18s

Let's go away from that.

Speaker 01174.24s - 1174.98s

Let's get away from that.

Speaker 41175.28s - 1176.64s

Sweet old Prince, Howard Davis is Jordan PERSON.

Speaker 01176.84s - 1177.28s

Good to see.

Speaker 21177.74s - 1178.6s

Even hats and fedders.

Speaker 01179.1s - 1181.3s

Hansen as well, sweet-ass Prince Harvey Davis PERSON.

Speaker 41182.18s - 1216.56s

But, yeah, three games, boys. We're going to, of course, do a big preview for the whole game shortly. Obviously, we've got some very big positive news, Simon PERSON. Kiran McKenna announced that George Hurst, Wes Burns PERSON, are set to travel the whole city. They're back. They're back on the grass. We sort of knew they were back on the grass before maybe, before a two-week break. But now we know they could be on their way to hole FAC. I think they're actually on the way at hole already. They're probably there, you know, settle down, probably have their nice little even meal. But yeah, George Hurst, Wes Burns PERSON being back, that is big, isn't it?

Speaker 31217.18s - 1223.92s

Yeah, I mean, it's huge at this stage of the season as well. It just gives everybody that little sort of injection that they need and refreshes everybody.

Speaker 41224.12s - 1226.74s

You think, yeah, two key players back just at the right time,

Speaker 31226.8s - 1337.7s

just when you really need everybody to contribute. I know we were talking about before the show about everybody's needed, but it is true this stage of the season. And it's not just the fact that the starting 11 gets a boost of players coming in, but also you think then the depth that we built behind that because of the lights of Hamdi PERSON and more have come in. You add George Hurst PERSON into that kind of striking unit.Players, three very different kind of strikers, you can play all kinds of different styles of play now with the striking unit that we've got. And that's going to be massive for us and sort of wears an Amari PERSON on that right-hand side. Again, similar, but there is a lot of differences between them. And I think the fact that you've got all of those different options now kind of sorted and McKenna PERSON's got a structure, he can basically play whatever game plan he wants to play, rather than just thinking, well, I've only got the certain players that I have. I've now got the options to change it up, mix it up, change the styles, change the personnel. And that's what you need to do at this stage of the season. And those two guys have been, I mean, with the club now for obviously 18 months in Georgia's case, where's longer than that. And McKenna PERSON reallytrust those players. And again, you think to real crunch games, what will the manager turn to? He turns to the players that he knows he can rely on in big moments. And in Hurst and Wes PERSON's case, he knows that those are guys he can rely on. And I don't think it would be any surprise to see. I think probably Wes PERSON probably will start for that reason. I think George probably has been out for too long.I think that would be a real big ask for him to come in after kind of, was it, six months without playing a bit less than that, five months to go into the starting 11. But I think I can see where's coming straight into the starting 11.

Speaker 41338.96s - 1376.28s

Well, it proves once again how the medical team have improved as well. But, you know, back in the day, you know, you'll be lucky to see some players return after their injuries or they just come back. Yeah, they're back on the grass. have, you know, improved as well. But, you know, back in the day, you know, you'll be lucky to see some players return after their injuries or they just come back. Yeah, they're back on the grass. Oh, no, they've had a set back. And sadly, they can't play the rest of the season. But, yeah, Bonner, this is, you know, great news, especially George Hurst PERSON. Well, Wes Burns PERSON obviously is a key part of this team. But I thought when George Hurst got that injury, you know, on boxing day against his former team, it just felt, oh, it was a bit heart-crushing for everyone, really, especially George. But, yeah, he's been a big miss. And obviously, we've signed Kiefer Moore and Ali Ha Hammadi PERSON, but he's been a big miss, George Hurst, and, yeah, big boost for these final three games. Absolutely.

Speaker 21376.84s - 1419.4s

I hate football cliches, but I'm going to say one now, they're like two new signings, aren't they? And also, if they are involved and if Byrne PERSON starts, then I think we need to officially rename the medical team, the miracle team, because the kind of the category of injury that those two boys had. Have you seen George Hearst's PERSON new haircut as well?My goodness. Lock up your daughters, guys, because, you know, that boy. So one of my shout out to Nick in Switzerland GPE, he texted me a picture. And it was just like George Hurston's new haircut, and it was just like four. I think the less said about Wes PERSON's hair,

Speaker 11420.08s - 1424.52s

the better. Must have lost a bet, Wes PERSON. But hey, there you go. I think we've got over that now,

Speaker 21424.52s - 1425s

though, Bono PERSON,

Speaker 41425.06s - 1429.68s

because obviously he did go and score eventually, and we just start winning games again. But there was that.

Speaker 21429.68s - 1430.04s

I haven't.

Speaker 11430.24s - 1433.84s

I haven't, Ross, because I'm growing my hair. Like, Wes Bernsler PERSON, I'm getting a, like,

Speaker 41433.94s - 1435.78s

the pin undercut and everything.

Speaker 21436s - 1438.36s

And he goes and cuts it, like, dumb and dumber.

Speaker 11439.74s - 1440.32s

There you go.

Speaker 21440.4s - 1441.12s

We love him.

Speaker 11441.32s - 1444.06s

And, yeah, if Wes PERSON's dad is watching,

Speaker 21444.52s - 1445.24s

hello, sorry.

Speaker 01446.62s - 1450.56s

Yeah, but no, it's great just to see those pictures of them practicing

Speaker 21450.56s - 1459.24s

in that lovely practice kit. And, yeah, that was, that was, it was sad for George Hears because I had a real good feeling that he was going to absolutely smash Lester as well.

Speaker 01459.98s - 1462.2s

He could start that game really well as well from memory.

Speaker 21462.36s - 1466.3s

It came off to 20 minutes, but I remember him that game he looked really fired, really fit,

Speaker 31466.46s - 1467.14s

and just...

Speaker 21467.14s - 1468.22s

He did. He did.

Speaker 01468.3s - 1472.34s

And I think had Hurst PERSON have been fit,

Speaker 21472.44s - 1473.92s

and I know this is like, you know,

Speaker 01474s - 1476.3s

it's only sensible to make predictions after the event,

Speaker 21476.48s - 1485.28s

but I think, you know, where could we be now had Hurst PERSON have been fit and her burns not get injured? But we know that football doesn't

Speaker 31485.28s - 1489.56s

world like that, does it? So there we go. Well, I mean, it's no surprise that our sort of

Speaker 21489.56s - 1494.28s

stickiest period in that in the season came straight after that injury. And before

Speaker 31494.28s - 1523s

Keefer Moore signed, that was that was when that sort of we drew with Stoke and QPR back to back, didn't score, didn't really look like scoring in either of those games. I think we drew with, drew with West Brougham in there there, and then obviously lost to Preston ORG, which was Keitha PERSON's debut. So you could tell there was a, for a while, just a little bit of a loss of energy of towntrying to find their identity without George Hurst because he's so integral to everything we were doing in terms of playing off of him. Yeah.

Speaker 01523.34s - 1530.68s

He's quite a unique striker in terms of his attributes because he's so fast but so tall and powerful with that good sort of intricate link-up play as well

Speaker 31530.68s - 1558.68s

that we have struggled when he's not been available and ultimately that's why we went into the market to get Keith and Ali PERSON who probably between them form George Hurst PERSON as a collective in terms of attributes. So, yeah, I mean, he could be such a massive player to have, not just for the last three games, but say they do fall short. If we were in a playoff run, having George available for that would be massively important also. Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 21559.2s - 1589s

It'd be interesting to see who starts tomorrow night, 8 o'clock, live on sky. There you go. You want to know something interesting? I was traveling. I was in Islington earlier, and I was traveling back to East London GPE, and there was aconfused lad. It looked like a nice lad. He's confused lad looking at the Jubilee ORG line. I was like, you're right, mate. And he's like, oh, I don't know where I'm going. And I was like, you're right, mate. And he's like, I don't know where I'm going? And I'm like, I was like, where are you from?

Speaker 11589s - 1590.08s

And he's like, I'm from Hull GPE.

Speaker 21590.2s - 1592s

And I'm like, Hull GPE, are you an old fan?

Speaker 11592.04s - 1593.06s

He's like, no, I hate football.

Speaker 21593.16s - 1595.62s

And I'm like, oh, sorry, mate, ignore me.

Speaker 11596.14s - 1598.56s

You are getting on the right train.

Speaker 21598.72s - 1600.86s

Sorry, just waving somebody goodbye.

Speaker 11601.9s - 1602.46s

That's fine.

Speaker 21602.58s - 1602.94s

I like that.

Speaker 41603s - 1649.86s

But now, George Hurst, where's Burns PERSON? Yeah, we'll get on to your predicted lineup shortly, boys, because, yeah, it'd be interesting to see. I can't see George Hurst PERSON,though, and I think that'd be a bit too crazy. But yeah, Wes Burns PERSON could, though, because he's only been injuredfor about a month, isn't he? So he could have been back, you know, sooner than we actually got told as well, you know, you never know. So, yeah, we'll get onto that shortly. But as we got to the sort of midway part of the show, we have a nice little break here, ladies, gentlemen. It's time for the strike, Simon and Bono PERSON to go head to head.Five questions plus a tiebreaker, as always. Obviously, the questions linked to current news and also birthdays this month. It's mad to think it's the end of April already, which is just where is this year gone already? 2024. Stop going so fast.

Speaker 21650.26s - 1651.32s

You know what's even madder?

Speaker 41651.56s - 1658.26s

I'll tell you what's even madder. Frost on the ground and me nearly going top over bottom on the way to the station at quarter past five this morning.

Speaker 21659.44s - 1663.72s

Geez, that was serious. And then at midday, it's like bloody 20 degrees.

Speaker 41664s - 1736.68s

But hey. The morning, it's nippy in the morning. But yeah, when it gets to afternoon, I went for a nice run this afternoon. And I was sweating very, very much. But yeah. What a vision. Yeah, what a vision. Roscoe PERSON sweating after doing a nice little run. But yeah, question one. Segway on to good old Pymn ORG, Bokstein PERSON.Check out my chat with him. He celebrates his birthday this month. And he's got a nice little random fun fact about his town career. Do you know what? He played his first and final town game against the same side. But who was it?Was it Bristol City, Preston or Swansea City ORG? I was trying to think of a question for Pym and I think I've done a few questions on him before on the strike and I was trying to think of something different. I was like, oh, his debut was against this club and his final game for Tam GPE was against this club as well. So I thought, though, as a question. So there we go. Of course, ladies gentlemen, play at home, get involved. He'll be crown champion. Last week, Peachy PERSON won. I actually did say the Peachy, potentially, I could have maybe brought him on for this little section just keep the crown, but maybe that's something we could do next season. You know, someone who wins it. They stay on, basically. It's like the champion stays on until they get kicked off.

Speaker 21737.16s - 1740.62s

Peachy PERSON always wins, because Peachy is the absolute,

Speaker 41741.46s - 1742.94s

is the master.

Speaker 21743.3s - 1745.18s

I think I actually beat Peachichi PERSON last time I was on.

Speaker 31745.3s - 1746.94s

Oh! So.

Speaker 21747.44s - 1750.28s

Check this guy out. If you've been Piji ORG,

Speaker 01750.58s - 1755.7s

then I would say I may as well go home, but I am at home. So, yeah.

Speaker 21757.88s - 1758.54s

You're good.

Speaker 01758.72s - 1759.16s

Well, I see.

Speaker 21760.04s - 1760.56s

Yeah.

Speaker 41761.18s - 1761.68s

Let's see.

Speaker 01761.88s - 1766.06s

What do you reckon, though, boys, Bristol City ORG, Preston or Swansea City?

Speaker 31766.76s - 1767.78s

I said Preston ORG.

Speaker 41768.38s - 1787.76s

Preston ORG. P&E. They're Preston, North End GPE. And it is Preston ORG, actually. It is Preston ORG. So there we go. His debut against Preston ORG, and then obviously it's the final game. It's Preston ORG.I'll quickly find out if there were wins or defeats or a draw maybe. Let me quickly find it. If you care, ladies and there are some people going, I don't care. Get the next question.

Speaker 21788.36s - 1792.46s

Yeah, talk amongst yourselves. Yeah. It was a 2-1 defeat at home.

Speaker 41793s - 1796.84s

Kevin Lisby scored in the second minute and then someone called McKenna, a Preston ORG player

Speaker 01796.84s - 1802.28s

called McKenna scored, the Eichreiser. That's interesting. But that was a 2-1 defeat

Speaker 21802.28s - 1805.54s

and then the game at Deep Dow was a 2-0 defeat.

Speaker 01805.68s - 1807.32s

So two games we lost.

Speaker 41807.48s - 1810.22s

Danny Welbeck scored for Preston ORG in that game.

Speaker 11811.4s - 1817s

He was on Sky the other day. He's got such a strange accent.

Speaker 21818.28s - 1820.52s

Honestly, he said, like, I love accents.

Speaker 11820.66s - 1822.76s

I love linguistics and stuff like that.

Speaker 21822.76s - 1847.5s

And I was looking at my computer, which is on my lap, I was playing football manager, actually. Got a very linguistics and stuff like that. And I was, I was looking at my computer, which is on my lap. I was playing football manager, actually. Got a very good forest green rover saved going on. Anyway, and I thought they had like a Danish NORP, like a Danish international. I thought it was Daniel Agar. And I looked up because they said Danny PERSON. I was like, oh, it's Daniel Agger. I'm like, he's only bloody Danny Welbeck PERSON. I know like he's from Copenhagen GPE.But anyway,

Speaker 41847.98s - 1849.18s

anyway, question two.

Speaker 21849.66s - 1851.12s

Question two, it's 1-1 then.

Speaker 41851.76s - 1854.16s

When two is on Valichetian Shemulikovsky.

Speaker 01854.76s - 1855.5s

He say that.

Speaker 11856.06s - 1857.28s

I say that, no.

Speaker 41858.04s - 1860.32s

Just about it. The Macedonian

Speaker 11860.32s - 1862.02s

Gerard PERSON. Yeah, I remember

Speaker 31862.02s - 1863.28s

those headlines.

Speaker 41863.7s - 1864.28s

They were, yeah.

Speaker 11864.92s - 1866.44s

He celebrates his birthday this month,

Speaker 41866.52s - 1869.86s

and he's now the current director of football at which check

Speaker 11869.86s - 1871.62s

top flight side.

Speaker 41872.36s - 1875.86s

Is it FC Slovakco ORG? Completely bitched that.

Speaker 11876.06s - 1877.24s

I love these, Ross.

Speaker 41877.82s - 1880.5s

Or Victoria Plasin ORG. Pilsen, Plasin ORG.

Speaker 11880.94s - 1885.3s

Pilsen, Ross. Pilsen GPE is where beers from. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 01885.84s - 1887.68s

Not that people from Berries ORG and Edmunds

Speaker 11887.68s - 1889.54s

like to admit that, you know, we did

Speaker 21889.54s - 1892.16s

know how it's the Green King

Speaker 41892.16s - 1893.84s

brewery. Shout out Green King.

Speaker 01894.16s - 1895.6s

Yeah. Other brands are available.

Speaker 41896.24s - 1897.86s

I'm a beer brands. But yeah,

Speaker 01898.02s - 1900.18s

Rleech PERSON is currently the director of football of this, which

Speaker 41900.18s - 1903.42s

check top flight side. Of course, he's a

Speaker 21903.42s - 1910.64s

Macedonian NORP. I think he's born in, what's it called? Yugoslavia GPE, obviously, before that got, you know,

Speaker 41911.08s - 1919.26s

some of the Yugoslavia GPE. Well, I'm making up. No, he was Macedonia GPE. It's always been Macedonia GPE. I'm just making up. I'm just making it as up as it goes. But what's your reckon, boys?

Speaker 31920.48s - 1922.28s

Which is Slavon Liberich PERSON.

Speaker 21922.92s - 1923.24s

Ooh.

Speaker 41924.24s - 1924.78s

Liberich PERSON.

Speaker 21925.22s - 1930.68s

I've had a pen problem, but I'm going F.C. Slovakco ORG.

Speaker 41931.8s - 1950.58s

Slovakco ORG is correct. It is. The FC is Slovak NORP. He actually finished his career there as well. A little fun fact. And funny enough, Sloven Limbrick town played them in the UaFa Cup EVENT.Yeah, it would have been the UAF Cup EVENT back then. I think in the... What's his face Well, yeah, it would have been the UaF Cup back then. I think in the, when under, what's his face? Bad to say that. Joe Royal PERSON, under Joe Royal.

Speaker 21950.94s - 1951.9s

Not Soboe Robson PERSON.

Speaker 01952s - 1953.4s

I was going to say that.

Speaker 21954.2s - 1954.86s

What's his face?

Speaker 41955.12s - 1955.96s

Yeah, just so by Robson.

Speaker 21956s - 1962.06s

But no, Joe Royal PERSON. I think that was actually his first game in charge, if I remember rightly. I'm looking up FC Slovakco ORG.

Speaker 11962.78s - 1964.06s

Yeah, I think it was.

Speaker 21965.1s - 1966.68s

That was his first game in charge.

Speaker 11968.3s - 1970.1s

Would you like to know, oh, let's have a look

Speaker 21970.1s - 1971.2s

what their nickname is.

Speaker 11971.56s - 1972.76s

What's his first game in charge?

Speaker 41973.4s - 1975.04s

Yeah, what's that, Slovakia GPE.

Speaker 11976.62s - 1979.14s

The nickname?

Speaker 21979.14s - 1979.46s

Yeah.

Speaker 41980.4s - 1981.66s

I can't find their nickname.

Speaker 11981.9s - 1984.48s

Not that anybody cares, apart from me.

Speaker 21985.48s - 1986.3s

I don't think they've got one.

Speaker 11986.7s - 1988.16s

Because I'm looking at their Wikipedia page.

Speaker 41988.16s - 1990.12s

I just don't want to, you don't always trust that.

Speaker 21990.82s - 1993.14s

But normally it says nickname, but no.

Speaker 41993.8s - 1996.58s

They founded 1927 if anyone cared.

Speaker 21997.28s - 1998.58s

So that's 2.1 Bono PERSON.

Speaker 41999.4s - 2000.26s

Yes, come on.

Speaker 22000.58s - 2001.18s

2.1. Bono PERSON.

Speaker 42001.36s - 2004.68s

Question three is on John Nolan PERSON.

Speaker 02007.62s - 2007.78s

We celebrate his birthday this month,

Speaker 22011.36s - 2011.44s

currently at Macclesfield ORG, although I don't think he's played recently for them that much,

Speaker 42015.22s - 2020.96s

but he's still there. But yeah, he celebrates his birthday this month. How many goals did John Nolan score for town in 70 games? Obviously, 70 games?

Speaker 22021.2s - 2024.96s

That's amazing got that many. Yeah. I think, obviously,

Speaker 42024.96s - 2026.26s

obviously, a lot of the first, like, a few seasons. Yeah. I bet he... Obviously, he's first belt.

Speaker 22026.5s - 2027.16s

Or his first,

Speaker 42027.26s - 2027.4s

like,

Speaker 12027.46s - 2028.22s

a few seasons.

Speaker 42028.44s - 2028.62s

Obviously,

Speaker 12028.76s - 2029.62s

then he just sort of

Speaker 42029.62s - 2036.54s

got injured, didn't he? Unfortunately, he weren't a bad player. I thought he was not a bad player. Like, there's a few good performances, but then, yeah.

Speaker 22036.64s - 2038.54s

I'm going to get another pen.

Speaker 42038.64s - 2039.92s

Hold on. Okay.

Speaker 22040.52s - 2048.3s

I'll just... This is from hot, this was given to me from somebody that went to Hong Kong GPE. I can see why they gave it to me. Well,

Speaker 42048.32s - 2055.1s

well, Bono PERSON has a little thing there. Let's sort of drag this question out. But yeah, he was a bad player, was he, Simon, John PERSON?

Speaker 32056.02s - 2085.32s

He kind of... I mean, he obviously was part of that big rebuild summer, wasn't he, under Paul Hur PERSON. So, I mean, arguably came at just the wrong time, really, when... Had he been at just the wrong time, really. When had he been in a more functional team, we might have got a bit more out of him. But I remember I was kind of thinking of some of the goal. I remember he scored a header away at West Brom that season when we were relegated and an equaliser there. So, yeah, he was never the same after his injury, was he? I mean, he never really came back from that injury once he got it.

Speaker 42085.62s - 2091.24s

I think he was like, I don't think, I think you didn't really settle here either, because obviously he's more, he's, you know, Merseyside GPE.

Speaker 02092.16s - 2094.9s

So I think he, obviously, he signed the same,

Speaker 42095.24s - 2097.64s

there was a dual, dual signing with Toto and Svalho PERSON.

Speaker 32097.76s - 2101.94s

That was all the, you know, both from signing from Shrewsbury ORG. Quite a lot of money as well, wasn't it, from memory?

Speaker 42102.06s - 2103.82s

It was like a couple million, was it?

Speaker 02104.12s - 2106.76s

Something like that. Yeah. But yeah,

Speaker 42106.76s - 2132.7s

just didn't work out. But, yeah, he's really dropped into a non-league with Maccosfield ORG. I think they're in the,I think they get promoted. I think that's like the seventh tier or something like that. But yeah, John Nolan PERSON. What do you reckon,Bono PERSON? What do you reckon, Simon PERSON then? 70 games. How many goals did he score? If you get a bang on,you get a lot of points. If you get closer, you get the point. What do you reckon? I put four. 12.

Speaker 22133.06s - 2133.62s

12.

Speaker 42134.92s - 2159.22s

I know who's got a bang on, but the correct answer is a nice little round number, actually. It's 10. 10 goals in their 70 games. So Bono does get the points to make it free one, Simon PERSON. Oh, your crown could be over very shortly. You've got two more questions.Question four is on Guran Endor PERSON, who celebrated his birthday recently. I think he turned 40, but...

Speaker 32159.22s - 2159.78s

But did he?

Speaker 42160.26s - 2161.68s

Yeah, that's the big question.

Speaker 22162.06s - 2170s

Because he actually came out, actually, and did like a story about... did like a story about he admitted that 99% of players reduced their age.

Speaker 42170.32s - 2186.46s

I was about to say where he's from, but that is the question. Where was he born? Was he born in which country in Africa LOC? Was it Cameroon, Ghana or Senegal GPE? About to say that, yeah, he said 99% of these players.

Speaker 02188.18s - 2191.28s

Normally I would say the country and I was like, oh no, don't say that.

Speaker 42191.38s - 2194.3s

That will ruin the question straight away. Yeah, Gurandor PERSON.

Speaker 22194.92s - 2195.92s

Guarandor.

Speaker 42196.44s - 2198.2s

Yes, on loan from St. Etienne ORG.

Speaker 22198.38s - 2200.34s

That was such a random thing.

Speaker 42200.84s - 2201.76s

You know what?

Speaker 22201.8s - 2205.94s

I can't wait to get players on loan from, do you remember Jimmy, Jimmy Juan PERSON?

Speaker 32206.32s - 2211.38s

Yeah, from Monaco. That's going to happen. When we're in the Premier League next year, boys,

Speaker 42211.38s - 2217.6s

we're going to get a load of, we're going to get a load of, like, youth players from Dortmund ORG or something sexy like that.

Speaker 32217.84s - 2223s

So we can fall in love with them and never see them again. Yeah, pretty much. Like what's going to happen to Amari PERSON.

Speaker 02223.7s - 2225.44s

Sorry.

Speaker 22226.64s - 2227.22s

But yeah, what do you reckon?

Speaker 02228.94s - 2229.2s

Obviously, Simon PERSON, you need to get this right,

Speaker 22230.5s - 2231.24s

and hopefully Bonner gets it wrong.

Speaker 42231.84s - 2232.36s

I wish I'd be.

Speaker 22232.68s - 2234.2s

Yeah.

Speaker 42235.6s - 2236.12s

Yeah, I put Senegal GPE.

Speaker 22236.48s - 2238s

Senegal GPE.

Speaker 42240.08s - 2240.78s

Ah, he's got a right.

Speaker 32242.6s - 2242.8s

So, yeah, it's 4-2.

Speaker 42243.82s - 2244.4s

Got under question five.

Speaker 32246.18s - 2252.62s

I thought that would be a trick question, Ross. And I tell you for why, because a lot of African NORP players are born in one country and represent another.

Speaker 42253.32s - 2254.76s

There's a few famous ones.

Speaker 32257.52s - 2262.02s

Adabior was born in one country and played for, I think, where his dad was from.

Speaker 42263.1s - 2265.88s

And then a lot of them are actually from France

Speaker 32265.88s - 2268.08s

as well, born in France GPE, African

Speaker 22268.08s - 2269.96s

parentage. Anyway, question five.

Speaker 42270.76s - 2271.92s

Question five is

Speaker 02271.92s - 2274.02s

on Liam Rossini PERSON, obviously, the

Speaker 22274.02s - 2275.94s

manager of Holk City ORG. Had a loan

Speaker 42275.94s - 2277.88s

spell at town back in the 2009,

Speaker 22278s - 2280.1s

10 season, one of Roy Keene's PERSON signings

Speaker 42280.1s - 2299.84s

actually. And yeah, what squad number? Time for a squad number time, Bono PERSON. Simon Mavey PERSON as well. What squad number did Leone Roesnia PERSON have during his loan spell at town? Was it 22, 24or 28? I'm going to quickly find out he stayed. So I think he played regularly. He was on loaned and ready.

Speaker 32300.9s - 2308.92s

He played well for us. I remember him that season. I don't remember his squad number necessarily, but I remember him because he was just a good draw round four-back,

Speaker 42308.96s - 2317.36s

wasn't he quite dynamic getting forward? 31 games he plays, he scored one goal. Who's the goal against?

Speaker 22317.5s - 2320.6s

Because I can't remember. Barnsley ORG. Barnsley ORG.

Speaker 42321.4s - 2323.3s

That could be a future question.

Speaker 22323.6s - 2329.72s

No, no. No, I remember it. No, I remember it. No, I remember it. I'll wait until you use that question in, like, months and maybe years of time.

Speaker 42330.64s - 2338.6s

Liam Rossinius, one go off a town. Who was that against? But yeah. But just to get a point on the board, so on what do you reckon?

Speaker 32339.66s - 2342.52s

28. 28. 1.0.

Speaker 42342.58s - 2349.94s

To make it a four-house, because it means if you get it right, 24. I'm going to quickly actually find out what the answer is, actually.

Speaker 02352.16s - 2353.78s

The correct answer is actually 22.

Speaker 42357.24s - 2360.2s

See, I thought it might be that because I like the fact that reserve right backs

Speaker 02360.2s - 2361.48s

sometimes wear 22,

Speaker 22361.64s - 2363.72s

because right backs are normally two.

Speaker 42365.14s - 2366.26s

But alas not.

Speaker 22366.82s - 2367.68s

No, it isn't.

Speaker 42368.02s - 2369.98s

So, but you have one, no, Bono PERSON, overall.

Speaker 22370.62s - 2373.32s

As always, you've got the question.

Speaker 42373.52s - 2374.1s

A big question.

Speaker 22374.94s - 2375.48s

You get a gamble.

Speaker 42375.8s - 2386.3s

Of course, Gannon responsibly and all that to ours. But, yeah, you're going to give Simon PERSON a chance to steal. Remember that show? Golden Balls WORK_OF_ART, split or still? I don't, actually? I don't actually.

Speaker 32386.78s - 2387.12s

I don't.

Speaker 42387.12s - 2395.4s

I don't know. I totally TV, that. That was great. Good show. What's his face? What's his face? What's his face? The guy who hosted it, the bald guy. I can't remember his name. But I know.

Speaker 22395.5s - 2395.9s

Mettie Boy PERSON.

Speaker 32396.56s - 2397.04s

Maty boy.

Speaker 22397.46s - 2398.56s

What was it, Andy Parsons PERSON?

Speaker 32399.04s - 2399.58s

No, no.

Speaker 42399.62s - 2400.06s

I wasn't it.

Speaker 22400.56s - 2402.94s

I'm going to get up quickly. What's his face?

Speaker 42403.58s - 2408s

Is it Jasper Carrot PERSON? That's the one. Jasper Carrot PERSON, he hosted it.

Speaker 22408.16s - 2409.26s

But yeah, it was a great show.

Speaker 32409.38s - 2422.92s

Basically, you had two people at the end. You had basically, if you want to split the money or if you steal the money. So if you both did steal, you don't get any of it. If you split it, if someone put split, and then someone goes steal, the person who put steel takes all the money.

Speaker 42423.22s - 2426.2s

Yeah, because you have to work together in pairs to build the money through the show

Speaker 32426.2s - 2427.08s

and then at the end,

Speaker 02427.18s - 2428.42s

someone could just steal the whole thing.

Speaker 42428.84s - 2429.62s

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 02429.74s - 2431.02s

There's a famous one, isn't there?

Speaker 32431.1s - 2431.58s

There's, um,

Speaker 42431.82s - 2440.5s

because obviously you talk, don't you have a little chishim-wha and go, yeah, you know, oh, I can put this money to this and blah, blah, and blah. I went, oh, if you do this together, we can split it together. I think this one lady who was like,

Speaker 02440.74s - 2441.3s

he was like,

Speaker 42441.34s - 2454.58s

he was like, yeah, we'll definitely split. And then she was like, lie through her face and she's basically, still. The guy was like, heartbook PERSON, he was like, yeah, we'll definitely split. And then she was like lying through her face. And she was basically still. The guy was like, heartbook PERSON, he was like, bloody hell. You said all this lovely story. But yeah, Bono PERSON, are you going to split or still?

Speaker 22457.88s - 2464.48s

I'm giving Simon PERSON a chance. I'm feeling the pressure because if he beat Peachy PERSON,

Speaker 42464.48s - 2466.9s

then he's kind of like really good. So let's give him a chance. I'm a the pressure because if he beat Peachy PERSON, then he's kind of like really good.

Speaker 12467.24s - 2468.78s

So let's give him a chance.

Speaker 02469.04s - 2469.74s

I'm a fair guy.

Speaker 22470.54s - 2472.14s

Of course, you have to get it bang on.

Speaker 42473.06s - 2480.44s

Get it bang on. And it's on a day with Stockdale PERSON, who, um, I remember you,

Speaker 02480.44s - 2482.82s

you actually did a little tweet about it.

Speaker 42483.24s - 2497.38s

No, no. I thought, I've got to do this question. Also, I did a story on him recently because he got let go up York City GPE. He was there head of recruitment and then a player as well. But yeah, he just got let go. And I thought I'd do a question on him.So, David Stockdale PERSON had a loan to bail the club.

Speaker 22498.62s - 2500.24s

His website is fantastic.

Speaker 42500.62s - 2503.9s

Stu highlighted that on a podcast about three years ago, didn't he?

Speaker 22504.98s - 2508.38s

It's like, it's pretty, the guy's got some front. You've got to give it to him.

Speaker 42508.78s - 2528.18s

I'll give it to him, give it to him. But yeah, how many clean sheets did David Stockdale PERSON keep during his 18 game loan spell at town? So Simon PERSON, to get a bang on, take the still. 18 games, I'll quickly bring up the season as well. I think he was on loan from Phulham ORG, if I was right?Or was he, Phillom PERSON?

Speaker 32528.32s - 2533.38s

I think it was Fulham ORG, yeah. Because that was the season where we won at Barnsley ORG away, wasn't it?

Speaker 42534.04s - 2537.16s

Final game for the club, that five, three.

Speaker 32538.12s - 2539.04s

So, that's mad.

Speaker 42539.36s - 2540.6s

Didn't keep a clean cheating that one, then.

Speaker 32541.18s - 2541.6s

Definitely not.

Speaker 42541.68s - 2542.56s

No, he definitely didn't know.

Speaker 32543.82s - 2546.86s

But yeah, 2011-12 season

Speaker 02546.86s - 2548.22s

he was on loan from.

Speaker 32549.16s - 2549.68s

So one of,

Speaker 02550.36s - 2550.5s

yeah,

Speaker 42550.5s - 2558.32s

would have been a poor jewel sign, wasn't it? Yeah, would have been a poor-doll sign. Yeah, on loan from Philham ORG.He's, yeah, what do you reckon?

Speaker 32559.36s - 2560.52s

I put six.

Speaker 42561.16s - 2561.56s

Six.

Speaker 32562.28s - 2562.96s

Oh, okay.

Speaker 42563.36s - 2564.26s

Don't it would have been many.

Speaker 32564.94s - 2565.3s

No.

Speaker 42565.48s - 2601.52s

Bono PERSON, what do you reckon? Just to play as well. Five. Someone is bang on. Doing Devena PERSON here. And that manis Bono PERSON. It is five. So Bono PERSON has won. Overall, five cling sheets and 18 games. My friend, you are this week. Strike champion, beating Simon, who beat Peachie PERSON last time out.So you are the champion this week. How do you feel about it? I feel, I feel fine.

Speaker 22604.08s - 2608.52s

I feel fine. I feel fine. I'm just looking at David Stockdale's PERSON website. Sorry.

Speaker 12609.28s - 2614.46s

The man, the athlete, the philanthropist, which is easy for me to say.

Speaker 22615.2s - 2619.82s

And like, there's like, there's like a load of sections on it.

Speaker 42620.14s - 2625.36s

He's got, you know, got to think of your career after football. I think that's one some people don't think. The businessman.

Speaker 22626.32s - 2626.6s

The businessman.

Speaker 42627.42s - 2628.62s

The interest is to see where he ends up.

Speaker 22628.72s - 2630.04s

How old is he now?

Speaker 42630.14s - 2630.8s

David Stockdown PERSON.

Speaker 22631.22s - 2633.48s

It's got to be 40, isn't he? 38.

Speaker 42633.82s - 2651.88s

38. Then nearly, yeah. Yeah, so he's probably got one more, one more big, big season in him. Because obviously goalie is he can go on until whenever they want to Bufon ORG, went on to B'est, is he still playing Bufant ORG? No, he retired from me now. He's quite, okay, he's, but you know,

Speaker 12651.96s - 2655.2s

how old is, um, how old is Stockdale PERSON? 38.

Speaker 42656.72s - 2658.8s

He's not finished, he's only 38.

Speaker 12658.98s - 2662.2s

Sorry, I'm, I'm giddy

Speaker 22662.2s - 2679.36s

because I beat Simon, who beat Peechee PERSON. Yeah, which is like, which is like how us as town fans when Ipswich beat Regiana in the Anglo-Italian Cup, and I think they'd just beat in A.C. Milan and the Coppa Italia EVENT. So it's like, if we beat them and they beat A.C. Milan ORG, then we're better than A.C. Milan.

Speaker 42681.92s - 2684.24s

We beat Leipzig GPE in pre-season, so.

Speaker 22685.48s - 2688.3s

That was, yeah. Innsbruck Cup EVENT winners.

Speaker 42688.52s - 2689.56s

You'll never sing that.

Speaker 02691.36s - 2695.22s

I want to see some, I want to see some of the Ultras ORG make some stickers

Speaker 22695.22s - 2704.16s

Innsbruck Cup EVENT winners. Because I think QPR have got, I think they won the Ibetha Cup in 2015, and I've seen some of those.

Speaker 42704.82s - 2706.68s

Iberthi Cup EVENT winners, you'll never sing that.

Speaker 02707.68s - 2708.2s

Got me done.

Speaker 42708.28s - 2709.84s

Get blue action on the case.

Speaker 02710.24s - 2711.74s

Get involved, get involved.

Speaker 42711.86s - 2714.74s

By the Innsbruck Cup EVENT, well, it was a lifetime ago since preseason.

Speaker 02714.94s - 2715.34s

Madness.

Speaker 42715.72s - 2717.76s

I went out to Austria GPE and it was good, good fun.

Speaker 22718.06s - 2718.76s

Very hot, though.

Speaker 42718.84s - 2721.02s

Very hot in Vienna and Innsbruck GPE as well.

Speaker 02721.58s - 2727.84s

But yeah, now we're here at the moment. We're talking about the whole city game now, boys. Nice big preview on this.

Speaker 42729.34s - 2750.38s

8pm kickoff, which is just ridiculous on a midweek, obviously. If it's a mid-wood game, then you go, yeah, fair enough. But on a Saturday, 8pm to whole. Ridiculous, Simon PERSON. It's ridiculous. Obviously, it is on Sky ORG.What success, you know, if we go into Premier League ORG, there will be loads of random kickoff times and days and stuff, but 8pm on a Saturday, my friend. Ridiculous.

Speaker 32751.16s - 2828.56s

Yeah, it's not a great kickoff time to have. I mean, it's, as you say, with success comes movements for TV and you play less and less at 3 o'clock every weekend. Like, certainly as town fans I've been used to pretty much, my whole town's of point life has pretty much been exclusively three o'clock every weekend. Like, at least as town fans I've been used to pretty much, my whole town support life has pretty much been exclusively three o'clock kickupsbecause we never threatened to do anything. So it was just, well, no one cares about them. So we've got to take it with obviously that pinch of salt that we're being chosen for those TV slots because people want to watch us for the first time in a long time and what we're doing is genuinely interesting to broadcasters as well as just us,as town fans. But obviously, from a fan perspective, it is a really awkward place to get to. And time, obviously, trains and stuff getting back on the weekend can be tricky coming back from Harlem LOC. I mean, it's partly why I decided not to go in the end because it's just such a long way and then obviously you've got to think about getting hotels and all that sort of stuff. But if there's a win, I'm sure there'll be a big party on the whole dock side. Come 10 o'clock in the evening, the town fans might be making their voices heard late into the whole air. So, yeah, it's going to be an exciting game and hopefully town get the three pointsthat they desperately need.

Speaker 42829.32s - 2867.32s

Yeah, it's going to be a big game indeed. Whole course, needing points themselves. I've still got slim chances of getting the playoffs. I think if they win the next two games and hopefully other results go their way, they'll be in the playoffs. I think they're three points away from Norwich and West Brough GPE.So really, it's a must-win game for them, Bono PERSON. And I want to quickly bring you back. A bit of flashback. We spoke about this on the main pod and we've done a bootroom as well. But one of the best performances of the season for town was against Hull GPE, wasn't it, at Portman Road, that three-neill win, West Burns, Conachadilly. Marcus Harness PERSON with a new haircut now, obviously. Going to look forward to seeing that in the flesh. But yeah, that was a fantastic win back in October, wasn't it?It was, yeah.

Speaker 22868.04s - 2900.26s

I think I probably wasn't alone, a little bit kind of nervous about Hull GPE, because they play really nice football. Resenia ORG is another one of these young modern managers that speaks very well and sets its size up really well. And yeah, we schooled them that day and the fact that they had to go for it, like you boys talked about today on the main pod.Yeah, John Walk PERSON's here. I saw John Walk last week at the cash point at Tesco's in Stow Market FAC.

Speaker 12900.46s - 2901.78s

I was like, who are me?

Speaker 22901.92s - 2911s

Anyway, yeah, we've not established whether it's actually John Walker, though, have we on YouTube ORG? Well, we need to find out. I'll have to send

Speaker 42911s - 2916.62s

him the link one day and see if he comes on. Yeah, that would be, that'll be evening, John PERSON. Yeah,

Speaker 22916.62s - 2922.3s

that'll be, um, that'll be amazing. But yeah, I think the fact that they have to go for it,

Speaker 42922.6s - 2929.42s

plays in our hands. But, you know, like you said, Ross, some of their players just look fantastic.

Speaker 22929.72s - 2985.58s

But let's hope they have an off day. And I think they will because I think we're going to, the tractor's going to turn up. Up there in northeast Lincolnshire GPE, as I used to call it. And I think we're going to, I'm not going to say we're going to smash them. But I think we'll win and it'll be like, oh, God, now we've got to get Coventry ORG out the way. And yeah, but yeah, let's do it.Sadly, and I know you're all keen to know, sadly I won't be there because when they sold out the tickets, a friend of mine at work said, do you want to come to Millwall GPE with me? And I was like, yeah, go on then. He's actually a Brighton ORG fan. So I'm going to Millwall tomorrow.I'm going to Bermondsey GPE. And if I can get back to Stratford quick enough, I'll be home to watch the Pipswich ORG game on TV, like a true fan sat in my armchair.

Speaker 02993.4s - 2994.92s

Let's just hope that Don Goodman and David Prutton PERSON.

Speaker 22999.24s - 3010.62s

I'm sure they're lovely people and I'm sure other clubs love them. But once we're in that Premier League ORG, it'll be nice to get some kind of half-decent pundits, because I dare say, boys, we could probably do better than them. I don't know.

Speaker 43012.44s - 3013.56s

Sorry if that's the sound of a law.

Speaker 13015.46s - 3015.9s

It feels like there's an agenda, you know.

Speaker 43019.86s - 3025.74s

I think because we're doing stuff that not many people thought we're going to do, and I think they think, oh, it's a little bit of old it, which they're not going to be here for the rest of the season, and now we're five three games to go. Surely, like, Ross, from's a little old it, which they're not going to be here for the rest of the season. And now we're five, three games to go.

Speaker 23026.34s - 3030.56s

Surely, like, Ross, from a journalist, with your journalist hat on for a moment, buddy,

Speaker 43031.94s - 3035.16s

that's a far nicer and better story.

Speaker 23035.62s - 3051.64s

And it's something that people buy into when a team that, you know, by rights, shouldn't be anywhere near where we are in the league, the fact that we are, it's bloody good. It's romantic. It's, you know, people buy into that kind of stuff, don't they? Different.

Speaker 43052.48s - 3052.68s

Yeah.

Speaker 23053.14s - 3058.42s

If we were 16th, you know, like, you know, I thought we'd be.

Speaker 43058.72s - 3059.82s

We wouldn't be on bloody sky.

Speaker 23060.86s - 3061.12s

No.

Speaker 03061.72s - 3063.92s

Or even sky, let alone bloody sky.

Speaker 43064.34s - 3069.44s

But, yeah. Yeah. Yes. yes yeah it's interesting yeah but obviously

Speaker 23069.44s - 3073.78s

you know i predicted 10th at the start of the season i thought that was a nice you know first

Speaker 13073.78s - 3078.16s

season right now you know i that's my favorite word a few seasons ago like dead rubber we're just

Speaker 23078.16s - 3083.5s

going into dead robbers now but um but no three big games whole city first up simon GPE you really

Speaker 13083.5s - 3085.78s

sort of mention earlier about Wes Burns PERSON starting.

Speaker 23086.24s - 3087.82s

I want you to, I'll put it on a spot, really,

Speaker 43087.94s - 3089.76s

but I assume you already know anyway.

Speaker 33090.06s - 3091s

Got our thoughts, yeah.

Speaker 03092.32s - 3094.54s

I mean, Cladkin PERSON goal is obvious.

Speaker 33094.84s - 3209.38s

Davis. I mean, I do remember George Edmonton PERSON came in for the home game because McKenna PERSON wanted his pace against specifically Liam DeLap and I think Aaron Connolly PERSON. And he did pretty well that day, but Burgess PERSON, I think, has been playing too well. So for me, he'll get the nod there and Lou Wolfenden PERSON as the right centre back.I'd go to Anzebé right back because Jaden Filigene PERSON plays on the left and he's top quality. And I think you want your best one-on-one defender against him in terms of that fallback. And that for me is Axel PERSON. Probably, it'd be Morsi and Massimo in the middle with the two weeks break. That'll do them good and get them refreshed and hopefully they can stamp their authority on it. Broadhead from the left, as I said, I think Burns will play on the right. Question then is, is Chaplain or Hutchinson PERSON in the middle?I think McKenna will go Chaplin PERSON. Purely, again, as I was saying, in terms of big games, you take the players that you know can do a job in those environments for you, and Chaplin PERSON, to be fair, is the consummate professional for doing that.So I think he will start as the 10, and then Kiefer PERSON, I think, we'll start up top again with the break, having done him good, hopefully, and he can go back to sort of that battering round bully that he was, we sort of sort of early on in his town career but have seen kind of less of as he's kind of gone through because he's, I think, feeling the pace and the few aches and pain and hopefully those have all recovered with the threat then of Alhammedy and Hurst PERSON to come from the bench which will frighten the whole defenders massively I think having seen um seeing those guys on the on the bench also they've had to play midweek as well so there will be some tiredness in their camp so you think that freshness that we could bring off the bench could make a real difference against what will be at that point very tiring legs against our squad having had a two-week break so I think think we're anywhere near in the game, sort of 20 to play.I think that will be us in a really good position.

Speaker 43210.46s - 3270.7s

Yeah, I think they played on Wednesday night, so they don't have much really recovery time. I know they only went to Coventry ORG, so it's not too far to travel, but, you know, probably Thursday was more of a recovery day. And then, yeah, today would have been, yeah, their main training game ready to prepare for this game. And obviously, I don't know what they were doing on a Saturday, because obviously it's 8pm kickoff. They may have, I don't know, I don't know, but yeah, it's going to be interesting.Obviously, their five games are beaten Bono PERSON, whole city. They've got some good players, though. They've got some really good players, some danger players. Simon PERSON's already named-checked a few. They've got Fabio Cavalio, who actually, fine enough, and AJ pointed us out, he's actually played against town already this season. He was actually at Leipzig at the start of the season. He actually played in that Innsbruck Cup EVENT match. I remember looking at, I was like, oh, yeah, Flavio Camelio PERSON in one of the pictures I took. And obviously, he got recalled and, of course, joined Hole in January. He's got 10 goals already since signing on loan from Liverpool ORG,which is just madness. But what do you reckon, Bono PERSON? How are you feeling? Do you think Town ORG can get that win? Obviously, as we already said, if town win, the next three games are up, are they going to get that first win here at Whole City FAC?

Speaker 23271.44s - 3296.42s

Yeah, of course we can. What we're all worried about is McKenna PERSON's at the wheel. Simon PERSON stole pretty much everything I was going to say, including the starting line up, man for man, but great minds think alike. I think the camp seems settled, massive, massive boost, like we talked about earlier,

Speaker 03296.42s - 3300s

having Burns and Hurst PERSON back.

Speaker 23300.98s - 3324.14s

And yeah, just, it's going to be alright be interesting to know how everybody's getting back from a hole because I dare say there's a hell of a lot of people that would have booked it super advanced train tickets and won't be able to get back now but yeahhey you know what let's just yeah

Speaker 43324.14s - 3326.02s

score prediction what do you reckon?

Speaker 23328.26s - 3331s

Simon, you go first. Or have you already gone? I can't remember.

Speaker 43331s - 3332.9s

I was going to say you can go first.

Speaker 33333.76s - 3342.22s

Okay, I predict, boys, it's going to be an absolute beast. It's going to be for one town.

Speaker 23342.68s - 3346.24s

But we'll concede first. We'll conceive first and we'll think, here we go. We thought we armed out these problems. And then we're just going to be for one town. But we'll concede first. We'll concede first and we'll think, here we go.

Speaker 33346.38s - 3348.04s

We thought we armed out these problems.

Speaker 23348.66s - 3349.82s

And then we're just going to smash it.

Speaker 13350.9s - 3354.36s

Chaplin PERSON's going to score a wonderful, wonderful goal.

Speaker 23355.1s - 3376.5s

We're going to see a goal from a set piece. Burgess PERSON. Well, in fact, no, because he's not playing, is he? We're predicting Libenson PERSON. Yeah, I think I can see Hearst coming on for the last 20. That's 20, 25 minutes.Spice it up a little bit. Wouldn't it be lovely to see a Burns cut back to Chaplin PERSON?

Speaker 43378.16s - 3384.5s

Because Chaplin PERSON tries so, he has a lot of attempts at very, very good goals.

Speaker 23385.7s - 3387.7s

He obviously scores a lot of very, very good goals.

Speaker 03389.06s - 3392.08s

But yeah, 3-0 Town Barnsley Mark 2.

Speaker 23392.24s - 3394s

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, baby.

Speaker 03394.12s - 3395.66s

That will be amazing.

Speaker 23396.58s - 3412.96s

A full away end chanting Massimo PERSON. I can see Massimoimo a massimo master class it's just mausie just being an eight and a half slash nine out of ten again where would we be without our our boy

Speaker 43415.52s - 3420.48s

yeah so yeah no so four one win that's a it's a big scoreline simon that um

Speaker 33421.28s - 3431.98s

yeah not feeling quite as confident as that it has to be said uh be said. I think my kind of head is saying it will be kind of a high score draw to all,

Speaker 43432.08s - 3436.26s

but my heart's saying too one town and it will be a game.

Speaker 33436.4s - 3498.3s

I think the game will be less open than it may look like it might be. I think obviously everyone's predicting this kind of very open contest, but I could see two teams kind of cance each other out, trying to be on the ball and trying to control it a little bit like you saw with sort of Arsenal Man City ORG. But I do think the bench is where the game will be kind of won, the game will be won from a town perspective, given, as we're saying, have had a lot of games that they've been playing, the tiredness may catch up with them. Obviously, if Norwich and West Brom win earlier in the day, that would all but end their playoff chances as well. So the ground could be a little bit flat going into the game. I think from a town perspective, that's got to be the hope from our side. But even so, I mean, in some ways, as Bonner was saying, you might want them to need something because they're going to have to go for it. That a draw does neither team any favours. So somebody will win it. And I think Town ORG's freshness from the bench will be the difference. And we'll win another game late on, 2-1-2-1-town win.

Speaker 43498.9s - 3503.28s

Oh, I like that. And that's a good point, actually, because obviously when we kick off, we already know how Leeds ORG got on.

Speaker 33503.32s - 3509.66s

Obviously, as we're kicking off right now. obviously lester as well we're playing tomorrow who

Speaker 43509.66s - 3515.44s

who lester PERSON plan although on at this stage i said it on the main part lester had gone yeah they've won the league

Speaker 33515.44s - 3520.84s

enjoy that lestan PERSON enjoy that they've got they've got the team to do it they should have done

Speaker 43520.84s - 3545.04s

ages ago but they sort of fell didn't they but um that's a good Going into that game, Hull GPE will know their results in terms of their rivals and obviously we'll know about Leeds ORG. But yeah, it's going to be interesting. We're literally over the hour, Mark PERSON. So let's wrap up, as always. Bono PERSON, Simon, any other business, Bono? You unmuted yourself, so I have a feeling you want to say something, so take it away. No, no further business.

Speaker 23545.2s - 3563.76s

Just obviously, everybody's all right. And obviously, heading into the game full of cautious optimism, aren't we? But I think we'll be all right. But you know what? If we don't win, it will still be all right. So, yeah.I don't know.

Speaker 03566.62s - 3567.42s

It'll be all right. It'll be all right. That'll be right. So, yeah. I don't know. It'll be all right.

Speaker 43567.86s - 3568.34s

It'll be right.

Speaker 03568.9s - 3570.96s

But I'll still be fine, but I'm at it.

Speaker 23571.02s - 3572.54s

A town fan, you'll be thinking, oh, God,

Speaker 03572.82s - 3573.54s

have we blown it?

Speaker 23573.72s - 3574.34s

Have we blown it?

Speaker 13574.36s - 3575.88s

Our playoffs destined for us.

Speaker 23575.9s - 3576.8s

I think there was actually one comment

Speaker 13576.8s - 3578.3s

about the three words or less how they're feeling.

Speaker 43578.78s - 3579.78s

So I went no playoffs.

Speaker 13579.9s - 3581.24s

So they're thinking,

Speaker 43581.32s - 3583.06s

they're confident. They're confident.

Speaker 03583.44s - 3584s

So which is good.

Speaker 43584.82s - 3596.66s

But yeah, obviously we've got commentary after this straight away. So two very tough away games. Obviously, Conventry ORG, they're out of the picture now. They're pretty much. I wouldn't say they'll be on the beach, but they'll be very much. They've got nothing to really play for.

Speaker 33597.18s - 3602.54s

And again, with tiredness in the Coventry ORG camp as well, with that big FAC Cup EVENT, semi-final run.

Speaker 43602.7s - 3603.44s

Then a middle-week game,

Speaker 33604.28s - 3608.56s

it'll be really hard for them to raise themselves for that game,

Speaker 03608.9s - 3615.38s

to be honest. I mean, I think if town get through this one, you could definitely see them winning the next two.

Speaker 33615.5s - 3652.42s

Obviously, Huddersfield at home last game in the season. Could be relegated by then, again, if results go against them. So, yeah, I mean, we've just got to keep the faith. And it's nice to finally have a game that's going to be entirely in our control because it felt like a long time since that's happened. And actually we can be in control of our own destiny rather than watching Leedsand Leicester ORG from a far going, what are they doing? It would be nice to town finally have control of what they're doing. Again, it feels like it's been a long time. And I think we all need to kind of see them playing again because it's been a long time since Set Middlesbrough ORG again. It's so long ago.

Speaker 43652.54s - 3671.72s

Yeah, it's in our hands, boys. It's in our hands. I've actually got a question, not a question, but a message here from Tom PERSON. Tell him better play well. You go into his local Spanish NORP bar watching, converting some Celtro Vigo fans into Richard PERSON fans. Hopefully it's not the day where, yeah, you go, come on, come on, come on, come on, watch my team player. And then we lose. And you're like, and they go, tell me they're good.

Speaker 23672.16s - 3693.28s

So hopefully, Tom, the boys booed you proud on Saturday. That must mean Tom is in Galithia GPE. So, yeah, northern Spain. Northern Spain. I've got a friend whose parents are Gilethian so yeahI always have nice shirts Seltabigo as well

Speaker 43693.28s - 3695.16s

Can we sign Pablo PERSON from them

Speaker 23695.16s - 3696.22s

Yes Pablo

Speaker 43696.22s - 3697.92s

Speaker 23697.92s - 3699.48s

Could be very fun, yeah.

Speaker 43759.98s - 3767.16s

Last season, Exeter GPE, I'll tell you, it's a good game when you're sort of talking through the promotion on the pitch.

Speaker 33767.16s - 3771.62s

So, fingers crossed, we can get through the next two and have another moment like that.

Speaker 03771.7s - 3772.2s

Be unbelievable.

Speaker 43772.8s - 3776.3s

Indeed, yeah, bring on Portman Road for the Huddersville GPE game.
