I-26 at Harbison and at love Chevy.com ORG.

Speaker 11254s - 255.4s

Together, let's drive.

Speaker 7256.06s - 258.98s

We had a really smooth show yesterday.

Speaker 11260.14s - 261.9s

And I thought Monday was smooth.

Speaker 7262.72s - 263.38s

It did run smoothly.

Speaker 11263.38s - 265.36s

Today has just been one of those days.

Speaker 2265.88s - 266.48s

I don't know.

Speaker 7267.12s - 303.88s

Monday and Tuesday, you know, I felt like the Varsity Express ORG was here. And then this has been a little bit of JV ORG sneaking in. But we're going to get back to the lofty expectations of the ITG community on the Chiefsports Network ORG. And of course, this is the Love Chevy Drive ORG around the SEC home of the $1,000 guarantee. If you're looking for a Chevy ORG anywhere in thestate of South Carolina GPE, check our friends at Love Chevy ORG. We've had Connor O'Gera PERSON on J.C. and Morgan PERSON. You guys familiar? I know J.C. is. Phil, you're familiar with Conner PERSON's

Speaker 0303.88s - 305.42s

work on Saturday down south?

Speaker 7306.24s - 325.94s

Yes, sir. I think it does a good job. So there's an article on Nick Harbor there today. Gamecock ORG fans want to check it out. Just kind of an interesting read. But I'm going to go over, I'm going to start off for some heavy football here. I'm going to go over a different article that he wrote that I thought is interesting.

Speaker 3326.58s - 330.16s

Top five assistant coaches in the SEC ORG.

Speaker 0330.72s - 335.56s

Assistant coaches who he believes will get head coaching opportunities.

Speaker 7335.98s - 506.24s

Of course, this is not just his opinion. He talks to other people and kind of gets a consensus on who he thinks are some of the top talk. So number one on the list, he has Glenn Schumann, Georgia ORG defensive coordinator. He says it's fitting that Schumann is number one on the list. For my money, he's the best defensive coordinator in the SEC ORG. His play calling chops have been evident the past two years with a Georgia ORG defensethat has somehow didn't take a significant step back after it lost historically good Dan Lannning in his final season as the D.C. Some people might say, what about Will Mustchip PERSON? I mean, Mustchamp PERSON is there, but he's not the defensive coordinator. He's got a different role altogether. Kirby Moore, Missouri ORG OC. He says we took more number one overall as an OC,taking a look at what he's done in his first season, taking over Eli Drinkwitz PERSON in the play calling department. They improved the Tigers by nearly eight points a game. They went from 87th in the country and offense to number 21 in yards per play, one of the more significant numbers if you're kind of grading in offense to number 21 in yards per play, one of the more significant numbers if you're kind of grading in offense's productivity. That's for a team that broke through and earned its highest AP top 25 finish in a decade. Of course, they finished number eight. He's only 30-something years old, and yes, he is the brother of Kellynmore PERSON, who's done some great things at the NFL ORG level. Number three, Blake Baker, LSU ORG defensive coordinator. JC and I talked about this a lot. This was a coup to get him from the zoo. Baker did a remarkable job in Columbia for two years after taking over a dormant defense under Steve Wilkes. Baker had just five defensive players drafted from a wildly improved group, which was why Brian Kelly poached him and paid assistant in America GPE. Number four, Tim Banks, Tennessee GPE defensive coordinator. Connor says, I was dead wrong about banks. After several candidates turned down, Josh Heipel PERSON, I wasn't crazy about the idea of hiring banks as his D.C. Because I didn't like the lack of reps with total autonomy on defense at Illinois and at Penn State ORG.The knock on Heeple PERSON was that he wasn't concerned about playing complementary football and he put his defenses in tough spots. Banks PERSON proved he was up for the task. And most recently, with a Tennessee defense that ranked number one in the SEC ORG in yards per rush allowed. And my, that just froze up. Okay. No, you're good.Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. No, my actual. Frozen. Oh, oh, okay. I'm my, my, my, my, my actual page froze. Oh, oh, okay.

Speaker 4506.24s - 508.4s

I'm the guilty party there.

Speaker 7508.82s - 510.44s

It's guilty party there.

Speaker 4510.9s - 511.04s

Yeah.

Speaker 7511.16s - 516.26s

So we'll just, we'll, we'll keep everybody in suspense who number, no, now, now I've got it back.

Speaker 4516.8s - 536.72s

I don't know if it's my internet or number. So those are the top. Those are the top four. Number five on this list. Colin Klein, it's weird. I was, I was, I was, I was, the top four. Number five on this list. Colin Klein PERSON, it's weird. I was, it feels like I was calling Colin Klein PERSON gamesa quarterback at K State yesterday. He's now an established coach, and he's the Texas A&MOC ORG.

Speaker 7537.42s - 570.2s

After he led K State to a top 10 offense in the post-Deuce Vaughn world, Klein was one of the best assistant hires of the offseason. Mike Elko got Klein to leave his alma mater to run an A&M ORG offense that's loaded with potential, most notably at quarterback with a healthy Connor Wigman. And then he adds, Don't Sleep on Oklahoma OC, Seth Latrell, and Georgia defensive line coach, Trey Scott PERSON. J.C. ORG, any comments on that list? Kind of quiet over there.

Speaker 15570.2s - 573.7s

Probably would not have had the same list. That all?

Speaker 4573.78s - 575.68s

Probably would have had the same list.

Speaker 15575.94s - 625.46s

Well, tell me why. Baker PERSON would have made it. I mean, Baker PERSON had been up there, and more would have probably made it. The other three Man, Colin Klein PERSON was a great player at K-State ORG. You're going to show me.Chris Kleinlin PERSON, their coach, has his own system. They ran it at North Dakota State ORG. They run the same damn thing. Are they going to run that system at 8-M ORG?That's different. Yeah. I like Seth LaTrell PERSON, and I think LaTrell, yeah, because he, LaTrell was kind of an up-and-comer, and then he spent several years as the head coach at North Texas ORG.Now he's kind of back as a coordinator. Sometimes those guys come back and find their way, and they're really good. Sometimes they come back and the coordinator game has passed them by a bit.

Speaker 2625.86s - 627.54s

So we'll have to see.

Speaker 15627.98s - 631.88s

I'm not sold on Oklahoma ORG at all. I've noticed that.

Speaker 7632.38s - 637.3s

I just don't, you know, based on what I've been told from coaches that played against them last year

Speaker 15637.3s - 643.88s

versus the fact that, you know, they lost all five offensive linemen. And I'm not mad.

Speaker 0643.96s - 645.7s

I'm not an Oklahoma ORG hater. I'll actually,

Speaker 15646.62s - 686.86s

Brett Venable as being in Clemson ORG's the side, I think he's a hell of a coach. And I think he's recruiting well to where in a few years, they're going to look more like an SEC ORG team. Maybe soon. I mean, who knows? But, but, man, I mean, everybody's just assuming, you know, they both, they'll just, they're, if you looked at what their performances have been like where they played, like, good teams through the year? I mean, they played a bad Tennessee team in Norman a few years ago and squoaked by by three. I think, actually, I think champions of life beat them once. All right, so, so let's not, let's not crown Oklahoma ORG just yet, right?

Speaker 7687s - 689.02s

All right, is there anybody you would add to that list?

Speaker 15689.9s - 691.46s

To that list. Let me think.

Speaker 7692.22s - 695.62s

I'll get back to you on that. That's my assignment.

Speaker 15695.88s - 698.18s

My brain kind of work here for a minute.

Speaker 7698.18s - 700.42s

I got you fired up on some of those.

Speaker 15700.42s - 704.6s

Brian White, the de-coordinator from Kentucky, is one of the best assistants in the SEC ORG.

Speaker 7704.78s - 708.98s

Totally agree. In fact, I don't know how you don't consider him.

Speaker 15709.46s - 716.44s

I'm right there with you. He would not only be in my top five. I mean, I realize they had a setback last year for whatever reason.

Speaker 7716.94s - 721.38s

He didn't forget how the coach. He'd be in my top three. Totally agree with you on that one.

Speaker 15723.04s - 726.62s

What do you guys think of Joel Clatt of Fox Sports?

Speaker 7726.74s - 730.92s

He's kind of the Kirk Herb Street of the Fox Sports College Football brand.

Speaker 15732.16s - 734.92s

He loves the SEC ORG.

Speaker 3735.6s - 738.42s

I don't know enough about it because he's on Fox ORG.

Speaker 7738.82s - 740.42s

Yeah, I mean, here's the thing.

Speaker 2740.64s - 741.64s

I don't know Joel PERSON.

Speaker 3742.64s - 744.08s

I've met him once or twice.

Speaker 2744.36s - 746.94s

Always been nice to me personally, but I don't know, Joel PERSON. I've met him once or twice. Always been nice to me personally,

Speaker 3747.04s - 751.12s

but I don't pretend to know him. I also don't pretend to watch the Fox ORG pregame show.

Speaker 2753.62s - 758.74s

I'm just a creature of habit. I realize some people say, well, yeah, you get paid by ESPN ORG. Yeah,

Speaker 15758.78s - 768.9s

I do, but I also, there's plenty of things I watch on TV that are not ESPN ORG. And I'm sure college football, their pregame show has made improvements.

Speaker 7770.5s - 773.72s

And Joel PERSON, I guess technically is not on it live, right?

Speaker 15773.76s - 777.62s

He doesn't actually do what Kirby does and do it live and then pair it.

Speaker 2777.62s - 781.1s

Because he's got to be there for the big noon kickoff.

Speaker 15781.22s - 781.9s

That's their thing.

Speaker 3782.02s - 782.6s

Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 7782.68s - 784.86s

Yeah, they don't have that turnaround like ESPN ORG does.

Speaker 2784.86s - 785.62s

Yeah, yeah. So as an analyst thing. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, they don't have that turnaround like ESPN ORG does. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7785.82s - 807.6s

So as an analyst, you know, he's fine. He, I'll admit, he ruffled my feathers and a lot of other people a few years ago. It felt like he was just kind of holding, holding water for the Big Ten and went, you know, eight shit, excuse my language, about the Alabama team making the college football playoff as a four seed.

Speaker 0807.88s - 813.86s

And it was an outrage and this and that. That Alabama team smoked two teams and wound up winning a national championship.

Speaker 7814.78s - 856.06s

I think Joel PERSON's credibility temporarily might have taken a hit. But so some people just assume, just like people assume ESPN is in the bag for the SEC ORG, that the gang at Fox is in the bag for the SEC ORG, that the gang at Fox is in the bag for the Big Ten. I get it. But I still respect his opinion. So he came out with his top 25 poll. He's got nine SEC teams in the top 25. He's got A&M 25. He has got Oklahoma 17. He's got Tennessee 16, LSU 14, Missouri 10. Is that a yawn or is that a dishe?

Speaker 3856.82s - 863.56s

Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to put you to sleep, J.C. Alabama, he's got number six.

Speaker 7868.48s - 885.86s

Ole Miss, number, Alabama would be six, but he's got him at number seven. Ole Miss at number five. Texas at number three. Georgia at number two. That's his ninth SEC program in there, and number one, of course, is, according to Joel Klat PERSON. Say it with me. Big Ten ORG Pride.

Speaker 2890.28s - 890.58s

Ohio State. Ohio State. Okay. Not much from the gallery today.

Speaker 7896.18s - 896.76s

Ohio State is bad. I'm not buying that. I don't know. I mean, yeah. Maybe he is showing his true colors there, Mike.

Speaker 2902.8s - 903.34s

Well, I mean, look, Ohio State, they are loaded. They did, they did steal Chip Kelly PERSON.

Speaker 7905.28s - 905.94s

They bought white junkie. Oh, God.

Speaker 2906.12s - 910.98s

I mean, it was the Gordon Gecko offseason for Ohio State ORG football.

Speaker 7911.34s - 919.62s

They just completely rated anything that could be rated and got big-time portal grabs.

Speaker 2919.92s - 927.96s

And the fact that you could get a sitting head coach at a major school for UCLA ORG and get them to be the OC,

Speaker 7928.46s - 930.04s

kind of a big deal.

Speaker 2931.36s - 933.92s

And, of course, he didn't like his quarterback from last year.

Speaker 7935.02s - 938.12s

And now all of a sudden they believe they've got that position figured out.

Speaker 2938.38s - 941.06s

So that's the way Clatt PERSON sees it.

Speaker 10941.86s - 946.78s

I teased this earlier moving to baseball on the top 25

Speaker 2946.78s - 951.92s

actually not even on the top 25 i'm not going to get on the polls who cares right but

Speaker 3951.92s - 958.96s

this is baseball america's regional projections and d1 baseball is the number one but they're

Speaker 7958.96s - 1031.32s

not far different from baseball americas i figured i'd read it uh they have k as the overall number one, A&M 2, Clemson 3, Tennessee 4, Arkansas 6. So they have four of the top 8 from the SEC ORG, which is not uncommon that's happened before. I don't think the NC GPEAA deep down in smoke-filled rooms that they don't want you to hear the conversation. They don't want the NC level A deep down in smoke-filled rooms that they don't want you to hear the conversation. They don't want the majority of the programs all from the SEC ORG. Like 50% of them is more than enough. But that's the way it stands right now, 50%. And then they have Carolina ORG hosting as a 12 and Georgia ORG hosting as a 14. Obviously that series this weekend can change a lot of those things, either flip-flopat one way or another, et cetera. So they have a total of six SEC ORG teams hosting and four top eight seats from the SEC. I think that's actually very realistic. The last four in, they have Florida GPE barely getting in. That's obviously on a game by game basis. They're the ultimate bubble team right now.First four out, they have LSU ORG.

Speaker 01032.4s - 1044.8s

The defending national champions, they have completely out of the NCAA ORG tournament. To give you just how hard it is to stay good. We had a long conversation about that yesterday.

Speaker 71045.46s - 1070.26s

You're watching the two programs that played in the national championship finals, both struggling to get just to the tournament. Forget about hosting. Forget about top eight seed. They're just trying to make it. And there is no NIT EVENT in college baseball, just for the record. And that is your love Chevy ORG. Yeah, I know. That is your Love Chevy drive around the SEC ORG.

Speaker 111071.18s - 1082.76s

Brought to you by Love Chevy ORG, where the inventory is overflowing and the deals are in full bloom. I-26 at Harveston and at Love Chevy.com ORG. Together, let's drive. By the way, somebody asked.

Speaker 21082.76s - 1084.18s

So look at that.

Speaker 71084.82s - 1088.14s

Oh, go ahead, Mike. I was just going to say Jan PERSON asked,

Speaker 111088.14s - 1090s

what was the date on that, Mike?

Speaker 71090s - 1090.62s

That's today.

Speaker 21090.76s - 1091.92s

That's why I chose that one.

Speaker 111092.24s - 1094.78s

They literally released that today.

Speaker 71096.68s - 1097.86s

That's interesting.

Speaker 111098.78s - 1099.36s

Unless I'm reading.

Speaker 21100s - 1106.98s

Yeah, on the cusp of being able to host or not, I don't know.

Speaker 71107.18s - 1122.08s

I think like last year, this team ultimately is going to be kind of RPI ORG darlings to be able to get into that regional spot outside of the quad one victories and, you know, things that are propping them up, strength of schedule being what it was.

Speaker 21123.02s - 1128.16s

I'm not really worried about hosting at founders.

Speaker 31128.8s - 1132.9s

I mean, even, you know, go 500 over the next two series.

Speaker 21133.68s - 1134.08s

Correct.

Speaker 151134.88s - 1135.02s

Yeah.

Speaker 21135.66s - 1136.34s

Go 500.

Speaker 71136.94s - 1139.66s

I completely agree.

Speaker 21139.66s - 1151.04s

With the RPI already standing or sitting where it is for Carolina, and with two highly ranked teams left on the schedule for three games series,

Speaker 71151.04s - 1165.88s

even if you go three and three, heck, even if you go two and four, you're not going to take a major hit on your RPI. So I think Carolina ORG is in beyond excellent shape.

Speaker 151166.8s - 1168.26s

And look, these guys aren't Lenardi PERSON.

Speaker 71169.64s - 1171.08s

They're all the rest of the time.

Speaker 151171.26s - 1171.68s

Well, yeah.

Speaker 71171.88s - 1173.6s

Now, let me just say this is.

Speaker 151173.6s - 1176.4s

They're not as accurate as basketball guys. Correct.

Speaker 71176.68s - 1229.16s

There's nobody that's, there is no Joe Lenardi PERSON. But they're, but they're pretty good. I mean, Teddy Cahill PERSON, who wrote this, I know all of these guys have seen them at ballparks throughout the years. He does a good job. You know, so does Rogers PERSON.So does fit. So does Etheridge PERSON. It's like the Holy Alliance of Baseball, National Baseball ORG guys. It's the same four or five guys that it's been for years and years and years. They're on top of it. They don't, I know for years there was a, there was the vibe that, oh, baseball America is based in North Carolina and they've got an ACC by, that's not Teddy Cahill PERSON.That might have been, maybe you're thinking of like John Manuel PERSON or somebody, but no, these guys are not, they don't have agendas or anything like that. D1 baseball, if you look at theirs, it's not that different than one I just read. They're all around the same. So, take that for what it's worth.

Speaker 151230.04s - 1237.74s

I think, you know, as far as D1 baseball goes, they moved Carolina up to 13th in their rankings. Right.

Speaker 101238.4s - 1244.26s

Three spots after two or three of Missouri ORG. So I don't know why they would, or maybe they weren't

Speaker 151244.26s - 1245.2s

projected to host. I don't know what the deal is. But I don't know why they would, or maybe they weren't projected to host.

Speaker 101245.34s - 1246.9s

I don't know what the deal is.

Speaker 151247.54s - 1254.44s

But I'll say this. You know, South Carolina GPE does have work to do. If they hang a one in five up the last six games,

Speaker 71254.58s - 1256.64s

probably going on the road. I mean,

Speaker 01256.7s - 1258.18s

it's just how tough it is this year.

Speaker 151259.26s - 1292.94s

You know, as far as the super's go, I mean, you sit there, are they going to give five SEC ORG teams top eight seeds? I believe that's happened once or twice, but usually it's four is the absolutemax, and it's usually three or two with the top eight. So, you know, we'll see what happens. I think, like I said, there's ball to be played. You always want to be playing well at this time of year. South Carolina's won six of eight. Georgia ORG's scorching hot right now, but the law of averages tells us, like, how many runs they put up last week, Mike?

Speaker 71293.76s - 1296.94s

35, something like that against me. Over 10 a game.

Speaker 151297.14s - 1341.72s

Yeah, it was crazy. Over 30 runs. They hadn't done that all year. They've hit the ball well all year, but they haven't put up that many runs all year. You know, you got to, and they're coming to your place. They'll cool off. And, you know, the team that concerns me is Tennessee GPE because even last year when Tennessee got off to the sort of iffy start and then put it together at the end, they were a really, really good baseball team. I mean, and went in and played Clemson ORG, who was good to at Clemson, beat them, got back to where they needed to go. I think Tennessee made it in Omaha last year. So, you know, they're going to be a bear. I don't necessarily think those two programs like each other either, Tennessee and South Carolina GPE.

Speaker 71342.04s - 1343.18s

Nobody likes Tennessee GPE.

Speaker 151343.5s - 1345.42s

Yeah, they're not well loved.

Speaker 71345.52s - 1348.32s

They've become the villain of the league with Tony Vitello PERSON.

Speaker 151348.64s - 1349.2s

It was crazy.

Speaker 71349.2s - 1351.96s

And he loves it, by the way. Tony PERSON loves it.

Speaker 151352.14s - 1353.12s

He eats that up.

Speaker 71353.5s - 1355.96s

If you look at the history of the SEC East LOC,

Speaker 151357.96s - 1359.54s

Missouri ORG came in when

Speaker 131359.54s - 1361.96s

2012, 2013, something like that,

Speaker 71363.46s - 1368.72s

the more northern you got historically before Vanderbilt hired Corbyn PERSON,

Speaker 131368.9s - 1370.44s

the worst they were.

Speaker 151370.98s - 1402.04s

It was Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and then Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee GPE. Tennessee GPE would go up and down. Delmonico ORG had a good team there, blah, blah, blah, blah. But, you know, it's basically the more south you were, the better. And it's kind of strange to look at the top two teams in the division right now and see Kentucky and Tennessee by far are the top two teams in that division. That's interesting. It says a lot about those two coaches and sort of the investment they've made in both programs.

Speaker 71402.04s - 1510.92s

No, no doubt. I mean, it's kind of ironic because Mingeone PERSON was technically on the hot seat a couple years ago, which I thought was ridiculous. But to me, that was a great hire. Kentucky GPE's a very challenging job. There's challenges there with the weather and the footprint that South Carolina GPE willnever have to worry about. And Tennessee was a more abundant program for 15 years. And Vitello PERSON, here's a story on Vitello. People talk about Missouri ORG and just how bad they are and facilities and this and that. Tony Vitello is a Missouri ORG alum. Tony Vitello wanted the Missouri ORG job.Max Scher, a prominent alum and a, I don't know, he's probably worth about a half a billion dollars as a major league pitcher, wanted Tony Vitello as the coach of Missouri and told Missouri, if you hire him, I will donate, I will open up my checkbook, and I will give you millions. I will open up my checkbook and I will give you millions. Missouri ORG's leadership at the time said, no, we're going to hire this other, this Beezer PERSON guy. Thanks anyway, but we got this. Vitello goes to Tennessee GPE, completely turns that program around. Missouri fires Beezer PERSON and now is on another coach and is still coming up the rear in the southeastern conference. Those kind of moves can cripple you real quick. And it's real hard to recover from that. And I'm not saying Vitello would have done at Missouri what he's doing at Tennessee GPE. There's a track record at Tennessee GPE. You mentioned J.C. Del Bonico ORG. Tennessee for a while there, I mean, in the 90s was a really good baseball program.

Speaker 151510.92s - 1516.9s

They hired the guy from, um, Fullerton State or George Orton PERSON.

Speaker 71517.12s - 1517.34s

You see Irvine ORG.

Speaker 151519.24s - 1525.8s

They hired, they got a good West Coast LOC guy to come take that job for a while. And he just, he kind of flamed out.

Speaker 71525.8s - 1530.84s

There's some names. That's some names that offered Chad Holbrook PERSON the job. They did.

Speaker 151530.96s - 1535.84s

And I've talked to Chad PERSON about that. I mean, Chad PERSON, that really came close.

Speaker 71536.32s - 1576.28s

But they offered it to him while he was literally in Omaha ORG. And Chad PERSON, I mean, Chad can tell the story next time we have him on. Chad PERSON's like, I just don't feel good about taking this job right now. And he didn't take it. You know, and at that time, Tennessee GPE was, people were starting to say, well, I don't know if anybody can win here anymore. But Vitello PERSON's turned it around. And they're pumping in NIL money at Tennessee GPE and baseball. It's all of a sudden now they care. All it takes is winning. Women's basketball is the best example of that. You could give a crap less about women's basketball. All of a sudden you start going to some final four.I love women's basketball.

Speaker 11576.4s - 1577.14s

I've always loved it.

Speaker 71578.06s - 1600.78s

For a lot of fan bases, baseball is the same way. You just, you ignore it until you get good at it. And all of a sudden you're like breaking down, I think our number three starters should be this guy. I'm not too happy about this lineup. I, you know, I think we need to sacrifice more, move the base runners over. We're too many strikeouts. Like all of a sudden, you know, become a seamhead. But anyway,

Speaker 21601.86s - 1605.56s

uh, score in your living room. You keep it, yeah, right. You're keeping score.

Speaker 91606.68s - 1608.66s

You're keeping score in your living room.

Speaker 151609.4s - 1613.74s

So Dave Serrano PERSON was the guy they hired. That's right.

Speaker 91614.08s - 1620.1s

Yeah. He took Irvine, the Anteaters ORG. To the World Series. And then he got the Fullerton ORG job,

Speaker 151620.84s - 1645.04s

took them to the cut. It replaced George Horton PERSON. Because remember, Horton's the one that won it when they played Carolina that year. And Oregon ORG restarted their baseball program. And he went to Oregon until night plucked him pretty quickly. Yeah. And so then at Fullerton went to the College World Series EVENT, super regional, regional. And so when he got hired at Tennessee, this dude, this dude had like a seven-year track record of rocking and rolling. Tennessee, he never finished higher than fifth in the east. Yeah. this dude had like a seven-year track record of rocking and rolling.

Speaker 71648.04s - 1648.2s

Tennessee never finished higher than fifth in the east.

Speaker 151648.52s - 1648.94s

Yeah.

Speaker 71650.48s - 1651.06s

Just never could get it done.

Speaker 151654.02s - 1654.74s

Ends up going back to the West Coast to Cal State, Northridge GPE,

Speaker 31657.44s - 1660.32s

hangs it up after however many years. It spent one year as the pitching coach at West Virginia ORG,

Speaker 151660.44s - 1664.56s

where they had a mutual parting of ways in the middle of the season.

Speaker 41665.46s - 1670.44s

And now he retired from coaching in 2022 after Northridge GPE was just average.

Speaker 01670.74s - 1676.32s

Now he took the head coaching job in the Appalachian Athletic Conference at Johnson University ORG,

Speaker 151676.92s - 1681.3s

where he finished seventh this year with a 24 and 21 record.

Speaker 141681.3s - 1688.06s

So I don't know what happened from like 20, 2011 to now with this guy. But those

Speaker 31688.06s - 1692.02s

seven years of Tennessee GPE, and you can see why Tennessee gave me that much

Speaker 151692.02s - 1706.62s

time because he had, I mean, he was 175 and 73 in four years at Fullerton ORG. And it had been to what, six straight NCAA tournaments, four super regionals and two college world series at Irvine and Fullerton ORG combined.

Speaker 71706.82s - 1766.68s

I'm here to tell you when that hire was made, it was a national love fest on what a great hire it was. And I dealt with Serrano PERSON many times, extremely likable guy, charismatic. He would point out that, yeah, I'm a West Coast LOC guy, but I know this area and I love this area. And it just didn't work. It just didn't like most of those Tennessee hires for 15 years did not work. But at the time, you know, that was a very celebrated hire at the time. There's a lot of celebrated hires in SEC ORG baseball that fell flat. Just absolutely did not work. So I know we've got to take a time out. Let's take it. 33 minutes past the hour here on a marvelous hump day installment of ITG ORG. Back with more on the other side.Hey, Gamecock ORG fans.

Again, eventually we'll be able to actually take recorded messages on this, which I think will be pretty cool. Stephen, a big Gamecock ORG fan, a regular to the show, asks, did you call the five consecutive home runs in the Super Regional against Georgia ORG? Yes, absolutely, Stephen PERSON. That was 06. And it is, I took a look at it just a moment ago, 797,000 views.2.8,000 thumbs up. That's not bad. I don't see a penny of that, but appreciate all you folks

Speaker 22254.04s - 2255.12s

out there watching it.

Speaker 72257.78s - 2259.04s

Yeah, I remember.

Speaker 22259.04s - 2261.9s

There's no royalties and broadcast and analysis, Mike.

Speaker 72262.12s - 2264.16s

This was before you could monetize

Speaker 22264.16s - 2266.96s

like YouTube, you know,

Speaker 42267.02s - 2272.42s

and get some money based on the amount of people that watch or view a clip or your show.

Speaker 72272.94s - 2273.66s

No, nothing.

Speaker 22274.04s - 2279.94s

And I don't even know who actually is behind the guy's name who posted it.

Speaker 72279.94s - 2430.78s

It was a guy named Cocky Talk PERSON. And you see that at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. The audio is a little what we call over-modulated. It's a guy named Cocky Talk PERSON. And you see that at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. The audio is a little what we call over-modulated. It's a little hot, but nevertheless, I'm glad he posted it because I can't tell you how many GameCuck ORG fans just tell me, every now and then I'm just at work.Maybe he will pick me up. I'm having a bad day, and I just play that. It's like an eight-minute clip. And, yeah, it's pretty awesome. And again, it's historical. You'll never see that again at a superregional. Five straight home runs against, you know, it's not like a regional where by the end of the regional, sometimes you'll get to feast against a team that has no pitching left. Georgia ORG had plenty of pitching. That's a World Series Georgia ORG team that Carolina ORG did that against. Five consecutive, pretty amazing. Going back to our talk about how all of a sudden, if you're good at a sport, everybody jumps on board.Quantrails, like he says, yeah, that's true as hell, Mike. I mean, it is. It just, you know, I hear this from Mike, softball fans. Come on, you didn't care about softball until your program started winning channel. All of a sudden, Oklahoma has become the murderers row, the 1950s and 60s Yankees of college softball. They win it every stinking year. It's right there in Oklahoma City GPE.So if you're a sooner fan, you're like breaking out. You know, I think she ought to hit the seven hole. Okay, okay, yeah, I know. You're a big, big softball aficionado. Now, Lynn PERSON says, hey, I kept stats for women's basketball back when I was in college in the 80s and I'm a longtime women's basketball fan. Hey, that's cool. That's cool, Lynn PERSON.I'm not saying they aren't out there. I'm just telling you that when you go from like 700 people a game to 18,000, that's winning. That's what that is. That's not all of a sudden a major appreciation for the sport. And for that matter, I mean, when I first came to Columbia ORG, you could go to Sarge Fry Field on a given SEC weekend, and you could have a row to yourself. It's not like they were packing the house, but then 2000, everything turned around. And people really not only loved, became lovers of College of Gamecock Baseball ORG, but so many fans that I talk to said, I really have grown to love the sport. And that's how it starts. You know, you find an allegiance, you're vested, and then you give it a shot. And all of a sudden, it's like, damn, this is a pretty good product. I'm in. All of a sudden, I care. I might even watch games that my team is not playing. That's when you know as a sport that you've arrived.

Speaker 152435.82s - 2449.1s

College baseball is cool because I always like the double elimination formats in the regionals. Yeah. Like, you know, one of the saddest things about, I guess, it means, NCAA ORG is you lose and you're out. That's sad. There's no living to fight another day.

Speaker 42449.16s - 2449.52s

No.

Speaker 152449.94s - 2504.54s

I think pro baseball because the season is so long. And then now you do, you had single elimination for a while, which was bizarre. And now you got best of three, which is even, you know, kind of ridiculous. But I like those old six-gate, six-team regionals where chances are you're going to playa double-header at some point. And then chances are, if you get the losers bracket, you're going to be getting this guy that hadn't pitched in a long, long time to go out there and pitch. Heck, that happened to Carolina in the College World Series EVENT. Michael Roth PERSON, you know, became, that's a legendary start that he made. And I sort of like that, like, that whole coming from behind of her.You know, one, Mike, Carolina ORG in the regionals played, we played, oh, yeah, because they were the super since Stanford ORG. They played UCF ORG. UCF took the first game, or game two.

Speaker 72504.64s - 2505.56s

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 152505.58s - 2509.82s

And then Blake Taylor, I was actually at Sarge Fryfield FAC for this.

Speaker 72509.94s - 2512.06s

One of my few personal appearances there.

Speaker 02512.16s - 2514.38s

I did not listen to your call and I watched it live.

Speaker 152515.04s - 2519.3s

Blake Taylor comes in, shuts him down the game one, and then throws like,

Speaker 02519.8s - 2521.84s

it may have been a complete gate.

Speaker 72522.36s - 2524.42s

This dude's 160 pounds soaking wet.

Speaker 152524.54s - 2525.28s

Soaking wet.

Speaker 72525.48s - 2528.42s

That dude was a warrior. A warrior.

Speaker 152528.88s - 2534.84s

That was UCF ORG's best team ever. They had two future pros on the mound.

Speaker 72535.46s - 2545.16s

I'll never forget that. They were loaded. And you lose the first game. And back then, you didn't have the extra day like you do now. Now it wraps around a Monday. So you have an extra day to breathe. Back then, you cr't have the extra day like you do now. Now it wraps around a Monday.

Speaker 152545.58s - 2547.6s

So you have an extra day to breathe.

Speaker 72548.28s - 2551.1s

Back then, you crammed it all into Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Speaker 152552.12s - 2555.74s

Also, I mean, you were just, you were dead tired.

Speaker 72555.74s - 2593.6s

But Blake Taylor showed as much guts as any player in a Gamecock baseball uniform ever did during that weekend. I'm telling you right now. It's lost in the shuffle because that was not an Omaha ORG team, but Blake PERSON was a grinder. Blake was such a good pickup as a Juco out of Columbus GPE, and that was a banking tycoon in Columbia ORG.Blake Taylor PERSON is one of those, you know, the culture people talk about that Gamecock ORG baseball built up. It was guys like Blake Taylor PERSON, honestly. Blake Taylor PERSON didn't have a major league arm, but holy, there was nobody tougher. I'm sorry, go ahead.

Speaker 152594.54s - 2619.94s

Well, no, I was just thinking during that time, I mean, had that not gone Carolina ORG's way and had the Miami super not gone Carolina's way, the trajectory of those early years of Tanner PERSON would have been a lot different. No, you're right. Baseball is not an undefeated sport, and you don't, you take what you can when you can. And it's either win or lose.

Speaker 72621.02s - 2627.76s

I mean, I remember that feeling like, man, UCF ORG's going to take them out. This is on top of that Lafayette thing last year. Yeah, yep, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 152627.76s - 2644.9s

You know, kept Bottnites PERSON on this team and they should be better. And then Blake Taylor PERSON does what he does. And then they got to Stanford ORG and really played Stanford's butt off after that. The opener was a debacle, but really played Stanford ORG off their feet. And the next year, the Miami thing happened and start going to Omaha ORG. The rest is history.

Speaker 72645.22s - 2675.26s

The Miami miracle when, when Carolina was down four to one in the ninth, everything you're talking about, JC was amplified by a thousand. It was, woe is me. We can't get over the hump. Clearly, there's something wrong continually this team that just knocks the crap out of the ball all season long, but then you start losing three to two.In that case, it was the final was going to be four to one. That Miami miracle will go down as one of the most important wins, I think, in Gamecock Athletics ORG. Yeah.

Speaker 02675.4s - 2684.18s

It just righted a whole lot of wrongs, and it turned the wheels for Gamecock ORG baseball to, it legitimized Gamecock baseball.

Speaker 32684.68s - 2686.68s

And that was the first of three straight Omaha ORG's.

Speaker 02687.48s - 2687.76s

Yeah.

Speaker 32688.1s - 2691.34s

You know, and again, I could go on and on.

Speaker 02691.44s - 2694.96s

The O2 team, if you would have had a best two out of three, you might have been sitting

Speaker 72694.96s - 2695.96s

on another championship.

Speaker 32696.12s - 2700.14s

The O-14 team was good enough to win a championship and we'll go down as talented as any

Speaker 72700.14s - 2701.74s

team that's ever played at Carolina ORG.

Speaker 32702.44s - 2707.6s

It took Fullerton ORG burning a kid's arm out to win that title.

Speaker 72708.7s - 2709.86s

That poor kid never made it.

Speaker 02710.46s - 2712s

Never made it, Jason Windsor PERSON.

Speaker 72713.26s - 2742.9s

But they got everything they could out of his arm, and he was never the same. Just some more graffiti here from RLE, getting Harold PERSON. This is going back to the Joel Clat PERSON poll. Actually, let me back up. I don't know how we got on this, J.C. Quint PERSON, did we ever, oh, Clint was talking about something that Jared PERSON said. When was the last time Carolina ORG had a five-star linebacker? Never. Well, Hurley was five-star, wasn't he? Ricardo PERSON.

Speaker 152743.24s - 2744s

Yeah, that was the.

Speaker 72744.62s - 2747.18s

Now, look, had the juco rankings

Speaker 152747.18s - 2753.5s

been giving out five stars at the time i think jasper brinkley would have a five-star juco linebacker

Speaker 72753.5s - 2758.3s

absolutely the hell of a player tackling machine dude that guy's crazy played for the vikings

Speaker 152758.3s - 2765.32s

but it's uh yeah i think uh i think as far as recruits go out of high school that that would have been that would have been one james i trust dc's at georgia GPE as far as recruits go out of high school, that would have been it.

Speaker 72765.5s - 2791.08s

That would have been one. James, I trust D.C.'s at Georgia as much as I trust quarterbacks in the PAC 12, or now with the PAC 2 ORG. RLE, getting Harold Perkins PERSON backed outside linebacker blitz specialist as a smart move. Yeah, they should have never taken them out of it. One of the many things that LSU did wrong defensively last year. He also says, I'm sleeping hard on Oklahoma ORG's O.C., they have no chance.Well, you and J.C. ORG are definitely sympathetic on that.

Speaker 152791.54s - 2810.64s

I was like you guys. I thought LSU ORG would just have a new coordinator and it would magically get fixed. But they haven't addressed their needs in the portal. They did not have a great portal run on defense. They don't have enough depth to detackle, which is stunning to me.

Speaker 72811.68s - 2813.46s

Stunning, absolutely stunning.

Speaker 42813.46s - 2814.62s

It should never happen there, right?

Speaker 152814.62s - 2815.16s

Not there.

Speaker 72815.32s - 2817.26s

No, no, you can throw a rocket at four.

Speaker 152817.42s - 2818.9s

Yeah, that is weird.

Speaker 72819.08s - 2821.82s

And they've got issues in safety and corner.

Speaker 152822.48s - 2850.38s

And Brad Crawford puts out an article today where I guess he heard from inside people that LSU Baker is saying, hey, let's just give good effort and hustle this year. And that people inside at LSU ORG don't think it's fixed. They think they're a year or two away. So if LSU ORG is not good on defense, given all they lost on offense, I don't know that we may not see one of those weird six and six LSU ORG's not good on defense, given all they lost on offense, I don't know that we maynot see one of those weird six and six LSU ORG seasons coming up.

Speaker 72851.94s - 2854.44s

Brian Kelly had a four and eight at Notre Dame one year.

Speaker 42854.54s - 2856.06s

I mean, he'll throw a bad one up there.

Speaker 72856.4s - 2861.36s

But that would, I don't, if you're a GameCat ORG fan, circle that game because they come to

Speaker 152861.36s - 2863.96s

Columbia, week three, man.

Speaker 72864.04s - 2868.52s

It's the SEC ORG home opener. Right after at Kentucky GPE, which, again.

Speaker 42869.8s - 2884.46s

Jan, not looking promising for the Yardcocks being a sure regional host, Rogers Fit ORG, Etheridge, just finished projecting their most recent 16 host sites. We were 16th, Jesus PERSON. Well, don't blame Hizuzuz PERSON. He had nothing to do with that.

Speaker 72885.22s - 2886.52s

I love you very much.

Speaker 152886.82s - 2889.96s

I love Hizuz PERSON, but he don't help me hit curveball.

Speaker 72890.9s - 2909.8s

Look, take two out of three against Georgia ORG, and that's 16th, when they do their podcast next week, will probably look more like 13th or 14th. That's my guess. Let's see. I'm not, Sonder PERSON.I'm not buying Ohio State ORG at number one with a big question mark at quarterback Fair enough

Speaker 22909.8s - 2912.88s

I think the other side of that is

Speaker 32912.88s - 2915.46s

there is no real

Speaker 22915.46s - 2918.3s

proof of concept

Speaker 32918.3s - 2919.86s

in the NIL

Speaker 22919.86s - 2927.18s

albeit small sample size era for buying a team that's going to win a championship.

Speaker 152927.98s - 2951.12s

There's not, but I don't know that I'd have to look and see how many guys they are actually. Obviously, starting quarterback is a portal guy because the kid from Kansas State, Walker Howard PERSON. Obviously, you got Quinn Shud Jenkins PERSON. How many did they have a bunch of defense? I'd have to look at that, Phil PERSON, because I'm with you, there's nothing that says, right? There's nothing that says that.

Speaker 22951.68s - 2979.74s

No, but now, I mean, what they're doing up there could be the perfect storm, right? Because they've not only, you know, gone out and basically skimmed off every top player from the portal in this cycle, but have done the same thing on the coaching staff. I mean, Day and his desperation here, feeling a little bit of warmth and staring down the barrel of losing to Michigan ORG again,

Speaker 02980.08s - 2985.16s

that's probably sending Harbaugh, you know, cards every day in the mail.

Speaker 72985.76s - 2994.14s

Thanks for leaving, bud. You hit on the key word, Phil, desperation, because if he loses to Michigan ORG again, he's done. He is out.

Speaker 02994.84s - 2996.06s

You can't lose this.

Speaker 32996.46s - 2997.56s

No, there's no way.

Speaker 02997.72s - 2998.22s

There's no way.

Speaker 32998.52s - 3000.26s

And I'll steal J.C. ORG's term.

Speaker 03000.92s - 3003.14s

They had a caged animal off season.

Speaker 33003.82s - 3006.3s

They just said, no more.

Speaker 73006.74s - 3013.18s

We're going to buy our way out of any possibility of losing.

Speaker 33013.5s - 3016.6s

It's not like they had a bad year, but they didn't have a good enough year.

Speaker 73016.9s - 3024.74s

So we'll see. I think it's going to be a fascinating case study on what they're able to do with all the money they spent.

Speaker 23026.24s - 3030.84s

Watch James Franklin finally win the championship in the big ten.

Speaker 33031.84s - 3035.7s

That's right.

Speaker 23035.7s - 3037.64s

Aller PERSON will have to play better at quarterback for that to happen. He doesn't win the big game.

Speaker 73038.5s - 3038.7s

No.

Speaker 23039.62s - 3041.38s

He doesn't.

Speaker 153041.38s - 3043.92s

He would beat Tennessee every now and then at Mandy.

Speaker 73044.52s - 3045.24s

But when he. Yes. Like we keep going back to those. He would beat Tennessee every now and then at Vandy ORG.

Speaker 153046.6s - 3047.3s

Yes.

Speaker 73048.68s - 3049.72s

We keep going back to those.

Speaker 153049.92s - 3050.62s

Yeah.

Speaker 73052.66s - 3053.5s

We keep going back to those two Vandy years.

Speaker 153055.48s - 3055.64s

Penn State ORG fans really don't care about that.

Speaker 73059.52s - 3063.22s

They just look at a guy who's been given the keys to an elite program, and at some point you have to start winning some of the games, not all of them,

Speaker 143063.62s - 3065.68s

some of the games against Ohio State Michigan ORG.

Speaker 73066.22s - 3067.78s

Or you no longer keep that job.

Speaker 153067.78s - 3075.32s

He really is kind of Mark Rick PERSON, but without the early success that Rick, he's middle of the years, Rick.

Speaker 73076.12s - 3078.12s

Because Rick PERSON got him better.

Speaker 153078.28s - 3080.62s

Rick was better than Ray Golf, and he was better than Donnan PERSON.

Speaker 73081.24s - 3082.74s

And won two SEC ORG titles.

Speaker 153083.34s - 3086.16s

He provided them with a lot of exciting moments early.

Speaker 73086.76s - 3089.82s

And, you know, Frankl did win one Big Ten ORG.

Speaker 153091.62s - 3093.1s

Went 11 and two doing it.

Speaker 73093.1s - 3093.72s

But he did win one.

Speaker 153093.82s - 3099.86s

But now it's just like, you know, they're good every year. Just not that good.

Speaker 73101.28s - 3102.34s

I'm going to be interesting.

Speaker 153102.88s - 3106.32s

As for Ohio State, I think, I think they'd be my number one.

Speaker 73108.82s - 3111.08s

Their schedules, you know.

Speaker 153111.62s - 3113.44s

I'll keep Georgia number one.

Speaker 73114.44s - 3119.9s

I'll put my money on what Georgia's got going on with Carson Beck PERSON back.

Speaker 153120.38s - 3121.84s

I know what Carson Beck PERSON's going to do.

Speaker 73121.9s - 3183.7s

I don't know what Ohio State's ORG quarterback's going to do. You know, they poach ETN, one of the few weapons that Florida GPE had, and he'll fit right in there nicely. And they're going to defend as well as anybody. So I'll take Georgia ORG one. Bruin Nation ORG.I take a guy like Tony V in a heartbeat. Yeah, I mean, what he's done at Tennessee GPE. Now, he's got to have some success in Omaha ORG, too, to really make people happy over there to get over that hump. They had the disappointment a couple years ago on a team that just ran a rough shot over everybodyand then got bounced at home in a super at home. There's another example. I can give you several more against Notre Dame ORG, against the Notre Dame team. Mike, I don't know where this came from. Talk about a nervous flyer. Oh, with JC, I'm not flying anything, Boeing ORG anytime soon. The problem with that, Mike, it's like Boeing ORG is it's hard to book a flight where it's not a Boeing plane, right?

Speaker 23184.02s - 3188.04s

That's right. Well, just make sure you don't have the max at the end of it. I think that's the key.

Speaker 153188.92s - 3193.96s

We flew a Max back from Las Vegas and white knuckled the whole way. Yeah.

Speaker 23195.46s - 3196.74s

It's kind of crocheting.

Speaker 73197.2s - 3202.32s

So Craig, Craig had a question about Maryland, Mike, and I'll answer it if you won't be too.

Speaker 153202.32s - 3202.8s

Yeah, go.

Speaker 73202.86s - 3203.62s

I'm just going in order.

Speaker 153203.82s - 3206.24s

Yeah, he just, yeah, it was way back earlier.

Speaker 73206.4s - 3208.36s

He said, well, Maryland ORG has all this,

Speaker 153208.42s - 3209.82s

the state of Maryland ORG has all this talent.

Speaker 73210.46s - 3215.62s

Obviously, South Carolina out of DC and Maryland's getting two straight five-star recruits.

Speaker 153216.26s - 3243.78s

There's always good players up there. What's their excuse for not being top four in the Big Ten? Well, it's because they've, they, like South Carolina GPE used to have a big problem with big time players from the state leaving, almost like basketballwas, or hopefully is changing now. But guys, in the 90s, that's a miracle. Brad Scott PERSON won anything because every, there was a level of player that would always

Speaker 113243.78s - 3246.2s

leave and go to Tennessee, Florida State, Georgia State.

Speaker 103246.9s - 3249.16s

You know, Notre Dame, Ohio State ORG, wherever.

Speaker 113249.58s - 3250.36s

There was that level.

Speaker 103250.54s - 3252.42s

And then there was Clemson and South Carolina's GPE level.

Speaker 153252.54s - 3268.76s

It was almost like there was second class. That changed tremendously. I mean, Georgia ORG will come in and get one every now and then. Sometimes North Carolina GPE will get a good player that neither one wants. But other than that, I mean, you know, there's no Florida State ORG coming in here and getting guys. It's just the border's closed, man.

Speaker 73269.24s - 3272.48s

The other difference is, Jay C, see, I've never worked a game at Maryland ORG.

Speaker 153272.6s - 3275.1s

I don't know if you've ever covered a game there. Oh, terrible.

Speaker 73275.7s - 3291.7s

They don't have like Williams Bryce PERSON. They don't have 80,000 fans and, you know, living, breathing, talking college football, 365. Like, that's just not Maryland ORG. It's just, they're not set up for that.

Speaker 23292.24s - 3294.9s

It's across that dividing line where that's,

Speaker 43294.96s - 3297.26s

it's professional sports territory up there.

Speaker 73297.26s - 3298.14s

Without question.

Speaker 43298.14s - 3299.54s

You remember, Mike, yeah, you live there.

Speaker 73299.62s - 3302.62s

I've lived there. I mean, that's all the talk is the proteins.

Speaker 23303.22s - 3305.48s

It's all about the commanders and the Ravens ORG.

Speaker 43305.48s - 3308.98s

Like, I just did a Ravens game this year out there.

Speaker 23309.28s - 3311.56s

So Maryland had a home game the day before.

Speaker 73312.3s - 3315.4s

I mean, everywhere I went, there's Ravens ORG paraphernalia.

Speaker 23315.46s - 3317.18s

I didn't see anything of Maryland ORG.

Speaker 73317.4s - 3367.06s

It's like they don't even exist. No, that's, that's, I don't think Maryland ORG, regardless of who they hire, is ever going to be a power in college football. I mean, I go back the first time I ever knew what Maryland football was, boomer asycin PERSON, that was their big, that was their big deal at quarterback. They have blips here and there, but Maryland ORG's never been, there's talent that comes out of there, yes. But that's why it's always been to me a smart move for Carolina ORG to invade that part of the country.Because other than Penn State, there's not a whole lot of powers in the Northeast LOC. But there are talented players, as J.C. knows better than I, that come out of there every year. So if you can just kind of make that part of your territory, it's a great strategy.

Speaker 153368.18s - 3369.86s

South Carolina GPE's got a ton of students from there,

Speaker 73369.94s - 3374.32s

and it's the closest to SEC ORG school. Yeah, Maryland's same way of Redkers NORP is.

Speaker 153375.2s - 3391.86s

As far as, like, Rutgers ORG, like most of the top kids from Jersey GPE, you either go to Penn State ORG or dot, dot, dot. Same thing with Maryland ORG. They'll get their share of like that middle part. And that's enough to keep them competitive, I think, but also with what they do in the portal.

Speaker 43392.58s - 3395.72s

But it's not enough to put them into any kind of upper tier.

Speaker 153395.8s - 3407.42s

Now that there's no divisions and they can't feast on Indiana and Rutgers ORG every year and three little sisters of the poor in non-conference, I just don't think Bradur Day Days are ahead for Mike Loxley PERSON. I'll just tell you that right now.

Speaker 73407.76s - 3462.96s

Yeah, I'm with you there for certain. Jay Diz PERSON, so much disrespect. The Rothstein, talking about John Rothstein PERSON, 45 rankings, Gamecocks ORG were nowhere to be found. Joe Lannardi PERSON revealed his way too early mock tournament, and there were no Gamecocks of the projection. Folks, you can get used to this. Ranking's were nowhere to be found. Joe Lannardi PERSON revealed his way too early mock tournament, and there were no Gamecocks ORG of the projection. Folks, you can get used to this. They are going based on what the team was last year and who's returning. And the only player that they really know is Murray Boyles PERSON. They don't know. They're not doing a deep dive into Carolina ORG's portal class. They're not doing a deep dive into Carolina's portal class. They're not doing a deep dive on Tom PERSON. They don't know. So I wouldn't make too much of that. You can expect Carolina once again to not get high preseason rankings. And just like last year, it will matter very, very little.

Speaker 23464.24s - 3471.72s

I don't think you'll be last at the SEC Media Days this year, but, you know. No, not last at all.

Speaker 73471.72s - 3472.94s

I don't know if you'll be in the top half.

Speaker 23473.7s - 3474.5s

Maybe.

Speaker 73475.56s - 3480.04s

Yeah, that's going to take more brainpower than I can use here in the final.

Speaker 153481.3s - 3483.04s

There's news.

Speaker 33483.18s - 3483.88s

I have to pass along.

Speaker 73484.4s - 3485.5s

Oh, news. Breaking news. I think it's along. Oh, new. Breaking news.

Speaker 23485.7s - 3488.56s

I think it's a TV change for Thursday night.

Speaker 153489.26s - 3492.78s

I think it was supposed to be on either SEC Network or ESPNU ORG.

Speaker 03492.96s - 3494.54s

Now, I've moved to the deuce.

Speaker 23495.08s - 3496.5s

I saw it was on the deuce.

Speaker 03496.68s - 3497.32s

The deuce.

Speaker 23498.24s - 3501s

So ESPN 2 ORG, first pitch 8 p.m.

Speaker 153501s - 3503.68s

So a primetime deuce.

Speaker 23504.08s - 3504.42s

Boom.

Speaker 153505.22s - 3507.54s

Battle with the Bulldogs ORG.

Speaker 23507.84s - 3508.94s

How's that for alliteration?

Speaker 153509.38s - 3511.26s

That's fantastic.

Speaker 73512.38s - 3515.02s

Jacob, that night we lost to Arizona in 2013,

Speaker 153515.62s - 3519.36s

one of, if not the most emotional night for me as a Gamecock ORG fan.

Speaker 43520.66s - 3522.86s

I'm guessing, Jacob, you might be a little younger.

Speaker 73523.46s - 3546.28s

But, yeah, that was definitely painful because it stopped a three-peat, potentially. There have been a few more, depending on how far back you want to go. Harrison, lack of depth, the defensive tackle, and they come to Williams-Brice FAC with a healthy rocket and sellers running the rock. I like our chances. I guess he's talking about the LSU ORG game that we were referencing earlier.

Speaker 153547.34s - 3549.92s

It's not in a good spot for LSU ORG, I don't think.

Speaker 73550.9s - 3555.68s

No, no. And that place is going to be nuts if you're 2-0 heading into that one.

Speaker 153556.24s - 3558.84s

You're going to have J.C. ORG big-time eyes on you.

Speaker 23560.62s - 3562.76s

Lynette, what are the chances of Jontay Gilbert PERSON?

Speaker 73564.48s - 3567.16s

I think Carolina ORG, if they push for him, we'll get him.

Speaker 33567.52s - 3569.38s

I mean, the competition's changed a little bit.

Speaker 73569.48s - 3576.22s

It was gone from Ohio State and Clemson to, like, Duke and Charlotte GPE maybe or somebody.

Speaker 153576.52s - 3596.18s

And then there's another Power 5 ORG mixed in there somewhere that's a relatively big. It's kind of been weird. Actually, I'm going to check on him and make sure he's still a priority for the coaching staff. I'm assuming he is, but they've got a lot of DBs committed and others leaning their way, especially in the safety position. So we'll see kind of what.I'll have to check on that. All right.

Speaker 73596.4s - 3618s

Good stuff from everybody out there in ITG land and on chat row for a little Gamecock ORG graffiti to close things out. Been fun. Jamie will be back in the cockpit seat tomorrow with you fellas. I've enjoyed the time here the last few days. If you didn't catch J.C. and Morgan, we didn't get our Texas GPE guest. But other than that, it was good.

Speaker 153619.14s - 3622s

That was a basically got away. Back down.

Speaker 73622s - 3625.04s

I explained for Jerry PERSON. No and Jerry. I explained for Jerry.

Speaker 13625.22s - 3627.28s

I know exactly what happened.

Speaker 73627.4s - 3629.38s

No, I hear you. We're kidding.

Speaker 153629.82s - 3630.92s

We'll get him.

Speaker 73631.22s - 3634.7s
