Here to recap Wednesday's action on the diamond. Get you ready for a short Thursday slate on tap. So let's get cracking. Wednesday's slate got a little shorter for us.We had two postponements. The Braves and White Sox ORG were postponed with rain and snow in the forecast. The game will be made up on Thursday, June 27th. Tigers and Mets, their game was postponed for the second straight day due to tons of rain up there in New York GPE. The games will be played as a double header now on Thursday, originally a getaway day for these two teams, but they'll play a double header.The Tigers are going to throw Casey Mize and Matt Manning PERSON, who many thought should have made the rotation out the gate. He'll be called up as the extra man on Thursday and make the start in game two. Adrian Houser still scheduled to pitch game one for the Mets, TBD for game two at this point time. Trevor McGill, reliever, Milwaukee Brewers ORG, notch another one up to the weird baseball injury category. On Monday, McGill was at a Spectrum ORG store, maybe looking at a new phoneservice, I don't know, but he fainted and hit his head. McGill is now placed on the seven-day I.L. for concussion, which is quite strange. J.B. Bukowskis PERSON was recalled to take his spot in the rotation or in the bullpen. Hopefully Miguel PERSON is good to go going forward. Josh Young originally expected to miss six to eight weeks with his wrist injury after surgery, successful surgery. They found a more severe injury than anticipated.So Josh Young is going to miss eight to ten weeks now. This makes Josh Young in leagues without IELs, a la NFBC ORG formats, potentially a drop if you are running out of roster crunch. You can only stash so many players. This can make it difficult for young. Really stinks. Great start to the season.He's always been pretty good. Just can't stay away from those freakish injuries. We saw Josh Smith get to start at third base on Tuesday. Ezekiel Duran got the start on Wednesday. Josh Smith played shortstop as Corey Singer PERSON moved to D.H. On Wednesday,so we'll still see how this plays out. In a perfect world, Ezekiel Duran is the everyday third baseman for the Texas Rangers ORG, but time will tell with what the Rangers do with their upcoming series over the weekend. The Mets, they signed Julio Tehran to a one-year deal. Makes a little bit of sense. Is there in need of some more starting pitching with Tyler McGill's PERSON injury and whatnot? So Tehran was actually serviceable, weirdly enough for the Brewers last year. Like it wasn't pretty or waiting for the other shoe to drop at all times,but he kept putting out decent starts. I wouldn't trust him this season, but Tehran PERSON will be out there if needed. Luis Rangifo, the mascot of the Bubba Bloom PRODUCT pod. He got the start and let off for the Angels on Wednesday. Rendon got the day off after he started 0 for 19 this season. Rengifah gets to start, doubled in his first out bad. Everybody's pumped, especially me.Then Rengifa leaves the game in the seventh inning after feeling lightheaded. Rufo's day to day, hopefully it's nothing too serious. And hopefully Rangifo starts to play regularly because he is much better than Anthony Rindon PERSON. More Angels news, Robert Stevenson, a big timetime reliever, picked up this offseason for the Halos. He is rehabbing now. He's thrown three bullpins already this week. He's scheduled to throw a live batting practice this weekend. And if all continues to go well for Stevenson PERSON,he'll have a few rehab outings next week and then return to the Angels ORG. So we're looking at maybe another week to 10 days in a perfect world, two weeks max. We could see Stevenson back with the Halos. Brandon Lau to the Angels. Lau left Wednesday's game with tightness in his left side.No doctor, but that sounds kind of like an oblique injury. MRI is likely to take place the next day or two. And if it's an oblique injury that user requires an IEL stint. A lot of what ifs, as we don't know the full stories yet for Brandon Lough PERSON, but we'll find out more in the coming days. If Lowe is to miss some time, the Medrizario and Curtis Mead could see some more time at second base.Justin Verlander of the Houston Astros is scheduled to throw a rehab outing on Sunday, possibly throwing 70 to 75 pitches in that outing. So if you do quick math there, not next week, but early the following week, Verlander PERSON can be up with the big club.For all the Pardomo of the Arizona Diamondbacks left Wednesday's game with a knee injury after the games, Toro Lavello, and the Dback said Perdomo PERSON is day-to-day. They're not too concerned with the injury just yet, but we shall see if Perdomo PERSON is to miss a lot of time, Blaze Alexander PERSON, the rookie that got to start the season withthe big club playing very, very well, could fill in at shortstop. He is off to a great start the season, including a home run on Wednesday. Jason Hayward of the Dodgers mentioned he had back tightness on Tuesday. The Dodgers picked up Taylor Trammell PERSON as well.Well, the trickle-down effect took place on Wednesday as Jason Hayward PERSON was placed on the IL with that lower back tightness. Taylor Trammell was called up to take his spot on the Dodgers ORG roster. You'd imagine Tramel fills in as the strong side of the platoon that Hayward PERSON was in in a corneroutful position for the time being. Brendan Donovan of the St. Louis Cardinals ORG has been leading off for the Cardinals.He left Wednesday's game to being hit on the elbow by a pitch. He is day to day. We'll be evaluated further on Thursday. We'll see where this goes. The Cardinals ORG are kind of optimistic here, but that's all you can do with a hit by pitch. Alec Burleson could see more time in Donovan's spot,plus Lars Neup PERSON bars real close to returning, so it's all could play out one way or another, but kind of stunk because Brennan Donovan PERSON was actually playing pretty well in that leadoff spot better than I expected to start the season. Victor Robles of the Washington Nationals left Wednesday's game with a left hamstring injury. He will get an MRI on Thursday.Early indications have Victor Robles heading to the IL ORG. Eddie Rosario could fill in in center field for Victor Robles PERSON. We could also see the Nationals call up Jacob Young or Alex Call, two players we saw last year, get called up. Jacob Young is not much power, but a ton of speed at like 13 steals and 33 games for the gnats last year so that could be a nice stolen base asset if you're looking for thaton the flip side Alex call only hit 200 in his short time with the gnats last year we had eight home runs and nine stolen bases so two guys that might be more deeply relevant but could find some fantasy value everybody is going to be wanting wanting James Wood PERSON to get the call. He could. I just don't see it happening. I see the Nats waiting longer to bring James Wood PERSON up.If they wanted him up, he probably would have already been here. It's my thoughts with James Wood PERSON. So I feel like it's going to be Jacob Young or Alex call, but I could be wrong. I'm not a GM.Hammer Candelario PERSON, the Cincinnati Reds. He hit a double on Wednesday, but when he swung, he kind of winced and grabbed his elbow. He left the game with a hyper-extended elbow. He'll be further evaluated on Friday before the Reds played their weekend series. The Reds ORG don't seem concerned.The trainers after the game were working on the elbow and said, he's day-to-day, they wouldn't be shocked if he's back on Friday, but time will tell. Last but not least, Jameson Ty on on the Chicago Cubs ORG. He's scheduled to make a rehab start on Sunday. It'll be his first rehab start. He's scheduled to make a few more,and the goal is to have Tyon back by the end of the month for the Chicago Cubs ORG. All right, some hitting highlights from Wednesday. There's a lot of hitting, a lot of good stuff. And like usually, we try to not give the captain obvious picks here as, you know, Suzuki did it again and, you know, Yordon PERSON double two home runs and so many things like that. So we'll keep it a little different. Taylor Ward PERSON, three for five with a double a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs as the halos put up10 runs on the fish. That gives Ward three home runs already this season. If you listen to any of my other podcasts, I've been talking up Taylor Ward PERSON all offseason as a value in drafts because, you know, you missed a lot of last season by getting hit in the head by Alec Manoa PERSON. It's just a freakish injury. It's all about getting confidence back at the plate.He's talked about being confident during the spring, and he's showing it already. This was a guy that was a high draft pick before last season's debacle. Alex Kirillov PERSON, a guy that we've always known has a great hit tool, it's just a matter of staying healthy. Well, he's healthy at least for now. Kierloff went four for four with a double, a triple two run scored and a walk on Wednesday.Kierloff is now hitting 444 on the season with three extra base hits in a 10% strikeout rate. That's a whole lot of contact for Kierloff, and he's hitting like second most games for the Minnesota Twins. So that's a plus as well. And then Captain Jack Swinsky, first game for the Pirates starting versus a right-handed pitcher.So Captain Jack PERSON was back. He was hit in cleanup, and he went two for forward with a double, a home run, two-run, two-run scored in an RBI. I love Jack Soinsky PERSON for fantasy, just a matter of candy pirates face more right-handed pitching. And if so, he'll be quite valuable across most formats. Yes, Logan Allen, six and two-thirds shutout innings versus the Mariners, four hits, three walks, and six strikeouts. The Mariners have been struggling to start the year. Lots of strikeouts in Seattle GPE. Logan Allen had nine whiffs and a 35% CSW in 93 pitches. Allen has started out the year at two wins on 11 and two-thirds innings thrown with a 231ERA and nine strikeouts. Joe Musgrove, after a horrific, not great spring, a horrific start in Korea, not great start against the Giants, bounced back beautifully against the Cardinals on Wednesday. Musgrove through six innings, one run, five hits, one walk. That's a width of one, folks. Seven strikeouts for Musgrove PERSON. He had 12 lists and a 31% CSW over 88 pitches.I was still nervous with Joe Musgrove PERSON, but this was a great sign and a move in the right direction. Aaron Savali, six innings, one earned, four hits,, two walks and eight Ks for the Tampa Bay Rays against the Texas Rangers ORG. Very good offense there. Savali had 10 whiffs and a 33% CSW over 87 pitches, and he has looked outstanding to start the year for the raise. Savali has done 12 innings over his two starts with a 1-50 ERA and 14 strikeouts. Big boy stuff there as the arrays continue to switch up Savali's pitch mix like we saw towards the end of last year,and it's carrying over greatly to start this season. Some relief pitching highlights from Wednesday. Will Smith of the Kansas City Royals looked horrible and blew the save against the Baltimore's blowing a win for one Cole PERSON. Ace is going to ace Reagan PERSON's.Smith PERSON has looked rough so far as expected. I've been a big James MacArthur PERSON advocate in draft season, hoping he is the man. There are some other options there, but Will Smith likely not long for the role in Kansas City. Guillermo Zuniga picked up a three-inning save for the Angels and a blowout against the fish.Kelly Jansen picked up his second save of the year for the Red Sox ORG. It was a roller coaster ride, but he got the job done. Caleb Ferguson picked up the save for the Yankees and extra Indians ORG. Clay Holmes got the blown save, which was kind of flugy. He did really nothing wrong. It was just a bad call and a few other things, but Clay Holmes PERSON, they get to win when all thing was said and done. Alexis Diaz of the Cincinnati Reds picked up his first save of the year. Robert Soros PERSON picked uphis third save for the San Diego Padres. Kyle Finnegan picked up his second save for the Nats ORG. He'll end up getting you 20-something saves and free in drafts. And Suarez PERSON was even more free, which is beautiful to see. Danelson Lament picked up his first save of the year for the Los Angeles Dodgers ORG, as he was called up yesterday to join the team. Daniel Hudson faced the kind of heart of the Giants order in the 8th.Lament got the ninth as Evan Phillips got the day off. So we picked up his third save of the season on Tuesday.
