Speaker 10s - 38.76s

Roy Neal PERSON will join us now. Our correspondent, I've been following the Trump trial as it gets back underway today in New York City GPE. Welcome in, Roy PERSON. Happy Monday to you. Hey there, J.T. Happy Monday. So here we go. I am Michael Cohen PERSON back on the stand. What is this day three for him now? Let's see. He did Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and they were off Friday. So, yep.Oh, my gosh. Here we go. Cross-examination by the defense. How about the pluses and minuses of Cohen PERSON's testimony? Because everybody that I've been listening to and reading about says he's just kind of blowing it for the prosecutors.Yeah.

Speaker 040.24s - 85s

The defense has been very good the past two days. So he did start, obviously, as a witness for the prosecution. Cross-examination, though, he really has been very good the past two days. So he did start, obviously, as a witness for the prosecution. Cross-examination, though, he really has been falling apart under some of the questioning. Today, the attorneys for the former president will start things off. They're not expected to have him on the stand very long today on cross-examination, but the prosecution will try with redirect.During that, they'll try to build back his credibility. Good luck. And then we might actually, now we're going to see, though, if the defense will call any witnesses. They may just say, look, the prosecution never proved their case, and we'll lay it all out to the jury in closing arguments. So it's possible we could have those closings as early as tomorrow.

Speaker 185.34s - 136.16s

Yeah, here's, I mean, he is supposedly Alvin Bragg's PERSON star witness and the prosecutors in this whole thing just catching up folks. They've got to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump falsified business records 34 times to conceal this $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels PERSON. So it's all about the falsifying records. It's not about the payment to Stormy Daniels PERSON, which is not illegal about the falsifying records. It's not about the payment to StormyDaniels, which is not illegal. It's how it was classified and recorded. And they are saying, no, look, this has nothing to do with that. This was a retainer fee. It had nothing to do with campaign contributions. So that's basically the gist in the heart of the case here. Alvin Bragg PERSON says, oh, yes, it did have something to do with campaign money. And they're saying, no, it didn't. But will Donald Trump PERSON take the stand? I mean, there's thoughts that he may or may not. Do you believe that he would? On Friday, his attorneys told the

Speaker 0136.16s - 165.68s

judge they don't expect to call him. I know the former president likes to, you know, dip his toe in the water and keep us jawing about it, but it seems unlikely to take, he'll take the stand and testify. But obviously we're writing this all in pencil as things could change. But currently, if we're on this timeline,it would be wrap up testimony today, closing arguments Tuesday, Wednesday off, and then Thursday we could see the start of jury deliberations. Maybe this whole thing is wrapped up before the Memorial Day weekend holiday. Boy, would that be nice, right? I'm thinking the jury of jury deliberations. Maybe this whole thing is wrapped up before the Memorial Day weekend holiday.

Speaker 1165.86s - 171.58s

Boy, would that be nice, right? I'm thinking the jury doesn't take long, right? I mean, what do you think?

Speaker 0172.66s - 176.46s

Well, going into a holiday weekend. Yeah.

Speaker 1176.62s - 195.36s

I think that's, I think that'll speed up the process. Yeah, me too. All right, quickly, your thoughts on Judge Alito, one of our Supreme Court ORG justices. And this whole thing about flying his flag upside down after January 6th and what took place there at the Capitol FAC. Did he do this intentionally? Was this something he wasn't aware of?

Speaker 0195.36s - 246.02s

Or what happened here? Well, it was done at his home intentionally. There were photographs that neighbors had taken that showed an American NORP flag flying upside down outside the home of the justice. And the New York Times got confirmation that this all happened shortly after January 6th. Now, the justice in a response to the New York Times ORG questions confirmed that yes, it happened. But he said this was actually a result of his wife arguing with neighbors about some four-letter words that were included on political signs posted in the neighborhood. But Democrats NORP are complaining, obviously. They're saying that you add Justice Alito with Justice Thomas PERSON. Both of them are already siding with some of the people involved in the January 6th protests and should recuse themselves from future Trump PERSON cases. We should.

Speaker 1246.66s - 246.82s

Yeah.

Speaker 0247s - 250.3s

Unlikely. You're right about that. All right, Roy PERSON, thank you, buddy. I appreciate you.
